Hey! i have lenovo yoga 500 isk and the touch screen is not working. I saw some topics where the device manager was mentioned however i do not have hid touch screen option there. Do you have any solution? Thanks

I recommend downloading and running DAP. It can help sort out any driver and firmware related issues on your system

It's worked out well for many of us in the past.

Welcome to Lenovo Forums.
Please run the Hardware and devices trouble-shooter:
Try the followings steps: ? Click "Search" and type "Troubleshooting" without quotes and hit enter. ? Click ?Hardware and Sound? ? Select "Hardware and Devices" ? Click next to run the trouble-shooter.

Also, Install all the patches and available updates from Windows updates.

Try the followings steps: Click "Search" and type "Windows update settings" without quotes and hit enter. Under Updates click on check for updates.

Hi All, i just purchased a brand new Thinkpad Yoga X1 and out of the box the touchscreen isn't recognized by windows and neither input via fingers nor via pen works. I would greatly appreciate it, if anyone could tell me if it's just some wrong settings or if the laptop is faulty. Thank you in advance,Torben

Welcome Torben1. You could first try to run Lenovo System Update to see if there is any updates.2. If no updates or problem persist after updates, contact Tech Support.

Hi All, So I've had this aesthetically pleasing yoga 3 pro for about a month with the purpose for it to be used as a Uni Laptop.  However I've come across a few issues that I am hoping I can get some help with. Firstly, I've lost all ability to use the touchscreen. Windows Device Managers is seeing it, but I have no way to enable/disable or test. Is there something I am missing? Secodly, through basic use I am finding the CPU and RAM usage well in excess of 80% for a lot of the time, with the system coming to a near grinding halt if I have approximately a dozen chrome tabs open, a couple of office docs and youtube or spotify running....this is a little worrying. Specification wise the laptop should be able to run the with very little hassle. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hello, My Lenovo Yoga 720 13's touchscreen seems to not work with finger input. However, the touchscreen still responds when connected to the compatible Bamboo Smart Pen I have for this laptop. When accessing device manager, the Device status for HID-compliant touch screen, HID-compliant pen, and Wacom Pen seem to be working correctly. Hi all,  I have bought 2 weeks ago an Lenovo Yoga 2 13, and I?m very happy with it. But i have one annoying problem with it.The touchscreen is not working correct. If I start the computer up, the first 5 minutes it works fine, but after that the touchscreen is not responding correct, the pointer is going everywhere and zig zag. You can't use it anymore then. I have made a paint drawing to show the problem, i made a few horizontal lines over the screen. none of the lines are straightI hope that you can help me to resolve the problem, it?s very annoying that I can?t use the touchscreen.

Hi Everyone! I just go my hands on a Lenovo Thinkpad Yoga 12 touchscreen laptop with an included digitizer.I am experiencing a weird thing with the touchsreen. (It is the full HD version with the digitizer and 10 point touch capabilities)Basically the bottom part (like 5cm from the bottom) of the touchscreen is not responsive until I touch the middle or upper part of the screen. After touching the screen somewhere else the bottom part becomes responsive again.Have you ever experienced such problem?I am currently on Windows 10 Pro and I completely updated all my drivers and also reinstalled everything including Windows but the problem still occurs.Any help would be highly appreciated!

Recently the touchscreen on my Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro stopped working. It is running Windows 10 and the most recent update it received was KB890830. I am getting an error code 10 for the I2C HID device ("A request for the HID descriptor failed"), but when I try to update it, I get a message saying it is already up to date. Disabling and re-enabling hasn't worked and I cannot find the driver on the lenovo website to do a fresh install. Any suggestions to solve this problem would be greatly appreciated.

My Lenovo was purchased back in 2015, so the warrenty is expired. Still, up until recently the touchscreen had been working fine. Now, no matter what mode it is in, it doesn't detect my touch. I have gone through every Google-searched solution I could find, none have worked.I have gone to device manager, checked the drivers for updates (they are up to date) but the window doesnt allow me to Disable/Enable the driver. I've used the lenovo website, the companion app and my windows control panel to check for updates but no changes to the touch screen. Running Windows 10 (64x) Solutions, or links to other form posts are appreciated.

Just today, the touchscreen on my Yoga Plus stopped working. I have tried everything, including reinstalling drivers, but I just get the message "driver is not intended for this platform." Can anyone help? I love this PC, it's great, I am just really disappointed Lenovo support doesn't seem to do what it promises. Thanks very much!

