I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Please download AdwCleaner by Xplode and save to your Desktop.Double click on AdwCleaner.exe to run the tool.Vista/Windows 7/8 users right-click and select Run As Administrator.Click on the Scan button.AdwCleaner will begin...be patient as the scan may take some time to complete. After the scan has finished, click on the Report button...a logfile (AdwCleaner[R0].txt) will open in Notepad for review.Click on the Clean button.Press OK when asked to close all programs and follow the onscreen prompts.Press OK again to allow AdwCleaner to restart the computer and complete the removal process. After rebooting, a logfile report (AdwCleaner[S0].txt) will open automatically.Copy and paste the contents of that logfile in your next reply.A copy of all logfiles are saved in the C:\AdwCleaner folder which was created when running the tool.-- Note: The contents of the log file may be confusing. Unless you see a program name that you know should not be removed, don't worry about it. If you see an entry you want to keep, return to AdwCleaner before cleaning...all detected items will be listed (and checked) in each tab. Click on each one and uncheck any items you want to keep (except you cannot uncheck Chrome and Firefox preferences lines).    Please download Junkware Removal Tool and save it to your Desktop.Close all open programs and shut down any protection/security software now to avoid potential conflicts.Double-click on JRT.exe to run the tool.Vista/Windows 7/8 users right-click and select Run As Administrator. The tool will open and start scanning your system. Please be patient as this can take a while to complete depending on your system's specifications. On completion, a log file named JRT.txt will automatically open and be saved to your Desktop.Copy and paste the contents of JRT.txt in your next reply.

Hi soule2souleSorry for the delay in response to your thread. Please take note of the following:1. Please do not run any other tools unless instructed.2. The cleaning process is not instant. Please continue to review my answers until I tell you that your computer is clean.3. If there's anything that you don't understand, please ask your question(s) before proceeding with the fixes.4. Please reply to this thread. Do not start a new topic.I see from your other thread that it was suggested that you may have a 'Zero Access' infection..... let's check for that.Step 1Please disable Windows Defender... it is known to interfere with our fixes.Normally Avast would have disabled this when installed as it may conflict.Click Start >> Programs >> Windows Defender or launch from the system tray icon.Click on Tools & Settings >> Options.Under Real-time protection options, uncheck the "Real-time protection" check box.Click Save.Go to Start >> Control Panel >> Security >> Windows Defender, at the bottom of the Window Defenders page uncheck under Administrator Options "use Windows Defender" and then Save.RecommendationI am reading some unfavourable things about Anvi Smart Defender plus it may well conflict with the rest of your security.I recommend this is uninstalled.Step 2For x32 bit systems download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your Desktop. <<<< ImportantDouble-click the downloaded icon to run the tool. When the tool opens click... Let me begin by saying that I am NOT experienced with computers, and that I have been blessed with two preteens that love to play games on the internet and download random crap that has led me here. I was having problemswith Google Chrome, and wanted to switch to Firefox. I uninstalled Chrome but when attempting to download Firefox, I was "told" that my computer was incompatable. (It's an old Vista piece of crap) so I reinstalled Chrome. When it was finished, I realized that when I got online, three tabs opened, one for Chrome, one a new tab, and the third was Delta Search. I'm always careful to read everything before downloading anything, because theres always a hidden toolbar or something else that I don't want. Now, I've gone into the control panel, don't see anything related to Delta or Yontoo, went to Internet Explorer to manage add ons, that didn't work...it just won't go away! what to do, what to do? Any advice will be helpful!!!

Hi,
Did any one know how to get infected with toolbars and browser hijacker ? because I tried to download a few sample of them but none of them work, my last try today i downloaded unlocker because i read here that it came bundled with the delta search but again no infection, my browsers (Chrome, Edge, Firefox ) remain clean, I tested the unlocker in VMware environment , windows 10 , with no antivirus or anti-malware installed.
so any one have idea how to get infected !!
Thank you.

A:unlocker and delta

@thegeekaid: You want to be infected? Well go to the third party download repository like CNET, Brothersoft and others where installer contains numerous bundled toolbars or possible PUP.

+ You may explore on our Malware Hub section for Adware based.

Using Win98. Loaded CD that came with Mb which says system not compatible and lists Win98SE but not Win98. Modem is not found. Monitor is limited to 16colors. I was not aware of any Win98Se requirement for this Mb when I bought it. Is there a fix for Win98 that would allow the driver for this Mb?

