Bluetooth disappear from device manager (t470p, intel wifi + bluetooth 8265 Win10)

Q: Bluetooth disappear from device manager (t470p, intel wifi + bluetooth 8265 Win10)

Hello Every once in a while, my Microsoft bluetooth mouse stops working. Then I check the bluetooth device in the Windows device manager and it is no longer there, as if my laptop didn't have bluetooth at all. The only work-arround is to reboot. Then it works for a while, can be days or sometimes maybe even weeks before it stops working again. I found this article https://support.lenovo.com/ca/en/solutions/ht506394 which seems to describe my problem. Unfortunately, the proposed solution doesn't work as my driver is already up to date (20.100.0.4) Any idea?

I recommend downloading and running DAP. It can help sort out any driver and firmware related issues on your system

It's worked out well for many of us in the past.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloaddap.org. (This link will open the download page of DAP so you can save a copy to your computer.)

Hi, I have a XPS 13 9343 (i5/QHD) purchased refurbished from 3rd party, recently installed clean W10.
The Dell tool indicates to me that I should be installing:
9343_Network_Driver_WD22T_WN32_7.35.333.0_A03.EXE
Installing I get failure log at the bottom.
Via Device Manager as mentioned the WiFi adapter under Network is not there, scanning for hardware changes does not help.
I have tried manually installing inf files but I don't get any options under "Model" when I try to install it through legacy hardware.
I'm starting to think the Wifi/Bluetooth component is either faulty or entirely missing from the vendor (I have not opened it up and wouldn't know how to diagnose this myself).
I've attached a separate wifi dongle which works as does connecting to Ethernet via a USB adapter.
Any other ideas of what it could be? Thanks.

Hi! Thank you for writing in. You need to consider the hardware compatibility of a Windows computer to an Android OS. Basic functionality of the wifi, keyboard, bluetooth etc. might not work because of driver incompatibility. Apparently, Lenovo cannot provide drivers that will work both with Windows & Android. -Bobby_Lenovo

installed intel ac-3160 dual band + blue tooth in a Sony notebook system wont allow blue tooth to start.
also there is no interface available to connect any hardware to it, i know it has something to do with some Vaio software on the system.
it allows me to use dual band mode and it shows that blue tooth is present but disables it claiming interference with 2.4 GHz band.
now i have had blue tooth dongles installed working while using 2.4 GHz band before with no issues, so i don't get the issue now.
any input would be appreciated.

i have installed the correct driver for this belkin bluetooth usb dongle model: F8T012XX1

but in device manager, it has the belkin device and microsoft bluetooth enumerator, which is great. but when u get further down the list. it has a tab named "other devices" and then a subtab with "bluetooth peripheral device" which has an exclemation mark on it.

i have searched for driver software using the update service but it cant find no update.

i have looked for the name of the manufacturer but found nothing.

i then disabled the unknown device, and sent a picture to my mobile phone. which confirmed that it was not the belkin bluetooth device. so i uninstalled the unknown device, restarted the computer. then when i logged in, it said that it had found a new device and wanted me to find the CD that came with it..

i would be greatful if any1 could help me on this..

thanks in advance

My bluetooth functionality and even the icon disappeaered from my laptop.  The HP Service Assistant tried to do a network diagnostic and couldn't find a problem.  It said to go to the HP support site and load latest Bluetooth drivers.  The only drivers shown were for a Broadcom Bluetooth.  Not thinking I had a different Bluetoth system I downloaded and installed the Broadcom drivers.  Then I went to the device manager and saw that I did not have a Broadcom system, but an Intel system. (I should have done this earlier I know).  The device manager showed that the drivers were probably corrupted and it couldn't validate the digital signature for the drivers that were there. (Code 52) I revisited the device manager and looked at the properties tab of the drivers and the events tab under that.  It said there that Device USB/VID-8087&PID etc. needed further installation. Now I am confused and frustrated.  I don't want to try to instal this device if it is not the correct Intel device, but rather the Broadcom device. In other words, I don't want to screw things up even more. Can someone please tell me what to do?

