I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

I created a Storage pool with the following setup. Three 3TB drives with parity all in an external enclosure with eSata and USB 2/3 ports. It was connected via USB when created and had production data loaded and tested without any issues.
After a few days of use I decided to see what happened when I tried to access it via the eSata port. No luck, due to a driver on the eSata card issue with Win 8. So I powered all back down and plugged back in via USB. At this point the Storage pool went
into the state as per the screenshot below. Any suggestions to either fix the issue and/or retrieve the data that is in the volume?

I have the Yoga 13 with 128GB of hard drive. For some reason my drive only has 100GB and with Office and Windows, I only have about 1GB left which causes me a headache constantly moving files around or deleting stuff to create more room. Questions: How can I find out where all the big files I might not need are and get rid of them? Why did I only have 100GB when I bought a laptop that said I would get 128GB? Can I expand the laptop and get 256GB or do I have to buy another laptop? Thanks for any help here!

Also, 128 GB is an estimate. No HDD/SSD will ever have the stated space or more. All HDDs/SSD will always be smaller than advertise. Install iOrbit Uninstaller, sort program from largest to smallest and then remove the large programs you no longer use. Use Disk Cleanup and before pressing the clean/delete button, select ?Clean System files?.... This way you can delete the Window?s Update installers left on your computer (usually takes up a few gigs if never removed). The above 2 recommendations will make a huge difference

I have only ever used it to write word docs and search internet.all of a sudden the storage space is saying no memory.i have deleted items and only have four word docs saved to computer. Please help. This is causing me huge frustrations and I cannot work at all. When I try to write in my saved docs it is not letting me save. What do I need to do?

A:Lenovo Yoga 300 major storage issue please help

Let's try the easy stuff first.
Open File Explorer (WIndows-E) and right click on the C: drive. Select properties and, under the General tab, click on disk cleanup.
Thumbnails, Temporary Internet Files and Downloaded Program Files should already be checked. Go ahead and tick the Recycle Bin box, too, then click on OK.

Hi guys, i have a yoga 900 13ISK2. i used a program unfamiliar to me, to create a partition on the drive, getting rid of all the other partitions, so i only have 2 partitions.Windowes became unbootable and unrepairable, as all data was removed. When i try and install windows it can't see the hard drive. and says 'we couldn't find any drives. to get a storage driver, click load driver'so here's what i know so far;the bios shows the hard drive as a samsung MZV...... but only when i put it in UEFI mode. if i put it in legacy the bios shows the hard drive as 'none'.I've tried to load windows 10 in both legacy and UEFI modes and and it can't see the hard drive in either at the point where windows asks where to load windows. At this stage, i've tried loading all 8 of the inf files from Intel Serial-IO Driver for Windows 10 (64-bit) - Notebookand the drivers from this file Intel Rapid Storage Technology Driver for Windows 10 (64-bit) - Yoga 900-13ISKbut it just scrolls for a while, goes back to the load windows screen and shows nothing even after i click refresh. Any ideas where to go from here, would be gratefully welcomed.p.s i have the bios version 2UCN06WW, which is not the latest, but the new bios is an executable from windows, so i can't install it at this stage.

Hi I have a 2nd Gen X1 Yoga (20JES00N00) which is not even a year old and, for the third time now, is giving me an error ("2100 Detection Error on Storage Device (M.2) \\ Press Esc to continue.") when I start it up (and pressing Esc as instructed only prompts a question where to boot from, and then leads to the same error again). First time this happened (in March), Lenovo Hotline Zagreb sent me a new SSD, which I had installed by an expert (turned out it was impossible to do without special tools, because a screw had been overtightened at the factory). Second time (in May), I got a new SSD and mainboard installed. (Needless to say, each time with significant downtime and hassle setting up the system by myself again). Now the error is back a third time. Does anybody know of a solution which really works? This is rather frustrating.