Hello TSF,

I am having this irritating problem that didn't even get fixed after reinstalling windows, well it simply reappeared immediately, I am not sure which program is possibly causing this since I didn't notice the problem after installing any specific program.
The browsers keep on changing its homepage to this site:-

removed link

I uninstalled some programs that I couldn't identify also the shortcuts keep on changing targets to:-

"C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" removed link

And for firefox:-

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" removed link

It happens a lot (I keep changing the homepage back and removing the link from the target) I use firefox all the time and sometimes the browser simply closes and changes the homepage to delta-homes.

I even typed this thread twice o.o

I hope you could find a permanent solution and a way to prevent this.

Hi everyone,I'm in need of some help.I have just built a new pc using an msi k7n2 delta,xp 2600+barton and 512mb ddr 2700 memory plus the norm. The problem I have is that ican only run at 133 mhz.If i change to 166mhz in the bios, the system just crashes. If anyone has any ideas I would be greatful.
thanks,
Joey

A:msi k7n2 delta

Check your cooling and temperatures. At 166Mhz, the CPU will be running hotter and may be crashing. Also, if have more than one stick of RAM, then try one stick at a time - one could be faulty.

Is the RAM Kingston by chance? You may need a BIOS update.

Hi, I play Delta Force Task Force Dagger, but my problem lies with trying to play the game on two of my computers simultaneously on my home network. I have three computers hooked up to a Linksys BEFSR41 router. All with Windows XP. All I want to do is be able to play on the net with at least two of my computers. It will let me for about 15 minutes, but then will crash both computers off the server. I have tried DMZ'ing one of the computers and have also tried port triggering and forwarding using 17478. Ive been playing with this problem for over 6 months now and now im fed up with it. Any help would be much appreciated.

Do you have two copies of the game? If not it could be that Novalogic sees two PCs using the same copy of the game and therefor boots you.

Click on this link to download : ADWCleaner Click on the Download Now button and save it to your desktop.

NOTE: If using Internet Explorer and you get an alert that stops the program downloading click on Tools > Smartscreen Filter > Turn off Smartscreen Filter then click on OK in the box that opens. Then click on the link again.

Close your browser and double click on this icon on your desktop:

You will then see the screen below, click on the Scan button (as indicated), accept any prompts that appear and allow it to run, it may take several minutes to complete, when it is done click on the Clean button, accept any prompts that appear and allow the system to reboot. You will then be presented with the report, Copy & Paste it into your next post.

Pretty amateur at computers, and have tried googling to see how to it, but not worked. When I switch on computer, instead of going to my email page in outlook, it goes to a site called delta-homes, and although I change back to outlook as my home page, still goes back to delta-homes. I run Mcfee, and it keeps warning of dangerous site and I accept prompt to close it, but keeps coming back.

Ok, I have a K7N2 Delta-L mobo and love msi. I was checking on kingston memory for this board and didn't find any listing on their web site so I called those fine folks.
They stated that they don't support that board with their memory because the Nforce chipset is not stable. Has anyone had any troubles with that? Would love to hear your thoughts.

Thanks...
Chad

A:K7N2 Delta-L

The Nforce2 boards are a little rough on memory at default settings in dual channel mode, the fix for this is just to bump the vdimm voltage up one notch.

As far as being unstable, the tech who told you this is out of his gourd.

Hello all,

I made a download at a sight that I knew was questionable... yeah, I know better.  I don't know if this is only the toolbar or an infection.  I can't find it in Uninstall a program and doesn't show up in a search.  Could someone please inform me how to determine what this is and how to get rid of it.

Thanks,

Dan

Edit:  I downloaded and ran AdwCleaner, it's gone.

A:Delta Search

Hi Dan that's what I was going to say.. Also clean your Temp folder Please download TFC (Temp File Cleaner) by Old Timer and save it to your desktop.alternate download linkSave any unsaved work. TFC will close ALL open programs including your browser!Double-click on TFC.exe to run it. If you are using Vista, right-click on the file and choose Run As Administrator.Click the Start button to begin the cleaning process and let it run uninterrupted to completion.TFC will clear out all temp folders for all user accounts (temp, IE temp, Java, FF, Opera, Chrome, Safari), including Administrator, All Users, LocalService, NetworkService, and any other accounts in the user folder.Important! If TFC prompts you to reboot, please do so immediately. If not prompted, manually reboot the machine anyway to ensure a complete clean.Note: It is normal for the computer to be slow to boot after running TFC cleaner the first time.

