I recommend downloading and running DAP. It can help sort out any driver and firmware related issues on your system

It's worked out well for many of us in the past.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloaddap.org. (This link will open the download page of DAP so you can save a copy to your computer.)

After using my new Thinkpad P1 for about a month, the NVIDIA Quadro card has been disabled by Windows. This happened while I was using my laptop connected to an external monitor through HDMI.  Since Windows has decided to disable the quadro card, I cannot use any external monitor. Things already tried-1. Installed latest Nvidia driver - did not work.2. Uninstalled, disabled and reinstalled latest Nvidia driver - did not work.3. Formatted the computer and reinstalled windows - Graphics card started working, worked for 10 minutes and I got a BSOD (blue screen of death) with a message related to graphics card. Now it has not been working again. Anyone else having the same issues or did I just get a laptop with bad motherboard/graphics card?I have attached some screenshots of the warning in my device manager, error code 43 in the graphics card properties box, and task manager showing no quadro card.

No matter how hard I tried with various software (MSI Afterburner, NVIDIA Inspector) I cannot undervolt the NVIDIA Quadro P2000. The voltage graph resets on MSI Afterburner when I click apply, and the option to adjust voltage is greyed out on NVIDIA Inspector. I was hoping to fine tune this replacement P1 to my liking and this software problem has happened. On this replacement unit, the heatsink cools the GPU much better (reaching only 60-65 degrees Celsius instead of 90C on the first one), but the CPU temperatures seem to be uneven between cores 0-1, 2-3, and 4-5 (from hot to cool core pairs). I have updated both Intel and Nvidia drivers to the latest version (manually uninstalled with DDU and downloaded the drivers from their websites respectively), and I'm on the latest Windows 10 Version 1809. Did anyone else with a P1 or X1 Extreme encountered this same GPU undervolting problem? I would like to know. TIA.

Hi all, I have a some problems with Nvidia Quadro K1100M on my W540.  First problem is about updating graphic driver. I can use only the driver form officialLenovo pages, because when I try update driver to newest from official Nvidiapage, my laptop everytime ends in BSOD during installation.Problem is pointed to some dlkmd.sys. file. I try to find more about this topic on Google,and I finded some same problems but with diffrent GPUs on diffrent laptops.But I thing the core of problem is same. If someone have same problem, plasehow you solve this? And the second problem is quite contecetd with first. I work on Adobe CC on my W540and I use CUDA accelerating for my projects in After Effects and Premiere Pro.Sometimes I have a problem with switching between Intel HD graphics and Nvidia K1100M.After Effects freeze and I must restart my computer. CUDA accelarating sometimes works, sometimes not.I'm really depressed form this. Thanks for all answers. Best regards Luká? K.

I have two identical LG 22MC57HQ-P external monitors hooked up to my P71, no dock in use. I have one hooked up via HDMI, and one hooked up via miniDP. The one hooked up via miniDP is always rock solid, sleeps and wakes up as it is supposed to. The one hooked up via HDMI, nothing but problems. It frequently, randomly, loses its signal and goes completely to powered down mode, requiring a button press to turn it back on. Sometimes, it is not able to pick a signal back up from the P71; even after unplugging/replugging, a reboot is required to get it to pick up a signal. I have switched the monitors, the problem stays with the one plugged into the HDMI port. I have tried System Update/Vantage drivers, I have tried downloading them from Nvidia, problem persists. I have recently erased all graphics drivers from the system, rebooted, and let System Update grab the drivers from Lenovo, problem persists. I have tried Hybrid and Discrete options in the BIOS (currently on discrete, I think), problem persists.  I should also mention I have frequent BSOD issues as well, but I figured I'd see if I could fix this one major annoyance. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Just curios why the on board monitor of my P71 ThinkPad does not utilize the NVIDIA Quadro P4000 video card. Instead it is connected to Intel HD Graphics P630.  Please see the attached screen shot of my display settings.

I would think you should be able to completely disable the Intel HD Graphics in the BIOS.

Hi all

Thaught I'd make a post of this since I had trouble getting my graphics driver working with build 7264 x64 and the latest 7600 x64 release..

The driver I used earlier was presented on windowsupdate as a
(WDDM Pre-release) (does not show up with build 7264 x64 and latest 7600 x64)

Download this driver -> http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/nvidia...24_win7x64.exe

When you extract it you will find a zip archive called: additional_infs.zip
Inside this archive extract the file called: nvlt.inf

Put it with the rest of the files you extracted from the .exe file.

