I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

I have a Yoga laptop and a ThinkPad USB 3.0 Pro Dock. When my external speakers are plugged into the dock and selected as default in Windows, audio still plays through the laptop rather than the speakers. If I plug the speakers directly into the laptop, music plays through the speakers. I purchased the dock so that I wouldn't have to plug and unplug all the accessories. What do I need to do to get audio to play through the dock?

I have a problem with my Yoga s730. At least once to a few times per day, the screen will flash black for 2-4 seconds and when it comes back, it will close Plex media player and sometimes the Youtube tab if it's open. If the screen is dimmed due to nightlight settings, it will also override that and turn the nightlight off. What could the problem be? I've tried updating all drivers and BIOS. TIA.

Hi all, We have a Lenovo Yoga 500-14ISK and a Samsung LED monitor (tried with other monitor too) connected with hdmi cable. After installed the graphic drivers the external display worked properly for 2-3 weeks. But then it became unseen for the notebook. I've reinstalled the driver and it worked again for 2-3 weeks. Last time I've installed the updated driver but the last week the problem appeared again. As usual I've installed the driver and after the 3rd restart it works again, but I don't know how long. Have You any idea what's wrong here? Thank You in advance,Zoltán

[email protected], hopefully someone can help.  I got a Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro 13 80HE004LGE for half a year.  Intel Core M-5Y70 1.1 GHz + Intel HD Graphics 5300, Kerntakt: 100-850 MHz, Dual-Channel, 20.19.15.4444 I used it with an external DELL 24" screen in extension setup WUXGA 1920 x 1200 pixel. Worked without any problem. Now changed the screen: DELL 27" (Dell U2713HM) . This screen should be able to provide WQHD 2560 x 1440 pixel but max I can choose in the set up (Win 10) is Full HD 1920 x 1080 pixel. I did the full program; 1. deleting drivers (Graphic and Monitor) reinstalled newest versions provided from Lenovo/Dell website,2. tried 3 different cables (HDMI and DVI), no differences :-(3. Installed Dell SetUp tool4. Installed intel set up tool (Could enter the high resolution manually here as personal setting, but does not work either) Nothing helped :-( screent stays on 1920 x 1080 :-( This 27" screen was running connected to a MacBook Pro without any problem in max. resolution 2560 x 1440 before.  Due to my research the Intel HD 5300 should be able to handle 2560 x 1440. Looking forward to helpful repliesDennis

Hi,

The way I read the X1YG1 base specs it supports two independent monitors.  Apologies, but I can't quite parse your post.  Does "apart from laptop screen" mean that you want 3 monitors total, or two and the laptops's display is off?

supports external digital monitor via HDMI or Mini DisplayPort;supports dual independent displays;

About a week ago I received my X1 Yoga (OLED; Type 20FQ, 20FR) and the OneLink+ dock (with 2 Displayports). I have 2 Dell P2715Q UHD (technically UHD but putting 4k here as a search term) monitors on my desk, with displayport and HDMI input options. Drivers on the laptop are up to date (as of 22-Jul-2016) with Windows 10. So, for those curious, these are the resolutions I can acheive. Via OneLink+ dock:1 UHD screen (via Displayport on dock; Displayport and HDMI on laptop are disabled) + laptop display (WQHD)No matter what I try, I can't get both UHD screens running at the same time, from the Displayports on the dock. This seem to be because the ports detect both screens as UHD and simply disable display to one of them. (I can 'see' the screen in the display settings, it's just I can only turn on one at a time.) Note a Displayport-to-HDMI adapter in one of the OneLink+ ports works but does not change the number of screens situation. From the laptop directly:2 UHD and internal display (WQHD) work fine - i.e. all 3 screens at native resolution.Note the Intel driver shows the UHD via Displayport as 60p and the UHD via HDMI as 29p, which works well for me. (If I set the HDMI to 30p it sets the UHD to 59p... go figure.) Internal WQHD shows as 60p. So... given the OneLink+ dock seems to disable funcionality of the inbuilt graphics chipset, I've reverted back to plugging my screens into the laptop directly (and a USB hub for 'things' and ethernet). Effectively, fo... Read more

Hi All, I have been scouring through the forums to try and support my Yoga 910 and USB-C thinkpad docking station. Thanks to all of your posts, I have solved the following: 1. Docking station works but needs 2 USB-C cables, one for displaying data, one for power. For the power I used the actual lenovo charging cable because I dont want to chance trying the usb-usb-c option. 2. I can get it to work with the external monitor now My problem now, is that despite getting the picture to work with a DisplayPort -> HDMI cable, the picture is horrible. Using applications like Outlook, the pages arent defined now. text is exceptionally fuzzy. My laptop is configured to 4k, but the monitor is only 1080p, I am not willing to lower the resolution on the laptop, but are there other options? I run the same setup on my surfacebook and it works fine. I really love the Yoga 910, but the docking solution is pretty poor, so I hope this is just some resolution configuration I am missing. I am using a Dell U2414H - and with the DisplayPort cable being this: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B015OW3GJK/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I noticed it only supports up to 1080p which I hoped would be ok, but is that my mistake? Is the laptop putting out a 4k feed and the cable isnt liking it? Please let me know.

