Monoprice graphics tablet not working properly

Q: Monoprice graphics tablet not working properly

I have to unplug and plug it back in several times before I can get the buttons to work. It takes even longer for the pen to work, and when it does it's only detected when I push down full strength. It's seldom detected when lightly pressing or hovering above the tablet screen, like it should and used to. I don't know what's wrong with this damn tablet, it used to work PERFECTLY. Then one day it stopped, and I've been having problems since. The last time I could draw something was about a month ago, and I even had (less severe) issues w it back then. This is just so frustrating.

Here is my tablet

I have the latest (v9.0, July 2014) drivers installed from the description of this specific tablet.

I am not terrible w technology, especially when I have instructions. Usually I can figure out problems myself. I guess I'm better at messing w mobile devices...
EDIT: When the pen does work and pressure sensitivity is detected, it doesn't lasy long. Whenever I try to draw in Paint Tool SAI it's verry jittery and lags quite a bit before stopping altogether.

I recommend downloading and running DAP. It can help sort out any driver and firmware related issues on your system

It's worked out well for many of us in the past.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloaddap.org. (This link will open the download page of DAP so you can save a copy to your computer.)

I have literally tried every single thing I can think of. I've had two computer technicians try different things, I've contacted Monoprice support, and nothing is working.

I recently (within the last week) bought a Monoprice MP1060-HA60 (PID 6814) graphics drawing tablet. The pressure sensitivity works but after an undetermined amount of time (can be anywhere from a few seconds to 10 minutes) the tablet stops controlling the mouse. The light on the tablet still lights up when the pen makes contact. I'm wondering if anyone else in the community has had this issue and found something that works?

I've tried the following:
- Installing the drivers from the CD. Uninstalled and reinstalled several times.
- Installing the drivers from the website. Uninstalled and reinstalled several times. There are two versions.

- Installing the Legacy drivers from the UC-Logic website (this worked for a few seconds before causing the tablet to freeze.) Uninstalled and reinstalled several times.
- Installing Photoshop CC 32-bit (since I run a 64-bit system.) Nope.
- Installed an older version of Photoshop (CS6). Works for a few minutes before stopping.

- Tried running Photoshop 64-bit and 32-bit both in compatibility mode with the tablet. Nope.
- Tried messing with all of the settings, nope.
- If I go into Brush Preferences > Shape Dynamics, there is an exclamation mark by the "pressure sensitivity" setting saying that Photoshop needs a pressure-sensitive tab... Read more

I have a Trust TB-4200 A4 graphics tablet

Installed it over 6 weeks ago in windows7 RC 64bit with Vista drivers.

works prefectly

turned my machine on today and suddenly its stopped working with this:

Windows cannot verify the digital signature for the drivers required for this device. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source. (Code 52)

I havent touched anything, havent changed anything, I've done nothing.

Why the hell has this happened??!?!!? I'm scewed now and have to pothc about dual booting into XP just to get my artwork finished

Why has Windows7 suddnely decided to block my drivers that have been working perfectly fine for 6 weeks for no reason!?!?

A:Graphics tablet has suddenly stopped working ((Code 52)

iTunes9 killed it

even after uninstalling it and running 2 different registry cleaners the tablet drivers were still being blocked.

Was forced to do a clean install in the end as i simply couldnt find a resolution to get these previously working drivers working again.

Clean install, drivers working 100% perfectly as they always had done.

I just bought a brand new bamboo touch & Pen graphics tablet.

I tryed it on adobe photoshop CS4 with the pen presure on opacity so the brush should be lighter or darker depending on how hard you press.

This works about half the time when drawing strait lines at the same pressure, the other half it draws a solid dark line at full pressure without me changing the pressure I put into the physical pen (this is not meant to happen).

If anyone can help me I would be very grateful, thanks.

Hello, I've been having issues regarding switchable graphics. It wont use Radeon 6700m on the game named Blade and Soul. No matter what i do, which option i choose, it will still be using Intel hd 4000.
I know this because A) it wont even find/show the game on Switchable Graphics Application Monitor. B) My Radeon wont have any activity shown on AMD System Monitor.
I cant set Switchable Graphics to be static on BIOS because there is no option there. I dont think i had any problem with the card as it could even run Mortal Kombat X  and provide same fps as this game which is like 6 years old and with much lower system req.
OS: Windows 10 x64
GPU: Intel Graphics 4000, AMD Radeon HD 6700M with latest drivers downloaded from HP website.

