I recommend downloading and running DAP. It can help sort out any driver and firmware related issues on your system

It's worked out well for many of us in the past.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloaddap.org. (This link will open the download page of DAP so you can save a copy to your computer.)

You need to give the exact model number for your ASUS.

But have you checked the ASUS website for the bt driver for your model.

well i decided to go full bluetooth because im tired of spending money on replacment headphones and broken tangled cables so i brought myself some Tone infinium HBS-900 bluetooth headphones. now on my phone that supports APT-X these things are amazing! but on my computer it seems that im plagued with interference and sound crackling. so i swapped out my realtek AC wireless wifi card and brought a intel 7260 Dualband +bluetooth 4.0
for a while it seemed to be working and now its again crackling and shuddering. its driving me nuts! then i brought THIS

so that i can make anything bluetooth just to my disappointment that i dont think these 2 thing scan connect to each other, i mean how would i connect to things that have no gui together? but someone said they have done it ant it works fine but i can for the life of me find out how to do it.
i have already trying updating the drivers on my computer and i ave the latest. but if i cover my bluetooth or even move 2 feet away from it it crackles and disconnects sometimes. it was not doing that at first and i only tested it with my pc but yea. i tried 4 phones and they are flawless, i could go outside of my apartment and i would be connected on all 4 phones but not on my pc.

Hello..

I recently bought a bluetooth dongle through e-bay (it's this by the way, in case anyone else has also bought it: Tiny USB 2.0 Bluetooth V2.0 EDR Dongle Wireless Adapter on eBay (end time 26-Aug-10 09:48:22 BST) )

It says it's plug n play. I tried installing it to my pc with Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit, it seemed to install fine. I tried to add my phone (Sony Ericsson w910i), and as soon as it started installing devices, it installed:
- MyPhone(Remote Control)
- HID-compliant consumer control device
- HID-compliant device
- HID-compliant device
- Standard Modem over Bluetooth link

BUT I also get 3 "Bluetooth Peripheral Device" devices, that do not install correctly. It seems like windows update can't find any drivers and I cannot connect to my phone with MyPhoneExplorer, nor can I send/receive files.. Can you help me? Is there any chance that this bluetooth doesn't work with Windows 7 64-bit?

Additional info about my dongle I found through Everest:
Device Description: CSR Bluetooth Radio
Device ID: 0A12-0001
Device Class: E0/01 (Bluetooth)
Device Protocol: 01

, while in the "Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator" it says:
- Driver Date: 21/6/2006
- Driver Version: 6.1.7600.16385
- INF File: bth.inf
- Hardware ID: BTH\MS_BTHBRB
PS. I tried the dongle with my secondary pc which uses Windows XP and I was able to install my mobile phone succesfully. I also managed to connect with MyPhoneExplorer

So

I'm currently at windows 7 x64 and i got one of this recently, for using with an wiimote. What happened was:

I would install it at a X usb port, and once in a while it would start to malfunction, swapping the port would solve that, until it happened again.

So i remembered in former versions of windows deleting the driver to isntall again would work, then the last time i told windows to uninstall it i marked the option for "delete drivers".

Then i've pluged it off/on. Now windows tries to install driver and tells me "file not found". So I'm not even sure why it checks windows update and how to get the driver =(.

And if I get how to get it working =((

Just Right Click on it and see if it will remove. In the Toshiba folder on C:/ (may be under Programs or Programs x86), there should be a related folder with a Uninstall.

The installer at support.toshiba.com may give you the ID# that Toshiba uses for that file, when you click on Download.

I have a Lenovo Y500.Basically, my problem is this; when I boot up the computer the bluetooth radio is working as expected. My Microsoft Sculpt Touch Bluetooth Mouse functions perfectly at the login screen and continues to work during normal usage until the computer goes to sleep or hibernate mode. That is where the trouble starts. After the computer wakes from sleep the mouse is not working. Some troubleshooting reviles that the bluetooth icon is missing from the system tray after waking from sleep. Searching the start menu for bluetooth does not find any settings for managing bluetooth. The Action Center is missing the bluetooth toggle button. In the Devices area in PC Settings "Bluetooth" is missing. When I open Device Manager the Bluetooth device is not listed. If I go to View --> Show hidden devices in Device Manager then the Bluetooth devices show up but are greyed out. The only way I can find to enable the Bluetooth radios is to reboot the computer. Currently I am running Windows 10 Home 64-bit on this computer. I had the same problem on the same computer when it was running Windows 7 pro 64-bit. The difference was that after waking from sleep, although the bluetooth radio was turned off, I could press fn+F5 to open the lenovo power manager which allowed me to control the power state of bluetooth and wifi. On Windows 10 pressing fn+F5 does nothing (not even enable airplane mode which, based on the icon on the key, should be it's function). It is ridic... Read more

Hi guys,

I bought a bluetooth dongle off of amazon so I could use my bluetooth headset with my comp. Once plugged in it installs driver version 6.1.7601.17889 from microsoft and there are no yellow '?'s. When I look for devices it sees my headset no probs but will not connect, which it does instantly with phones / tablets etc.