About a month of regular use with my Yoga 3rd Gen. laptop, I started getting an inconsistent error whenever I attempted to power up the device. For about a week or two I attributed this 2100 error to the software side as nothing hardware had changed, or at least to my knowledge. After no avail after windows updates/intel updates, I then switched to the hardware aspect after reading online posts with a similar issue and potential solutions. I unscrewed the back cover with little difficulty and located the M2 drive. My plan was to reseat the drive as I had read online that this could be a quick fix. However, the stubborn M2 drive would not budge, resulting in some unfortunate stripping. I then tried to increase the padding to the drive as I had hoped the issue was stemming from my daily commute and movement the laptop was experiencing. I first using some eletrical tape as a way to decrease the distance between the back cover to the drive. After using the computer that night, this attempt appeared to be successful as I did not run into any error. However, the next day when I powered on the device, I was faced with the familiar black screen 2100 error. Once again, I then tried to increase the artificial padding and to see if I was on the right track. Today, the first day after the weekend, I had to see if I had finally found a solution but was faced with 2100 errors and constant blue screens/crashes after a few minutes of use. The only options that I have left whic... Read more

I have a Lenovo Yoga 720 15" and I'm having issues when connecting my Akitio Thunder3 Quad Thunderbolt 3 4-Bay HDD storage enclosure. I have updated all the drivers for my laptop, Windows 10, and the enclosure, but I'm still having issues. Whenever I connect the Thunder3 all four drives in the enclosure register fine, but then my laptop's touchscreen and fingerprint reader stop working. Restarting while the enclosure is plugged in does not solve the situation. I can get the touchscreen and fingerprint reader to start working again if I power down the computer with the enclosure plugged in, then unplug it, turn on the computer, and then restart the computer again. The minute I plug the enclosure back in, the touchscreen and fingerprint reader stop working. I also cannot plug and unplug the enclosure without restarting Windows. Basically, if I have the enclosure connected (registered properly), then safetly eject it, I cannot get the drives to register if I reconnect the enclosure. The thunderbolt interface registers the enclosure itself, just not the drives. If I restart Windows, then I can reconnec the enclosure and get the drives working properly. Anyone else having this issue? I'm guessing it's a driver issue, but doesn't seem to be any other threads out there about the same issue. I've spoken with Akitio but they said it must be my laptop drivers.

Earlier today, I had shut the lid on my Chromebook (putting it into standby mode) and had put it away. At this point it had full power. About half an hour later, I had opened it up again, but it had shut off, and I coudn't get it to turn on again until I plugged it in to auxilary power. When it revived, it still had full battery, but had forgotten the details of the network until I had signed in. This is similar to another issue, wherein the system will occasionally stop opening and running user-installed applications and block any access to local storage (such as viewing and downloading files), citing lack of permission (which does not apply otherwise), until restarting and logging in again. My device is fully up-to-date on the stable update stream. Why am I having these issues? Are there any ways to fix this permanently (aside from purchasing a different device)?

Has anyone tried the new Storage Spaces feature in Windows 8? Your experience with it?

More specifically:

1. If this system is used on a shared network with other operating systems such as XP and Windows 7, can the storage pool drives be set up as shared, and become visible and usable from the XP and Win 7 machines?

2. If you have a Network Backup drive, like WD My Book Live, will it see and back up the Storage Spaces configured drive just like any other drive on the network?

A:Storage Spaces (Storage Pool) Experience?

I've only set this up on a Windows Server 2012 configuration therefore I cannot provide the exact steps on how to set one up in a client environment. That being said, a storage space/pool is essentially a virtual disk that resides on one or multiple physical disks allowing you to accumulate free space. For example if I have multiple servers with free space on their data drives I can then create a storage pool to accumulate this. To allocate this storage pool/space to a user or machine you will need to decide what you wish to do with it. Below are a couple of examples of how:

Share via Windows Folder Sharing (UNC Path)Use iSCSI to use the current ethernet infastructure allowing you to assign the storage pool/space a drive letter to the client machineIn a server environment you may wish to use it for DFS (Distributed File System) to maintain redundancy

Personally I use my storage pool as an iSCSI drive for which i have partitioned.

   Warning
You can only use the free space of a non Windows install drive. To my knowledge you cannot overcome this with partitioning.

In relation to your second question, you will only able to use the share as a safepoint backup if it is shared via Windows Folder Sharing. For example: \\computername\share

Also you will need to make sure that the NAS is on the same workgroup as the Windows 8 machine hosting the storage pool otherwise it will not be able to find the share. Hopefully this is what you asking however pleas... Read more

With Google I couldn't find answer, how to handle USB removable media inside camera.
With camera there is no "Safely remove hardware and eject media" option.
When Photo camera is connected, a new camera device is installed and GUI window is opened with option to browse or copy photos. But there is no removable storage devise eject button on notification area. The USB removable Storage devise is also present on File Manager Computer left panel but again, there is no mouse right button eject option as normally with removable storage devices. I have checked in on several computers. How to understand. I don't believe that it's camera specific but Camera is Canon S95.
Any ideas?

Can you set the camera to "Disk Mode"? If so, it will treat the camera as a flash drive.

