Lenovo Z50-70, Intel VGA driver not validated

Q: Lenovo Z50-70, Intel VGA driver not validated

I have downloaded new Intel VGA Driver for Windows 10 (64-bit) here And when I try to install it I get this error:?I am using Lenovo Z50-70 and I downloaded this driver found on the list which I searched by using serial number of this laptop so it should definately be the VGA driver for this laptop. Also I am using clean installation of a different Windows 10, not the upgrade from Windows 8.1 which came with this laptop, but I don't think (or at least hope) that is the issue. Is there a way to fix this without manually forcing drivers to install?

I recommend downloading and running DAP. It can help sort out any driver and firmware related issues on your system

It's worked out well for many of us in the past.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloaddap.org. (This link will open the download page of DAP so you can save a copy to your computer.)

A:Driver update error: driver being installed is not validated

Hi

The error means that you try to install an driver which is not compatible with the graphic card.

What notebook do you have and what graphic chip does this notebook support?

I have an HP dm4t 1200 and i've been attempting to download the latest update to my graphics card, an intel hd graphics card . I am downloaded the update from the HP website itself but each time i try it gives me the error message "the driver being installed is not validated for this computer. Please obtain the appropriate driver from the manufacturer." It is there a fix for this or do I have to get raked over the coals?

A:This Driver is not validated for this computer!

The latest available driver for your computer from HP is dated 2010-12-03, and it's version:8.15.10.2189. Is that what you are trying to download and install?

Hey thur. First time poster. I've been having an error where the igxp driver gets killed and then revives multiple times during one game (it plays well with games like Tron 2.0, Postal, and Fable but it crashes on Age of Mythology. I mean, really?).

After much searching, I was told to just update the driver and that might fix it.
However, the driver update that I downloaded came straight from Gateway but won't install. It's kind of what happened to this guy: Video Driver
It unpacked just fine and all the files are in the CAB folder, but when I click Setup.exe it immediately says it hasn't been validated and won't install.

How can I get around this and make it install regardless?

UPDATE:
I just got the driver for the specific chipset from the INTEL website. This -also- is not validated and will not complete the install.
So I have two different versions that cannot install. Need help, pl0x.

A:Driver not Validated Error

Nevermind. I got it all working now.

I made a restore point and then uninstalled the graphics driver in the Device Manager and then installed the new driver from there. Apparently it's some sort of workaround that bypasses the validation check? Not sure, but it certainly got the driver installed.

NO MORE PROBLEMS WITH AGE OF MYTHOLOGY!

If you?ve downloaded the correct driver (32-bit vs 64-bit) for the hardware and are still getting the incompatibility error, then it is likely that the hardware in question does require a specific driver from Toshiba.

It?s not uncommon for laptop manufactures to modify hardware or software to operate a specific way on their computers. This appears to be one of those cases.

I would suggest you contact Toshiba to be sure. You can also find out when they are likely to update the driver in question.

Good luck

hi i have just bought my mother a new pc lenovo windows 7 64bit i set it up all working fine but there is no sound? i thought back to vista when there were problems, i have looked at the device manager and it lists intel R h61 express chipset, i tried the lenovo site for downloads but it seems it is for realtek?
can anyone help me find which driver i need to update, if it is a driver problem?

A:lenovo pc help with intel h61 sound driver?

The Intel express chipset and the RealTek sound are two different items. Intel chipset is the motherboard chipset drivers.

Check the Control Panel/Hardware and Sound and finally the Sound Panel. The "Speakers" need to be set as the default playback device. You can also configure for the correct speaker type and test the speakers from this panel.

My display driver "Intel HD Graphics 5500" has basically stopped working. When it is enabled, it makes the screen go crazy (hard to describe), and it is usable but just barely. I can disable the driver and the issue stops. So far, the only problem I've noticed with the driver disabled is that I cannot adjust the brightness, but there are probably more issues that I don't know about yet. My computer is completely up to date, with both Windows and Lenovo updates. I have deleted and reinstalled the driver multiple times (including old versions) but every time the same issue reappears. I have no idea what to do next. Any help would be greatly appreciated, and I can give more information about my system/drivers if needed.

Hi, I want to upgrade my Windows to the latest update (October 2018). But upon reading the Lenovo support website, it seems that it's advisable to upgrade Intel Graphics Driver to version 24.20.100.6286 and newer which is available with Intel Audio Driver 10.25.0.10. I have tried updating my drivers through Lenovo Vantage, but that only installed the Nvidia VGA driver, not the Intel one. I also checked the available drivers on Lenovo support page but the Intel Graphics Driver version I need is not listed. Am I missing anything? Is there a timeline on when that driver is going to come out? Thanks.