The driver is not digitally signed, but you will at least get your videocard working

I don't know why Lenovo is SO slow at getting drivers out for Quadro. June 11 2019 - Lenovo release the Optimus Driver - incl. Quadro/TI1050/Optimus. - But the embedded NVidia drivers are 6 months old already. (They contain NVidia driver v417.35 - NVidia released that in Dec '18) That means current releases of fx. ffmpeg wont run. Only ffmpeg from January will run. (And other issues incl security issues as well) But I found out if I install the Lenovo drivers first - and THEN instal the DCE Quadro Drivers seperately afterwards - everything does still seem to work fine - and then now I'm running NVidia 431.02 with NVenc 9 and CUDA 10.2 (Vs NVenc 8.1 and Cuda 10) It also makes my e-GPU card work (Quadro RTX 4000) - where as standard Lenovo Drivers and Microsoft update NVidia RTX drivers - I had all kinds of issues and my P2000 kept getting disabled. With the official driver from NVidia hotplug works fine and speed is "reasonable" for e-GPU. I have not done a lot of testing on this last version - but Optimus did work on the previous Lenovo Drivers + NVidia Quadro Drivers. I went here: https://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-usProduct Type: QuadroProduct Series: Quadro RTX SeriesProduct: Quadro RTX 4000OS : Win 10 64 bitWindows Driver Type: DCHDownload Type : Optimal Driver for Enterprise (ODE) and downloaded that - that includes drivers for Quadro P2000. My ffmpeg speed went from roughly 10.2x on transcode to 16.8x for the ... So according to the NVidia 378 Release Notes the 375 Professional drivers will be the last ones to support all the Quadro cards that exist in the P50/P70 series (1000M thru the 5000M) Does @Amy_Lenovo or any other moderators have any comment about this turn of events? What kind of guarantees will we get for future certifications against new software versions that are coming out? Are we out of luck, does Lenovo have any pull with NVidia on this? Do we as professional have any recourse? Official / unofficial MXM upgrades? Tradeup to a P71? (Probably a CDinH, but I have to ask ) Thanks.

I've just bought a Lenovo ThinkPad L13 Yoga (this one: https://www.lenovo.com/de/de/laptops/thinkpad/l-series/ThinkPad-L13-Yoga/p/22TPL13L3Y1) with both a touchscreen and a so-called "Thinkpad Pen Pro" stylus for handwriting.On my Manjaro installation (Arch Linux with gnome) the pen works like a broken mouse, allowing me to move the cursor around and execute left-clicks upon pressing it into the screen really hard. However, Both of the pen's buttons do nothing and I can neither use it to select text nor to draw lines in graphics software such as Krita. It is also not registered by gnome's settings no matter how much I move the pen around, resulting in a picture that looks like this:As much as I love Linux, not being able to take handwritten lecture notes is kind of a big dealbreaker for me right now... Do any of you have experience with Yogas and their pen support for Linux systems? Or do I really need to downgrade to Windows 10 again?

Inspired by Official nVidia Drivers 28.32, I checked if they have new Linux drivers. And they have, Linux driver 1.0-2802 has been out for a while.

Release Highlights for 1.0-2802:

* GeForce4 and Quadro4 Support
* OpenGL® 1.3 with NVIDIA extensions
* Improved IGP and mobile support
* Overlay support for Quadro products
* MPEG acceleration for GeForce4 MX
* Anisotropic filtering support

A:nVidia Linux drivers

Yes, I got those.

Don't ask me why, I have NO IDEA, but I have to compile from source and THEN install the rpms as well before it works....

(And then of course editing /etc/X11/xf86config-4 )

Then it works a treat. I don't really play games under Linux but those XMMS visualisations run so much better.....

I installed Linux 8.04 and tried to enable Compiz fusion and it didn't work. I did some googleing and found out you have to install the Nvidia proprietary drivers on for it to work. I tried and i could never get it to work, I had to repartition and i ended up reinstalling linux. Now, im on a fresh install of Linux and im again trying to enable compiz fusion and i need help . Im not that good with linux though .

Im running an Nvidia 9600gt, Core 2 duo, 24" moniter, 2 gigs of DDR2 900.
Also does anyone know the mouse settings that don't have interpolation? The ones that don't filter the mouse sensitivity? And also arn't there programs that let you emulate windows xp programs (Im dual booting) on linux? AND also im pretty sure theres a way to turn off the password authentication thing that pops up all the time...how do you do it?

A:Help on Nvidia drivers, Compiz Fusion for Linux 8.04

I assume you mean Ubuntu 8.04? To get the proprietary driver working you simply need to enable the restricted driver for you graphics card. It should then work. If it doesn't you may want to try envy. This is a script that will download and install the driver for you.

Nvidia Releases Updated Linux Drivers for the Old GeForce 8 and 9 Series

Lots of fixes have been implemented in this release
Nvidia has updated the Legacy branch of the Linux drivers and developers have fixed quite a few issues. This is a driver aimed at older hardware, so if you just got your shiny and new Titan video card, this driver will be of no use to you.