Tanri Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums!I read your post about your display problem and wanted to help. You say you're running Win10 but according to the HP Support page for your PC, it did not come with Win10 preinstalled.  So, in that case, you must have done the Win10 Upgrade, right? The Win10 Upgrade tool does a poor job of detecting PCs with multiple graphics chipsets (like yours) and, as a result, is unable to install the proper drivers for those chipsets to work.Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but the problem you're up against is that Microsoft only supplies drivers with the most basic functionality, and what you really need for FULL functionality in laptops is the specialized drivers written for the specific hardware found in laptops. However, you could consider using HP Win8.1 drivers -- although there's no guarantee that those drivers will work.  Here's the link to the HP Product drivers and software page for Win8.1 for your PC:  http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-Pavilion-g6-Notebook-PC-series/5262606/model/5283... If that page does not show Win8.1 when you open it, then click CHANGE and select Windows 8.1 using the pulldowns. Also, since you're going to be installing AMD drivers, then run their clean utility BEFORE you attempt to reinstall the HP drivers:  AMD Clean Uninstall UtilityGood LuckI am a volunteer and I do not work for, nor do I represent, HP.===================================... My P70 has 4k screen, i7-6820HQ, 16gb RAM and m3000m as GPU. With the hybrid graphics option on in BIOS, the notebook doesn't switch to dedicated GPU when needed. For example, playing 4k videos on YouTube is a struggle for the integrated graphics card, unable to play videos smoothly, but NVIDIA GPU will not kick in.  I have put the computer to a very limited number of tests, and I do not know if in fact hybrid graphics works at all. However, one thing that has been confirmed over and over is that the Intel GPU is just flat out incompetent at playing videos (streaming included), and I have no idea why it doesn't switch over to the discrete GPU.  If I leave the dedicated GPU running at all times in BIOS, all the problems associated with streaming high definition videos go away, but of course at a heightened cost of power, heat and noise (fan), which I had hoped to avoid with the hybrid option. I have two questions for those who have similar configurations as mine. 1) Is the integrated GPU that weak that just about everything doesn't work well with 4k screen? I did not expect to be needing a dedicated GPU just to play a 4k video on YouTube. I am wondering if my computer is at fault for this or if this is a generally observed phenomenon for all P70 models with 4k screen. 2) Is it normal that the discrete GPU does not operate when playing 4k videos online or streaming high definition videos through Netflix or Amazon ... I made a post on another part of the forum about my computer shutting down on its own. One thing lead to another and I eventually figured out that my power supply isn't failing and my Cores are not overheating. It appears to be my graphics card. The fan is not spinning nearly fast enough and very weakly. The fan cooling my processors would hurt my finger if I touched it but the graphics card fan just stops. The heat sink under the fan is really hot. I almost burned myself. Is there any way I could manually set the fan to go faster before the card overheats and turns my computer off?

I currently use an ATI Radeon HD 4800.

A:Graphics card fan not working properly

It seems that there is a mechanical problem with the fan. The video card needs to be pulled out, and the fan removed. This is something you can do yourself.

Usually, there is a plastic or rubber cap on the bottom of the fan, where you can find the impeller's axis. Sometimes it's just a hole and you can directly see the axis. There is a small safety washer, usually white and made of Teflon. You can use a lot of tools and stuff to release this washer. It is completely cut on one side and you can see this cut when you push on it with something. What I usually do is I grab a couple of sharp thin things (needles, toothpicks, cutter, knife, paper clips, anything thin and strong enough), and push it from one side. This is not enough to remove it, but it should either pop one end out and then you slowly work it's way out with the other tool towards the other end, or it will slide a bit away from the axis, and then you can stick the second tool between it and the axis and pop it out.

After this you should be able to remove the impeller, by slowly dragging it out by the central knob, where the blades attach. It could oppose a bit, as the magnet passes along the metal part of the coil. Watch out for the other 2 or 3 stuff that might be on the axis, one or two rubber washers, ball bearings, maybe a little spring, make sure you keep them all and prevent them from falling on the floor so you can find them later when you reassemble the thing. :haha:

I sometimes like to game on my laptop and i play games like Skyrim, COH, CSGO, Bioshock, Metro, etc. And they tend to run smoothly when I set them on medium to low quality. But recently, I think it is drivers or graphics card problem... My laptop keeps on getting warm when I am not even gaming and When I DO game I constantly get less than 10 fps. I have tried reinstalling drivers and deleting all nVidia drivers and install a new one but the problem is still here. I might have to take it to repair if nothing else works.