I've recently (13th of April) bought new Yoga 530-14IKB. It has adequate CPU i3-8130U, which is faster than i5-6200U in my sister's Acer laptop, but I anyway don't play any games. After disabling it, I can't switch to the tablet mode and keyboard and touchpad don't turn off. Is there somebody who has Yoga laptop and experience similar problem?

I own a Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Yoga (1st gen as a Yoga; 4th gen as a Carbon), Product 20FQCTO1WW. Starting two days ago, it randomly reboots. The event log shows that it has had an unexpected reboot ("The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly."), but reading the events leading up to the reboot doesn't give me much of a clue as to why. The only interesting events are messages that a core of the CPU is being throttled ("The speed of processor X in group 0 is being limited by system firmware. The processor has been in this reduced performance state for 71 seconds since the last report."). I took the bottom cover off and agressively blew compressed air in every crevice. This did remove some dust buildup, but the system wasn't as dirty as I expected. In fact, it looked pretty clean. I also vaccuumed. And I removed the fan and thermal heatsink and throughly blew compressed air through it and made sure that there was no gunk clogging the heatsink air fins. After reassembling, it seems to be slightly more stable, but it has still rebooted a few times. There are lots of threads where people complain about fan noise and ask how they can reduce the speed of their fan. I'd like to run mine at max 100% of the time (noise be darned) for a few days just to see if that keeps the system from randomly rebooting. However, I don't know of a sofware setting where I can control... Read more

Hello All, I have an issue with my YOGA 700 laptop when logged in multiple accounts simultaneously. Whenever an account is left logged on and the user is switched as opposed to logging off, the cpu usage ramps up very high with several RUNDLL32 processes being the culprit. I have checked the RUNDLL32 processes with Process Explorer and the command line are as follows:C:\Windows\system32\rundll32.exe C:\ProgramData\LenovoTransition\Server\x64\EnableAutoRotation.dll,RunCustomMonitor The directory is as follows: C:\ProgramData\LenovoTransition\Server\x64\ The only solution I have found is restarting the laptop. The problems comes back when again more than one user is logged in. Also, the rundll32 processes only run high cpu on one account at a time and there doesn't seem to be a preference for a specific account, all of them are plagued one at a time with the problem. Disabling the Yoga Mode Control service is a fix but that breaks the mode control which is essential in this laptop. I have tried installing all the available software on the Software page foor the YOGA 700. The rundll32 processes drain the battery very fast and I can't always log off other users when they have apps open!  I have posted a screenshot of process explorer showing 2 rundll32.exe processes using 25% cpu usage each. Hello Dws520Thanks for using the Lenovo forums. Was this the creators update?
If so, have a look on the following post, this should show if your device has been tested with the update yet:

From what I can see, your unit does not seems to have made the list, which leads me to believe that this will be the cause of the issue, I would recommend that you revert back to the previous version of Windows, and observe if the fault still occurs or not.

Hope this helps, let us know how you get on.==================================================================================Did someone help you today? Thank them with a Kudo! If you find a post helpful and it answers your question, please mark it as an "Accepted Solution"!

On the surface, both the Yoga 910 and Yoga 920 look nearly identical, but in my testing, I prefer one over the other. Let's dig deeper to see the differences between the two!To get this out of the way, both machines have 1TB PCIe storage, 16GB memory, and the Yoga 910 has the 7th gen i7-7550U processor, and the Yoga 920 has the 8th gen i7-8550U processor.

Hardware & Design
Both the Yoga 910 and Yoga 920 are built out of aluminum, which gives them a high quality feel to them.  Both laptops have the keyboard integrated into the chassis, which means less keyboard flex. One thing that I find better in the Yoga 920 is the fact that it's all smooth edges around.  The Yoga 910 has pretty sharp edges which means you could scratch your surface or yourself.  The sharp edges of the Yoga 910 was a common complaint, and I'm glad they rectified it.

The Yoga 920 also has a little slit on the display lid that makes it much easier to open the lap... Read more

I've been looking around and found a few people who are very displeased with the logo startup/boot logo (example1, example2), but no way to change it as of yet. Is it possible without too much hassle? I know it's not a big deal but the logo is simply terrible in so many ways. If nothing, then at least I'm raising awareness and maybe Lenovo will choose a better graphic designer for our collective startup screens. I mean, seriously? Is that the best you could come up with?

A:Yoga 720 Lenovo boot logo. Is there a way to change it? (should be the same for every new Yoga).

