Is a DVD Recorder an electrical device or electronic device?

Q: Is a DVD Recorder an electrical device or electronic device?

Is a DVD Recorder/DVD Burner (physical device used for burning CD, DVD-R, DVD-RW, etc NOT a CD/DVD burning software) an electrical device or electronic device?

Preferred Solution: Is a DVD Recorder an electrical device or electronic device?

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

A: Is a DVD Recorder an electrical device or electronic device?

This is only my guess, but I am willing to bet it's an electronic device.

I upgraded to Windows 10 a while back. Every time I open the computer I get a pop-up notification telling me the USB device is unrecognized. I have no USB devices in any of my 3 USB ports.
I sent my computer in twice. No help. They just uninstalled everything and reinstalled everything and told me it should be fixed. It is not. I then went about updating every driver in my Device Manager. I uninstalled the Unknown USB Device and then updated
other drivers. Certain drivers (such as PCI Express Root Port #3 - 9C14) when updating would also reinstall the Unknown USB Device, which I would then uninstall and keep working down the list. At the end of updating EVERYTHING I scanned for hardware changes
and "found" the Unknown USB Device.
From what I can tell, and I know very little about this stuff, my computer can't name one of my USB ports. Since it can't figure out what it's called it can't download the proper driver for it. Since it can't download the proper driver it can't work properly.
The practical result from this is that one of my three USB ports does nothing when I put in any USB item (connect my android phone, thumb drive, presentation clicker, etc).
I've looked on tons of forums. My current thought is that if I can tell my computer what the deice is or download the right driver and tell my computer to use that driver for this device it should solve my issue. But I don't know how to know what the name
of the USB port should be (I imagine it woul... Read more

Hi everyone, been a while.

Next year starts the new 250 Motorcycle Road-Racing season, and I'll be attending the full Swedish and European Championship...

I'm working as a mechanic for a friend... Now just today he came asking me if it would be difficult to have a few "onboard" cameras that record his driving...

Umm, yes, it probably will be was my answer ;-)

After a while of looking on google for "mini cams" and instead ending up at very different sites I got a really crazy idea:

Build a mini computer instead...

The mainboard of choice would of course be one of VIA's ITX mainboards

And since he can't have a 220v power chord around the track it felt reasonable to find a good DC-DC powersupply, and I found one that would be marvelous for this project right here.

Next I'll need cameras, and on this German site I found some real small ones...

They are connected via USB to the computer and need no extra power, thus they are ideal....

I'll need 12v batteries also, and while I do have a 12v 7ah Sealed Lead Acid Battery here at home doing nothing it weights 2,6kg... Simply too much, so what I want is a 12v battery which would be able to drive that computer for around 30minutes during recording (I'm assuming around 15w power consumption)

Ideally it would be a battery which is flat, and not extends more than 17cm, i.e. the same shape as the mainboard... Most important is that it is light though... ... Read more

A:Small Video Recorder device for motorcycle use?

For power-supply, you could use the motorbike's onboard electricity (either 6V or 12V)
For storage, an MP3-player/recorder comes to mind (Creative, with 20GB HD, or similar). Check websites where bungie-jumpers record their drops. Also you could try and contact formula One people, they have solid cameras on their racecars (but they will surely cost more than an arm and a leg).
Sound like a nice project, best of luck.

Dell Vostro 1400, Core2Duo. Installed Windows 7 64 bit a year and a half ago. For those not familiar, the Vostro is not entirely compatible with 64 bit, so the drivers are a little hit and miss.

Computer runs slow sometimes, has since the install. I don't think I've ever seen the yellow triangles before, but I may have never looked at the device manager ... the computer is a secondary machine in the house.

My question is, do these indicate a performance problem or can I ignore them and assume the computer is working as best it can?

The yellow icons showing an exclamation point can indicate missing or improper drivers. The system does not seem to recognizing your hardware. Hope this gets you started.

