I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

My problem is with the latest version of Yahoo Mail. I have recently upgraded to this version and initially messengers for Yahoo and Facebook opened there. But then these are not opening anymore. Whenever i click on the 'New Chat button, i get the message that "Yahoo Messenger is currently loading" or "Yahoo messenger is currently not available".

The biggest problem is that this new version does not allow one to go back to an earlier version. I have another yahoo account also where i luckily did not upgade to the new version. Here yahoo messenger easily opens in Yahoo Mail.

Any solutions?

Yahoo Messenger 9 version, yahoo.co.in e-mail, Yahoo answers, etc. do not run/open on my PC. On attempting to log into Messenger 9 I get an error message: “Please click Try Again to re-enter your ID and password. If you have forgotten you ID or password, click Sign-in Problems”.

Earlier they would open only if they were the first programs I switched on when I would start my PC else I would get an error message “Messenger encountered a connection problem. Please check the network connection and then click "Try Again" (81003004)”.

My computer system: AMD 64 3200+ 2.01Ghz, 1 GB RAM, 80 GB HDD, Windows Professional XP-2, IE 6 with Cookies Enabled, MS Office 2003, BSNL Broadband, Java (TM) 6 update 11, Java (TM) 6 update 7, no Startup programs other than AVG Free version 8. I am based in India.

I have checked with those using the same broadband connection as to not facing any problem with Yahoo.

Yahoo FT Server and Yahoo! Messenger are provided as exceptions in my Windows Firewall. In IE6 under Security Sites I have not blocked any website.

Where could the problem be?

A:how to sign out yahoo mail in IE8?

Little confused on what your trying to do, but if I understand correctly, you are trying to be logged into 2 account at the same time.

This is not possible in any browser as far as i know. They can't support 2 sessions running the same time with the same service. (Conflict with cookies, certs, Authenticated sessions, ect.)

If you were able to do it in IE7, i would say that you were only able to do it because of a glich as i SHOULD have not allowed it.

I'm running Windows XP. Beginning this past Thursday, I have been unable to access my Yahoo mail account; when I type in my password, I'm directed to the "Return to Yahoo! Also a series of dots in the password box indicating that there is an entry there : but it is the wrong number of characters that I use for any of my passwords. Can someone tell me please what's going on and how can I get rid of this spurious log in page that keeps coming up. I have used Yahoo mail for several years without a problem. A couple of weeks ago Yahoo required me to change my password which I did. I always keep a copy of the ID and password so I can cut and paste if needed.
Currently I am signed in on my desktop with the "keep me signed in" box checked. Got a screen this morning saying my screen resolution was too low but this was not the case. Yahoo mail is open and working on the desktop as I type this.
I have been tryng to sign in with this laptop but keep getting "Invalid password or ID". I have accessed mail from this laptop before but not since I bought the new DELL XPS Desktop. I tried looking at Yahoo answers but I need to sign in to ask a question.(Catch 22 ) I get a " This ID is not yet taken " message when trying to sign in to Yahoo answers
I even tried using the cut and paste method when attempting to sign in with this laptop so I know that both ID and password are correct.
Desk top is DELL XPS, WIN 7 Ultimate , 64 bit
Firefox 4.
Laptop is Panasonic Toughbook
XP , SP3
Firefox 3.6.17
I also tried IE but the results is the same.
Is the fact that the Desktop is currently signed in preventing the laptop from doing so? I would expect some sort of box telling me that the account was already signed in elsewhere but this is not the case.
I think that Yahoo mail is rolling out a new version soon. Could this be causing it to act squirrelly???
As always any input is appreciated and I t... Read more

Hi All
I am bumping this because I didn't get any response. Still cannot sign in to Yahoo mail on my primary account with this laptop.I won't rehash what I wrote in the original text. It is still valid.
Update, sort of:
I set up a new Yahoo account on the laptop. No problem signing in to the new account on this laptop.I tried signing in to my primary Yahoo account with my wife"s laptop. Same problem.
To reemphasize. I put the user name and password on a word document. Cut and paste for sign in with the Dell desk top, no problem.Exactly the same procedure with the laptop and No Go.
Also the Desk top has McAfee and the laptop has Comodo
Any Ideas?????????????
Input is welcome!!

My Dad had this problem after ATT forced all subscribers into a new version of ATT Yahoo mail. Suddenly on both his PC's he had to sign back into Yahoo mail every time he opened his browser, even though it was set to only prompt every two weeks. The Save Password prompt was missing from the sign-in box.

Extensive search only found issues with auto-cookie-removal and mentioned settings.

ATT Tech Support says the issue is known to them and being worked on, but no solution has yet been found.

