I'm not sure if this thread goes here or in Windows 7 section----
I have a LG bluetooth headset--works with my Galaxy S5 just fine----
I'm trying to listen to my music & Youtube on my computer with it----
my P8Z68 V Pro motherboard has BT-GO
but won't recognize my headset thru the ASUS suite2---
but
Windows 7 (64bit) will.
Windows 7 detects & pairs with the LG headset no problem at all
when I go to Control Panel // add Hardware page---the LG is shown.
when I go to the paired page it shows my computer & the LG headset with the Bluetooth symbol
between them no problem------
here is my problem
the signal strength meter only shows 1 bar, if I lean right up next to my tower it will go to 2 bars
& I can just barely hear the sound in my headset.
if I go to Device Manager there are 2 yellow symbols under ""other devices"""
but no yellow up at the top under ASUS bluetooth.
the driver listed for the ASUS bluethooth is ""Atheros Corperation"" 7.2.0.65
do I need to download the latest driver from Broadcom for the yellow symbol under other devices ??
if I download Microsoft Mobile Center software will this help me even though I can just barely hear the sound in my headset ???? they do pair.
like on Youtube do I need to pull off the plastic cover off the bluetooth I/O port
why does my Galaxy S5 show full bars (paired to the computer )
& the LG show only 1 bar (paired to the computer--
Help

P.S. LG doesn't supply any drivers for headsets // I asked LG
I recommend downloading and running DAP. It can help sort out any driver and firmware related issues on your system
It's worked out well for many of us in the past.
You can download it direct from this link http://downloaddap.org. (This link will open the download page of DAP so you can save a copy to your computer.)
Apparently the range is short.
https://vip.asus.com/forum/view.asp...id=1&model=P8Z68-V+PRO&page=1&SLanguage=en-us
There is a youtube video supposedly showing you how to increase the range. I found it puzzling. There is no dialog nor onscreen captions. The guy has a tape measure and a Samsung phone. I have no idea what he is doing.
Your best bet would be to disable the weak onboard bluetooth and buy a USB bluetooth dongle.
I've done everything but stand on my head and I cannot get the P50 and the Sony to see each other to pair. I use the headset everday at the gym with an iPod Nano with no problem. With the P50 I've tried "add a bluetooth device' and 'show bluetooth devices'. In neither instance does the Sony appear. Suggestion? Mark

I recently installed the latest version of the Toshiba Bluetooth Stack (v9.10.32T) for one of my desired applications to properly function. However, connecting my Bluetooth headphones through Toshiba's bluetooth manager does not seem to support the media buttons on the headset. These include Play/Pause and seek buttons. Before the Bluetooth stack, when I used my default bluetooth driver for connection, these controls had worked fine.
Also, there does not seem to be a specific setting to fix this in the Toshiba Bluetooth Stack Options.
How would I go about getting these controls back?
Hi !!
I am having a bluetooth adapter installed on my PC. Now I wanted to connect my Samsung HM1100 headset with it. It paired and everything but during installation of driver it says "NO DRIVER FOUND". I have tried too many times and I have also installed a bluetooth driver "SILICON WAVE BLUETOOTH DRIVER".
Actually its a dongle I'm having. So it didn't require any drivers but it won't connect to my bluetooth headset.
Help will be appreciated.
Do you still need assistance with this issue?

Hey guys was just wondering what are the best Bluetooth headsets out there for internet gaming voice chat. Thanx for any help.
I was wondering if it is possible to use bluetooth headsets as a cheap alternative to radio microphones - would I be able to do this (for voice recording purposes), and would I need any special software to make it work?
I have a Motorola H500 Bluetooth headset and its connected to my laptop computer. I wanted to know if there is any way to use the headset for the mic, and still have my sound come out the computer speakers.

Im running windows 7, and when i select "Add a device" under the Bluetooth tap, it keeps searching for devices... and my headset keeps blinking in "pair mode" till they shut off. I can successfully connect them to my phone, and my girlfriends laptop which is running windows 10. Is this a common problem with windows 7 not connecting with Bluetooth headsets? Any help would be much appreciated, ive spend too much time trying to figure this out, and Bose support was no help obviously. Thanks again for any input, really would like to figure this out

Welcome to our forum tjessop.
Do you have your usb 3.0 drivers installed?
If not your motherboard should of come with a CD that has the usb 3.0 drivers.
Are you plugged into Usb 2.0 or 3.0?
Does your Bose head set need drivers?
Did your head set come with a CD or DVD?
Boot your PC and then plug in your head phone and see if Windows 7 picks them up.
If not, boot your PC and then plug your head phone in and see if Windows 7 picks them up.
Right tick on your volume icon (lower right) and select (Play Back Devices). Do your head phones show up there?
That is about all I can think of.

