Q: Does P51 compatible G-skill Ripjaws memory?

I tried to add 32gb memory on the D face, but I cannot boot with that. The laptop worked well if I remove the new memories. I also tried to put them in the slots under the keyboard, but it looks like the buckle could not hold them because the thickness of the memories.

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

I have selected this Memory and this Motherboard for a new computer i'm building:

Memory: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231429

However the G.SKILL Ripjaws are intended for the Intel P67 motherboard, so I was wondering if someone could suggest me different RAM sticks or a different motherboard, and for reference here is the video card I plan to get:

Feel free to suggest me a different video card as well, if you think the one I picked out isn't good enough. Please note that I don't plan to spend over $200 dollars on one specific item.

Basically, I bought this system from newegg and I have never been able to get it to show that i actually have 16gb of ram, though it is installed, and ET6 recognizes all slots are filled. I have tried to set the memory to the "ganged" setting as all 4 sticks are the same G SKILL F3-12800CL9-4GBZL. still only still 12 gbs. I have tried to manually set the memory from 1333 to 1600 and I continually get boot errors. Please help. The motherboard says it supports up to 32 gb of ram and both my processor and memory. Why can I not get it to work?

I am building a system and was just wondering if there is any real difference between these two memory's

But first I'll show you my system as a whole

My system is going to be this

Gigabyte A7M-D2H

AMD A8 3870K APU with radeon HD 6550D also will do dual graphics in the future probably

I have two choices in mind (unless you guy's recommend something completely different. So is there any real difference between these two in anyway, like would I see any performance difference

G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)

G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666)

OCZ ModXstream-Pro 700 W

Old case from a P4 build I did years ago, unless you really think a new case is necessary if so then I'd probably go with a CoolerMaster HAF 912 or something.

here is my system

Windows 7 Ultimate x64 SP1

here is my WEI

in cpu-z

my friend's pc has a 7.3 rating for his ram (we have exactly the same ram) while mine is only 5.9?! wtf?
how can i fix this? please..

A:My ripjaws 4gb ddr3 rated only 5.9 in WEI? whats wrong?

Of course... there's only one stick. So, it's running in single channel. If you install two or more sticks, it should make a difference in WEI since it takes multiple sticks to run double or triple channel.

Here's my CPU-Z (3x2GB DDR3 Ram on Core i7 950)

To run in dual channel, in your current setup, you need an additional stick. Adding a 3rd or a 4th stick won't make you go in triple or quadruple channel.

Once you get another stick and install it, your WEI should improve.

Yeah, I was wondering whether the massive Silver Arrow would fit inside a Fractal Define R3, with AsRock Z68 Pro3 and Ripjaws DDR3 inside? It'd be a killer setup, though not so killer if the Ripjaws can't fit and the side panel of R3 won't close...

A:Will Silver Arrow fit inside Fractal R3 with AsRock Z68 Pro3 and Ripjaws?

Silver Arrow is 160mm, however I did read a review that states differently.

Most list the spec at 160mm in height. WRONG!!! It is exactly 167mm in height or 6.57 inches.Click to expand...

Fractal Define R3 allows 165mm height for CPU coolers.

Hi everyone,
One stick of my system memory died lately and I am planning to buy some new ones. I own an ECS nforce3-A939 mobo and i know the best memory I can put in is 2gb of DDR 3200 dual channel.
The thing is, I want to buy a kit of OCZ Platinum 3200 dual channel (2x1gb). Unfortunately, OCZ's memory configurator only sugesting me Value Series 3200.

Is the platinum series compatible with my mobo or I'll be wasting my money?

Thank You

A:Compatible memory?

Go to www.crucial.com and use their configuration finder. You won't find better memory than Crucial. Then once you discover what works, you can buy any brand.
Value Ram is OK, provided you don't need the high speed for gaming or image editing software. It is "value" because the chips on the module may be from a number of sources, not tested, and not likely to work at the higher speeds.
There is a much marketing as technology in most memory modules. Reliability wins out over marketing for our computers... thus, Crucial, Kingston, Infineon, and Corsair are our likely choices.

Other than the Lenovo solution, would others please post memory that is compatible with P70/P50 ECC.I see crucial produces the following:  CT16G4TFD824Ahttp://www.crucial.com/usa/en/ct16g4tfd824a16GB DDR4-2400 Unbuffered ECC 1.2VHas anyone tried this module?

A:P70 ECC Compatible memory

I haven't "tried" this ECC memory because I'm still waiting for the E3-1535M  CPU to become orderable in the North American market.  However, I have also been looking at specification compatible ECC modules.  The Crucial one you referenced isn't, spec-wise, exactly the same as the Lenovo provided one. Here is the comparison between the Samsung M474A2K43BB1-CPB one that Lenovo provides and the Crucial one you referenced:Samsung: 16GB SODIMM ECC SDRAM DDR4-2133 Mhz Unbuffered PC4-17000 Mb/s 1.2 Volt 260 Pin with Latency CL=15Crucial: 16 GB SODIMM ECC SDRAM DDR4-2400 Mhz Unbuffered PC4-19200 Mb/s 1.2 Volt 260 Pin with Latency CL=17 So, the spec differences between the two are the Speed (2133 Mhz vs 2400 Mhz), the bandwidth (17000 Mb/second vs 19200 Mb/second) and the latency (15 nano seconds vs. 17 nano seconds). Although there may be other Samsung "spec identical" ECC memory, the only other 16 GB one I have found so far (from this forum) is the Transcend TS2GSH72V1B. Like you, I'd be very interested to hear from others on this subject.

