I recommend downloading and running DAP. It can help sort out any driver and firmware related issues on your system

It's worked out well for many of us in the past.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloaddap.org. (This link will open the download page of DAP so you can save a copy to your computer.)

Hello Everyone, I've just installed the HP Client Integration Kit (v.3.0.1.1) and I'm trying to create a new HP Client Boot Image using the WinPE 10 x64 driver pack. When I select the SoftPaq it tells me that: "The selected driver pack is not supported for customization in this environment. Either your configuration manager site is not at the minimum patch level, or does not have the required version of the Windows Assessment and Deployment Kit (ADK)." We're currently running SCCM 2012 v1511 and I have both 8.1 ADK and 10 v1511 ADKs installed. This is all running on Server 2012 R2 The pre-requisite according to the HP documentation for this is that SCCM 1511 and ADK v10 are to be installed. Well they are installed but I'm still getting that error. If I choose to use the WinPE 5 Driver Pack I don't get the error, but there are no options within the Base Boot Image(s) section and I'm unable to proceed. Has anyone run into this before? Any thoughts?

Hi ,
I want to run some 32bit applications in a 64 bit WinPE4.0 (or 5.0 both are ok) . I know that a WOW64 subsystem is needed for this to happen. But I don't know how to include this WOW64 to my WinPE4.0 image using Windows ADK. If anybody have an idea about
this please share.

I have a WinPE stick for Macrium 32bit that I use on my Asus Transformer Windows 8.1. It works perfectly for all devices EXCEPT for the micro SDXC card. With the installed Macrium I created an image on the micro SDXC card and I was also able to recover from it with the installed Macrium. But the Macrium on the WinPE does not see the micro SD card.

My plan was to keep a couple of images on the SD card so that I am protected when on the road. But if I cannot initiate the restore, then that is not a good plan.

Does anybody know how to get that missing SDXC card driver (I suspect that is the problem) on the WinPE.

A:Driver on my WinPE missing

Since 115 people who looked at this thread apparently had no clue either, I made some more research. I think I found part of the answer here (Solution 2):

Driver load issues in WinPE

Now I have to find the SDXC driver.

Is there a driver for NVMe-SSD the can be added/loaded in WinPE and Symantec System Recovery ?Without such a driver the SSD is not recognized by System Recovery. The available Windows-driver (exe-file) can not be used for this, because it has to be a inf-driver.With such a driver the often discussed problems of inaccessible NVMe-SSDs (Windows-installation/recovery) could be solved.

Solved!

Go to Solution.

A:WinPE-driver for NVMe-SSD

I think WinPE 5.0 (based on Win8.1 kernel) already has drivers to support NVMe SSD.

Here's what Macrium Reflect showed when I was building the "rescue media" (USB key) for my P70, which has NVMe SSD as boot drive.  I did have to opt for WinPE 5.0 in order to get support for UEFI BIOS and GPT formatting on drives, as WinPE 3.1 (based on Win7) and WinPE 4.0 (based on Win 8.0) were insufficient.

I would think if you used WinPE 5.0 you'd also have the same results.  I had no problem using this Macrium Reflect "rescue media" to do the cloning of my HDD spinner over to the newly installed NVMe SSD, standalone booted to this USB key.  Worked perfectly.

Hi, I have been trying to track down a problem where WinPE was locking my domain user account out while imaging a PC over the network. I found that my account gets locked out when the time/date is incorrect on the WinPE machine (when I am connected
to a network share).
Is there a way of automatically setting or doing a time sync with the time server when WinPE first boots? I would also like to be able to do this without providing any domain credentials.

It's also worth noting that we use the
same boot image for locations in different time zones.
Also, if someone could explain why this locks my account out then I would be really happy... :)

Yeah Buddy!

A:Set time and date in WinPE automatically (WinPE 3 and 4)

Actually.. try this
net time /DOMAIN:<YourDomain.TheWhole.Thing> /SET /Y
This has the advantage of hitting the local/near server so it 'should' set it to the correct local time.

Hi all.

I've just received a shiny Z30-B (PT251A-008002) which will - if I can get this working - become the new workhorse for the work fleet.
Nice machine.

My only hurdle so far, is the very first one, getting it to boot into WinPE so I can apply a Task Sequence, and build it from SCCM.
I've found the correct LAN driver on the Intel website and applied it to the boot image, but it doesn't work.
I require the WinPE drivers.

The Intel package does contain "WinPE" drivers, but they don't actually seem to apply to my model laptop (if I look in the .inf file), and do not load, I tried them anyway.

If there was an SCCM driver package for this laptop, it would be awesome.
Failing that, just the LAN driver for WinPE would be perfect.

Appreciate any help or advice.