I know this question has been asked across different forums throughout the net. However, after I've almost tried everything now to solve this issue, I'm finally addressing the Lenovo community hoping to resolve this issue. Issue: Bose bluetooth headset QC35 gets successfully connected to my Lenovo T530 but doesn't show up as an audio device under Win10 Pro. In first stage, the connection seemed to be "fine" as the device name of the headset (configured through the Bose app) appeared under Win10 device manager. Already tried: 1. 3 different bluetooth USB dongles2. Inbuilt Broadcomm bluetooth device3. All imageanable settings within Windows4. Different driver sets5. Bose hotline (very unsatisfying support)6. Bose shop (as well very unsatisfying and useless answers)7. Windows support (very, very unsatisfying support)8. Completely deleting the headset from Windows (including driver)9. Resetting the headset Overall, the outcome is that I still can't use the QC35 as a bluetooth headset with my T530. Trying with different other notebooks and Apple devices worked fine. Looking forward to receiving your much appreciated thoughts and possible ideas on how to solve this problem.

When I undock the laptop by pulling the USB-C cable out (either sleeping beforehand or not sleeping first) then I am getting an intermittent issue where the wifi claims to be disabled. The only way to resolve this is a hard reboot.
Toggling airplane mode doesn't help. Disabling and reenabling the wifi network connection doesn't help. Toggling airplane mode from Fn-PrtScr doesn't help.
It is acting as though the hardware radio is turned off (like when laptops used to come with a hardware radio switch), but with no method to turn it on again.
Looking in the system event log I can see entries from source Netwtw04, Event ID 7012 stating "radio OFF"
Drivers and bios are all up to date.

Any ideas?

Hi:Below is the link to the product specifications page for your model. http://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-Pavilion-17-f000-Notebook-PC-series/6936220/model/7242209/doc... It does not come with built in bluetooth networking, or that feature would have been listed along with the 1x1 802.11b/g/n WLAN wireless connectivity specification. There would be two ways to add bluetooth... The hard way...replace the internal Realtek 8188EE wireless card with the Realtek RT8723BE 802.11bgn 1x1 Wi-Fi + BT4.0 Combo Adapter for HP Pavilion 17 Notebook    HP Part # 753077-005. That will require extensive disassembly of the notebook. Consult the service manual...chapter 6 for the wlan card R&R procedures. http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c04402649 The easy way...purchase an external usb bluetooth adapter. I bought a new Bluetooth device today only to find out that I can't get it to connect to my desktop due to the fact that Bluetooth just flat out isn't working on my computer.

In device manager there is no blue "B" denoting that it is even installed. If I go to Devices in my settings there is no Bluetooth option in the left pane. However, if I go to Notification Center I see a Bluetooth option there (which took a bunch of work just to make that show up there), clicking on it takes me to the Devices screen where I can attempt to connect a device, however no devices are found when trying to pair a device.

I'm at a loss here, this seems to be a relatively common issue which I've been unable to find a fix for (watched a bunch of videos, read a bunch of sites claiming to have a fix). Does anyone have any definitive ideas? This is a clean Win 10 install, not an upgrade and I've already tried repairing/uninstalling/reinstalling the Intel Wireless Bluetooth software.

Hello,

I am experiencing the following issue:
All bluetooth items have desappeared from the Notificaion area, the Device Manager as well as from the service.msc.
It occured after a driver updates perfomed with the installation of the following driver from Toshiba support website:
"Bluetooth Filter Driver Package
Windows 7 - 64 Bit 17.1.1523.1299
03/02/2017
"
I did this update because I was strugguling to connect UE BOOM2 speaker and the Mbot Ranger robot.

So it is not possible for me to connect any bluetooth periferal devices anymore.
I have tryied many things to recover the bluetooth material, including drivers updates with "Driver Navigator" tool and Bios update via Toshiba website, but without any success.

I have attached the current Device Manager Screen shoot version.
I have also attached the CCleaner current screen shoot version in witch I still can see only one related Bluetooth item listed.
I have attached the Aida Hardware report of my computer hopping it could help.

Hi: Didn't you have to plug in a little USB thing for the wireless and keyboard to work? They don't normally run off the PC's bluetooth radio. The USB dongle is the wireless device that works with those. All PC's with Windows have Bluetooth services, whether or not the PC actually has bluetooth hardware. If you don't see a bluetooth radios icon in the device manager listing, then your PC does not have built in bluetooth networking. The easiest thing to do would be to puchase an external usb bluetooth adapter. I use this one on my HP business desktop PC and it works for what I use it for. https://www.amazon.com/Kinivo-BTD-400-Bluetooth-4-0-USB/dp/B007Q45EF4 Since your PC is a Configured to Order (CTO) model, there are no specs that indicate whether your specific build has it or not. It could have come with built in bluetooth networking on some models. http://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-Pavilion-Elite-HPE-100-Desktop-PC-series/4079700/model/412462... The only other suggestion I can offer would be to enter the product number of your PC in the part surfer website at the link below, and see what parts came with your PC.  Sometimes the part surfer will give exact info, and sometimes it will list all possible options. The product number of your PC can be found on the same sticker as the serial number. http://partsurfer.hp.com/search.aspx