A:Is this memory compatible with my laptop?

The answer is "maybe".  Your  machine uses low-voltage PC3L memory (1.35V).  The other stick is PC3, which is 1.5V memory.  Some 1.5V memory will work at 1.35V and some will not.  You would need to try the individual stick.  (All 1.35V PC3L memory will work at either 1.35V or 1.5V).

I had a computer built for me roughly a year ago and with it came 2GB DDR2 of Corsair XMS2 6400 800 mhz 5-5-5-18 memory. I recently wanted to upgrade my memory from 2GB to 4GB so I went to nearest Microcenter and wrote down my exact memory specs. I purchased 2GB DDR2 of Corsair XMS2 6400 800 mhz 5-5-5-18 memory and plugged it into my free momory spaces. I was a little paranoid at first because the two sets were in what looks like different housing. The first set of memory is in a silver metal housing that looks flashy and the second set is just a standard memory stick. After placing the new memory in and trying to boot - nothing happens. I tried several different configurations on the system board and nothing seems to work - same result each time - no boot from the computer if the new memory is installed. If I removed the new sticks the computer boots fine. I'm using an XFX Nforce 680i LT SLI which supports up to 4gb of memory. I'm wondering if there is a common cause for this or if maybe because the memory was purchased a year apart (and have different cases) there is a known compatibility issue. I'd rather not having to buy 4gb of new memory to go from 2gb to 4gb unless absolutely necessary. Thanks for the help.

A:Similar memory not compatible?

Does your motherboard beep when you try to boot with the new memory in it? If so, try to record the beep pattern (long and short tones) and post that.

If you go to the manufacturers site and look up the motherboard there should be a list available to view or download for compatible RAM, you can check it there.

Unfortunately the compatability lists only include RAM they have tested so even if it is not in the list it may still be ok. Thing to do is try it.

side note: The reason why i got an extra G.skill ram is because the new Corsair i brought in to Bestbuy the other day for installation was bad? , the tech told me my PC won't start up when he put the the similar stick of Corsair ram to the existence one, so i went out and purchase the G.skill instead from newegg and hopefully its compatible with the old one.

So my other question is, was the secondary Corsair a DOA or can the Bestbuy tech fix it by adjusting my PC bio or other setting?

A:Memory check if its compatible for my mobo

it usually works, but it is NEVER good to mix memory modules... all working well individually. You will always note a hit in performance, and some will make the computer noticeably slower.
Better to sell the old, and install all identical modules...

Hi Guys,

Acer T180 with 2 X 512Gb PC2-4300 CL4 sticks. CPUZ reports as running at 100.5Mhz?

I want to add more memory.

Can I add 2 matched sticks of PC2-5400 CL4 1GB each
or 2 sticks of DDR2-5300 CL5 1GB each.
Both of the above at 675Mhz.

I have 4 slots each max of 1Gb; 2 used as above, 2 free.

What are the rules and implications for matching memory?
Is it correct that whatever I put in will run at the slowest speed i.e. the original PC2-4300 above?
Does it matter which slot pairs are used for which sticks e.g should the 1GB sticks go in the first two slots rather than the last.

I also see specifications like 5-5-5-15 , does that matter.

Wow, sorry for all the questions!

I have a HP Pavilion p6-2220t, Product number: B3F79AV#ABA with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit Service Pack 1.  It is four years old. It has a 6-in-1 memory card reader.  I have never used it and want to now.  I have tried and tried but I cannot find out what kind of cards are compatable.  Does anyone here know?  Or do you know where I can get this information?   Thank you in advance.

Anybody knows which DDR4 memory modules work with this model? I tried 2x16gb 2400Mhz modules and they didn't work. Any experience?

Hi, No, they won't physically fit. Even if fitted, they won't run that speed. Regards.

Q: G.Skill

Just picked up a new Asus P8P67 Deluxe board and a i7 2600K. I currently have 4 sticks of Mushkin Silverline 1333MHz in there now but they are being sold with my older board. I can get a great deal on a G.Skill Ripjaws X 1866Mhz from a local store but I have absolutely no knowledge of G.Skill. Just wondering what?s everyone?s thoughts are on G.Skill?

I've personally not used them but I have a few friends that do and they swear by them. Only one thing to consider, the hight of the heat spreaders, make sure that your CPU fan has clearence for the extra height of the RAM.

i have a 2gb pc2 6400 drr2 800 ram (400mhz)
my command rate is set at 2T

any clue how i could get that to 1t for better performance?

A:G. Skill

Very Few Intel based Motherboards, specially P35 ones allow you to set 1T .
If you cannot see the option in your current BIOS ,see if an updated BIOS has been released has that option.
