I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Hi, my name is ashton roesbery and i am currently on a windows xp home edition, version 2002, and a service pack 1. it's manufactured and supported by compaq and presario. it has 2.8 GHz and 504 mb of ram. just recently i downloaded spybot search and destroy. i thought it would get rid of the"send error report thing but it didn't. when i clicked "send error report," it brought me to a screen with a message about downloading windows version service pack 2. i tried downloading it but it said, your system doesn't support it". when i click "don't send," it logs me off any internet activity im doing. for some reason it doesn't let me get onto my email. what should i do?

A:"send Error Report Or Dont Send", Thing Keeps Popping Up.

Hi ashton_r,You actually have a couple of things going on here. Let start with the message "send Error Report Or Dont Send". That message is from XP's error handling services. When XP has a problem, you can choose to send a report to Microsoft that helps them debug XP. One of the nice things about this feature is if there is a fix, you can usuall click a link on the acknoledgement window that will take you to Microsoft to download a patch or fix. It is possible that is when you are getting the option to download SP2. SpyBot is a tool to remove adware/spyware/malware. It doeas clean up a lot of "junk" on your computer. It may or may not help with your problem. If you suspect you have the bad stuff on your system, I would recommend using this post Start HereIMHO, I would make sure all viruses, malware, adware, was off of my computer before applying SP2. Good luck... hope this helps.Rigel

So this is the story guys.3 or 4 months ago i build a desktop system and one month ago my motherboard broke down.I bought another one that is compatible with my cpu but as i see i cant install some games, because i get data1.cab/media1.cab is corrupt/ some files from installation are corrupt.
Got these errors trying to install NFS The Run,Dirt 3 by now, but World Of Tanks and Hearthsone successfully installed.
Also sometimes i get blue screens with erros: PFN_LIST_CORRUPT or MEMORY_MANAGEMENT.I had Windows 8.1 and i thought if i reinstall the windows the problem may disappear but no...Now i have Windows 7 x64 and still cant install games.
I thought my hdd is faulty so i ran a chkdsk and i got no errors. No errors detected with hd tune pro either.
Last night i ran memtest and after some time i got pass complete no errors detected so i shut it down.
Now if you could help me that would be great because i dont know what is wrong. With old motherboard i never got a blue screen though.

A:Can't install some games,Sometimes BSOD occurs

Hello Poli sorry you have had to wait so long now when you say you ran memtest how many "passes" did you let it run for because you have to run at least 8 passes to get any confirmation of errors or not .

The memtest you will need to make a bootable disk / stick andset the BIOS to boot from the optical (disk) or USB and it will take a fairtime to run- some leave it overnight..
Memtest86+ - Advanced Memory Diagnostic Tool
But one thing is very important you must let the test run for at least 8 passes anyless and the findings are no good. Now if errors come up straight away then youcan stop it - see my pics (Keep in mind these are example only as they are shots of older versions but you will get my drift). Now if there are errors and you have more than onestick of RAM in then you will need to test each stick ie remove the sticks andreplace stick 1 in slot 1 and test no errors do the same in slot 2 withstick 1 no errors then repeat the process with stick 2 - that will show up thefaulty stick - the other thing is it could be a faulty slot but most unusual.

It is a very lengthy and tedious process but worth it if youhave errors.

Ever since I installed new RAM, which was 2 sticks of Silicon Power 8x2 RAM, my games have been crashing, and occasionally, I will get a blue screen of death. I tried using my original RAM, but it only uses 4gb out of 8gb, and some of my games won't launch. I tried ordering 2 sticks of 4gb RAM, but the problem keeps occurring. I have also tried to switch around my RAM in every combination, to no avail. I'm out of ideas, and I need some help.

I have attached the Perfmon and Sysnative reports. I just got this computer as a hand-me-down so I'm not very familiar with update status and overall computer health.

Hey guys,

So i've had this build for a few months now. It is my first build. Here are the specs:
Intel Core i5-4690K
Zotac GTX 970
8GB Ram
Asus Z-97-A mobo
Windows 8.1

When i'm playing big games such as BF4 or GTA V, it likes to crash midway through the game constantly. I can play BF4 for a while before it crashes back to the desktop and i cannot play GTA for more than 10 minutes before it does the same. Sometimes these games even causes a BSODr. As well as, Crysis 3 just completely crashes and freezes my computer after a very short time of playing,

Also sometimes when i'm rendering a video in Sony Vegas Pro 13, i get a BSOD too.

I think it may be to do with my graphics card but i just can't quite put my finger on it. My GPU drivers are all updated.

Any ideas?

