I recommend downloading and running DAP. It can help sort out any driver and firmware related issues on your system

It's worked out well for many of us in the past.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloaddap.org. (This link will open the download page of DAP so you can save a copy to your computer.)

I re-installed Kaspersky (No learning curve here, is there? ) Computer seemed to work fine. but wanted another windows critical update. I did that and when system rebooted I was back to the subject error...
I can reboot the system in safe mode (only) No safe mode with command prompt nor internet connection. I can't roll back to before Kaspersky was installed now and safe mode won't let me un-install.
I can't attach the usual BSOD files because I can't get to internet on her computer to attach them.
What information can I provide you to help me resolve this issue?

If you have the win 7 dvd you can boot from it and do a repair install. Kas is like that sometimes. Safer bet for the future (regarding bsod's only) is Microsoft security essentials.

Hi and welcome to the forum. Sorry you are having trouble.I looked at your three most recent dumps. Each of them is the same error code and each directly blame e1q62x64.sys, which is your IBM Intel-based Gigabit and Fast Ethernet adapter driver. This driver is up to date. Here is something you can read for further information on this driver: ASUSTeK Computer Inc.-Forum- Bluescreening Like Crazy. Seems as though others are having a problem with this driver. You can try reinstalling this driver to see if it helps. Here is the link: http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Default.aspx

This driver, iqvw64e.sys - HP Network Teaming Virtual Miniport Driver Driver File List or HP Network Teaming Virtual Miniport Driver, shows up in your dump on the unloaded module list. This means the driver was involved in the crash, but not necessarily the cause. That is a possibility, though. I cannot find a date for this driver nor can I find its location on your computer. But according to the HP site, its date is 8 July 2008. This makes it an obsolete driver and likely not compatible with Win 7. http://members.driverguide.com/drive...4&action=filfo. Do a search of your C: drive, using Windows Explore, for this driver. Make sure your Folders options are set to view hidden and system files. My guess is that it located in your Programs files folder in an HP folder. It it is an outdated driver, it can be causing a conflict with your Ethernet card driver. If you find the driver, please post the lo... Read more

I found out my problem was that my Video Card isnt up to date so I updated.
I updated and im still getting the same issue.

I looked at my EPU-4 Engine and when i click on VGA it says VGA not detected.
Can someone please tell me what the possible problem can be and how I can fix this?

My graphics card is a ATI Radeon HD 4600 1024mb.

I cant attach mini-dumps because for some odd reason it I apparently dont have permission so if anyone know how to bypass through this please let me know.

Are you referring to a permission denial by attempting to attach the dumps directly? You'll need to zip them first before sending them over, as only certain file types are permitted. Plus there's a 5 MB limit (doubt that's the cause though).

First and foremost, can this be caused by cpu overclock? Because everything online talks about ram(memory diagnostic checks out) and drivers.

Also if this could help anything. this issue started after i removed the vista antspyware 2012 virus and since the error began my network adapter also is unable to fully connect to ANY network wired or over wifi.

Hi All -

I have a lenova laptop running windows xp. I recently added a Kaspersky protection and since then I've been getting the same blue screen with error message IQRL not less or equal. Then it shuts down and restarts. This happens almost everytime I log on or turn on my computer. I've tried to look up whats wrong and I'm concerned that this may be too complicated for for me to fix on my own. I don't want to pay another $100+ to the tech person to fix it. Not that they aren't worth the money, I just don't have the money right now. I'm hoping I'll be able to fix it on my own.

Hi PepeC  ^_^,
Umm, I think the driver name written by you is wrong . Could you please crosscheck?
I would need the Dump files in order to analyse the situation your system is in and help cure it ^_^.
Please note that without the Dump files, I can't help you out.
Kindly ZIP Up the dump files and then upload them to a File Hoster like Mediafire. The Dump files are located in "C:\Windows\Minidumps". You might need to copy them to some other folder before zipping them due to permission issues.
Once they are uploaded, paste back a link to it here and I would be glad to analyse them ^_^.
Also, upload the ZIP File (Contains MSINFO32) created by this tool over **HERE**.

Hello, I have had my Lenovo G780 since 2013 it still runs like new. I have to replace the keyboard since I spilled some water on it. I figured I mighty as well upgrade teh RAM as well. It came with 6GB or RAM and from what I have read it only upgrades to 8GB. I don't want to buy something not compatable. Am I buying 1 stick of 8GB OR 2 4GB sticks? What kind do I need to buy and what brand? Lenovo G780  20138. INTEL i7 nvidia 635 m.   Also, I have always wanted to replace the wifi card. Hello. I am currently using a Lenovo G780 laptop, which I use mostly for gaming, and it handles it pretty well, but overheats quite a lot too. I have speedfan, and I was wondering how to access the fans? In the speedfan menu it shows nothing for the fans. I overheat a lot and it causes lag spikes.

