Hopefully someone can advise and help. I purchased ( I'm in the UK), Microsoft Visio Premium 2010 through the employee home-use program. Unfortunately, I had to rebuild my PC from factory settings and lost MS Visio, I have no disk. I have the product code, but the download link I was given 2010 doesn't exist. I cant find anywhere a download link, can anyone please help.

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Dream on!

You're talking about converting a display format file, probably a raster based graphic, into a vector based file. I don't think that's going to happen.

I have installed and then reinstalled Microsoft Visio Web Viewer 2003 and still can't open .vsd files. I saved the .vsd file to my desktop. Afterwards, I opened Internet Explorer. Then I clicked Open in Internet Explorer, then pasted the file's address into the Explorer browser.

When I click ok, rather than an image of the file, I get a blank window with a small box with a red x in it. What am I doing wrong?

Please advise, thanks very much.

A customer of mine has Visio Professional 2007 and every day or so he gets the pop up wanting him to select either add or remove Features, Repair or Remove.  After doing the repair it works, but he keeps getting this.  I've removed the program

I needed to free up space on my C: drive, so I attempted to uninstall Microsoft Vision Standard 2007 -- but the uninstallation would not work using Add/Remove Programs. So, I hastily used the Windows Installer Clean Up Utility to remove it, which is appears to have done to some extent.

Problem: The program is still appearing in the Add/Remove programs pane, and it won't allow me to uninstall from there.

I've tried reinstalling Visio from the disc, but receive this error right before it quits:
"Microsoft Office Visio Standard 2007 encountered a problem during setup."

I don't want the program anymore, I'm just trying to remove all traces of it from my computer without causing further damage.

When I run Microsoft Office Diagnostics, I got this result:Setup Diagnostic ? Missing media

The Setup Diagnostic was not completed because a valid source was not found. Either the local installation source is missing, or the original source that was used to install Microsoft Office is not available to the repair process. You may need to provide the original source to allow this diagnostic to run successfully. Valid sources for the 2007 Office release include the following:

Your 2007 Office release installation CDAn installation disk or repair CD provided by the vendor of your computerA connection to a network installation of the 2007 Office release
After you obtain access to a valid source, run Office Diagnostics again.
Any help would be great,
Thanks!

Hi,

At work, we recently upgraded from Visio 2000 to Visio 2003.

Mistake. Big mistake. Huge.

Now, when we try to edit the graphics, we get the same types of problems that many other users have reported: lines don't connect; text is improperly kerned (spaced between letters); text appears lighter (medium gray) in print and on screen; some elements don't display.

Has anyone been successful at getting Visio 2000 images into Visio 2003 format without heavy image editing?

Visio files are received as attachments in Outlook 2016. Visio Viewer 2016 and IE11 are also installed on Windows 10 (1607).
Previewing the Visio file (VSD in this case) is successful. However, when you try to open the Visio file, IE11 attempts to open it (as expected) but only displays a blank page.
Does anyone know if there is a fix for this issue?   Other articles suggest that Visio Viewer 2016 does not support IE11.

Hello Forum.

I am new to Visio and I am using the Microsoft Visio trial for the first time.

I am used to other drawing progrms but Visio does not work like other programs.

I have so far managed to put little boxes on a drawing area.

But I don't know how to do simple things like resize the object. It would help if I could change the cursor so that it is a pointer again. Instead it seems to be expecting me to add text.

You have to click on the pointer tool it looks like a mouse pointer icon, another tool tou might use is the connector tool, it will let you continously drag lines between shapes and connect to the handles.

Hi,

Microsoft Office Visio, how do i print one page 4 times on the same page, so 4 smaller versions?

Thanks

Arron

A:MS Visio

The option to print 4 copies to one page is a property (or limitation) of the printer and the driver installed on your computer. When you choose print from the file menu, it opens a dialog box where you can change the settings. Some advanced print drivers allow you to change the setup or page options. Look for page layout and see if you have a setting to allow for # of pages per sheet(ie. four pages per sheet layout). Hope this helps.

No, it's not part of Office and you'll need to buy it separably.

Hiya

This session will show just how powerful VisioŽ 2000 is for developers. On one side, it allows the developer to perform tasks like visually design a database or application and reverse engineer databases and Visual Basic projects. On the other side, it is also possible to use VisioŽ as a component in your client solution by extending the Visio environment. This allows creating some really interesting user interfaces for complex data.