For six months or so, I've had a problem where my laptop's audio will stop working. The red "X" appears over the volume icon in the system tray and audio will not function whatsoever. Until now, rebooting has been 99% successful at restoring the audio until it eventually fails again. But in the last three days, my normal quick fix no longer does the trick. Apparently my laptop can no longer find the actual Conexant 20672 SmartAudio HD hardware on the motherboard. This is a T520 laptop running Win 7 with SP1. The T520 is roughly six years old, so I realize the hardware's age might be a factor. There are definitely other issues related to its age (general performance sluggishness, inability to wake up from sleep mode, backup no longer works correctly) and I will eventually have to replace the laptop. But in the meantime, solving this persistent audio issue will buy me at least a few more months, so it's worth fixing to me. I've found dozens of threads that suggest reinstalling the device drivers, which of course I have tried several times using the drivers here. The problem: After rebooting, the device manager still doesn't list any playback device ("No audio devices are installed") even with both "Show Disabled Devices" and "Show Disconnected Devices" checked. Similarly, when I run the 8aad14ww.exe device installer, it terminates with an error message ("Driver Installation Failed: Could not find the device for this driver").  Has the hardware itself ac... The AUDIO FADE PROBLEM is an issue with this laptop and I am wondering if it is related to the above.
I have upgraded to the latest BIOS and drivers using the Dell Product Support pages.
Every other day I have to reinstall the Realtek Audio Device to get audio from streaming media.
The current Driver Version is 6.0.1.7908 from Realtek Semiconductor Corp. Date 12/08/2016 which is what it defaults to upon reinstall.
I suspect that for whatever reason Dell has not yet come up with a fix. Has it something to do with the fact that although I bought the laptop new, it had been upgraded from Windows 8 to 10? (A fact that I only discovered later)

Hi,
We are using the Microsoft "Windows Device Portal" REST API to do mobile app side-loading.
Everything in the REST API is working for us except for the "uninstall app" which is a "http rest delete" call.
So, to troubleshoot, I thought I would use Microsoft "Message Analyzer" to see if we could see the http traffic coming to and from the workstation to the mobile device over the USB.
I didn't want to install the Fiddler .net library and it looks like if you are on W10, then you can use the Microsoft-Windows-WinINet-Capture provider.
My steps:
0. Start "Microsoft Message Analyzer" in admin mode
1. click "New Session"
2. click "LiveTrace" button
3. Add providers:
    a. Microsoft-Windows-WinINet
    b. Microsoft-Windows-WinINet-Capture
4. put *IPAddr == 127.0.0.1 as a filter
5. click Start button
At the top, I get an error icon saying "Modules Loaded  Errors or warnings were found when loading modules."

The owner said it has been there for some months. I have tried downloading the current audio drivers for the computer but every time I try to install the driver, I get an error that says the device couldn't be found.

The first time i restarted the computer, after the driver installation failed, the audio came back and worked fine, until I had to restart the computer. Now I keep getting the same error and nothing i have found so far online has helped.

There are no yellow triangles in the device manager and the device list isn't showing the category for "sound, video and gaming etc." at all.

Please help. I did a search but the other threads didn't solve this problem for me.

I see three different audio driver packages at http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwar...ct=3646926#N661.You need to find the right one to install. If you install one and the system doesn't work properly...please uninstall it before trying the next one.Installing the wrong one won't do anything harmful to your system...it just won't do any good to leave it installed.Louis

I have a 5-year-old Asus z70Va laptop. The hard drive is a PATA, and the system is running XP Home SP3. The problem I am about to describe started roughly a year ago, and has re-occurred at least 5-6 times.

I will be listening to audio (off the main hdd, not the DVD drive) when the problem starts -- usually streaming audio, though it has also happened twice when Outlook was playing a wav file as part of an Outlook rule I set up to flag emails from a particular sender. Interestingly, the error has *never* occurred when I have been playing a video file with audio.

What happens is that the music will sound as if it is getting "stuck" on one note or passage. It sounds distorted. It may pass quickly, but then will happen again ten-thirty minutes later, even if I stop and later restart the audio file (or stream). Once it recurs, I end up with this message in Event Viewer (System):

Event 9: The device, \Device\Ide\IdePort0, did not respond within the timeout period.

If I don't stop the audio immediately, the distorted and very discordant "stuck" audio continues, leading to a series of Event 9's before I can stop the player. But about every other time that happens, I *can't* stop the player; instead the computer freezes up (sometimes going to a BSOD), and when I restart I find that I now also have a series of bad block errors on a previously clean drive (usually 2 bad clusters).