Hi! The Thinkpad X1 Yoga 2017/2:nd edition has an OLED panel option. Lenovo's download page for this model, https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/hk/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/thinkpad-x-series-laptops/thinkpad-... , offers a driver "Intel "OLED Panel Driver for Windows 10 (64-bit) - ThinkPad X1 Yoga (Type: 20JD, 20JE, 20JF, 20JG)", 1.0.0.5, 2017/10/02, in the Display and Video Graphics section. In Windows, the device appears as "Intel(R) OLED Panel Driver" under "System devices" in the Windows Device Manager. Normally I'd think all needed to drive a display is the graphics driver (e.g. "Intel(R) HD Graphics 620" under "Display adapters") and a monitor file for resolution, frequency and color calibration ("OLED Display 2560x1440" under "Monitors"). So, why do we need an "Intel(R) OLED Panel Driver", and what does this device actually do?

Hello Lenovo, I work daily on my Lenovo Thinkpad T570 and I am very satisfied with the machine. However, there is quite an irritating problem with the laptop. The fact is, that my laptop runs Windows 10 October build 1809 and runs the newest driver from Lenovo for the Intel GPU.That is version: 24.20.100.6344.This driver version causes a lot of screen flickering on a screen connected through the HDMI port.Intel has released a new driver. Version: 25.20.100.6444.To solve the problem, Lenovo has to push this new driver. Do others also experience this problem with this driver that is known to be faulty with the October update?

I don't see any temperature issues. Now in new update of Windows 10's task manager I only see nvidia GPU but not the integrated Intel one. I am unable to figure out the issue as what is conflicting. i'm running windows 10, 64bit, up to date on Windows updates, about a year ago i had an incompability problem with the Intel(R) management engine interface driver, i tired everything, rolling it back, update it, uninstall and re-install, every troubleshooting option and i read so many articles, even windows defender acknowledge the problem but can't fix it with no use
i tried fixing it with a Microsoft support agent before and with the remote desktop help, Cortana had a problem too he fixed it, but the driver he said the there is nothing we could do about it because it's just an incompatible update and that we should just wait for the correct update to come in.Ever since then my laptop do crazy things on sleep, hibernate and shutdown, so i was only finding some workarounds the problem, the sleep mode when it wake up it restart so i switched to hibernating, the new things happens now when i shut down it, it opens weird now like, the keyboard lights up then lights down and the power bottom the same, then either they just stop and i have to hit the power button again or they lights of for seconds and everything runs normalNow i just experiened a bluescreen restart because of it, anyone could advise me on a solution?RegardsNada

The newest Intel Video Driver that Lenovo Companion has made available (21.20.16.4678) has an issue ive found that wasnt present in the previous one, and is not present in a newer version (22.20.16.4718) installed automatically through Windows 10 after uninstalling the driver through "Add or remove programs". The bug is that certian (maybe all?) OpenGL applications seem slightly zoomed in. I tested this with Genymotion VM's, after the install of the new driver they all seemed to run as if the window border diddnt exist, clipping the edges of what is shown in the window (much more noticable at the top due to the title bar). Ive restored from backups and manually installed that driver from Lenovos driver download page for this system and the same issue occures. While its possible its an incompatibility with that software, it is not present in the newer drivers (this "new" driver is actually alwready old) so it might be worth pushing a newer driver.

I need to get this fixed today. Any ideas on what I can do to get the driver to work with OpenGL 2.0 or what driver I should install instead from Intel to get PsychoPy to work again. I tried contacting Intel but they aren't open until 2 PM tomorrow (GMT) which is too late. I tried contacting Lenovo, but they wouldn't tell me what version to download without me paying money. I don't understand why. I have a Lenovo Yoga 3 with Intel hardware. Can anyone help? Thanks!

Hey everyone, My Intel HD graphics 520 driver continuously crashes and basically shuts down my computer. The power button/keys are still on, but I just get a black screen (with some light behind it), as if it is in sleep mode, and I cannot wake up my computer anymore. The only solution then is to just force it off by holding the power button and restart it. I feel it happens at random, but it seems to occur more often when I'm playing a video or something (although that may just be a coincidence). I've had this problem for a long time and have tried several times to reinstall or update the driver. Because I got so fed up with it I just disabled the driver and used the NVIDIA Geforce 920M driver, which works sort of fine with the only big disadvantages that I can't increase or reduce the brightness of my screen anymore and can't run certain programs/games properly. So, therefore, I'm still looking for a solution.  Can anybody help me out?

The Intel Driver & Support Assistant said that it had an update: Intel® Graphics Driver for Windows* [15.40]. When I did a scan with the Lenovo Companion app, it said there were no updates available. Why the difference of opinion betwee the two apps?

When I go back to the previous recovery point, problem goes away. Tried installing twice and problem persisted until I backed out the installs.