I have a Lenovo Yoga 710 14 " Signature Edition 2-in-1 PC- bought it two days ago. W10. I have problems with the touchscreen when using it as a tablet. The touchscreen is working perfectly when it's in PC mode. Once I fold it and putting it flat (down at the table etc.)- the screen is no longer responding. It's like the touchscreen function is shuting off somehow. Anyone knows how to solve this?? Thanks

Hi everybody, I just purchased the Lenovo Yoga home 900 and cannot manage to turn on the touchscreen function.Is there even such a function to turn off/on or is it just my device that isn't working properly? I'm thankful for any advice and hope this will be fixable in a minute

I want to confirm you are talking about the 27" All-in-one PC.  There is no "off" button. It should always work.  Look in the device manager and see if there are any problem devices.

Hey there, I recenently got one of the Lenovo Notebooks of the Yogaseries, which exactly it is, is stated in the title. However, since yesterday I never had any problems with it, I really like it, the convertible function etc., but it seems, that my display registeres touches Im not applying, it touches like everywhere over my screen and I dont even have my hands on the computer. When I restart it or install the touchpad driver from the supportsection for my notebook, it is okay for like 10 mins and then it goes all over again. I found an interesting solution for a similar problem, its in this thread: https://support.lenovo.com/de/de/documents/SF15-I0024 I have literally the same issue, problem is, the fix which is downloadable there, seems to only work for panels from LG, I figured out the hardware ID from my IPS panel, but I cant figure out where its factured or where I can get a fix for this issue. We recently purchased a batch of Yoga 260's.  We wiped them and installed Windows 10 Pro from scratch.  The touchscreen no longer functions.  There is an unknown device in Device Manager and the HID touchscreen driver is missing.  So I assume I need the Touchscreen driver but Lenova is unable to tell me where it is.  This is our first experience with Lenovo support and it has been horrible thus far.  It shouldn't be that hard to find a driver.  Can anyone tell me where it is located?  It is not on the support site. Thanks

Hello I bought a Yoga X1 last year and it was working fine until about 3 weeks ago. For unknown reasons - possibly because of some Windows 10 update or because I installed a "nightly built" of the VLC video player the touchscreen stopped working. Windows 10 could not find a driver anymore (claiming that the driver it found is not suitable for this version of windows or womething like that). Same happened with the Lenovo driver for the device from the Lenovo website. I always hat the device marked yellow and "not working properly" in the device manager. I finally found in a forum aomeone pointing to a different driver for the Xoga X1's Wacom device and installed it. Now it shows up in the Device manager without Problems, but I still have no touch functionality. I deinstalled VLC alread and updated Win 10 again - still no luck. do I need some additional driver to connect the device that is recognized in the Device manager with Windows 10 somehow? Or activate it? I booted from a USB rescue stick for Win 10 and there the touch functionality was ok - so its not a hardware issue! Thank you.

Hi,since a few weeks the touchscreen stopped working, when flipping the display down, to use the yoga as touchpad and flipping it back. After flipping it back, it didn't work anymore. I always needed to reboot to get the touchscreen working again. Therefore I installed all the updates and driverupdates that were available from the lenovo website. Now the touchscreen doesn't work anymore at all. What can I do to get the touch screen working again. My notebook is still very new, I bought it 1-2 month ago. I have lenovo flex 15 with windows 8. I bought it in 2013.. I dont know when did my touchscreen started to not working as i seldomly use it.. When i check my device manager, there is no"PC and tablet" section.. No "touchsreen device" in "mice ànd other pointing device" too (as i read some suggest to uninstall that device and restart to make the touchscreen work again. But unfortunately i dont have it. So this method is not applicable to me). While in "Human interface device" there are 9 "HID-compliance device " (which i do not know what it is" and also 4 "HID-compliance consumer control device". I tried uninstall them all and restart but my touchscreenstill not working and the HIDs thing appeared there again.. I dont know what to do..please help me with any possible solutions???

I've had my ideapad (flex 15 20309) for about 2 years and was working fine. Around 5 months ago I noticed my touchscreen wouldn't work any more. Sometimes after a reboot it would seem to come back to life but now I can't figure out what is going on. I seem to have Microsoft Windows 10 home as the operating system. I can't find any setting or keystroke or anything that can get my touchscreen back to life. Help! My touchpad (mousepad) works fine and I'm using a USB mouse as well because I don't like using the mousepad. The only thing I think has changed in the last 5 or 6 months was probably windows 10 and the regular updates that are done via windows 10.