Hi all, would really appreciate some help from you all!  I want to connect P50 to two external monitors and have all three displays (p50, monitor 1 and monitor 2) on.  Is that possible without a dock?Monitor 1 is a 21.5 inch Asus monitor with HDMI, VGA and DVI portsMonitor 2 is slight ancient 22 inch HP monitor with only VGA and DVI ports My P50 laptop has HDMI, Thunderbolt, and a Mini displayport connector. Can I connect the P50 to the two monitors and have the displays on all of them (including the laptop) be on?   If yes, what do you recommend is the best way to connect them?

A:P50 display ON plus two external monitors without a dock possible?

First, you haven't mentioned if you have a "discrete graphics" nVidia GPU in your P50. I will assume you do, and I will recommend that you set your BIOS to have Config -> Display -> graphics device set to "discrete graphics".  This will effectively disappear the built-in Intel HD Graphics hardware (from the CPU) which would normally control the laptop screen.  It will instead assign the nVidia GPU to control the laptop screen as well as all externally connected monitors.  You should then download and install the normal latest retail nVidia graphic driver for your Quadro GPU from the nVidia driver download site.

Next, you should use both the miniDisplayPort and HDMI connectors on your P50, to connect to the external monitors. You can connect the HDMI port on the laptop to the monitor which has an HDMI source connector, using a regular HDMI-HDMI cable.

The second external monitor can be connected to the miniDP connector on the P50, but you will need a proper modestly priced miniDP->DVI cable like this one.

That's it. You can use the nVidia Control Panel (installed as part of the normal nVidia driver) to activate all three screens and also to set the desired resolutions on all three screens.

hi, I have setup one of my faculty with a Yoga 920131KB plus Thunderbolt 3 Dock. He has an existing monitor (Samsung Syncmaster P2450) that should support 1920x1080. Seems to be current on all drivers and patches under Win10 EDU version. (Including the CCG4 Firmware Update to v55). We are using the HDMI output from the dock. If we try to configure extended desktop to the Samsung monitor at 1920x1080, the screen extends off both sides about half an inch. Maybe also a quarter inch over at the top.  As a work-around, set at 1680x1050, video generally works as expected, but the display starts about 2" in from either side. Generally I don't like using add-on utilities (prefer to just use standard windows built-in options), but somewhere along the line this has the Intel Graphics HD Utility.  I was using that to switch resolution, the Windows settings seemed to track along with changes in the Intel utility, but still overscanned the display.  I played with some other settings in the utility about Display Scale (other than 100%), didn't seem to change anything. A second problem occurs with this setup: when the laptop is used at home, put to sleep, then plugged into the dock, the screen is displayed on the external monitor at maybe 200% (?).  That is, you only see the central portion of the image.  No fiddling with settings seems to correct it, but rebooting usually fixes it. The second problem also occurs with a similar Yoga 920 + Dock (d... Also wanted to mention something I noticed while working on this: I saved a log from the Intel Utility. There is a section in there about "Maximum Image Size". This seemed to be correct for the laptop display (12.2"x6.69") but the Samsung was listed at 6.3" x 3.54"    It is a 24" diagonal display, so that is obviously wrong, but I don't know that it is important. Intel(R) UHD Graphics 620 Report Date: Monday, February 5, 2018Report Time [hh:mm:ss]: 1:21:19 PMDriver Version: 23.20.16.4849Operating System: Windows* 10 Education (10.0.16299)Physical Memory: 16225 MBVendor ID: 8086Device ID: 5917Device Revision: 07Graphics Output Protocol (GOP) Version: 9.0.1066Current Resolution: 1680 x 1050 Display Type: DigitalDDC2 Protocol: SupportedGamma: 2.2Connector Type: DisplayPortDevice Type: DisplayPortMaximum Image SizeHorizontal Size: 6.3 inchesVertical Size: 3.54 inches

Just received a new X1 Yoga 2nd gen laptop with a USB-C dock (40A90090US) and I'm trying to run a three monitor setup.  Tried with the two built in display port connections and the laptop screen, but that's not working.  Currently have it running with one display port, the laptop screen, and the HDMI port on the laptop, but that's not ideal, having to plug in two cables.  I'd prefer to not use the VGA port, but would that be the only way to have two active external monitors coming from the dock in addition to the laptop screen?  Other option is that I could probably scrounge a third monitor, leave the laptop closed and run three monitors off the dock, though as near as I can tell, that dock doesn't support three live monitors.  Looks like I'd need to upgrade to the thunderbolt dock (40AC0135xx) for that to work, is that correct? Thanks for any input...