Anyone help me out before I chuck this off a wall!? I have a Lenovo G780 laptop... it is not powering on at all. After reading a few posts I've taken out the battery and removed the power cord and then held the power button for 30 secs, 10 secs etc and now put the battery and power cord back in and the battery light at the front will turn on to say it is charging, when I hit the power button the power button lights up and the front power light turns on also, after 3 seconds approx the lights turn back off.  Nothing appears on the screen, no fans. no noises that I can hear? What the heck has happened everything has been fine? I purchased the laptop December 2012 and for the last year no problems at all apart from maybe some little problems regarding Lenovo Solution Centre where it tried to update something and I had to roll it back. My warranty ran out on the 21st December 2013!!!!!!!How to proceed?

Hi everybody!I have a Lenovo G 780 Ideapad dating Q4/12. Recently I have done an upgrade to HDD 1TB 5400 RPM and installed SSD Kingston A400 240 GB. I am fully satisfied with the boot time, shut down time, surfing the web has been done much faster and very much easier with SSD installed. So, I have also replaced 1x4GB DDR3 1600 Hynix which has been originally installed with two new modules 2x4GB DDR3L Samsung 1600 MHz. Thing that is a must have for a PC's after 2016/2017 considering Win10 consumes more RAM and Youtube and video gaming need of it, hungry for!! Now at this point the specs are the following: pentium 2020M 2.40 GHz, mbo U3E1 lenovo chipset HM76, G2 socket, gpu Geforce GT635M 2048MB VRAM DDR3. Now to the point! Considering the GPU is not a component that can be replaced I am asking ih there is possible to upgrade processor?I was thinking aboutthe  Ivy Bridge 3rd Gen Intel Core i7 series CPU. Perhaps the i7 3612QM 2,1GHz w/turbo 3,1GHz 6MB L3 cache TDP 35W would do? Or even the i7 3632QM which is clocked at 3,20GHz quad core?IS THIS COMPATIBLE? TY

My Laptop's fan has been making a lot of noise the last few days, i already checked a lot of forum's, so i've already checked the easier solutions. I have removed the dust from my fan (there was almost no dust!) I checked my laptops CPU usage, it was at about 3%, so it's not because the CPU is overheated. It just starts making a lot of noise for no apparant reason i think. What can i do? should i just install a new fan? according to me, my fan is in good condition, as far as i can tell. The only reason that my laptop is getting hot is because of the fan turning all the time.  My computer doesn't detect any problems. But the noise is really irritating.  Thanks for support.

A:Lenovo G780 Fan noise

Welcome to the Lenovo Community !
Sorry to hear of the noise problem.  Is the fan making a grinding or chatter sound?   If so, that would be a indication that the bearings in the fan are failing.  If the noise is nothing more than rushing air, that maybe caused by the fan ramping up to full speed to cool the laptop down.  Previously the laptop may have not gotten that hot so the rush of air was less noticeable.
As for temperature, I would recommend you download and use a free utility called HWMonitor.  It will report the internal temperatures of the laptop and give a better indication if it is over heating.  If it is over heating, the solution maybe a quick fix by re-applying the thermal paste on the heat sink.  Here is a link to that utility.  It comes in two versions. First, a portable one that can run from a flash drive of folder on your laptop.  The second version installs on the hard drive.
Your model's Hardware Maintenance Manual will explain how to disassemble the laptop for fan replacement or thermal paste application.  Here is a link to the manual.....

If Lenovo tech support didn't suggest returning the laptop, I would venture to guess there are no hardware issues. If that is the case, I would wait for the disk from Lenovo and call them for support after receiving the disk and before doing the new installation of the OS.

First of all I want to say that I am extremely disappointed with the experience I had with my Lenovo. After I bought it I found out that Lenovo, for some reason, disabled the Turbo Boost option of the CPU. I tried to fix it by entering the BIOS but the options there were limited, so I decided to update the BIOS. I downloaded the BIOS update for 64-bit windows(i am running windows 8 which is compatible with the said update utillity). I ran the .exe and followed all the instructions (did not shut-down restart or anything my computer). After installing it automatically restarted and a Lenovo logo prompted on the screen followed by ">>Start PXE over IPv6, Press [ESC] to EXIT..." after that "EFI Network 0 for IPv6(numbers and letters) boot failed". Then ">>Start PXE over IPv4" which failed and a blue box poped saying "Default Boot Device Missing or Boot Failed. Insert Recovery Media and Hit any ket then select boot manager to choose a new boot device or to boot recovery media". Pressed ok and got me to Boot Manager screen. Boot option Menu had only EFI Network 0 for IPv6 and EFI Network 0 for IPv4". What should I do?Note that I tried to start up both with and without the ethernet cable in.