 SOme info about the laptop. Product Name: Sleekbook HP Pavilion 14-f004lOperating System: Microsoft Windows 8 (64-bit) I've had this problem a couple times already. The touchscreen stops working sporadically and the only way to make it work again is installing the  AUO Touchscreen Firmware/ sp63116.exe driver from this site. however this last time I've run into quite the weird problem. The installer DOES THE SAME THINGRestored the BIOS. The installer DOES THE SAME THING So please, do not tell me to restore the laptop. I've done it already. Doesn't work. Same thing for the BIOS. Nothing. Can anyone help me? Thank you

So I've had this happen countless times. The touchscreen stops working. The laptop is in perfect conditions. The screen, not even a scratch. I format the laptop, it still doesn' work. So, I've always fixed it by installing the AUO Touchscreen Firmware/ sp63116.exe from:http://support.hp.com/mx-es/drivers/selfservice/hp-pavilion-14-f000-sleekbook/5375393/model/5403360#... My problem atm is that this time, that process isn't working. The installer opens, installs the thing, then the program opens and immediately closes. This prompts windows to ask me if the driver installed correctly or that if it should attempt to install under a compatibility mode. No matter which I choose, it still does the same thing. It won't stay open for more than 1 second.  I've restored my laptop to factory presets a couple times already and the touchscreen isn't working yet because the driver/program/wizard thingy refuses to stay open after it is done installing.Can anybody help me? Perhaps share a different version of the installer? Thank you.

A friend of mine brought his Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga 11E touch - by today because after he did a "clean install of windows 10 Pro. his touchscreen is no longer working...I've just spent the last 2 hrs. installing the "lenovo" drivers and software packages...But can't seem to located the HID touchscreen drivers or any documentation to support the touchscreen on the "Lenovo" site...I've also tried all the "lenovo" whiz bang apps the fix this issue...Does anyone have this model: Intel Celeron N2930 (2.16 GHz),8GB RAM,128GB Solid State Drive,11.6in 1366x768 Touchscreen LCD,Intel 802.11agn wireless,4c Li-Ion,Win8.1 Pro 64 - (Lenovo's description of this PC) that has been able to get the touchscreen working post windows 10 install? Or a link to the correct drivers for the touchscreen? Or could Lenovo support maybe point to these packages so I can get this thing working as marketed...

Hi, can someone confirm that all Yoga 720 models work with a Lenovo Active Pen? The only model that's sold with a pen is $600 more expensive than the next most expensive model (with basically the same spec minus the pen). Given that a pen isn't anywhere near $600, it gives me concern that the rest of the models (without an included pen) won't work with a pen that could be purchased separately. Thanks.

 I am so frusterated, I am one more issue away from trading my Lenovo Yoga in for a MAC. I also don't understand why Lenovo does not have an easy to reach support line but rather you have to go through emails and forums. Anyways my VGA to USB C adapter doesn't work so I can't connect to an external monitor. The adapter does not need a driver, it's plug and play. I tried changing the resolution of the laptop to be compatible with the monitor and it didn't help. The monitor I have is DELL U2412M which should be compatible and worked fine with my old Lenovo laptop. Help with this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!Nina

Hi, I have just Recived a YOGA 710. From first time Keyboard backlight does not work. I have try to reinstall power mangement interface from Lenovo.com, energy setting, and energy saving, reinstall mouse and keyboard drivers...Factory reset, and enable/disable Hot keys neither works.Bur cap lock key has backlight, space bar  and Fn Keys work fine.And of course space bar has backlight symbol. Any idea?

When I tried to connect, the connection works for a while, but after a time I receive the message "Video Data not compatible" ("Datos de Vídeo no compatibles" in Spanish). Of course I instaled the newest drivers for the notebook and the last firmware of the TV. Any help will be appreciated. My laptop came with the intel 3165ac.  I upgraded to a BCM94530ZAE, which is working.  I want to know if I can change to the BCM94352Z Lenovo FRU 04x6020.  The BCM94350ZAE Lenovo FRU 00jt493 that I have now doesn't support what I'm trying to do but the BCM94352Z does. Thanks!

Sometimes when I login to my computer, the touch screen will not work at all. Even when I search for touch screen calibration, it does not show up. But if I close the laptop and reset it, it'll work fine. It's incredibly annoying to have to reset it everytime and it can't be good for the computer, right? How do I fix this?