A very detailed search has brought me to the conclusion that it's a problem with the bluetooth driver, not the headset. Unfortunately there are no identifiers on the dongle itself but device manager seems to think it's:

Device type: Bluetooth Radios
Manufacturer: Cambridge Silicon Radio Ltd

Is there anyway I can detect exactly the chipset in the dongle and get the correct drivers installed? Or am I barking up the wrong tree completely?

Thanks.

Hi all,

So, the story goes like this.

I have the HP touchsmart tm2, and I purchased an SSD a few months ago. I did a clean install on the SSD, and installed all the drivers (including the bluetooth drivers). Since I didn't need to use bluetooth before, I didn't bother checking to see whether it worked or not. All I know is that before I did the clean install, bluetooth worked on the old installation.

I recently purchased a bluetooth device and wanted to connect it to my computer. However, when I tried looking for the bluetooth module under device manager, I could not find it. I tried looking under the "adapter settings" in the network and sharing centre but to no avail.

I thought I installed the incorrect drivers, so I tried installing them again. When I tried that, an error message popped up saying that I need to turn on my bluetooth device first before attempting to install the driver.

The bluetooth module itself is not broken, nor is it disconnected from the computer. I tried looking under the BIOS, and the bluetooth FCC ID field had a value for it.

I even tried opening up my laptop and replugging the module itself. When I unplugged the module, the bluetooth FCC ID field in the BIOS would disappear, only to reappear when I replugged the module.

I tried looking in the BIOS for any options pertaining to the bluetooth module, but could not find any.

Does anybody have any idea what is wrong?

(P.S. the bluetooth module is made by Broadcom)

Do you have a bluetooth on/off program, on some of the laptops I have used there is often an option to turn on the bluetooth - when OFF its does not show up in the device manager

there maybe a HP wireless assistant that also manages the bluetooth

service manual

shows the bluetooth controlled by the wireless switch - but on my older HP Laptop - the HP wireless assistant controlled the bluetooth and the wireless separately

I have read thru the posts regarding the G510 but not sure if they have the same hardware therefore not sure if their issue is the same as mine.I have tried setting bios to default values. installing the latest 2015 drivers from Lenovo and still cannot get any bluetooth to work. I don't know if it ever worked because I never wanted to use it till now. This is a new install of Windows 10 version 1809. By searching my serial number in the parts website it shows my Wlan/Bt adapter was the original equipment but nowhere in windows or the bios does it mention bluetooth, not in Device Mgr.  Even the bluetooth & other device settings do not show an enable/disable for bluetooth. I can and did install the driver and do see 3 bluetooth related services with all set to manual and not running unless I start them. Manual starting does not seem to make any difference. My serial number is CB28898976 if you can or will verify if I am supposed to have BT.Parts shows Liteon WB335 1x1BGN+BT4.0 HMC  as my As-Built adapter.

So i spent the entire day trying to figure out why my Bluetooth installed fine but after one restart it disappeared and it wouldn't come back. I finally figured it out that the FN+F2 (wireless/bluetooth switches) is what enables/disabled it HAHAHAHAHA.

second time: WiFi off / BT on
third time: WiFi off / BT off

and repeat.

I hope this helps people with their bluetooth issues =)

Unfortunately, your unexpanded Device Manager screenshot tells us nothing since you haven't expanded the relevant device category to show the bluetooth driver status, or if it's driver installed at all.

Please post another screenshot with the relevant category expanded to show bluetooth driver status.

Also check that bluetooth is actually turned on. It's usually enabled/disabled by either a slider-switch or one of the top level keys in combination with the Fn key.

Hi there!

I've been trying to get my bluetooth working for the past few weeks with no luck. The device doesn't appear in Device Manager, and the drivers that I've tried (both from dell, and apart from dell since they only support Vista and XP with Studio 1535) all have given me the response of no device detected.

In my bios, in the Device Info section, there are no WPAN detected, which I understood was my bluetooth.

My spec's are:
Windows 7 - 32 bit
Studio 1535

In Device Manager, I have two "Base System Device"
Hardware ID of first:
PCI\VEN_1180&DEV_0592&SUBSYS_02541028&REV_12
PCI\VEN_1180&DEV_0592&SUBSYS_02541028
PCI\VEN_1180&DEV_0592&CC_088000
PCI\VEN_1180&DEV_0592&CC_0880
Hardware ID of second:
PCI\VEN_1180&DEV_0843&SUBSYS_02541028&REV_12
PCI\VEN_1180&DEV_0843&SUBSYS_02541028
PCI\VEN_1180&DEV_0843&CC_088000
PCI\VEN_1180&DEV_0843&CC_0880

Could anyone have an insight on how to fix my bluetooth device? Any efforts are appreciated

Hi there,
Can someone help me, I am unable to send & receive files via bluetooth from laptop to other device. I always get message (attached) everytime I receive/send file via bluetooth. I don't know what's wrong with it. Please help, please advise.

Thanks heaps!!!

A:no local bluetooth device was detected

"local bluetooth device" is referring to a bluetooth device inside your laptop.

