Solved: Bluetooth keyboard and a Bluetooth mouse

Q: Solved: Bluetooth keyboard and a Bluetooth mouse

I have a Dell Latitude E6410 laptop running W7 64 bit Pro, 8 Gig Memory. Would goning to a Bluetooth keyboard and a Bluetooth mouse create problems, or should I just stay with the wired connections? The keyboard and the mouse as of this time would be my only bluetooth devices. It does have the internal Bluetooth.
Thanks in Advance

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Hi there, this is my first time posting, sorry if this is the wrong place for this kind of query!
My main set-up is a Dell latitude e4300 on a dock, with a wireless Bluetooth mouse and keyboard combo (also both Dell branded). This was all good until one day I was advised to update some drivers, some of which were to do with the Bluetooth equipment. After having done this, some of the programmable functions of the mouse and keyboard have stopped working (the multimedia buttons at the top of the keyboard, and the scroll wheel/side buttons of the mouse).
I checked the "Bluetooth Devices" in control panel and it is blank (all of my devices have disappeared, not just the keyboard/mouse). It can't seem to find any devices anymore, which is bizarre seeing as I wrote this entire post using the Bluetooth mouse and keyboard... I tried a program from Dell called "Setpoint" to try and solve this, but that doesn't recognise my mouse/keyboard either. I tried a system restore, but for some reason I was given an error message telling me the system restore couldn't be performed and that nothing was changed.
Any advice please? :(

I have a bluetooth keyboard and mouse (both Apple) that connect to Win 7 and I've gotten to work just fine.

The problem is this:

After a while they don't work anymore and I have to pull my Bluetooth USB adapter from the computer and replug it back in. I think this happens after the peripherals go to "sleep" but I cant be sure.

I think the USB adapter is made by "Wireless Link Systems" and I know the batteries are good in the devices.

Any ideas?

My bluetooth mouse is causing me headache - again.I used to have times when it randomly turn off but this is not the point here right now. I know that there are already posts about that.In my case my bluetooth works fine for bluetooth loudspeaker and external keyboard but as soon as I switch on my mouse it interferes with the other device. So when I turn on the mouse the speaker stops playing music and the external keyboard is off as well. When I go the settings trying to connect the bluetooth mouse I can see it but when I try to pair it either it disappears in the moment I am hovering over it (as if someone wanted to fool me actually) or when clicking on it successfully I get the message "This didn't work" or "Make sure your mouse is still discoverable".I tried many things already in the settings as well as in the device manager but nothing works. As a matter of fact, everytime when I switch on the bluetooth mouse it messes up with everything.Did anyone have this ever before and if so, could you solve it?Many thanks in advance for your answer and have a nice day!

Hey, i wonder if someone can help
The situation is i currently have a desktop pc that is being used as a home server.
I have a docking station for a laptop

The monitor is shared between the desktop pc and the laptop as an extended view as and when required, i switch between the two with a hdmi switcher.

the issue i am trying to solve however is keyboard and mouse sharing, ideall i want to be able to use the desktop pc with the keyboard and mouse as normal, and then somehow when i dock the laptop the keyboard and mouse is then used for this. essentially i dont want to have to move the dongle all the time.

i have seen synergy and input director, but i think this runs on the basis of all pcs being used at the same time

Any thoughts

I've had a problem recently with my bluetooth keyboard and mouse. I recently reformatted my PC and it is since then that I have had problems.

The problem is that if I have left my computer on for a while, usually 1 hour +, often after a screensaver has been running; in other words I generally can't exit the screensaver and have to press and hold the power button in order to switch the computer off. When I switch the computer back on again everything works as normal.

I am not quite sure what has caused this, but I am almost certain that it is nothing to do with the batteries in my keyboard or mouse. I also don't think it is anything to do with the bluetooth adapter because the light on it keeps flashing, indicating that it is turned on.

How can I fix this problem?

Thanks in advance

I installed a MS Bluetooth Wireless Mouse & Keyboard on my PC. It was not as easy as the directions claim. Even though the PC has built in Bluetooth, I still used, as was recommended, a MS Bluetooth Transceiver in a USB. All functions of the mouse and keyboard work. However, after shutting down and starting back up, the scroll on the mouse and the specialty keys on the keyboard don't work. The only way to fix it is to basically start over. I have to uninstall the mouse drivers in Programs. I have to uninstall the transceiver drive in some supplemental files found in Bluetooth. Then I have to reboot, the reinstall all drives. There is no place to go and install the transceiver drive....you just have to hope the PC does it. Sometimes a message comes up saying it failed at installing. Eventually when all is installed, I have to go to Bluetooth and let it recognize the mouse and keyboard, which doesnt always happen, even when triggering them to signal the PC.

My question is: Once installed and working, what can I do so that it will work when I reboot?

I've had the Microsoft Wireless Natural Multimedia Keyboard & Explorer Intellimouse combo for years now.

I absolutely love the combo, & most of all the ergo keyboard, but the transmitter was always a bit shaky & the mouse was the old red style laser.

Now I've upgraded to the new Microsoft Explorer Bluetrack mouse and its on a separate little USB transmitter - is this on bluetooth now?

This new mouse doesnt seem to react like the Intellimouse did and isnt as smooth & it'll take some getting used to.

I've tried installing the new software cd but it doesnt seem to "run" when I close the dvd drawer.