I do not know of any way to easily change it without hackging the BIOS, nor would I waste time trying to do so since it is just the boot logo, and I am just happy to have it boot up.

Hi,  I accidentially delete the desktop version of 'Yoga Picks'. I would like to reinstall it, but can't find the download. I'm not looking for the 'Yoga Picks' Metro App - I'm looking for the common desktop verson. Can someone please provide a download link? Best regards,Dodson65

A:Yoga 2 Pro: Download 'Yoga Picks Desktop application'

I accidentally deleted this software too when I cleaned up the system. I need the link to a free download, too.

Past few days, I have been using Ethernet connection fine. Suddenly, it is gone.In 'Control Panel' -> 'Network & Internet' -> 'Network Connection', there are 'Bluetooth Network Connection' and 'WiFi Connection' only. No Ethernet Adapter.Open the Device Manager, there are 'Qualcom Wireless', Bluetooth Device + 8 different WAN Miniports.I downloaded & installed Intel WLAN Driver for Windows 10 (64-bit) - Yoga 920-13IKB, Yoga 920-13IKB  'fqy801af', no change.I switched the ethernet connection from the C Hub to another USB Hub with Ethernet port, no change.Swapped cables, swapped LAN ports, no change. Same cables and ports work fine with another laptop (6 years old).Hope that someone would give a helping hand. I've been struggling with it all day long and am giving up.Help, please. P.S. Got a couple days more to be able to return, with regret of course. Hope this can be fixed.

My brand new Yoga 720 is seriously bent (one corner is up by 3 mms). I have sent back immediately to offical Lenovo service. They sent it back with a report that it is fully operable. Since then, I have a wedge in my notebook case and all I have to do is put it under my notebook if I use it. Now I know which brand not to buy next time.

Hello!I am trying to find out if DisplayPort is supported on the following two models: - Yoga 710-14IKB (80V4003LMX)- Yoga 900S-12ISK (80ML000RMX) I need to drive UHD TVs (4K at 60fps) and various high resolution displays using DisplayPort (HDMI 1.4 only supports 4K at low refresh rates).  It seems to be difficult find out looking through the documentation provided by Lenovo. I have come across some info though: Yoga 710-14IKB:The documentation on  http://shop.lenovo.com/us/en/laptops/yoga/700-series/yoga-710-14/#80V4000GUS under "Ports" states that: "Micro HDMI?""DisplayPort? (combo with HDMI?)" This indeed seems to indicate that DisplayPort is supported, but I cannot find any info on how this works. - Is DisplayPort supported by the Yoga 710?- If so, what kind of adapter is needed, and where can this be found? Yoga 900S-12ISK:This machine has an USB-C "USB 3.0 port with Video-out". I have found a Lenovo USB-C to HDMI Adaptor-NA (GX90K37871):    https://www.cnet.com/products/lenovo-usb-c-to-hdmi-adapter-external-video-adapter/specs/but so far I have not seen any USB-C to DisplayPort adapter from Lenovo. When an USB-C port has video capabilities, it is usually DisplayPort available (I have seen reviews of Yoga 900S that this actually is the case for the Yoga 900S. - Is DisplayPort supported by the Yoga 900s?- If so, what kind of adapter is needed, and where can this be found?&n... Hello all, Got my X1Y3 in a few days ago and I'm very pleased with the screen on the machine as well as battery life and easy type c charging compared to my old X1Y1. However, I have noticed one thing, the audio options (sample rate and bit depth) are about as basic as can be on the X1Y3 compared to my X1Y1. Anyone else notice this or do I perhaps have something limited by my audio settings? I tried looking up the spec sheet for this machine and see nothing mentioned, but looking under sound options in the control panel the max I can do is 24bit/48Khz, the only other option is 16bit/48Khz. Recording only has a signle option of 16bit/48Khz. If this is by design, I'm really disappointed in taking the hit to adio quality from one generation to the next.  For example, my original X1Y1 can do 24bit/192Khz at the maximum for playback and 24bit/96Khz for recording. Software is fully up to date through vantage, and I just installed the october update (much to my reluctance since I had to hit the update button to do it and risk the wrath of the microsoft insider program).  Thr PSREF spec sheets on lenovos website for the Y1Y3 list the chich as Realtek ALC3286, but no specs for bit depth or sampling rate for the machine. Additionally, I can't find any information on this chip online besides sellers inadvertently listing it in thier specs for X1Y3s for sale. It sounds like I might be resigned to carrying around a highres dac or end up praying for LDAC ...
