I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

I have a Yoga X380 (LJ model) which I'm trying to get to display 4k ([email protected]) on my Iiyama GB2888UHSU monitor via HDMI (if possible).  I read the specifications of the laptop and I know that via the built-in HDMI it can't do 60hz, but manages only 30hz.  I know I have to use the Thunderbolt/USB-C port and indeed I can, and have, but only at 30hz.   I know the monitor only has a single HDMI port (Port 1) which can do this refresh rate, that's what I'm using. I have tried a couple of dongles (but not the Lenovo one, coming on to that!) and verified my HDMI cable and dongle by using a PC and my Galaxy S9 - both happily display [email protected] no problem at all via the same monitor port, cable & dongle that won't do 60hz via the Yoga) .   Regardless of what I do I can't get the Yoga to do it.  The mode is available but when I select it I get "no signal" and then the display reverts back to @30hz when it times out and the setting isn't confirmed. I know the Thunderbolt port can do this, way more than this actually.  Indeed there is a listed compatible Lenovo USB-C to HDMI dongle (Part 4X90R61022 - https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/gb/en/solutions/PD500273).  The specification claims this supports the required 3840*[email protected]  Why have I not purchased this yet you ask?  Well, I got the laptop with a USB-C charger (work device) so I don't have another USB-C port to use (until I buy a dock ... Hi Lenovo Community, I'm facing pretty strange CPU Performance problems on the X380 Yoga with i7-8550U CPU. The CPU performance becomes very bad after some operating time. I understand the X380 has a limited cooling capacity, but this behaviour is pretty strange. Environment: X380 Yoga, i7-8550U, 16GB Memory, 512GB SSD, Windows 10 1703 Enterprise, SCCM Driver Package used for image building and installation. Bios Version 1.14 installed (most recent one). Drivers are all checked, and are the most recent version. Speed Step Settings in Bios are on Max Performance, on OS also on Max performance. Running Standard Office applications, like Outlook, Skype, Firefox and some management tools. After system boot everything is performing fine for about 1 hour. (I wasn't able to  record the exact time so far). After this, the system starts to get really slow, and shows a bad response time. As soon as some CPU load is applied, the CPU clock in Task Manager goes down, also the CPU load is not able to reach 100%. The CPU Temperature does not go over about 60° at this point. Directly after the system start it goes up to about 85°C. I monitored the CPU with HWMonitor, and put some stress to the Laptop using Prime 95. After some minutes Torture Test I see following values in HWMonitor (see attachment Prime 1.jpg) After about 1 hour run time, I see following: (see attachment Prime 2.jpg) So, the CPU Clock is far down, all temperatures are not really high, no... Hi, I have a Lenovo X380 Yoga, with updated the Thunderbolt firmware and driver, but totally refusing to charge. It was working fine until one day maybe 10 days ago. I've written to Lenovo but had no reply and warranty expired last month!! I always use Lenovo Vantage and have everything up to date (well, can't install the latest BIOS upgrade now as the battery is not charged enough)! Worthy noting that I've tried with both chargers: the regular one and also the USB-C. No joy... really disappointed as I could not get in touch with their support and could not find any similar issue at this forum so far. Does any one has a clue on how to sort this? Thanks in advance, Kind regards Sergio

I've come across a pretty weird problem. When I used my pen last it worked fine, but now it's having trouble when I try to click. Hovering works fine, but any time I try to click on anything on the desktop or within an app, it won't do anything. When I try to click in a browser, it usually does nothing, except for Microsoft Edge, which crashes completely, and Chrome, which works perfectly with the pen. I spent a few hours in pen settings and looking online for help but wasn't able to do much to fix the problem. In pen settings, it says that I haven't used my pen at all since September (although I've used it within the past few weeks with no problems). Any tips/ideas?

After updating bios from 1.21 -> 1.30, the fan now makes an annoying pulsating tone when its spinning, before it was constant tone. The audio keeps stuttering randomly or when minimizing/maximizing browser.Lenovo vantage update is depressingly bad and some info makes no sense. For example my battery was low and got a warning message "Discharging stopped as battery temperature too high" How can 'discharging' be stopped, the battery temperature wasn't high. It is supposed to be a low battery warning but its like someone who has no idea what they are talking about wrote the warning message. No such issues on much cheaper laptops, it can't even play youtube videos without audio glitches. Is this going to be fixed?

Hi,I recently ordered a Thinkpad X380 Yoga. I was wondering whether it is possible to use an SSD with msata form factor in the WWAN card slot. Thanks in advance.

A:X380 yoga msata SSD?

Hello and welcome,

I can't find any reference on the web or in the X380 base spec that indicates this is possible.  My guess is NO, but can't really verify one way or the other.

I can say that mSATA should not be part of the conversation.  The WWAN slot is m.2 NOT mSATA.  mSATA has not been used in Lenovo products for several generations.