I'm unable to get my X1 Yoga to detect external monitors when plugged into the OneLink+ dock. This started occuring when my computer upgraded to the creators update. I thought I found a thread of others with the same issue (linked below), but it turns out I was waiting for a fix that didn't apply to me. I'm super frustrated right now. Stuff I've tried so far.1. Hi,I just got a X1 Carbon 20HR, and the ThinkPad USB-C Dock with it. The issue is, that when I use the dock and have it connected to my external monitor [Samsung LU28E85] then the mouse is lagging a bit - but enough to annoy me and make it harder to reach the right buttons.... This is both when I use a cabled mouse, as well as via Bluetooth or the Logitech connector. I would say thoug, that the cabled mouse seems to perform a little better than the wireless connections. When not in the dock and working on the screen of the laptop, there are no issues with any of the mice at all. There also seem to be a bit of lack with the keyboard entries...... Any advice?I was wondering if it can be the dock which is "underpowered" and should have been the Thinkpad Thunderbolt 3 Dock instead? I have you can help Kind regardsLasse

Hello all, As the Yoga 720 15'' has only one Thunderbolt port, with no other ports for connecting more displays, I'm looking for a solution for connecting two monitors through this single port. The problem is that the Thunderbolt 3 to dual DisplayPort adapters do not seem to be working on this laptop for some reason according to threads on this forum. (although it has the appropriate hardware I suppose?)I saw a solution using the Lenovo Thunderbolt Dock, but it's quite expensive... I thought to myself: suppose I have two monitors that supported DisplayPort daisy chaining, could I use this ability and connect them to the laptop? Connecting one monitor directly to the laptop, and then connecting the other monitor to the first one using daisy chaining. Like so:Yoga -> Thunderbolt to DispalyPort adapter -> Monitor 1 -> DisplayPort -> Monitor 2.  I couldn't find any info about this method (only that it is possible on the XPS 15 which also has Thunderbot with two lanes only...)  Have someone already tried this method? Or could try it? (pretty please... )Or could at least tell me if it is possible? I'm really looking forward to buying this laptop and this is the main reason that stops me...  Note: I am aware about the bandwith limitations. I plan to use only two 2K displays. Thank you!

I need to buy a docking station / hub for my Lenovo Yoga 720 and came across the one below, which is an Mbeat Elite USB-C multifunction dock, which is within my proce range. But I'm not sure if this will be conpatibale with my notebook. Does anyone have experience with this?... If this is not a goo option, can someone suggest a USB-C hub that will work with the Yoga 720 (13"). Thanks in advance. Please follow the link below to access the hub I'm talking about. https://www.pccasegear.com/products/40283/mbeat-elite-usb-type-c-multifunction-dock/

Hello, We have been fighting a new Lenovo Yoga X1 + new Thunderbolt 3 Dock+ new LVO T22I-10 21.5IN 1920X1080 LED MON for 2 months.  We've updated all drivers and bios on the Yoga - up to date as recently as yesterday.   Still every day, the client sits her Yoga on the desk, plugs in the lightning cable, waits and 90% of the time, the external monitor does not come on.  We've tried VGA cable and Displayport cables.  Neither work.  What is the deal with this?  Is it just defective?  This completely new computer set up shouldn't be such a hassle.  Please advise.

Hi, Does anyone know if it is possible to use this docking station with my yoga 720 131? I do not have the OneLink port on my laptop. If not, does anyone know of one that is compatible? I have an old external monitor with a DVI cable. I know I could just get the adapter for that, but would prefer the docking station if not too expensive. Thanks!

A:Can I use Lenovo ThinkPad OneLink Pro Dock DU9033S1 with Yoga 720? Thank you!

Hi ya-ya,

Greetings.

Yoga 720 13 is not really listed among those confirmed compatible with Pro Dock DU9033S1 which are mostly intended for Thinkline laptops.

There is specific dock also suggested using lenovo smartfind.

There is however shared discussion on what works with fellow members here and here that may interest you reviewing.

I hope this helps answer your query.

Regards

So here is a new one:  I have a Yoga 910 that has had many networking issues. It appears that if I unplug the computer from my USB-C dock (the dock still has power), the dock network connection freezes my router. This is repeatable, and annoying. As soon as I powered down the dock (by unplugging it), the router starts working. I am using an ASUS RT-AC5300 "mother of all routers" (when I bought it), and it has been rock solid until I started with my new Yoga. It is running the latest firmware, and I have updated the firmware on the dock as well. Ideas?

Hi, I currently have X1 Yoga (2nd Gen) and am wondering if the TB 3 graphics dock will work on my yoga? My yoga's TB3 port is also my charging port, will the graphics dock charge my yoga while using the dock itself? Thank you!