The problem was eventually traced to the desktop shortcut which had lost its ability to reopen securely signed-in Yahoo Mail but only prompts for Sign In. Replace the desktop icon by rightclicking a blank area of Inbox to Create Shortcut or Send to Desktop.

Let's hope ATT support finds this thread.

Has anyone seen this problem before?! I can get to the Yahoo homepage and then into where you sign into yahoo e-mail. Now once I type in my e-mail user ID and password I get "THE PAGE CANNOT BE DISPLAYED" message. It won't even let me into yahoo games (i.e. Canasta - you have to sign into this game). Now I can sign into these anywhere else except home. I am running WIN XP & IE6 on my machine. Here are the things that I have already tried: Internet Options: 1) Cleared Cookies 2) Deleted Files 3) Delete History (not sure where to clear the cache) Downloaded all WIN XP security updates Ran WinDoc to clean up the registry and ran a fix on any of the problems I have made sure that I have no viruses ... ran 3 different scanners. ran a spybot - search & destroy ... I also downloaded Netscape to see if I could get onto Yahoo through there, but that doesn't work either. Changed my security and tried - but to no avail ... so reset them. I have also tried the following ... Go to a command prompt and type:
ENTER after each one
regsvr32 Softpub.dll
regsvr32 Wintrust.dll
regsvr32 Initpki.dll
regsvr32 Dssenh.dll
regsvr32 Rsaenh.dll
regsvr32 Gpkcsp.dll
regsvr32 Sccbase.dll
regsvr32 Slbcsp.dll
regsvr32 Cryptdlg.dll
these re-registers the IE dll's that affect entry to secure websites (one's that need sign-in and passwords).

Oh yes and I can't forget this one too ... Actually, if you rename the hosts file and reboot, WinXP will create a new clean... Read more

Hello! Good Day...

I have a problem with my PC. I was trying to login to my Yahoo Messenger using my account. but i was not able to login successfully. if you are familiar with Yahoo Messenger, the window that appears when you entered a wrong password came out. but i tried many times to enter the password. My sister also tried entering hers' its the same result. We tried logging in Friendster and Hotmail, its the same result. we cannot login to this kind of sites. we haven't tried other sites with the same function like friendster.

i dont know if this started because of my security software did not function properly. I bought this security software months ago. at first it was okay. then when it did not function properly, i cannot login to the said sites. I tried contacting the support unit of this software and there solutions were not getting the problem solved.

I tried searching for online help. i stumbled with one of your solutions to a problem of a guy regarding logging in. one member said to go to a site (www.kaspersky.com/virusscanners) to perform an online scan. i visited that site. But i was unable to get an online scan going because it says that the online scanner is expired. the installation of the online scanner was successful but when the virus definition initializes. it failed.

how can i solved my problems? is it my security software causing the problems? am i infected with a virus already?

Thank you in advance for taking time to read my very long s... Read more

Not sure I'm in th right forum, but here it goes. I have an Email account at Yahoo. Paid $20 for it. I'm suppose to have POP3 services. AIM should be able to let me know when I have mail in my Yahoo mail box. AIM get an error message every time it looks at Yahoo. There doesn't seem to be any support for AIM, and I can't get any help from Yahoo.

If anyone can help me, I would appreciate it.

Recently I could not login some of my yahoo mail accounts. I can only access yahoo calendar and address book in these accounts but mails. It used to work well. Then later I figured that I have to change my internet connection by Webproxy server and it works. I am wondering why? Since the direct connection used to work before.
Can anyone tell me what was wrong. Thanks.

Ok, I have been using Yahoo Mail ever since they took over email from Pacific Bell with no problems. This includes the recent upgrade to 100 MB of storage - no problems there either. Today, I can't log in at all! I get a login screen with the following:

"The browser you're using refuses to sign in. (cookies rejected)

New to Yahoo!?
Sign up now to enjoy Yahoo!
We need to use "cookies" to identify you on our system. Try these steps

• Just try signing again. If your browser asks you to accept cookies, choose "accept" each time.
• Perhaps your browser is not set to allow cookies. Consult "Help" on your browser to find out how to change this setting.
• Check the copyright date on your browser (Go to "Help... About.."). Users of old browsers may want to try the lastest version from Opera, Microsoft, or Netscape."

I had security set to some custom level and reset it to Medium and then to Medium-Low. I deleted all temp files and went through my cookies in my Documents and Settings/Peter/Cookies/

I find if I set both the security settings and privacy to low, I can log in, but I really don't want to leave them at this level. If I change them back to Medium, I can't log into Yahoo mail. Any suggestions?

Which IE do you have? 5.5 or 6.0? Make sure you have not overridden your cookie-accepting abilities under Tools-->Internet Options-->Privacy-->Advanced and that it is not checked.