Hi Lenovo Community, I'm having a problem with the cellular in Windows 10 on a Lenovo X380 Yoga tablet. It was purchased from Rogers in Canada. I believe it has been activated and should be ready to use. Rogers recommends an app to activate and get it working (I believe it is MyRogersAccount), but it is not available. We have verified there is a WWAN card installed and the SIM card was inserted properly. The cellular shows as turned off and then when you press the Windows 10 tile to turn on the cellular, it tries to turn on, then turns off in about a second. So we don't know what to do to get the Cellular to turn ON. Not sure if we need to contact Rogers with regards to this matter or if it's a problem with the tablet. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance,Jay Smith

Hi For some reason I cannot draw with my Pen on my new x380 yoga.I tried it when I just got it. Just to see if it worked. And it was working. But today when I wanted to use it for the first time it was not working. When I open a program for drawing, I can se that the tracking is working fine. The cursor is following the pin.But when I touch the pen to the screan and start drawing nothing happens.I cannot draw with my fingers, it shows where my fingers have be, as it dos when using it as a tablet. But it dos not draw. And it draws when I am using the mouse as "normal". It also seems that sometimes the program would just close it self, for no reason.  I have tried cleaning the screen, and installing the WinTab driver. The Lenovo Pen settings shows that the pin is at 100% battery.I have tried resetting the settings to default, but nothing happens. I am seriosly disapointet it the pen is broken before I ever got to use it.

The only thing, they just need to collect it on Monday - what could be easier?! Of course they didn't! and they even didn't bother or called me to ask what happened or whatsoever! I had to call myself to FedEx to find out that there is just no scheduled collection for this order - perfect! Scheduled it for the next day, called them in the middle of the day to confirm that they will come (as they simple give you an idea on when this will happen - between 9 and 17 - so just wait for the whole day, please). And still nothing! A bit frustrated - called Lenovo again and what a news - the guy in support for 10 minutes an absolutely unaceptable way was trying to insist that it's my problem that nobody collects the laptop and it's my issue and I have to deal with FedEx (whatever time it takes) and untill that they will not do anything! Why the hell if I have lenovo laptop, paid all the money for warranty and insurance I should spend two days on trying to get a service support for your rubbish products which doesn't work at the first place????!!!! I'm working for a multinational company and our directors received X380 Yoga laptops with Windows 10 operating system.Usually they use their laptops  connected to their docking stations with USB-C type cable and that works properly. When they disconnect from the docking station and they go to a meeting room and they connect to the network directly by a LAN cable, it still works properly. (the laptop doesn't have a full sized RJ45 port, so a ThinkPad Ethernet Extension Cable is needed for LAN connection) The issue happens when they finish the meeting and they go back to their rooms and they connect the docking station again and they can't connect to the company network( the ethernet adapter show that "unidentified network"), so it doesn't work until they restart the laptop, after restart, everything is ok. So the main problem: after using LAN directly and then go back to docking station then there is no network until restart. Please give me a solution if you can, maybe just some settings are missing.Thank you in advanceRoland

Hello my fellow ThinkPad friends, I know that there are already a couple of threads out there concerning high battery drain when the device is completely shut down, but none for the X380 Yoga yet. In some cases (E-Series ThinkPads), a BIOS-Update was released to solve the problem. I would kindly like to ask the Lenovo team to try and figure out whether the same can be accomplished for the X380 Yoga.  When my device is shut down, it usually drains 10-15% a day, which cannot be a regular thing. Of course, I have tried all the usual stuff: - Windows Quick Start is off - USB-power when off is off- Wake-On-LAN or USB-C is off- BIOS updated to R0SET29W 1.13 If you have any other ideas, feel free to post them. Otherwise, I would really appreciate for a BIOS update that might adress the issue. It is kind of annoying charging your device for the weekend knowing that by the next day, you will already have lost 1 to 2 hours of runtime. Best wishes,Manuel

Hi Lenovo community, I recently purchased an X380 Yoga, and while testing the pen using the latest Wintab Utility drivers (7.5.2.24) I find that one out of approximately every 30 strokes is not registered, particularly when I'm writing or drawing quickly.  Worse yet, every few minutes or so the pen stops making strokes altogether for about 10 seconds, and pressing the pen down during this time leads to a fat, laggy stroke appearing randomly on the other side of the screen.  This happens regardless of whether my palm is touching the screen, and can be reproduced in laptop or tablet orientation.  It also happens both with the pen that comes with the laptop and with my Wacom Bamboo Ink. Weirdly, installing the old Wacom Feel drivers on the laptop corrects the problem - I don't encounter any missing or vectoring strokes.  But of course that driver isn't compatible with Lenovo Pen Settings, so I can't change the pressure or map the buttons.  This leads me to think this is a driver issue, but one I can't see a solution to. Has anyone else encountered this problem?  Does Lenovo support know about it?  I'd like to try rolling back to an earlier X380 Wacom driver, but can't find them online - can I just use the Thinkpad 370 Yoga drivers instead? Thanks for the help!

Just in time my TB3 firmware it's correctly updated I have a use case where I need it.Want to test the possibility to use a VR headset using a 2880x1700 90hz display (so about a "3k" display), connected to the USBC/TB3 port trough it's DisplayPort alternate mode.I didn't expect any good performance due to very limited internal GPU but this is not the point since it's just an experiment using also video streaming from another PC, want to understand if the USBC/TB3 port on the X380 Yoga might support trough DisplayPort this resolution and frequency. There is not so much documentation about this port capabilities, and if support DP 1.2 spec in theory will be capable of supporting 4k video at 75hz but not at 120hz supporting HDR2, 90hz it's not mentioned and also "However, transmission mode support is not necessarily dictated by a device's claimed "DisplayPort version number"".Being available a USBC to HDMI 2.0b adapter in theory HDMI 2.0b seems capable to support 2.5k at 120 and 144hz and 4k at 120hz with specific subsampling. From Lenovo fw update for the X380 seems uses an Alpine Ridge controller, and from the drivers a LP (low power) variant using an PCIe 3.0 ×2 link for a single TB3 port and DP 1.2.So just want to ask what I can expect.