So I end up replacing the drive, but then a month or two later the... Read more

A:Strictly Audio-Related Serious Event 9 Errors (The device, \Device\Ide\IdePort0...)

The audio is just a coincidence, not a symptom.

Bad sectors are a sign of a hardware issue with the HDD. Software won't cause bad sectors on a HDD. I'd suspect a bad HDD. If you have replaced the HDD multiple times, then there is an underlying hardware issue (ie: motherboard/controller issue or power).

Also, if you have to "whack" anything, there is a hardware issue. It's typically a sign of a loose of faulty connection. Otherwise "whacking" it wouldn't do anything.

I don’t know what to do next with creeping Event ID 129, iaStorA “Reset to device, \Device\RaidPort0, was issued.” on my Precision M4700 running Win7/64 SP1.
I don’t know exactly when it started (but at least 2 months ago, the approx. size of my Windows System log), but lately I noticed unexpected system freezes; since they mostly (if not always) happen when I launch or use a particular, demanding application, I first thought it was a software problem.
But eventually I had the idea to look at the Windows logs, and noticed a relatively large number of Event ID 129, iaStorA “Reset to device, \Device\RaidPort0, was issued.” which, as I understand it, is a symptom of a low-level hardware issue with the (system) disk or controller. And I then noticed that these Events appeared right after the system “freezes”, which can be as soft as that app freezing (and then, one of the CPU cores is maxed out for process “System Interrupts – Deferred Procedure Calls and Interrupt Service Routines”: as soon as this process drops its CPU usage back to normal, the app “unfreezes” and finishes to load/work) or as hard as the system becoming severely unresponsive, with mouse and cursor locked etc.
I ran the Dell diagnostics on this system, and neither the disk nor the other hardware components reported issues there. Digging deeper, I eventually noticed an “abnormal” number of ECC errors for the offending disk S... Read more

Note: Device manager lists appropriate bluetooth antennae.  Some items are still showing up ok, but many (some new, some previously paired) are listed as unknown now, so they are useless to me until this is resolved.  This is a fairly new Flex5 (bought at Microcenter about a month ago).I ran the Lenovo "Vantage" program to get the latest bluetooth drivers on board.Tried uninstalling BT driver and running manual install of intel and Qualcomm drivers.  Windows10 is not seeing the Intel ones, I think as when I try to change the driver to the intel ones I only see the the QualcommAtheros and the generic bluetooth drivers available.  I ran that installation a number of times, but havn't been able to try the Intel drivers yet.  I'm not sure if they will fix the problem, but would like to try them, unless someone here can point me at something else that may be the cause.  Thanks for any info!

On my X1 Extreme (20MF000CUS) I recently noticed that when I open the Windows 10 Device Manager the list of devices keeps refreshing, like a new hardware scan is being forced every 2-3 seconds. I started disabling all the devices one by one and I finally narrowed down the culprit: USB Connect Managers -> UCM-UCSI ACPI Device  (Hardware Id: ACPI\VEN_USB&DEV_C000) This device, when active, keeps appearing and disappearing from the device manager tree forcing a refresh every few seconds. And it only happens when my Lenovo Thunderbolt Dock (40AN0230US) is connected. When I disconnect the dock the driver stops disappearing and becomes stable. Opening the driver Properties -> Details I get: Status: 01802400 (DN_HAS_PROBLEM)Problem code: 00000016 Any idea what is going on?

I paired Microsoft Designer Bluetooth Keyboard and Mouse to my Windows 7 Professional x64 HP ZBook 14 which is connected to my company's corporate domain. Everything worked beautifully until they had to re-image my PC to resolve a disk encryption issue. That issue is resolved, but I have had bad luck getting my keyboard and mouse to pair and remain connected ever since. However, that's not even the problem now. After troubleshooting my Bluetooth issues by installing different driver versions, pairing and un-pairing my keyboard and mouse, changing settings in Bluetooth Support Service and more, I now have two Bluetooth Peripheral devices that always appear in Device Manager. I believe these are remnants of previously paired devices, but I can not get rid of them no matter what I try. These devices do not show up in Devices and Printers, they become Bluetooth Low Energy HID Devices when I install the computer manufacturer's drivers... As I typed this I thought of installing the Intel Bluetooth drivers I had previously installed to see what would happen... Ok that made things worse. Now there are three random Bluetooth Low Energy HID Devices and none of them are actual devices that are paired to the PC. And pairing the devices does not help. If I could, I would just delete the registry keys but I can't (remember, corporate domain PC). Any help from you brilliant people would be great. Thank you!