Are you sure your laptop has a built-in Bluetooth device?
Check Device Manager on your laptop to see if Bluetooth is listed there.
If it isn't, then your laptop doesn't have one.

If you are certain it does have one, it may be that it's driver needs re-installing. You can download it from your laptop manufacturer's website.

I tried the following samples, to be able to get device Information from a BLE device. https://googlechrome.github.io/samples/web-bluetooth/device-info.htmlhttps://googlechrome.github.io/samples/web-bluetooth/device-info-async-await.html The problem is, that no devices are detected, not my intended BLE device, but also not any other devices. Other BLE scanners on my mobile phone are able to detect devices that are near, therefore it should also be possible from the above website.  I tried the samples on different laptops: Lenovo ThinkPad T480s, Lenovo Yoga and HP. Only the HP laptop was able to list a list of devices. The Lenovo Laptops were searching, but didn't find any.  Do I need to change any settings in order for this to work also with Chrome on Lenovo?  Specifications:OS: Windows 10Browser: Chrome, Version 70 I would really appreciate your help! Thank you in advance.

I have the late 2014 edition Alienware 17 laptop with an i7-4700mq and gtx 765m. Not sure how else to tell which model i have.
Anyway, I am wondering if anyone could help me solve this headache once and for all, because after countless hours of reading forums, downloading drivers, etc, I am more than frustrated with this laptop. I have recently purchased a set of bluetooth headphones, and no matter what I do, my laptop cannot seem to detect them. I've tried reinstalling drivers and rolling back to the original drivers it shipped with, but nothing seems to work. The headphones are brand new, and connect within seconds to my iPhone. They also connect just fine to my cousins laptop, and work just as they should. Previously I had tried using my sound dock, but the laptop would pair and not be able to play any sound out of the dock. Funny enough my cousins 8 year old laptop that he spent 200 bucks on seems to connect and play music just fine.
I know this laptop is over 2 years old, but I've had this problem since I first got it, I just could not be bothered with it anymore, and after my previous experiences with customer service, I felt I was out of luck.
My bluetooth card is the Broadcomm BCM20702 Bluetooth 4.0 +HS USB Device
or Broadcom BCM4352 Wireless+BT 4.0 Driver.... I'm not sure exactly.
The headphones i am trying connect are the Sony MDR-XB950BT wireless bluetooth headphones.

Please if anyone could help me that would be much appreciated. I just want to en... Read more

Hello. Try asking on the Alienware Club board. There might be something in the FAQ there.
Also could try the Internet/Wireless board.

I'm using 1903 version of Windows 10 64 bit and Bluetooth is not detected on my system, although Wi-fi is working fine. And naturally I can't install Lenovo BT drivers. It is not displayed on Device Manager: There is no option to turn it on/off at Devices section of Windows Settings: When I run the Bluetooth Troubleshooter, it says Bluetooth not available on this device.

May I ask question about bluetooth? I know nothng about it except it allows me to connect to my phone and transfer pix and data.
I just read that during the upgrade from Win 7 to Win 8 bluetooth was one of the features Win 8 would not accept.
What do you do when you buy a Dell laptop with bluetooth and Win 8 will not allow it to be included in the ugrade?
Thank you

I have been trying to fix the issue for a few months now - got a new laptop for Christmas and the problem has been since day 1.

When booting, WIFI and Bluetooth are greyed out and I cannot use them. I consequently need to restart the computer a few times until it works. It also happens sometimes when booting from sleep.

The issue happens with BOTH Windows 10 and Linux (Elementary OS).

I asked Asus (I have a UX310UA) about it and they suggested to delete and reinstall the Wifi adapter's driver from control panel - if it doesn't work, it should be a hardware issue according to Asus Support. I was not aware of Bluetooth having the same problem until recently.
I don't believe it's a hardware issue and that's why I'm reaching you.

I also tried to reinstall the driver manually but I don't know if I succeeded though.

Any help would be wonderful !

A:Wifi and bluetooth adapter not detected?

Check your keyboard for a hot key combo for enabling/disabling the adapter.

This is my first experience with trying to use a bluetooth device, a Microsoft Sculpt Comfort Mouse, on my Dell X8500 running Win 7 SP1. I thought it would be simple but, boy, was I wrong. I went to Add a Device as instructed but the system didn't detect it. After trying the several things suggested by the system I finally took a look at Devices and Printers and fount the Bluetooth USB Host Controller had a yellow exclamation point with it. I found the following message for the Bluetooth LWFLT Device and the Virtual Bluetooth Device.

"This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31)".

I had chased down one or two other avenues and got a message saying something like, "Windows update is not configured to download the driver."

Anyone have a way to get my Bluetooth mouse to be recognized?

Thank you very much.

Thank you.

Hi jsquareg,

Please let me know which bluetooth card is installed on the system. If it is bluetooth/wireless card then let us know the model of the same.

You would need to install bluetooth driver and application for the system. You can also check this video for updating the same on your own:

Updating Dell Drivers

Keep us posted with the results so we can advise you further.