I have an issue with what seems like an graphics card problem. Every once in a while my graphics card stops working. So anything that needs any gpu power wont work. Browser videos and games. I have noticed couple of symptoms when my graphics card driver stops working properly. I can move my cursor slightly over the of the screen, windows 10 popup notifications wont close from "x" Sometimes the "x" doesnt even appear, task manager rows wont scale/are not "responsive" to the window. And some of the text is blurry, for example steam, task manager and File Explorer. But Chrome's text is not blurry.

Damn complex situation, but I have been messing with it for a week now. Only thing that seems to help is to reinstall display drivers everytime that happens. But its not a solution, its just an temporary fix.

I have done format C to the whole computer, checked for viruses and reinstalled drivers.

EDIT: Now even installing drivers did not help.

Windows 10

A:NVIDIA Graphics Driver has stopped working properly

Could be overheating. Use a tool like gpu-z to track your temperature while it happens. If it is over heating, then you should open the case and clean the dust off the card's fans and see if that helps. You can also try opening the case and seeing if the better ventilation helps.
Did you update your video card drivers recently? That could be causing it as well.

I have upgraded my X201 Tablet to Windows 10 32bit. As far as I can tell, everything is working, including the WACOM drivers and touchscreen.  Wireless has worked perfectly so far, not sure about Bluetooth as I don't use it. My only issue is that the buttons on the display do not work. The power button located on the display does work. I tried installing the Tablet Button Driver II and it will go through the install but the buttons do not work.  This is the download link:http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/downloads/ds027627 The document claims Windows 10 compatability and was Last Updated :08 Jun 2015. On inspection, all the files extracted are dated from 2012 and when trying to manually run the software Windows throws up an error that the software is not supported on this PC.   I removed and reinstalled and noted that the driver information page when running the installer does NOT have Windows 10 listed as a supported system. My assumption is that the driver that they have linked on the download page is NOT the most current driver and is infact the driver for Windows 7 from 2012. Does anyone know how to contact Lenovo to get the correct driver posted to the page, or know of an alternate source to try and find it?

2.You may not have the correct sound Drive (Or none at all). If so check your sound card and browse the web for installable driver (The acctual drivers don't cost anything)

I recently received this Monoprice Gaming Keyboard and am running into a serious issue. The keyboard itself works fine, very satisfying to use, but a few minutes after I plug it in (via USB) it simply "turns off." The NumLock light shuts off and the keyboard no longer functions with the computer, despite the fact that nothing has been unplugged. It won't reconnect unless I physically un-plug and re-plug in the USB cord. After that it takes a few moments (up to a couple minutes) to reconnect and become usable again, but only until it quits on me once more.

This keyboard is brand new, right out of the box, and the instructions given are as follows (and I quote):

1. Plug your keyboard into the USB ports of your computer.
2. Windows will automatically install all the necessary driver for the keyboard.

(And by the way, I made no mistakes in typing those instructions, it's written just like that.)

So clearly I'm frustrated that this doesn't work as intended, especially when its basically advertised as "plug-and-play" not to mention there is a large sticker on the box that states it's compatible with Windows 7.

I've tried a couple things here, including making sure the computer cannot shut off the USB device to conserve power, as well as updating Windows and all the drivers for both the keyboard and my motherboard. I basically did everything found in this thread but to no avail.

Any and all help is appreciated, thank you very much in advan... Read more

Alright I have graphics designing as a hobby
I purchased a cheap graphics tablet for Rs. 2,500 ( Approx USD 50 )
Its small and pretty local
Its sold by a company - Techcomindia.com
The model number of the tablet is SSD-PT-4030
Googling it up I didn't find anything
It comes with a try and buy version of Corel Painter 8 ( I am not interested in it though )
Its pressure sensitive ( 1024 levels of pressure ) and the tablet has hot cells to start different programs by touching them with the stylus
It also has support for handwriting recognition, pen scrolling and comes with a PenSuite
OK enough of the description of the tablet
Now for the problem

When I brought it, I used it for quite some time.
Then slowly I started getting less interested to graphics designing and started other stuff. But it stayed connected to my PC, the stylus in the holder that came with it.
Then I thought I should pack it up and take it out when I need it.
Packed it up and kept it in the box it came in.
Now after some time I tried it again but this time the moment i connected the tablet, the tablet seemed to have developed a brain of its own
The cursor ( mouse pointer), moved around like anything vibrating to the left and right, left clicking, right clicking and doing all that a mouse can do.
Jumping around and stuff, getting worried, I disconnected the tablet
After some time again I tried again, and after some messing around I have found when this problem is popping up.
The moment the stylus goes out ... Read more

It sound like the pen/tablet communications is either wireless or LF inductive in nature.