Edit, here is the DM file thing. ATIF-21_12_2015_160428_80.zip

I got a 2600, 2gb of ram, Gigabyte GA-7n400-L mobo, 9800 Pro, and a few HDD's, and this has been annoying me lately, mainly because I've been using a few games in window mode, including Battlefield 2 (not often, usually only to test something), it's map editor, and the games Football Manager 2006 and Galactic Civilisations 2 (both of which have options to use window mode).

I had previously belive it was caused after playing battlefield 2, but the last one (tonight, and the final straw to get help) I had'nt played BF2 at all. It happens after hours of playing (I'd say tonights after the memtest was about 4 hours after startup), and I can't "replicate it" beyond playing and eventually it happens. I always have Firefox, Windows Media Player, MSN, Xfire on, and sometimes Azereus as well as playing.

I did'nt have memory dumps on the right way until I saw the site, so I only have the 4 most recent.

I get a variety of stop messages (the line that tells you what type of error it was), including:
7F - UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP_M (1000007f) - Latest

I did a 5 hour memtest and got no errors (5 "passes"). Was this long enough to test the memory? I don't think I've ever gotten this without actually being playing a game in window mode (although a few times the BF2 editor crashed, but I thi... Read more

EDIT: I had a fresh BSOD while trying to upload the perfmon log. I have included the dump for that separately. The reason was something along the lines of 'attempt to write over non writable portion'

Hello all,

I have been experiencing a variety of issues with my computer ever since re-installing Windows 7 Professional as a student upgrade edition (no pre-installed sp1 - had to install a ton of updates).

I have had various issues occur, many of which have been fixed only to lead to new problems arising.

I have various suspicions about the sauces but I would like you guys to take a moment to look over the problem and suggest any solutions.

Attached is the mini-dump from the last day or two, which contains several BSOD logs.

The computer also has problems booting, which often means that the computer needs to be repaired using the System Repair or Restore tool.

I have been having problems for almost 6 months now.

Thanks in advance,

Edit: Added the perfmon report

I am troubleshooting a computer error for a fellow family member and I have a question.

We are dealing with a program that spontaneously crashes without notice. We get the little popup screen about an error report and we've sent in the report several times. I now want to see if we can solve this problem through the help of web support sites, but to do that I need the error info that was sent in the error report. The program has not crashed for a couple of days now so I can't get a new report to work with. Is there a log in the system that lists errors, the reports and when they were sent? I am using Windows XP Service Pack 2.

I am recieving this error on most of my applications and softwares. Usually on yahoo, and ICQ, and other softwares.

The last thing i did was the disc cleanup of my D: Drive, my windows in installed in D Drive. In that disc clean up, i also cleaned up temp forlders and all that, to free some space. Take a look at this screenshot of the error http://img455.imageshack.us/img455/7430/untitled7cn.jpg

It is saying something about a file in my TEMP folder.. i think some **** happened with the temp directory.. but i dont get 1 thing, temp folder has nothing to do with this stuff...

And since then these "SEND ERROR REPORT TO MISCROSOFT" started comming. Dont know why?

What should i do? I tried reinstalling the softwares and they work fine after reinstalling, but every time i restart my pc, the error comes again and i have to reinstall again.

I have had problems with adware generic 5 coming up in AVG 2013 program, but not being able to fix.  I used search engine to find others who had same problem with a way to fix it.  I found a post with bleeping computer combofix and followed what they did.  I didn't read all the way through first and am now in trouble.
Not very computer smart, I did temperarily shut down the AVG until I restarted computer.  When I was to the point of the combofix report where the directions were to send said report to tech specialist, I saved report and restarted computer.  At that point, the computer clicks and tries to run with no success.  I shut computer off completely for 30 minutes or so and now it does come on.  I am able therefore to get the report I saved.  I am going to try to send as an attachment.  I have seen others send them right on the e-mail itself.  If I cannot find attachment I can do that as well I guess.
I really hope I have not hurt the laptop anymore especially since it is my homeschooling sons.  I don't want to be in trouble.  I was only trying to help.
This is my dilema.  I am kind of afraid to do anything a this point.  I also have never written a post on anything before.  But I know you have my e-mail.  So, if I get lost, I will check there.  Thank you for any assistance you are willing and able to give.

Hello to all, I am new to this forum. I have a problem that I was wondering if somebody could help me. Yesterday I had a piece of spy ware on my computer. It was a black screen that said "Warning your computer is in danger". So I was reading from this forum and it said to us a program called Freeclean. I used freeclean and it got rid of the black screen. I will also mention that I installed Norton Internet Security before to try to get rid of the black screen. Now when I try to launch IE, it will not open and wants to send an error report to Microsoft. If anybody has the solution to this problem that would be a great help.

We really don't like Norton Internet Security because of stability problems. Try removing that program first. Restart and see if Internet Explorer will work. If not, we will look into other methods.