Thanks
Ryan

I'm getting ready to deploy a boatload of Elite X2 1012 G1 tablets and am booting into UEFI. I'm using Microsoft's MDT 2013 to deploy Windows 10 and our applications with a USB stick. The deployments go well and everything installs correctly. My problem is that in the initial WinPE environment, UEFI makes the screen resolution very small and the MDT 2013 wizard pages are almost unreadable. Does anyone know if there is a WinPE-specific driver for the Intel HD Graphics 515 adapter? I've opened and case with Microsoft and they've pushed it back to HP believing it's a driver issue.

I have tried the WinPE boot drivers and direct from Intel. I have download 5 different versions of the this drive and tried x86 and x64 and still not able to get the WinPE to boot.

I downloaded the driver pack for the M710-q ThinkCentre for Windows 7 Pro x64 and imported the drivers to my MDT setup. However, when I deploy the image, I have an issue with the Bluetooth device in Device manager. It's throwing an error "Windows was unable to start this device." I downloaded the Bluetooth driver from the driver download page for this model PC, imported it into MDT, updated the deployment share, but I still have this error. I contacted Lenovo support and their suggestion was to reinstall the OS from installation media and closed my ticket immediately after. I have a stack of 30 computers that I need to deploy in the next month or so, but I can't deploy them with incomplete drivers. Is there anyone else having this problem, and is there a way to resolve the issue with the driver pack?

As for graphics.  It came with a Intel UHD Graphics 620 and Nvidia GeForce MX250 with 2GB GDDR5 memory.

For connectivity it came with 2 USB 3.1 Gen1 ports, 1 USB Type-C, 1 HDMI 1.4, 1 Thunderbolt 3, a MicroSD Card reader and 1 Audio Jack.  An interesting feature on this laptop that I personally have not seen before is the left side USB C port can charge other USB C devices.  It can output 5V at 1.5A. I just got a T590 and started using it last week. I have two pairs of speakers, one (Harman Kardon) a little nicer than the other (Alans). When I first started using the laptop, I could play music using the Harman Kardon speakers just fine. A couple days in, I played music from the Alans speakers. After that, I tried to play music again from the HKs, but it won't work. It's almost like the laptop thinks the HK speakers are a microphone. When I connected them, a little microphone icon appeared on the screen. Under the sound settings in the control panel, it showed both external speakers and an external microphone, and when I tried to play music, it would show that the volume of the external microphone was very high, and the volume of the external speakers on but very low. The sound coming though the speakers was soft, garbled, and mixed with a lot of noise. I got the same results with a pair of headphones. The Alans speakers still work. In the Device Manager, my sound controller is "Realtek High Definition Audio(SST)". I have tried both disabling and re-enabling it, and uninstalling it and letting the computer reinstall, and downloading the driver from Lenovo and manually reinstalling. This did not fix the problem. It is the latest version (6.0.1.8673). I saw in this post something about using a driver called "High Definition Audio Device" (the generic one from Windows?), but I didn't see that as an option when I tried to update the driver using available driver... Have you considered installing a Linux OS instead of Windows? Linux installers would likely identify the hardware and install
the proper drivers. Choosing the best Linux OS for that computer would depend on what it's resources are...amount of memory
for instance.
Unless you need XP for some program that will only run in XP then Linux would be a good choice.

If you would seriously consider using a Linux OS you can download one for free, burn it to a CD, DVD or a flash drive install.
Most Linux OSes can be run as Live, which means it doesn't even need a hdd....only will run from memory. Which allows you
to test for compatibility of the computer and you before deciding to install.

There is a Linux forum here at BC if you need assistance or recommendations.

hello

I am new be I would like to uninstall  Driver Pack Solution 14 Beta. I  downloaded it  to reinstall drivers after upgrading from Xp Home to Professional.  I choose  Driver pack solution.   Microsoft has stopped supporting Windows xp and the drivers are no longer available  at the maker website.  The computer is 12 years and runs well other wise.    After the clean install I couldn't get online to download antivirus software and got one Trojan virus setting the computer up.   The  drivers were installed  by  flash drive.  Trying to uninstall form Add and Remove programs  ( where it no longer appears ) an  active  desktop icon appears and opens when I click on it.  Driver Pack  also appears in control panel.

When  I run a Kaspersky  virus  removal  scan it doesn't complete due to a conflict with Driver Pack Solution.

I have tried the program Unlocker and  free software such as Revo and  other programs like it.   But Driver pack doesn't populate in any of them to uninstall.  Attempted  a simple tutorial to delete what ever I could from the registry.    I  am just a new be and want to uninstall to remove ... Hello everyone, I'll keep this short. I'm willing to dual boot Ubuntu with the pre loaded Win10 (which I needed and need for work purposes, thus not getting the developer Ed. ). In the drivers and downloads section there is a driver pack available which seem to address a series of issues. I'm not completely new to Linux but can't seem to find an installation script or something. Do I just need to install every *.deb or am I missing something?
PS. I know they are for 15.04 but that's fine, I need it to be reliable not cutting edge
Thanks in advance