Go to Start/Search and type devmgmt.msc Right click the devmgmt results and Run As Administrator. In the Elevated Device Manager are there any yellow flags? If so, these devices need drivers installed.
What is the make and model# of your laptop? Go to the manufacturers support/download drivers and type in your make and model# or service tag # and download the Chipset and Audio driver for your computer.

At the end of the driveimage session, it frozen and there was "Globalroot\device" followed by various endings. Then it completed and said finished. Also it went to blue screen the firsttime I tried to run GMER and rebooted.

The main problems of slow programs from startup, no devices in device manager, no audio device and no printing capability began after I ran some kids software games that kinda of frozen the computer, although I believe whatever is making my computer upset has been there for awhile and may have something to do with remnants of roxio 2009 and other shared folders. A:USB Imaging Device, windows was unable to locate driver for this device..whats this m

At some stage recently you have placed a new scanner/digital camera, or the likes of, in your computer. Windows hasn't been able to apply a driver to that device and so it asks you if you want to connect to the internet to try and find a matching driver on the microsoft web site. The problem is easily solved. If you still have the device connected and plan on using it, then grab the CD that came with it and follow the installation instructions on it. If you don't have it connected then go back to the 'my computer' 'properties' into 'device manager'. In there disable the imaging device that has the yellow ! next to it. And hopefully next time you restart, no more problem.

A:Solved: An error was detected on device \Device\Harddisk1\DR1 during a paging operati

The indicated solution of creating a virtual paging file for the WD MyBook drive did not correct the problem. The problem resides in the IEEE 1394 (firewire) driver. Do the following (quoted from http://social.answers.microsoft.com...e/thread/42085c5a-4f15-4dcd-8a76-9a7860b526c2) to correct the problem stated above:

"Update to my previous post. I updated my IEEE 1394 (Firewire) controller driver from "LSI 1394 OHCI Compliant Host Controller" (1934ohci.sys ver 6.1.7600.16385 stock driver from Windows 7 64-bit) to "1394 OHCI Compliant Host Controller (Legacy)" (ochi1394.sys and 1394 bus.sys ver 6.1.7600.16385 also stock from Windows 7 64-bit).
This change seems to have resolved this issues described in my previous post in this thread. My external Firewire disk works normally now (no longer slow during large transfers) and the Warning ID=51 has not recurred (after two days).

To accomplish this driver change, here are instructions:

Other devices all seem to be working fine - USB devices plugged in are being recognized and work properly. Only BT seems to be broken.
I've tried:
uninstalling the device and rebooting
installing the latest updated chipset drivers from the dell website
windows updates
pretty much all of the advice here: http ://troubleshooter.xyz/wiki/fix-usb-device-not-recognized-device-descriptor-request-failed

Any other ideas?
Thanks

A:XPS 15 9550 Bluetooth stopped working (Unknown USB device - device descriptor request failed)

So in desperation I just went into BIOS settings to see if there are any BT settings that may have become disabled. I didn't see any, and I didn't change any other settings.
After rebooting, BT and my mouse is now working again.
Something seems to be really flaky here, but hopefully this will help others with the same issue.

A:Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43) A request for the USB device descriptor failed.

Hi onyx,
This error means a device driver notified the operating system that the device failed. This circumstance can occur if the device hardware fails or if the device driver fails.
Have you tried to update the device driver for test?
Please follow this guide trying t resolve this issue:

My IDT audio works fine and my laptop's sound works fine, but when I hoop up my laptop to my TV through a HDMI cord I get my laptop's video output displayed on my TV but no sound from my laptop is output to my TV. I think the problem is because there is something wrong with my High Definition Audio Device. It has a yellow triangle next to it with a ! in the middle of the yellow triangle in device manager under Sound, video, and game controllers. And when I click properties on the High Definition Audio Device, it says, " This device cannot start. (Code 10) {Operation Failed} The requested operation was unsuccessful". Any help would be great. Windows 10 is CLEAN installed on a NEW HARD DRIVE. I DID NOT upgrade, windows 10 was clean installed from a disk.