Hi,

I have a MSI GT70 2OD, I have not really ever used bluetooth, so im not sure how long I have had the problem.
Running Windows 8.1 and everything updated. My computer does not seem to realize that it has bluetooth. The computer has the Killer Bigfoot Doubleshot Lan/Wlan/Btooth card. When I look in device manager there is no bluetooth, and i guess therefor no option in windows to toggle on/off bluetooth.

In the details tab of task manager there is a btvstack running and if I go to my bluetooth folder location I can run bttray.exe and have that running in details tab, however the tray icon does not appear.

I have looked quite a bit to find that it seems to be quite a common problem and not specific to MSI however cannot find a clear solution.

Any help with this would be much appreciated.

Thanks in Advance.

Sorry if this is the wrong forum. Wasn't clear to me which one was correct.

I have the ASUS Rampage IV Extreme motherboard. One of its features is onboard Bluetooth.

I have it enabled in BIOS. I flashed my BIOS to the latest version, I updated my chipset to the latest driver. I installed the latest Bluetooth driver. I started Bluetooth Support Service in Windows Services.

I've tried disabling Bluetooth in BIOS then enabling it.

I have never once seen anything in my computer that hinted at Bluetooth whatsoever. No Bluetooth Radios in Device Manager or anything Bluetooth related.

I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
ASUS Rampage IV Extreme
3930k
16 GB RAM

I have never tried to use it so I don't know if it ever worked before, but I have no system restore points set anyway, so that test isn't viable.

A:Bluetooth not working or showing up in Device Manager

It looks like a lot of people are having this problem with that motherboard.

One solution was to remove and reconnect the Bluetooth dongle from the motherboard port after installing the driver (yes it is removable, but it clips into the port).

Another was to make sure that the Bluetooth service was enabled in Windows.

Another solution that worked was posted by Necrosan over at ROG:"You need to install AI Suite II - specifically the Mobilink component - on your PC. (You can obtain the most recent version from the R4E ASUS website.)
Turn on bluetooth, pair the phone, open RC bluetooth, hit menu->devices. Choose previously paired device.
At this point it should "just work" if you are about 1-3 feet away from your computer. Any more distance than that and you likely will experience issues. (Yes, the range really does suck this bad.)

I just tested these exact instructions and they worked fine. Feel free to ask any follow up questions.
Enjoy. "
But I think that last one was only if it shows up in Device Manager but does not connect. Can't be sure.

Bluetooth is giving me this error: "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)" when I go check it through the Device Manager. The drivers are updated and I have already uninstalled and reinstalled to no avail. My laptop can still connect and use Wifi without problems. The device is a Qualcomm Atheros AR3011. Is this a hardware problem?

Lost my bluetooth adapter when I powered up my laptop this AM.  No icon in the tray, nothing in the device manager.  System info says it's there, and I updated the Intel software package for it, but still nothing.

I accidently un-installed the Bluetooth device driver from my computer. Im using LG ultrabook with windows 8.1 installed. is there any way to re-install the Bluetooth driver?

A:Accidently uninstall bluetooth device manager

Open Device Manager, then right click on <computername> at the very top and select 'Scan for hardware changes' from the context menu.

Failing that, go to View > Show Hidden Devices, then look for any residual Bluetooth devices. If there are any, remove them all. Right click on each and select Uninstall. Once their all removed, click 'Scan for hardware changes'

Alternatively, visit the LG Driver Downloads page and download the Bluetooth drivers for your specific model. Make sure the model number is correct to the letter.

I'm trying to get my SIXAXIS wireless controller to work with my laptop, but I am unable to find "Bluetooth radio" under my device manager. Is there a way to install these drivers? Or are they supposed to be native with windows?

I'm using Windows XP SP2.

A:Bluetooth Radio not showing in device manager

You might be able to get it to work using a USB cable. Bluetooth drivers are not native to XP

Probably because the drivers for your device are not installed?