Is it possible that something else is now "in range" that is giving false signals when the stylus is out of range (the tablet will be "searching" for it at this stage and if anything else is detectable in the frequency range used it could give your problem)?

Going to buy my first tablet, just wondering if anyone can offer any advice. Read a few articles, some say a beginner should get a small tablet, others say get the biggest you can with your budget?

I'm only going to be using it in photo shop and some basic graphic programmes, i'm not looking for anything top of the range, probably with a budget of say 50. I've been looking at a Wacom A6 tablet thats around 30, probably drawn to it by the name more than anything else!

It worked fine until this weekend.
Now, when I plug it in,I get an error message that reads :" USB Device not recognized. One of the usb devices connected to this computer has malfunctioned and Windows does not recognize it. Click here to solve this problem."

I click and it just shows the usb hub things.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the software multiple times and contacted tech support(the driver they gave me was no help).
I purchased the tablet from Amazon and the seller's warranty went out a month back.
I hope I haven't wasted seventy dollars.

Ive read good reports on this one: http://www.datavis.com/product.jsp?prid=452 They also make a 12 model.

I have a Wacom Intuos 12 tablet and like it. I think the resolution and accuracy is more important than the number of pressure levels.

$260 seems a little high for a 6 X 8 Graphire. http://shopping.com/xPC-Wacom_GRAPHIRE3_BLUE_6X8USB_TABLET_W_PEN_MOUSE_INCLUDE_POWERSUITE~S-P~OR-0

I've been thinking of getting a tablet for photo retouching and other graphic manipulations. Now this is strictly a 'toy' at this time and I'm trying to save for a better camera, so I can't justify a huge expense. It would probably have to be a used unit or one of the lower end ones. The other problem is that I'm not really familiar enough with the features of tablets to be able to differentiate between them.

I did have the opportunity recently to play a bit with an older Acecat serial tablet. It had some problems - cursor jumping around unexpectedly - so I couldn't really give it a workout. One impression I had, though, was that although the working surface was fairly small - 5x5 - I didn't feel particularly restricted. In fact, after the relatively limited movement required with a mouse, I had difficulty using the full working area of the tablet. With that in mind, would I be all right with one of the smaller Wacom Graphire tablets or are there other advantages to the larger ones that would reveal themselves with use?

Can anyone suggest what features I should be looking for or recommend specific makes/models to consider. Links to reviews or articles on tablet selection would also be appreciated.

Thanks in advance for any input.

Hi all,

I've just bought my first graphics tablet, it's a Wacom Bamboo A6 pad. I've never used one before and it's taking a bit of time to get used to but I'm having a couple of problems. It's great where it was intended to be used, in Photoshop, but anywhere outside of the canvas is a bit tricky. The main problem is I can't single-click anything. I touch the pen against the surface once but it registers it as 2 taps and it's making everything very difficult. I have adjusted the double-click speed in the control panel to both extremes but it doesn't seem to make a difference. This means I cant select a file without it opening, move a window (because it maximises when i double-click on the title bar) amongst other things.

The other problem seems to be because I have a dual monitor set-up. When I try and write on the screen, my handwriting appears really stretched length-wize.

Any help please??

Thanks in advance.

BTW, I'm running Vista Ultimate (hella-buggy) with two 19'' widescreen monitors, if that helps.

Hi all

6x9 graphics tablet at avery keen price, however it doesn't have
anything other than the pen and cd with it, the mouse and other devices are missing.
Will it still function ok, it's really the drawing side i'm interested in.

Hello all! I'm sorry if this question was asked before, but I can't find it in the search function.  I recently purchased this computer and dongle, but the dongle is not recognized by either port on the computer.  One port says the dongle is 2.0 and outdated, and the other says there's a problem with DisplayPort.  Any advice on next steps?  This is the cheapest of the few video outs which, from my limited research, were tested not to fry something.  I don't want to subject my new computer to a whole bunch of other dongles if I can help it!