My audio driver does not work, it only works when I reinstall it, but this is temporary. After I restart it, it will stop working again. Yes, it is my default device. Yes, I've tried plugging earphones in 100 times in and out. I contacted support about this. When he told me it was not covered by warranty, I told him I knew this, I did not want warranty. but surely there was some guidance or steps they could tell i could do, but no. So if anyone can help me out here, and its been a few months of no sound so apologies if I come across as an angry nut, but I am fed up with support. Thanks for reading/ answering

Hi all,Recently bought the Lenovo Yoga S1 (20CD) 2-in-1 laptop.I was wondering if anybody knows whether it will work with a stylus? And if so, is there a specific brand of stylus it would work with?I have tried it with a Medion writing pad stylus and a Panasonic tough book stylus, and it doesn't work.It has a "dummy" stylus on the bottom right corner.I'm wondering whether certain models simply do not work with a stylus (even though the touch screen works).Any suggestions or advice is much appreciated

Hey there, Just had an cracked screen on my Yoga 2 Pro and paid for a replacement. As the screen was cracked, I had to disable the HID-compliant touch screen in my device manager because otherwise I couldn't use the Yoga 2 Pro at all - because of the crack it was like touches like everywhere on the screen at the same time, but I was able to disable it in "device manager". Yesterday, my screen has been changed and everything works fine - except the "touch function"! If I rotate my Yoga 2 Pro nothing happens, too. If I open the device manager, my HID-compliant touch screen is not visibile. If I press "show hidden devices" and select the HID-compliant touch screen (it is shown then), it is listed as "not connectet" - error code 45. But the screen itself is working. If I search for drivers, it says everything is fine. But the HID-compliant touch screen is not connected...?! How in the world I can tell my Yoga 2 Pro that there is a touch function in my new screen?! So, I am a little confused about what to do with it! How I can start my HID-compliant touch screen again? Thanks for every hint!! And excuse me for my bad English!!

Hey there, Just had an cracked screen on my Yoga 2 Pro and paid for a replacement. As the screen was cracked, I had to disable the HID-compliant touch screen in my device manager because otherwise I couldn't use the Yoga 2 Pro at all - because of the crack it was like touches like everywhere on the screen at the same time, but I was able to disable it in "device manager". Yesterday, my screen has been changed and everything works fine - except the "touch function"! If I rotate my Yoga 2 Pro nothing happens, too. If I open the device manager, my HID-compliant touch screen is not visibile. If I press "show hidden devices" and select the HID-compliant touch screen (it is shown then), it is listed as "not connectet" - error code 45. But the screen itself is working. If I search for drivers, it says everything is fine. But the HID-compliant touch screen is not connected...?! How in the world I can tell my Yoga 2 Pro that there is a touch function in my new screen?! So, I am a little confused about what to do with it! How I can start my HID-compliant touch screen again? Thanks for every hint!! And excuse me for my bad English!!

I'm running the latest version of Windows 10 (Anniversary Update - Build 14393.693) clean installed on  a Yoga 2 Pro (20266 / 80AY) BIOS 76CN43WW. The "Lenovo Yoga  Mode Control" version 2.0.0.9 (ymc.exe) has consistently crashed every day for the last few months. Crash reports are logged. Are there any plans to fix this issue any time soon? Best Regards,

Since you have to hunt around different Lenovo sites (and other sites) to find out about these softwares, I decided to make a post to get feedback from actual Yoga owners on how these programs interact, what they do, which ones are prerequisite, and which ones are unnecessary. Please don't take this as a blanket answer. This is just what I have found. It might be right - it might be wrong. I'm looking for others to post their experiences as well. Lenovo System Interface Foundation Driver - Necessary prerequisite (missing driver in device manager without it). It allows the Lenovo Utility and Lenovo Companion to work. Lenovo Yoga Mode Control - Necessary if you want to use your yoga to seemlessly change between all the different modes (laptop, tablet, tent, stand). This software is responsible for autorotating and putting Windows into tablet mode. Lenovo Utility - Recommended(?) This one I'm not too sure on. I remember that I was missing some function that I wanted but I can't remember what it was now. Maybe battery cycle count and health? Lenovo Companion - I don't have this one installed and don't think it's necessary but would like someone else to shed some light here.

Why OneKey Recovery does not work after installing latest update of windows 10? I have updated windows today (14 Oct 2017). I think the latest version of windows 10 has been installed on my laptop now. After installing this latest version of windows 10, I am unable to make system backup using pre-installed OneKey Recovery Software in my Lenovo Yoga500 14ISK laptop. An another issue is I found a windows.old folder in my system drive which is using approximately 15 GB. It is a very disturbing thing to me. It is appearing after installing the updates. Can anybody help me with the above issues. Thanks in advance. Sincerely,Rubel Ahmed
