I recommend downloading and running DAP. It can help sort out any driver and firmware related issues on your system

It's worked out well for many of us in the past.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloaddap.org. (This link will open the download page of DAP so you can save a copy to your computer.)

Hi Hari333,Installing the drivers for realtek will not work. The drivers only work when the corresponding hardware components are on the system. If you want to install a 5.1 home theater then you may need to install a usb sound card. Hope this helps.Cheers,

Hi, I am having some issues with the wireless connection. I first tried to install the win7 Realtek WLAN Driver, the version that's on the site (Liteon_11.0.0.612 Broadcom_7.12.26.27 Realtek_2023.19.831.2015), but I get a "No Matched Wireless Device In This System" message.I installed the Intel WLAN Driver and was able to connect to the wifi but I'm not able to access the router's page on 192.168.1.1. Also when I try to access a radio stream, it takes about 10 minutes to load it and it stops playing after another 10 minutes (as if it had buffered/downloaded those 10 mins). I have another pc connected to the same network and both of these things work just fine, so it seems to be an issue only with this pc.Other than this, the web pages seem to work ok as well, no loading issues. So a couple of questions:1. Should those 2 wlan drivers (intel and realtek) be both installed or on the contrary, just one?2. If I should install the realtek driver (even if just for testing) can somenone point me to a version that works with this system?3. Could those 2 issues above be related to drivers or something else that needs installed? So far I have installed chipset, wlan, lan drivers and in the devce manager I have no unknown devices.I tried ipconfigs, pings, tracerts but didn't see anything suspicious and nothing fixed this. Could a vpn client installed on another computer that's connected through a cable to the same network influence the router? I installed one years ago and I re... Read more

Hello, I just purchased a Lenovo IdeaPad 110-15ISK and the volume is very low.  I have done the following:- Install the audio drivers.- Augmented the volume to 100% by holding FN+F3.- Augmented the volume to 100% in the Windows audio settings.- Disabled the audio enhancements. If I can't do anything else, this is very disappointing. My phone's speakers play louder than this laptop, this is ridiculous. So please, tell me there are solutions and that these speakers can actually play louder than what it is right now for me. Because right now I am about to return this laptop and go with another company. I know this is a cheap laptop, but I would still expect better because a speaker from the dollar store plays louder than this laptop. The sound is especially low on Netflix, and this is one of the reason this laptop was bought. It is a bit better on YouTube, but it's still disappointing. I tried running the Windows 10 Netflix app or running Netflix from a browser, either way, the audio is low.

The Conexant Audio Driver, version 8.66.29.63, released 1/22/2017 can't be downloaded. Here is the link to the driver: http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/products/Laptops-and-netbooks/100-series/110-15isk/80UD/downloads/DS... When I click download, it just keeps loading in my downloads and never truly downloads. All other drivers can be downloaded successfully. This audio driver just stays at 0 and never completes. I have tried downloading on multiple computers and different networks but this is still the case. Can Lenovo please correct this issue? The driver needs to be properly put up so people can actually download it from Lenovo's website or put up the driver in an alternate mirror link in case the Lenovo website has issues. Thank you.

Well first of I would run a disk check since it has been hanging,  Right click on Start, select Command Prompt (Admin) and in the command windows type: chkdsk /f   Press Enter and type Y to schedule the scan for the next boot, and then restart the system. Once that is complete I would check for an updated video driver at support.lenvo.com Does it only occur on a particular game, or just any game?    If just one game, have you checked the game boards for anyone else having that issue?       Also check to make sure your laptops vents are clear of dust, and use a Vacuum to clean them if needed.