Hi guys,I have a problem with a Lenovo G780, Windows 7 64bit OS. After installing all necessary drivers - I saw there are two graphic cards - one Nvidia Geforece GT680 and another Intel HD4000. I had to boot up in Safe Mode, disable the Intel HD 4000 graphic driver and reboot - it will start up normally BUT the HDMI will not work when I plug in a HDMI cable into the socket. My TV will display "no signal".But when I enable the Intel HD 4000 driver and reboot the laptop, the laptop will start, then screen blank, my TV will show a blank screen with the 1600x900 resolution setting but remained blank, and laptop will freeze. Help! This is driving me insane! Note: this is a freshly formatted unit.

I have searched all related topics and none help me with this specific problem. I purchased a Lenovo g780 three days ago and already have noticed a horribly annoying problem. I had not been aware of a feature called PalmCheck until I tried playing PC games (I use Skyrim, Assassin's Creed etc...) and PalmCheck makes them unplayable. As far as I can tell, this is literally the only model that does not offer the feature under mouse settings to disable PalmCheck. I do not want to completely disable my touch pad, I simply want PalmCheck off. Is there a way to manually do this or an older driver that I can install to have the ability to disable this?

Dear Forum Users, Support, I have a G780 and I would like to play with Dungeon Hunter 5, but it quitted. It was strange, so I checked in BIOS the assigned memory. It was just 256 Mb, so I modified the intergrated VGA memory settings all to max (increased the assigned memory), but after F10 (save and exit) the machine does not start. It has 6 Gb memory (4+2). Simptoms: just turning the DVD drive, making some noise for the HDD but afterwards just "click" and restarts. (bootloop). "Lenovo" screen does not appear.  Do you have any method to go back to factory defaults for BIOS?Right now I can not enter to BIOS setting either! Please, I need urgent help!

I have tried the 15 sec "push the power button without cord attached", does not help (tried with battery taken out, and stay in).

I have a Lenovo G780 and my heaphone jack is broken. I do have a USB interface that I use for mixing music that allows me to use headphones, but that's not always convenient. Stock sound card and driver. Is there a way to reroute sound so that I can use my microphone jack as an audio out? I think I've tried everything short of opening her up and messing with the wiring. Any help would be appreciated

HiAfter unsuccessful BIOS update I made a brick from my G780. Maybe notfully. SYmptoms are below. When I pressing power ON button I hear a fan, HDD and DVD and led frompower, battery lights on, and led from hdd blinks one time. After thatnumlock's led is on. On screen I see nothing. It is just black. Even indark room when I'm flashing directly on it still see nothing. In thisstate Laptop react for pressing capslock or numlock buttons andchanging their state ON/OFF. I tried to do emergency BIOS flashing by unplugging AC, holding Fn-Band then power button. FAN is spinning on highest speed, pendrive thatI used blinks one time and after about 10 seconds starting flashingwith led for 20 or more seconds. I seems like reading bios QIWG5.binfile, but after those 20 seconds nothing happens. I read that G780should make one short beep, and after a while should start beeping ininterval several times. Instead of this is only silence and after a fewminutes shutting down without success. Symptoms are still like insecond paragraph. I tried every USB port, with or without battery, original BIOS that wasbefore update, this new bios. Pendrive is formatted in FAT16.Any suggestions about what else can I do?Best regards, Peter*sorry for my English I didn't use it since school)

Try hooking up an external monitor and see if it works. If it still does not work contact Lenovo by phone to set up hardware service.CB

Hello, my Lenovo laptop running on Windows 8.1 has been stuck on "Repairing disk errors. This might take over an hour to complete." I've never had any problems with it in the 3 years of using it. I turned it off normally, then in the morning it was started up, went normally through the password part, then it was supposedly loading too long, so my mom shut it down and restarted it and then the program asked to do a system restore to a previous point in time and now it has been stuck on "Repairing disk errors.." for over 16 hours now. There is only the power light on and the fan is working, as well as the keyboard, but the screen only shows the Lenovo logo and the "Repairing disk errors." text. Should I wait and leave it alone, or what should I do? Can I turn it off or will I damage it?