Hi: Yes, that is the Intel HDMI audio device that is having a problem. See if this works...right click on it, and select uninstall. Check the Uninstall Driver box and restart the PC. Hopefully the HDMI audio driver will reinstall itself properly. If not, I have one other trick up my sleeve.

Hello,
I recently put together a new computer, and in the process of of installing the USB 3.0 connector from the front of my GX500 case, I either bent numerous pins on the motherboard USB 3.0 header or the motherboard shipped that way and I inadvertently made matters worse. Anyway, that header on the motherboard is without a doubt unusable.
Since I don't really need the USB 3.0 functionality, I bought a USB 3.0 -> 2.0 adapter cable, connected one end to the connector on the front of the case and the other end into the USB 2.0/1.1 header on the motherboard. Unfortunately, when Windows 7 boots and I plug a device into the front ports of the case, Windows detects the front USB ports as "Unknown Device" within Device Manager yet says the driver is successfully installed. I've already downloaded the most current Intel chipset drivers for my motherboard, deleted and reinstalled all USB drivers, and all rear USB connections are working perfectly fine - it's just the two front ports that are connected from the case to the USB 2.0/1.1 ports via the adapter cable.  I've tried both USB 2.0/1.1 headers on the motherboard, and I've tried plugging in several devices to the front USB ports, and this problem still persists.
I've ensured the connection inside the case is solid, yet I cannot get Windows to recognize the front USB ports.  However, I have confirmed that power is being sent to the front ports because it charges my phone when I connect it to the front USB ports via m... Read more

Hi everybody.

I just bought myself a Powercolor Radeon HD 4890 yesterday. After installing the card and the required drivers everything works like a charm. However, every time I start up my PC I get a message saying that a new device has been found on my system. On checking Device Manager I found an "Unknown device" entry under "Other devices".

I'm attaching a screenshot of Device Manager.

Are there any drivers I'm missing? It only happened after removing my old card (after uninstalling all its drivers) and installing the Radeon.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

A:Unknown Device In Device Manager After Installing Radeon HD 4890

I have a Powercolor Radeon HD 4890 (I also have a Gigabyte 4890 and XFX 4890 in two other PCs). I think you need to install the latest ATI Catalyst Suite. You may have installed the driver only package. Anyway, I think it has to do with the HDMI capabilities of the card. High def sound is built into the card (the HD part of the card name) and the HD sound driver is part of the Catalyst Suite. When you use an HDMI cable to an appropriate display, HD sound is also transmitted through the same cable from the Radeon graphics card.

Of course, be sure to install .NET Framework 2.0 as it is required before you can install the full Catalyst Suite. The HD sound driver won't install without it. At least I had trouble before I installed .NET 3.5. I went to Windows Update and installed .NET Framework 3.5. 2.0 is included in that update and 2.0 wasn't available separately.

OK so I have the asus rampage formula motherboard.

It comes with some utilities ... ASUS probe (for temp readings/voltages), AIBooster, and some other stuff.

The only one I installed was ASUS probe because I thought it would be useful, however, I'll get a BSOD randomly (even when not using the asus probe program) associated with the driver "ASACPI.sys" which when I look it up, is a driver for the "ATK ACPI Utility" (in device manager).

I remove ASACPI.sys from my system... now no more BSODs, but every type I restart the hardware manager comes up asking me to install ATK ACPI Utility...

I don't want it and can't permanantly get rid of it!

I even tried going to the windows\inf folder, found the oem.inf file that corresponded to this device, deleted it, and it still shows up. It shows up under device manager, under system devices, as "unknown device" every time I start my computer.

i have installed the correct driver for this belkin bluetooth usb dongle model: F8T012XX1

but in device manager, it has the belkin device and microsoft bluetooth enumerator, which is great. but when u get further down the list. it has a tab named "other devices" and then a subtab with "bluetooth peripheral device" which has an exclemation mark on it.

i have searched for driver software using the update service but it cant find no update.

i have looked for the name of the manufacturer but found nothing.