Spoiler: Nvidia 340.93 Changelog
- Fixed a bug that caused the X server to crash if an OpenGL application tried to allocate a drawable when GPU-accessible memory is exhausted.
- Fixed a bug that could cause an Xid error when terminating a video playback application using the overlay presentation queue in VDPAU.
- Updated nvidia-installer to avoid recursing too deeply into kernel source trees under /usr/lib/modules, mirroring an existing restriction on recursion under /lib/modules.
- Fixed a rare deadlock condition when running applications that use OpenGL in multiple threads on a Quadro GPU.
- Fixed a kernel memory leak that occurred when looping hardware- accelerated video decoding with VDPAU on Maxwell-based GPUs.
- Fixed a bug that caused the X server to crash if a RandR 1.4 output provided by a Sink Output provider was selected as the primary output on X.Org xserver 1.17 and higher.
- Fixed a bug that caused waiting on X Sync Fence objects in OpenGL to hang indefinitely in some cases.
- Fixed a bug that prevented OpenGL from properly recovering from hardware errors or sync object waits that had timed out.

I regularly check for driver updates with the Lenovo tool.  Recnetly, I've noticed that I have the following driver that's called for as an update: NVIDIA Display Driver (NVIDIA N16S / Quadro N16P) However, I've never successfully gotten it to install.  Finally I manually downloaded it and ran the install.  During the CMD window that scrolls by with details, I see these lines at the end: INFO: Did not install 'c:\drivers\win\nvidiagraphics\nvidia\display.driver\nvlt.inf' because it is not better than the current drivers.INFO: Returning with code 0x100 Does anyone have any thoughts or ideas why we keep getting these types of driver 'updates' when they're not actually updates? Thanks for you input in advance!

I've searched the forum and can't find anything listed with my current problem. In the recent Windows 10 updates I started having problems with the Quadro M2000M video driver. Every time I clicked on Windows Notifications my screen would flicker several times and the NVIDIA driver along with the Intel(R) HD Graphics P530 driver would fail. They would only work if I rebooted the computer. Both drivers would also fail if I let the computer go to sleep and later woke it up. It would also fail if I tried to run the built-in Pantone color calibration software. The most recent update (KB4512508) seems to cause the driver to fail automatically when I start. The welcome screen obviously loads with the proper drivers, flickers a few times then the two display adapters fail. I can only get the drivers to work properly by rolling back that most recent update, but I can't click on Windows Notification nor allow the computer to go to sleep or both drivers will fail. Has anyone else encountered this problem? If so, does anyone have any advice on how to fix the problem? I've loaded the latest drivers but that has not solved this issue.

Greetings all. I recently sold my Nvidia Quadro FX4000 256MB AGP graphics card on Ebay to a guy in Germany (I am in UK). Used the standard Ebay description tool which displayed it as PNY NVidia Quadro FX4000 256mb AGP card.

My question is: are there 2 varients of this card ie Nvidia and PNY? The guy is stating that I have sent him an Nvidia Card as opposed to a PNY card and is requesting a refund.

I sold the card in good faith (using the Ebay description tool) thinking that there was only one varient and the picture I took is exactly like the PNY varient too so I thought I was selling one in the same?

I would appreciate your views guys. I think maybe this guy is trying it on?

Many thanks.

I've read Quadro's are stable and highly recommended for CAD, etc workstations (not for gaming) and gaming cards are obviously better for gaming. I am looking to setup two separate dual output video cards in a new machine. It will be used primarily for streaming real time financial info/web surfing (no CAD nor any 3D modeling) with a secondary use of gaming (not important for me to run top games at top resolutions-average is fine). Should I look at getting Quadros or game cards. I am leaning toward the game cards like Nvidia 8600GT, etc as they are lower price and seems like if they can run games fast/no problem-why wouldn't they easily be able to handle business applications? Quadros seem to cost more and can mainly only be used for business apps?

A:Nvidia Quadro vs Nvidia gaming cards

Quadros are for Digital Content Creation and CAD purposes mainly. For you, a pair of 8600GTs would be fine.

I am going under the assumption that this page is right in telling me what the most up to date driver for my system is (I have a Quadro 1000M). Both Lenovo Vantage and System Update tell me there are no updates, and yet my most recent NVidia driver was from 2016 and several versions behind what the website says. No matter how many times I've downloaded and installed that package the driver stayed the same, so I gave up and used DDU to wipe the NVidia drivers out. Then I tried using the package again to install the driver and still it appears to do absolutely nothing regarding the NVidia Card. It doesn't appear under Device Manager. There's only an Intel HD Graphics 3000 and a Microsoft Basic Display Adapter. What am I doing wrong?

As JMH3143 suggests 4 of 6 of the original and these two all point to your video driver.  The two newest aren't driver verified but the evidence is accumulating that it is the video driver.
There newer drivers available that you should update to.