What should your TD be from intake to CPU temp? I am getting about 13 degrees C. Not high temps but at 28C room I am getting 41c idle. Now if I walk away and really go idle I'll walk into a 36c temp. I do have brand new this morning arctic silver and I realize I can expect about a 4-5c drop over the next few days. You guys think I am OK? If not I'll scrape it off and try again. Tks, Scott

Just recently my homepage is hijaced by http://www.delta-homes.com/?utm_source=b&utm_medium=newgdp&from=newgdp&uid=FUJITSUXMHY2250BH_K41LT852BW9VT852BW9VX&ts=1373007821 in all my browsers. Tried everything I possibly know how to. adwcleaner, roguekiller, combofix etc. And the problem still presists. Can anyone out there help please.

A:How to remove delta-homes.com ???? Please help.

I had the same problem. I changed the settings of my browser (I use Google Chrome for the record). I changed my homepage into Google.com and changed my default search engine into Google as well. I also deleted every other homepage and every other search engine that was listed in my settings, so that only Google was left.

After that, I deleted Chrome from my computer. I fired up Internet Explorer and installed Chrome again. After that, my homepage problem was gone. As you might see when you fire up Internet Explorer, the delta-homes is probably still there as your homepage, so it only worked at my Chrome browser. And the steps I took were really simple, without having to install any cleaners or something like that, so this solution most likely is a temporary one with the virus/plug-in/(whatever) still on the computer. However, untill you get any answers to remove it for good, this is probably a good solution.

If there's anything about this post that doesn't make sence, please say so. I'm no computer expert either but this is what worked for me (I did it 30 minutes ago and everything is still good,no weird homepage/searching engine).

Computer will not boot - totally dead. Have removed the PSU and would like to check if all the connections are working. When the PSU is plugged into the mains and I use my Multi Meter to see what items give a reading I do get some show ,either 5v or 2v from some of the connections. Can anyone advise me if I should get a reading from all the wires which come out of the PSU or only some of them. If some of them, is there anyway of finding out which should give a voltage reading and which should not. For example, I cannot get any reading from the power connectors for the CD Drive or the Hard Drive or the feed to the mother board.

Any help wopuld be appreciated.

A:Solved: Delta DPS 200PB 138 C PSU

You can follow this video guide :-

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ac7YMUcMjbw

This sort of test isn't perfect though because there is little load on the outputs of the PSU whereas there will be a load when it's connected in a PC. If any voltages are wrong or missing the PSU is faulty but even if they are all present and correct the PSU could still be the problem.

In other words it will tell you if it's faulty but not if it works perfectly.

EDIT : as explained at the end of the video the minus 5 Volts output could be missing, this is fine because it was only used with very old ISA add-on cards which are practically antiques now.

I've been gaming for a few months and pretty much just played Half-Life & Unreal Tournament on my LAN. Last weekend some buddies wanted to play DFII so we loaded it onto all the comps and made a CD for each. Also, we downloaded the latest updates for it. Well, we couldn't get them to play a LAN game. Has anyone else experienced any problems w/ this? We ended up just setting up a password game online and joining in on that. But, that's sort of a round about way of doing a game when all the computers are right there and networked together.

Any thoughts on this? Comments? Suggestions?

Hi
Got a situation were my msi k7n2 delta2 locks up . I built a mce 2005 using this mb/ I have a amd 2600 mobile and 1gb corsair value ram, gpu is a nvidia 6600gs,in a thermal take bach case.
This is the second msi board,1st one got rma replaced. Same issue. Installed latest drivers and bios. 1st thought it was os or hd, tried hd in another machine ,no prob. Than thought maybe a conflict w/a start up program so I started alimninating those to no avail.
This thing locks up after post and into the greeting screen90% of the time ,have to hit reset several times to get it to the point were it makes it thru the greeting. The rest of the time it just locks up when it feels like it . (my red headed stepchild)
Thought it might be issue w/vfd disconnected that same story. Ihave no issues w the media center part ,thing records fine w/no prob. It's getting there thats the prob.
Hope some one has experienced this and found a salution other than getting a diff m/b as socket a mbs are getting scarce.
Your assistance in this matter is appreciated