i then disabled the unknown device, and sent a picture to my mobile phone. which confirmed that it was not the belkin bluetooth device. so i uninstalled the unknown device, restarted the computer. then when i logged in, it said that it had found a new device and wanted me to find the CD that came with it..

i would be greatful if any1 could help me on this..

thanks in advance

So here?s a stressful situation.
I?ve been having this issue with both iOS and Android, where sometimes when I upload a photo to an image service or social media (Instagram, Ello, Facebook, etc.) The photo appears to be uploaded completely normally, but after I come back to it, say 10 minutes later, there is a visible distortion or glitching on the picture, as if the data stream was interrupted or intercepted and whoever was doing the interception didn?t properly reconfigure the data upon exit so the picture ended up having a visual artifact or glitch upon it. I?m not sure what this is, or why it?s happening, but it?s even happened on my digital camera sometimes, (after transferring the DCIM files to my pc, and then cellphone of course.) They appear normal on PC, normal on the phone, but when they are uploaded, they are either IMMEDIATELY glitched near the bottom half or top half of the screen, or after a certain amount of time, it just shows up. I would love it if anyone had any experience with this or knew what the issue was, because it isn?t as consistent as a ?connector cable? error or any of that, it?s more random and only happened on a photo or two. I would attach a picture, but upon noticing this happen again I immediately uninstalled and deactivated those accounts for fear someone may have been snooping in or perhaps intercepting my data, ( causing concerns towards banking, emails, etc. )

Hi: I am pretty sure you need this driver.  The latest is for W8.1. This package provides the driver that enables the Intel SidebandFabric device. Intel Sideband Fabric Device Driver is a bridge tothe Intel Dynamic Platform and Thermal Framework. This package isprovided for supported notebook models that are running a supported operating system. File name: sp65474.exe I don't know if not having that driver installed is related to the black screen issue.

I have Windows 7 Ultimate. Since very recently an unknown device keeps popping up in the device manager every time I start Win. It's reported location is within the front USB root hub but I haven't changed there anything lately. The device status reports "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems (Code 43)". I can uninstall/disable it but it will get picked up again the next time I reboot. All other usb devices (mouse, keyboard, web camera, APC UPS, external drive, printer) work fine. How do I get rid of this nuisance so that it doesn't reappear?

Hey! First things first, I'm running an Aspire V3-772g laptop. After the recent Windows 10 update, I was having issues getting past the lock screen (took AGES to get to the point where I could input my password) and it had been a while, so I reformatted ('reset my PC' deleting all files) - this actually didn't solve my problem, so I used Rufus with a Windows 10 iso from Microsoft to delete all partitions and REALLY start fresh. Ever since, the laptop is running like a dream--in all but one respect. It seems like no matter WHAT I do, I CANNOT get my HDMI audio / TV to appear as an option in Playback Devices (yes, disabled devices is ticked). Looking in Device Manager, the High Definition Audio Device has an exclamation mark is throwing a code 10 - device unable to start. I've tried uninstalling it, tried installing all drivers from Intel's V3-772g page including chipset, updated my graphics driver / Realtek / Intel HD audio drivers... and yet, nothing. Ran /sfc, ran /chkdsk, nothing. I read something that led me to believe .NET framework might be part of the issue--and I did actually have quite a bit of difficulty getting 3.5 installed / functional, but I finally did...... and still, nothing!! I'm seriously losing my mind. I'm having to run my surround sound through an auxiliary cable into the laptop, which is just sacrilege and a fraction of the quality. If there is ANYTHING, ANYONE can suggest beyond the above, please do!!

I added a new 500 gig external drive to a server several months ago to use as a secondary backup device. We use a DAT drive as our primary.

I backup 3 boxes to this external drive, starting at 8:00 p.m., and allow 2 hours for each backup. I haven't gone back in the event viewer to see exactly when this started, but I get this message now at the times those backup routines start.

An error was detected on device \Device\Harddisk2\DR4 during a paging operation

There is only 1 internal drive in the server and it is HardDisk1. Number 2 is this Seagate FreeAgent USB drive.

Anyone have any ideas as to what that message really means? I can manually copy data to it and erase data from it.

I have noticed however; that some of my backups aren't executing at times on those 3 other boxes for what ever reason.

I'm wondering if this drive is going into a hibernation routine or something like that....

Thoughts?

TIA