I click my drawing object, and my cropping tool is engaged, but I can't remove the extra space around the jagged edge so that the picture appears jagged as it should when superimposed onto another picture. Instead, it has a straight edge...the shape of the Visio drawing placeholder...in other words the picture actually covers a rectangular area when placed on top of another picture, instead of the actual shape of the drawing. Help?

So I'm currently working on a network map and was wondering if anyone had advice on how to best create a network map on Windows Visio. I'm looking to map out each room within the network on a separate tab within it and link each connection through the tabs so it will flip to the specified connection on that tab. In total it is approximately 15 rooms, 30 Windows based OS machines, 20 LaserJet printers routed through ExtendNet printer (hubs or routers I think, not 100% sure, ethernet cable goes in one end, parallel cable comes out the other) and a few switches and patch panels in racks in the larger offices. In essence I was hoping someone, anyone had ideas of how to make it easy to navigate the visual I'm setting up as well as functional and possibly even aesthetically appealing. (Although that last part is not necessary I want to try and make it look nice to impress my boss.)

Hi,
Im using Visio to create ERD diagrams for university.

I create the entities and the attributes, assign primary keys etc.

I then click on the relationship button and drag it across.

I have two questions/problems.
How do i get the lines to go from the primary key in one table to the foreign key in another?
Currently it just links the whole entities, not just the attributes which are linked.

For example i have two tables with staff id in them. I want the relationship lines to start end at the word staff id, currently it just joins the two boxes and adds PK, FK1 or whatever to the left hand side.

Secondly i want the crows feet to show up as the end type, to represent a one to many relationship.
When i right click, go on format then line, i choose crows feet (three branches) as the end type.
I click apply then ok, but the lines dont change, they just stay the same.
I sent the file to my friend and he says it doesnt work for any of the start/end types.

Any ideas whats wrong with Visio?
The program was not bought, as a student studying networks i can download legal versions of software to help with my course, from small applications to big ones such as operating systems.
Just wondering if that has anything to do with it?
Thanks.

There's usually 2 radio buttons below the agreement, but above the Next buttons, and you need to tick one for "I Agree" or "I Disagree". Once one is ticked, then the Next button will be activated.

If you tick "I Disagree" then the installation will be aborted!

When we have tried to install Visio 2000 on WIN2K PCs, it crashes the achine and we have to reinstall the OS. Obviously we do not try to re-install Visio. Has anyone seen this? We have Novell and have learned to rename the mfc42.dll before the visio install as Novell has altered the damn file and visio simply overwrites it. But this is different and more deadly. If someone forgets to rename the file first we can fix it with the console mode repair.

So I began making a large network diagram in three separate pieces.

I was going to just print them all out and tape them together for the time being and at a later date if a plotter became available, combine them all into one document and plot them.

So I am trying to combine them and I have 3 documents....I created a new drawing and pasted the others into it. 1 of them was fine but the other two were out of scale, they were huge. So I did some poking around and found that under file->page setup
the Drawing Scale option is set on those two to 1 inch = 10 inches.

If I change it back to 1 to 1, everything gets huge and the text gets tiny.
In the 2 documents where the scale is 1to10 they look fine, everything is lined up correctly the text is the right size etc etc....

any ideas how I can combine all 3 of these documents and not have any scale issues?

Hello folks.

Okay, this might be really simple, or incredibly difficult. I'll explain the best I can.

I have a background picture of an office map in Visio 2010. Out of courtesy to my office, I want to make a map that will update in accordance to the information listed on an Access Database.

Basically, I want to insert text boxes onto the map picture and have them display information on/in an Access Database file that contains information about the computer at that particular location in the office. The Access Database is very basic (names, phone numbers, etc) and the pictures don't have to be super complex.

Any ideas/easy ways to do this? I'm a complete newbie when it comes to Visio but I've been playing around with it for a little while so I know how to do some things.

Hello I use Visio to illustrate my family tree. I realise it is a peculiar way to use it but it works for me, or has until recently. I use it on an elderly laptop which is on XP service pack 2 and have no problems. I recently had to update my XP desktop to service pack three and among the assorted problems that brought was the fact now every time I try to open a hyperlink I get an Office message saying the file might be insecure and do I really want to open it. How do I tell Visio these files are OK? Or how do I shut off the message. I is really frustrating as it displays this message EVERY time and I have several trees with over a hundred on folk on them. I have looked at Visio security and put that on low but it didn't help. I wondered if you can switch something off in Office as it is on my computer but I don't use it. I use Open Office for my word processing needs. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you