Hi there I did a clean install of Windows 10 several months back. All is working perfectly fine. However, Bluetooth does not appear in Device Manager (including when hidden devices are shown):  This hasn't bothered me up to now, because I never had a requirement to use Bluetooth since I purchased this laptop back in 2012. However, now I do... 1)  Have tried installing the Atheros Bluetooth 8 and 8.1 drivers from Acer Support>Drivers & Manuals. Still no luck (FYI there are no Windows 10 drivers supported for V3-571) 2) Because of the above I tried installing the driver for V3-572 (some people have recommended elsewhere for other issues with Acer models not supported with W10 drivers) - unfortunately this did not work. I installed the below only.  All the above install did was update my wireless network adapter driver? Bluetooth still did not appear in device manager. Can anyone help? I must add that Bluetooth does not appear via the W10 menu either:  But greyed out Bluetooth option does appear via notifications>actions menu pop up (unable to activate, probably because there's no apparent driver according to device manager):  I know that that the obvious answer will be "Your Acer Aspire model is not supported with drivers for W10, therefore there may be some compatibility issues", but surely someone out there must have my model (or older), be using W10 and still be able to use Bluetooth? Many thanks... I don't have your system. But I know that with the Nov Release of 10, My bluetooth don't work anymore either. When 10240 was released there was no issues. However with the November 10586 after the update it said Sorry this bluetooth wasn't compatible and was removed.  I tried to reinstall the Wireless/Bluetooth Driver but bluetooth still away. Lucky my Wireless part still working....  Maybe it could be the same thing with yours. Or maybe if you give your Wireless/Bluetooth model maybe there is others that have info about a good Driver for your system James PS. Not all systems have everything that is listed in the Drivers list of Acers website. It could be that yours didn't come with the Bluetooth Part

Hello All, I booted my laptop up today and noticed the driver didn't come on for the Bluetooth. Usually it comes on with the WiFi but it's just no where to be found. I can't locate it in Control Panel > Network and Internet. It's not in Device Manager at all.I conducted a search for "Bluetooth" in the Start > search program and files. The icon shows up, but when I click on it nothing happens. I tried Run> service.msc and Bluetooth Service and Bluetooth Support Service are both set to automatic. I've tried running sfc /scannow in Command Prompt. It reported verification 100 complete. Windows Resource did not find any integrity violations. I tried unistalling update KB958488 and restarting but that didn't help. I tried running Sytem Restore to an earlier point (31st May 2016) but that was unsuccessful because of error 0x80070005. I tried installing the lastest drivers "Broadcom Wireless LAN Driver for Microsoft Windows 75.60.350.6 20.7 MB May 17, 2016" from  http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-pavilion-dv6-2100-entertainment-notebook-pc-serie... It seemed to have installed correctly but the bluetooth driver/app still won't start. When I went to C:\SwSetup\SP45578 > Setup it asked to "repair installation for Bluetooth Software" I clicked OK. It stated to prepare to install, but then comes back with an error message "No Bluetooth Device was detected. Please make sure that your Bluetooth device is plugged in pro... Read more

Hi: A couple of suggestions... 1. Update the HP Bluetooth driver to the final version for W7... This package contains the software required to support the HP Integrated Module with Bluetooth Wireless Technology in supported notebook models running a supported operating system. The HP Integrated Module with Bluetooth Wireless Technology provides wireless connectivity to other devices from the integrated module of the supported notebooks. It also provides additional Bluetooth Profiles. ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp47001-47500/sp47022.exe 2. Make sure the bluetooth radio was not turned off by the HP Wireless Assistant.  Below is the latest version of that software. This package contains the HP Wireless Assistant for the supported notebook models and operating systems. The HP Wireless Assistant reports the power state and Microsoft Windows Device Manager status of integrated wireless devices, alerts the user when the status of a device changes, and enables the user to turn integrated wireless devices on and off. ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp49001-49500/sp49408.exe

It appears after the latest round of windows automatic updates my native bluetooth device went missing.  It is not visable in the device manager or the control panel settings.   I have downloaded and reinstalled the latest wireless and bluetooth drivers, however I am still unable to view the device.  This is a Yoga Pro 2 (64bit) running the most current Windows 8.1 updates.  The latop has a native bluetooth adaptor which had been working with no issues. I have run services.msc and restarted the associated BT services and they are running. Would appreciate any help.

Have you checked through the Charms Menu?

Hover to the right of the screen, click settings >> PC Settings >> PC & Devices

-----
If you cant find it there, then go to Control Panel >> Recovery >> Open system restore

and restore your system to the last recovery point before the microsoft updates.