For Christmas I got this Graphics Tablet, because I love to draw and I was wanting to get into Photoshop. For about a month, it worked fine... now it doesn't for some odd reason. To activate its wireless pen, you are suppose to just tap it onto the surface of the tablet... now whenever I do that, it doesn't work at all.

I tried replacing the battery, and nothing. I tried taking it apart to see if anything was wrong with it, but the bottom half is glued together so I don't want to risk taking it apart, only to have it be broken permanently. I used a bobby pen and pushed it inside where the tip usually goes (the tip is removable), and it worked about a week ago. I was drawing just fine. Now, for some reason, it stopped working again, and doing this same thing that worked last time does nothing for me now. I think that the pen just isn't registering with the tablet, or the tablet is somehow damaged (I take it with me and put it in my laptop bag... it might get squished in there or something, I can't say but I wouldn't think so..).

I tried looking for driver updates, but I can't find any on Google and I have no idea where it would be in the Device Manager. It does come with a disc, but I dual-boot both Vista and XP, and it won't work on either one (and I have t... Read more

Hey I was wondering if anyone would be able to help me with this:

I was using my graphic tablet yesterday (A Trust TB-3100, if that helps) and it was working fine. Then all of a sudden something happened that made it go funny. Basically, it was like it was working in mouse mode - rather than using the full length of the board, it was just using a small area. The pen wasn't clicking either. Pressure sensitivity wasn't working aswell.

At first I thought this may just be the pen battery, so I replaced that but it didn't help. Next I tried restarting my computer, but the same crap was happening.

Next I thought, maybe it was the tablet (I have two you see). So I tried plugging in the other one, (which is a HyperPen 12000U) and strangely enough, the same problem was happening with the other tablet. So it obviously wasn't a defect with the actual hardware itself.

So I figured it must be the actual drivers that are the problem. So I removed them and reinstalled them. I tried about 3 or 4 different downloads (for both tablets) but the same crap was happening.

I noticed that it works fine as the computer is starting up - while it's loading all the different things on startup, it works the way it should be working. But as soon as the driver itself loads and the icon comes up on the bottom right hand corner of the screen, that's when it starts behaving the way I described earlier.

I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions as to what this is and how... Read more

Trying to get my wacom tablet, (model PTZ-431W) to work in Windows 7 has been confusing. While the tablet works with out installing a driver, there is no pen sensitivity. So, I tried to install the disk that came with the tablet. It worked, pen sensitivity had returned, just with one problem.
Upon occasion, seemingly at random the pen will go into lag and after a second or two, will jerk over to another spot and make a long straight line. Not the best thing. How fast I use the tablet, which direction, none seem to stop this random lag that occurs.
So, I uninstalled the program, and tried to install the latest driver on wacom's website.
Same problem. The tablet is fully working, as on my desktop computer it works fine. Both Photoshop CS on my desktop and on my tablet are fine. I don't know what could be causing this problem and I am aware that I'm not the brightest.

Can anyone help?

Do you have the 11.0.1 update for Photoshop CS4?

Apparently Photoshop specifically is having issues with the tablet and 11.0.1 fixes that problem along with many others.

My hb bought me a graphics tablet which came bundled with a basic version of Corel Draw (or maybe it is corel draw...but it is basic!)

Does anyone else know of a better software I could use it with?
I hoped it would be compatible with PSP, but it isn't!

Ideally, I want to be able to insert a digital image and add to it freehand.

I preferrably would like something freeware, as I am very poor and even more fussy!

I have a compact area to work on. At the moment my keyboard is sitting on top of my Huion h610 pro graphics tablet . Ideally it would be great to attached it to the underside of the desk using neodymium magnets. The tablet is quite light so I don't need to use strong magnets. However I am concerned that they would interfere with the electronics inside the tablet. Should I worry ? Thanks

Hey again,

My grandad has given me a keybaord to try to test,
It has a PS/2 and a serial connection.

They keyboard works without problems

The serial connection controls the tablet, but it moves the curosr all over the screen totally randomly, and only one big jump at a time, and only one time after youve pressed about 100 different things

Should it be used instead of the normal mouse, or with it? (I have no experience with these things at all)

Does it only work properly in certain software like Paint Shop Pro?

Thanks again,