The OS is Windows 10. When I plug the hdmi cable, the image works fine, but SOMETIMES the audio comes only from the computer speakers. The tv is not listed in the playback devices, even though the disabled and disconnected devices are ticked to be shown. A restart appears to solve this temporarily. I've been trying to find a pattern (guessing it was some kind of interaction with the headphones jack, or maybe having the tv off at the time of plugging the hdmi in, etc), but I've failed so far. It looks totally random to me. I've also updated the drivers, etc Any suggestions? Thank you

This has been a problem from the first day. If I have Youtube playing, I can't hear anything on a Facebook video. If I have Ableton Live open, I can't hear anything on Youtube. Same thing for Youtube and Facebook; it happens within the same web browser, too. This applies for every single program and/or window that has audio. Not only does no audio come out, but the video also doesn't play. This is especially frustrating since I make music. Does anyone have any fixes they can suggest? I really appreciate the help!

Today, I updated my Realtek Audio Driver to version 6.0.1.7831 (dated 7/21/2016). After installation, I immediately realized that the taskbar icon changed from Dolby to Realtek default icon:? -> ? Next, I went to Programs and Features and found out that "Dolby Audio X2 Windows APP" disappeared from the list. Originally, both of these Dolby programs came with the laptop:? After the update, I was only left with this:? The impact of this is that I can no longer toggle the different sound features provided by the Dolby App. I contacted Lenovo via online chat support but the personnel insists Dolby is not a supported program by Lenovo without giving me a valid solution or answer. Did Lenovo omit Dolby App in the latest Audio Driver by mistake? Or did Lenovo intentionally removed it due to the vulnerability explained here: "Dolby Audio X2 (DAX2) privilege escalation" https://support.lenovo.com/sg/en/product_security/len_4884#/IdeaPad. If anybody is facing the same issue / has any solutions / answers, kindly leave a comment below. Over the weekend I got a pop up from Avast saying a threat was blocked (pictured below):(I checked the virus chest today and there was nothing there. I also ran malwarebytes yesterday and it didn't find anything harmful on my laptop).I closed out the message but then about 2 days after that Avast message, after the computer initially turned on, this error message popped up:Can someone please explain to me what this means?  For the record, my battery gauge has been acting strange lately, it will not get to "fully charged" status when plugged into the AC adapter - it stops when there is about 5%-9% left until it is fully charged. I also just noticed about an hour ago that when it got down to below 40%, it did not seem to be reading the estimated time left and perctentage left consistently as one kept fluctuating while the other stayed pretty constant (for the record, I was not really using the laptop at the time so there was no big change in needed energy output).  Thanks in advance!

Realtek HD Audio Manager is a software driver used on Windows computers. It handles recording and playback of audio programs. It is required for many audio programs to operate.

While Realtek HD Audio Drivers is a tool that allows you to listen to audio in HD on your PC.

Stereo Mix is used to transfer audio that the PC is playing to recording software such as Audacity, so that you can record what you?re hearing.

When one upgrade their OS like in your case from XP to Win7 with the same motherboard and sound card it is always advised & recommended to download the latest soundcard driver, because the only thing that had changed was the operating system.

The advice is not to go to windows for it, but to go to the motherboard manufacturer, because it would be specialised for the system rather than ... Read more

Try re-installing the sound driver.
If you don't have it to install, you can download it from the PC manufacturer's website.
It may be a good idea to uninstall the existing sound driver first in case it's corrupted.
Installing new driver over the old one should fix the corruption but better play it safe and remove it first.

Windows has detected that audio enhancements for the following device are causing problems

Disabling the enhancements gives me sound again, but I know there was a solution with Vista.

It first happened today after 3 weeks of using the R2.34 drivers without incident, but now both that and the new R2.35 drivers are doing the same thing.

I'm running windows 10 on an HP Omen and after most recent windows update, my computers internal speakers are unavailable, as are any wired connected audio devices. Sound icon says no speakers or headphones are plugged in. Device manager, under sound, video, and game controllers does not show realtek HD audio. This only appears when I go to view and select show hidden devices. Then, under properties, I can see Code 45 (hardware device not connected. To fix, reconnect). I have attempted driver fixes including driver version 6.0.1.8591. Troubleshooters for audio detected nothing. I have tried rolling back the windows update.