Hello together,I'm currently struggeling to change the graphics driver of my Lenovo G780 Notebook.Until now, everything is running via Intel Onboard Graphics and i can't switch to the nVidia card. (See Screenshots)Additionally i can't even set the usual options in nVidia System control panel, there are only 3D-Settings...As you may already know, the G780 has only one physical VGA-Output, but the control panel shows two of them My drivers are all the recent ones and updated...  Did someone experience something like that in the past?I'm even open for highly programming-focused answers (I'm a tech guy myself but this is quite hard to solve).Thank you already now for your answers

Dear all, After updating to windows 10 everything worked perfectly. At least I didn't recognized any problems. But after an automatically update of windows 10 I have a problem with my external display. I think that this is caused by driver update. This is the problem: normally I start the laptop by pushing the on button and shut down the display of the laptop and work via external display connected via HDMI. When I opened the internal display the screen switched automatically to the internal display. After shutting down the internal display the external display popped up and I worked with the external display. After the update I can only switch by changing it in windows. Nothing automatically works. I'm sure that this has to be a problem with the Intel HD 4000 driver or the audio driver (which is connected to Intel HD 4000?) I tried everything like switching to older driver, deleting driver, update driver. Nothing worked... Can someone please help me with that? Best regards, derbecky And sorry for the bad English.

I recently bought a new Lenovo G780, as my old HP laptop failed on me. However, the harddrive from my HP was fine, so when I got the new computer I decided to just take the harddrive out of my HP and put it into my new Lenovo. I've got the drivers for everything else to work, except my wireless network adapter refuses to install drivers from any source I can find. The adapter is an Atheros AR9285. I've tried lenovo's online drivers, and have even bought Driver Manager and asked the support staff to find drivers that work for me. They said they found one that worked, but I tried installing it and it said that "This computer is not manufactured by Quanta Computers" and then didn't install it. I have them working on that right now. But seriously, if they don't find a solution, what could the problem be? And how do I get my network adapter working again?

Here is some additional important information:
-The harddrive they gave me came with windows 7 x64 home edition. I am using windows 7 x64 professional.
-The wireless network adapter works if I use the harddrive the computer came with
-I am a chemical engineering college student who needs internet to do his assignments, and this little netgear usb adapter my friend lent me isn't cutting it

Please help me. Let me know if you need any further information

A:Lenovo G780 replaced harddrive, network adapter drivers fail

Hello and welcome nitro Mate one thing I didn't see you mention is the Device Manager in Control Panel have you tried that yet? CP > Device manager > open it up like in pic right click the adaptor > it will ask you to look for updates - it may come back as the correct one or not. See pic first.

If not have a look at this thread Best Atheros AR 9285 Driver? - Tech Support Forum there maybe something in there.

Hello,  I have the Lenovo y40 with the intel i7-4510 and wthe AMD Radeon R9 M275 graphics card. About 1 month ago, I was in the middle of a game when my computer just shut down and gave me a blue screen. Since then, I have been unable to run my computer with the graphics driver enabled. At first, I thought it may be a driver issue and have tried both the Lenovo drivers from their page (which seemed a bit outdated) as well as the AMD drivers from the website, neither of which have worked.  Furthermore, I did do a fresh install today in hopes that would fix it, however, it did not. I get the same thing, the moment it recognizes that the AMD card is working I get a BSOD.  Some of the error codes that I have gotten with the BSODs are as follow: THREAD_STUCK_IN_DEVICE_DRIVER, BAD_POOL_HEADER, KERNAL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE, SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION, BAD_POOL_CALLER, VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE, and KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED (NTFS.sys).

Hi, I have a Yoga 3 1470 (80JH) with an onboard Intel Graphics 5500 GPU (Broadwell GT2). I recently completed a clean Win10 install (it shipped with 8.1) and since the upgrade the GPU utilisation (3D) will randomly hit 95-100%, this has a major impact on performance and the utilisation does not drop until the machine is reloaded. The only workaround I've found is to run the basic microsoft display driver, but obviously this is has very limited capability so is not a long term option. - Tried numerous drivers, both OEM & generic Intel. (it is currently back on latest OEM driver .4835)- Upgraded BIOS- Tweaked power settings- Tweaked Intel Control Panel Settings - Increased the dedicated video memory to 512MB- Disabled Background Apps - Ran Diagnostics Checks Using microsoft process monitor, during the high utilisation events there are no processes excessivly loading up the GPU so I am a little lost. I'm at the point where I think either the Yoga 3 80JH model has compatibility issues with Win10 but came up with nothing when looking for similar issues on the web, or....potentially I have a hardare probleim here (although it passes Lenovo diagnostics checks?). Any help/suggestions is greatly appreciated..

Hi guys, I am trying to install the old Intel HD Graphics driver because the constant brightness of the screen is killing my eyes. It's the last possible solution there is, I've installed patches, done everything I can possibly think of. My X1 is brand new and the brightness issue popped up as soon as I updated it for the first time.  Windows won't let me install the older version of the driver. Please, lots of karma and positive thoughts your way if you can help me out on this. have tried phoning into the help line and they really don't give the impression they care, one of the call centre respondees said to me "Well, if your screen is working what's the problem?". First time buyer of a Lenovo product - not impressed thus far.