There?s this one problem in Windows 8 that I cannot get hold of, nor can I find a registry hack that can fix the same. When you launch a game or an application from the Start Screen, it opens up just fine and full screen to the edges, like I've shown below:

Once I got tired of playing the game and thought of switching to check my mail just for a second, I pressed Alt + Tab and got out of there. When I come back into the game, it is forever windowed and cannot be turned full screen unless the game is restarted, like shown below:

And this doesn't happen just for games like Need For Speed, but it also happened to me for Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 4.2:

See the title bar and the menu bar in the above image, that never came up for me when I was running Windows 7 Ultimate, it really sets the mood off when you?re editing photographs. The old clean, black-only and classic look has been diminished by Windows 8′s compulsory windowed mode rule.

Hello Amruth,

You might see if you may be able to press F11 while in the window to see if you will be able to toggle full screen mode to help.

Hope this helps,

It seems like most games namely Battlefield are forced to run at 59.94Hz despite the video driver being set to 60Hz. This issue wasn't present with the same hardware except motherboard & CPU, software I also updated from 7 to 8. Should I be worried? This wasn't an issue with previous AMD hardware, which doesn't make sense considering the GPU is the same.

A:Games report 59.94Hz frequency response

60 HZ is only the nominal, not the exact refresh rate. What is being reported is closer to reality than 60 HZ. Nothing to be concerned about.

The difference is only about .1%.

Hello again

I formatted my drive and reinstalled Vista last night and updated all device drivers before installing games, utilities, etc. After installing Guild Wars however, I crashed at the log in screen.

Windows does not always provide an error report but after my fourth attempt at logging in, I received this message:

I posted earlier on Googler's thread (Crash on almoust every game) but decided to start a new one just in case the problem was related to a hardware or device driver.

Any assistance will be much appreciated. Thank you

I've had you disinfect me before--been using ccleaner and spyware blaster, keeping windows xp updated with auto updates. Now hijacked with shopper report, boonty games, weatherbug, who knows what else, etc. Returns after using "fix" option after running Hijack This.

Did 5 steps, removed a couple things. The shopper crud and boonty thing won't leave.

I still have some tools recommended here last time I needed help: dss. ie-spyad, SDfix, Zoned out.

attached activescan, included dss main.txt log below. dss didn't give me extra.txt that I can find.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Can someone help me? Some of my games when I'm going to a new area, while it's loading, it sends me back to the desktop with no error message. Get back to me. Thanks.

A:Some of my games send me back to desktop.

For troubleshooting purposes I would end all unnecessary processes in the background.

I don't know much about this so am asking for your help.

I oversee a youth / high school basketball program. We tape our games and make dvd copies for the players to view (as a training tool). This costs a lot in discs and time to make the additional copies. Is there a way to take our original recording, and send it to the players via email or a web site ?

Each game is approx 1 hour long

We own the rights to the recording so there are no copywrite issues

If there is an answer please send instructions that a "dummy" like myself can understand.

Thank you so much

A:Want to send basketball games to players

You are going to run into a HUGE problem with the size of the files. Even if you were to set up your own website, you'd have to pay extra to put that amount of media up on the site, and most likely some more to allow that amount of bandwidth to d/l files of that size. You may be best in sticking to your current routine, or looking into purchasing USB sticks in volume and mailing those instead.

But yes, it is possible. Some of the things you will need to keep in mind when looking for an ISP to host this are the size of the files (if each are an hour long, and they are video, I'm going to assume multiple gig sizes here), what your monthly data file transfer size will be limited to, whether or not the kids on the other end will also be able to d/l those files (how many a month are we talking about? Most ISP's limit their bandwidth to something like 20 gigs/month to avoid people torrenting movies these days), to name a few.

I know it's not much help, but it's a start. So how big is the average file?

A:Disabling "Send Error Report" message in XP when applicatons crash

By default, WindowsXP will request to report application errors to Microsoft.
To turn this off:

Right click on the My Computer icon on the desktop
Select Properties / Advanced
Click on the Error Reporting tab
Check Disable error reporting

Does the PC still have the factory install? If so that is the worst possible install of Win7 one can have, larded with bloatware and duplicate utilities which interfere with better versions built into Win7. That's why most tech enthusiasts won't even run such an install but instead Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7.

Everything needed is in the blue link to get and keep a perfect install just like a million others have done without a single complaint.

I would like to install Internet Explorer 7 beta 2, and it does not work. So I did what they said in troubleshooting (use regmon to find a key that says "access denied" So I did that and found that HKCR/mailto is the problem. So I go into the registry and when I click on it I get an a message saying there was an error opening the key. I try change the permissions, and again I get an error message. Then I even try to delete it (I have a copy from another system to install) and again I get an error message. What can I do to fix this problem?