I cannot find any sites that recommend steps beyond checking driver for the device. I've also tried calling HP tech support twice, and both times representatives told me they needed more time to find a solution (which they have failed to do).

Anyone who has dealt with this issue or has thoughts, any advice appreciated.

I'm running windows 8.1 on Toshiba Qosmio X875 Q7190. My computer kept crashing after trying to install Sabrent display adapter. I booted into recovery and did a system restore. Everything works fine now except the sound. I have visited Toshiba's website and downloaded the most recent Realtek drivers. When I install I get the error "HD Audio Driver Failure error code: 0xC0000374". If I go to device manager it shows realtek but with an error next to it. If I look under playback devices nothing is listed. I have deleted the drivers and tried letting the computer install them automatically but that doesn't work either. Two solutions I have seen were to disable and delete Microsoft UAA HD bus driver, but that is nowhere to be found on my machine and the other solution was to enable on board audio in Bios, but that optioin doesn't appear in UEFI.

After my first system restore I no longer have any additional restore points, so another restore is not an option.

Any idea how I can fix this issue?

Apart from the audio driver, it is critical to have the right chipset driver installed. The VIA southbridge needs to work properly to interface with the vinyl audio processor.
So try installing the chipset driver first, and then the audio driver. And of course make sure all MS updates are installed, including the MS UAA driver.

No sound?

Try the simple things first. Speakers on and working? Plug them into a MP3 player, test that they actually amplify. Speaker plug in the correct socket in the PC? ( I mean not the Mic socket?) Have you looked in 'Device Manager' for a yellow warning by the entry for your sound option? Assume you know all the above, it's most likely still to be the wrong drivers. Go into 'Device Manager' and uninstall any sound drivers. Then go to www.drivereasy.com and download their free program, scan your PC and you will get the right driver I would think. You might also find a few other drivers out of date too. And NO it doesn't cost you to use that program. Hope this helps.

I got a computer running Windows XP (SP3) with Intel motherboard (D915GEV). I currently have working sounds but I cannot use the "Stereo Mix" function to record what I hear through the speakers. I only get a short static noise every couple of seconds.

Looking in Add/Remove Programs I see these two sound drivers:
*High Definition Audio Driver Package - KB888111 (probably responsible for the working sounds)
*Realtek High Definition Audio Driver (that I see no evidence of being installed apart from the existence of Realtek folder inside "Program Files".

This is what I see in Device Manager menu (only the Microsoft UAA driver appears, no Realtek whatsoever):
Image - TinyPic - Free Image Hosting, Photo Sharing & Video Hosting

Plus, in the past the PC used to have AC'97 driver installed as well but I unistalled it months ago.
I tried to remove the Realtek driver but I get this annoying error:
Image - TinyPic - Free Image Hosting, Photo Sharing & Video Hosting
I also get the same error whenever I try to launch a newer version of Realtek HD Audio driver installer, or even execute the AC'97 driver installer.

I created another (second) admin account and the uninstallation worked as it should, but back to my current account it is still present under Add/Remove Programs.

Is my Registry corrupted? Or is this about User permissions not set right?
Thank you

The Microsoft driver showed Realtek at the end. So you uninstalled the Microsoft/Realtek driver that was downloaded from Windows Update automatically. And the original AC97 Reatek driver is still on your computer. To reinstall it, download it from the Intel Website: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Det...ng&ProdId=1674

Help. I recently did a clean install of Windows 7 64bit (on my HP Vista 32 machine). Life is grand! My problems started when I tried to listen to the microphone input through my speakers. The front microphone inputs did not work so I downlaed the Realtek HD Audio Drivers (recently updated) from the realtek site. The inputs now work and I can record from the microphone through the Sound Recorder app in Accessories but can not hear the microphone through the speakers while I am recording. After searching the web I noticed a lot of chatter about setting things up in the Realtek HD Audio Manager. This app does not show up in my control panel. Does anyone know where I can get it (if I really need it). The Realtek site only has the driver download (not the manager). Am I missing something, am I confused, or both?