Do I need to uninstall the old Intellimouse software for the comp to see this new cd & install the proper specs for the Explorer Bluetrack? This may help with the sensitivity? (even though I've already adjusted it in the Intellimouse settings)

But I was also wondering if there were any rumors on a new Ergonomic/Natural wireless keyboard with bluetooth & mouse with blue track?

This would I could eliminate one of the transmitters since I have 2 now.

It absolutely has to be a wireless ergonomic keyboard, I hate normal ones.

A:Ergonomic Keyboard with bluetooth? & my new Bluetrack mouse

Well... with those kind devices I never had to uninstall old drivers... but maybe you can give it a shot...
About installer not executing, are those devices compatible with Windows 7? even if not, you can go to "Computer" and then double click the CD icon, that should "force" the launch of the setup.

See ya!!!

Tried to search for this first so if it's been answered I apologize.

My work recently upgraded my laptop from Win XP Pro x86 to Win 7 Pro x64 and this is when this issue started happening:

I have a Microsoft Bluetooth Keyboard, Keypad and Mouse combo set and every once in a while they will freeze for about 2 minutes and during that time I can't use any of them to interact with the computer. After about 2 minutes it seems like they unfreeze and go back to working normally.

I'm not really sure what the issue is because if I type keys and move the mouse, etc while the screen is frozen, all of the keys I pressed are processed immediately after the computer unfreezes...

If that doesn't make sense let me know and I'll try to re-word it. Thanks for your help, this is really frustrating me as it happens several times a day now.

You will need a separate bluetooth dongle. If your kb/mouse are bluetooth/usb, all that means is that the mouse and kb are paired to the receiver that is connected to the USB port on your PC.

Easily the best purchase I made in 14 was a Lenovo tablet for 40 bucks. Love it. But need a real keyboard as I can palm a basketball easily and this touchscreen typing is not meant for hands my size.

Parameters are easy, I got this to lose the laptop as much as possible, so it needs to compact as small as possible. Im a camper and biker, so i needthe space in le backpack.

Price does matter, as I think this can be kept sub 40 USD, maybe 30.

Thats it, other than battery life. Big hands, compact well, price point. And not 2 of 3.

I just bought a Logitech Bluetooth keyboard k480.

It is a single keyboard that lets you type input into several diff devices - one at a time

So, if you have a Notebook, a Tablet, a Smartphone and a Desktop PC and you use more than one of them during the day, you can just switch this keyboard by turning a dial and when you do that, you select into which device the KB will be entering the data you type. Pretty neat concept. But there are no instructions. I can't figure out how to connect it and pair it with these devices.

Presumably, you set the dial to one of three available positions and then press a key to select the device type.

But the package does not contain any instructions. Instead it just contains this web address:

Unfortunately, this web site is not at all intuitive when it comes to explaining how to use this thing.

It has a dial and enables you to turn the dial to switch between several diff devices such as a phone or tablet or PC. In addition, it works with iOS, Mac, Windows and Android devices.

So, you turn the dial to specify the device (I think) and then push a button to specify the OS.

Has anyone here bought one and if so, can you explain how I can go to the website and find some instructions on how to use this keyboard?

Oh wait!

For anyone interested, I think I may have found the instructions here:

But I don't have a printer. Not very convenient. I suppose ... Read more

This is really starting to annoy the hell out of me. I just picked up a Microsoft Bluetooth mouse, the Notebook 5000 mouse to be exact for my home entertainment center.

I have my PC ran to a monitor and a 55 inch Samsung LED LCD TV for watching movies etc. The problem is, the HDMI cord is run threw the wall so the PC is in another room so I cant use the normal mouse on the PC. I bought a bluetooth mouse due to the increased range but I'm having nothing but issues.

I have the Microsoft Bluetooth dongle btw, didn't come with the mouse, the mouse actually comes with no dongle.

Anyway it connects fine but if I stop using it for like an hour or whatever it disconnects and nothing I do will reconnect it unless I take my other mouse, go into bluetooth devices, delete it and readd it all over again.

WHY THE HELL does it keep doing this lol?

It's very annoying, I sit down to watch a movie and discover I cant start it without first going into the other room and readding my mouse.

I'm well within range and I've tried moving the bluetooth mouse to the same room as the PC to use it with the PC and it still does the same thing.

A:Bluetooth driver for Acer Aspire 5253-BZ661 but no bluetooth hardware?

May be a option on some models.

Hello Every once in a while, my Microsoft bluetooth mouse stops working. Then I check the bluetooth device in the Windows device manager and it is no longer there, as if my laptop didn't have bluetooth at all. The only work-arround is to reboot. Then it works for a while, can be days or sometimes maybe even weeks before it stops working again. I found this article https://support.lenovo.com/ca/en/solutions/ht506394 which seems to describe my problem. Unfortunately, the proposed solution doesn't work as my driver is already up to date ( Any idea?

installed intel ac-3160 dual band + blue tooth in a Sony notebook system wont allow blue tooth to start.
also there is no interface available to connect any hardware to it, i know it has something to do with some Vaio software on the system.
it allows me to use dual band mode and it shows that blue tooth is present but disables it claiming interference with 2.4 GHz band.
now i have had blue tooth dongles installed working while using 2.4 GHz band before with no issues, so i don't get the issue now.
any input would be appreciated.
thankx Karl K