Hope someone can help me out with my audio problems...

I have an ASUS A54C laptop less than a month old.
-Windows 7, service pack 1.
64 bit.

About a week ago Asus live update automatically installed some updates (I didn't realise I could disable auto update, still getting used to this laptop)
when it restarted a few errors kept popping up and the webcam was not working. After googling I came across forum posts saying you have to manually download the drivers from the website. After doing that the webcam software showed a message "no audio device found" I thought ok, no problem I'll just re-install the audio driver (I had done this a few weeks previously because the built in mic was acting up).

The first half of installation completed, laptop restarted but then gave me the following error when trying to complete the second half:

Install Realtek HD Audio Driver Failure !!
[Error Code: 0x00000002]

Things I've already tried:
-I have tried several times to install the audio driver
-Tried installing different versions
- downloading directly from realtek
-System restore a couple times but it failed.
-Updated the BIOS (although I have no idea what this actually does)

I don't know what else to do.
Please help!

My motherboard is ASUS P8P67-M Pro. The manufacturer doesn't mention any drivers for Windows 10 x64 on their website as you can see here: https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/P8P67M_PRO/HelpDesk_Download/ I tried to use Windows 8.1 x64 drivers, Windows 8 x64 drivers and Windows 7 x64 drivers. None of them worked. I even tried to download drivers directly from Realtek website, it didn't work as well. I am pretty sure the drivers should be fine and work, but I think there is a problem with my operating system. I remember in the past I tried to install printer drivers and I had issues as well (while it worked fine on another PC, only this PC had issues installing the driver) and I also have problem installing the new feature update (Windows 1703), it always ends up with an error, so I can't update to this version as well.
I don't know what to do and I was thinking about re-installing windows, but it is very time consuming for me and I prefer a short solution to resolve this.
Is there any chance someone has any idea how to resolve this problem?
Thank you

A:Error -5006 : 0x8000ffff in Realtek Audio Driver Installation

That driver is showing that its for XP SP2. There >> IS << a driver for it already on your comp
Suggest you go to device manager look for >>Problem devices<<,
or at the audio driver itself
Select update driver > browse >> let me pick >> my comp >> uncheck compatible devices >> scroll to Realtek >> select from right hand pane. (select and update)

I installed the Realtek HD audio driver from the ASUS download site (P8Z68-V Pro MB) and all was well until I installed an MSI 560TI video card and let it install the Nvidia HD Audio drivers. The problem I have been chasing ever since was the Realtek HD Audio Manager popping up after the system exited extended sleep state (overnight). After much trial and tribulation and several Google Searches I concluded that the Realtek/ASUS HD Audio driver was conflicting with the Nvidia driver(s).

I did what suggested on one of the sites and that was to delete the Realtek HD Audio drivers and just let W7 install the default Microsoft drivers. Problem gone! Now I am curious, what did I give up and if I install the latest Realtek driver for W7 64-bit (v267) from the Realtek site will the Nvidia conflict return?

A:ASUS/Realtek, Latest Realtek versus default W7 Audio driver

Generally the Microsoft installed HD Audio Codec does not have all the features the motherboard vendor's sound drivers do. In most cases the actual driver is preferred and should be installed instead of the generic HD Audio Code drivers.

The NVIDIA driver is for the Video and the build in audio for HDMI audio. It should not be interferring with the PC's sound and in this case Realtek. I would uninstall the Microsoft drivers and reinstall the RealTek and see if you still have the problem. Generally a driver causes problems when exiting from sleep mode. Actually on "extended" sleep mode of overnight its really better to just shut down the system and then reboot in the morning. If you want it to be operational when you wake up, the BIOS should have an option for auto power on at whatever time you set.