I recently added a 320 Plantronics head set to my computer array along with a generic Bluetooth USB adapter so I can listen to MLB (baseball). I got the pairing done successfully and the tests work as do all Windows beeps etc. However, I cannot hear other sounds that normally come thru my speakers such as baseball, music etc that play thru Windows Media Player. Any suggestions? The Bluetooth adapter does not specify Vista (my op sys), but since I hear the Windows chimes etc, shouldn't I also hear everything else? Thanks.

I have a SONY MDRZX770BT Bluetooth Headset which I am trying to pair with my Dell OMNIPLEX AIO PC. All seems to go well, until I bring up the 'SOUND' screen from Control Panel. The headset, which was reported as successfully added, and ready to use, does not appear on the screen of playback devices.
All related BT and sound devices on Device Manager are shown as working properly, and the headset appears on the Devices and Printer screen. I also checked that all BT Services are running.
I was able to install, and use, the headset on my wife's computer, so it is not a defective device.
I checked the SONY web site for possible driver updates, and no downloads are avaiable for this device.
Also, I had a previous (Philips) BT headset working on this PC, so the BT software seemsOK.,.
What have I overlooked?
Hello,
I'm running win 8.1 and want to use a bluetooth headset. I'vs been searching for a day already for solutions in vain. Let me explain the scenario.
I have Dell Vostro 3460 notebook with Win 8.1 Core 64 bit on it. I have bluetooth enabled, I can connect to bluetooth devices (phone). My headset is a noname one but it still works on other machines (works with phone, works with Ubuntu).
In windows I can pair the headset but that's as far as it goes. I cannot select it as audio output device. I learned that for it to work I need to have an "audio sink" serviceat the bluetooth device. Unfortunately the only service my driver shows is "handsfree" (transleted, not sure if this is the proper english name).
I tried updating bluetooth drivers (various) but none of them made any difference.
Can anybody help me in getting this working?
Thanks,
Mikl?s
Think this might be the best place for this.
A little annoyance here. I got a Moto H800 bluetooth headset I would like to use on Ventrilo while gaming and it just is not connecting. To many variables? Lets narrow it down
First, the basics:
System: WinXP-Pro SP3 All Updates
Bluetooth: USB ISSC Bluetooth EDR Adapter [ISSCEDRBTA]
Using XP Bluetooth Stack
Using the bluetooth devices dialog found in Control Panel I add the H800 by pressing "ADD", checking "my device is ready to be found", pressing "NEXT", waiting for windows to find the h800, clicking on it then pressing "NEXT" again, select "use passkey from my documentation" which of course is 0000, then press "NEXT" one last time.
At this point the h800 flashes violet and blue, usually indicating a connection. However it quickly turns to a flashing red. even though it is paired, it will not connect to the pc.
Wondering if I did something wrong?
My BT headset doesn<t respond anymore to pairing. It is fully charged and turns on, but my phone and tablet cannot connect with it although it is paired Before it was working fine with both. Is there any way to test it(BT), to see what the problem is. It is a Jabra.

It is possible that the pairing has been corrupt. I would consider deleting the current pairing and then try to repair it to the phone. If that does not work you can try to pair it to a different bluetooth if you had a spare or possibly a friends. If it connects then it is a good chance it is a defective bluetooth.
I have a Surface Pro2 running Wndows 10 1511 10586.17. I want to add a Motorola H730 headset. The tablet doesn't detect the headset. Any ideas why?
Best regards.
Hello all, i got a situation right here. im using an old LG KS20 with its default OS, WinMo 6 and i happen to have 2 stereo (A2DP) devices which are Philips SHB7100 and Fujitsu SPK-796.
so i pair them to my older phone, LG KU990 Viewty and both devices work perfectly. Now i'm trying to connect either one of them to the KS20 without any luck. So the bluetooth headset and speakers are working right.
I discovered that there are "handsfree options" in bluetooth settings that has "authorization" "authentication" and "encryption". ticking or not ticking any of them did not give me what i need.
so basically the problem is: i can connect both devices as "hands-free" and it asks me for pairing code when i pair both of them, but i cannot connect the "high quality audio bluetooth". it says connection failed, obviously because it didn't ask me the pairing code, which is necessary in the first place.
so anyone here facing the same issue?

Hi,
I've been trying to setup my new laptop which is Dell XPS 15 (9550, i7, FHD, Broadcom WiFi + BT) running Win 10 Home Edition, to pair my android cell phone and use the laptop Mic and Speaker act as bluetooth headset, however been searching around on google and some said this features only exist on Pro and Enterprise version of Win 10, so is that true?
If it's not then may I ask if anyone has success on doing so?
I am able to pair it but the option to use pc as bluetooth headset isn't exist.
Thx!
I have been trying to get my Plantronics bluetooth headset working with Windows 7 without any luck. I want to use it with a 3CX softphone to use it with a Google Voice number.
At first I was able to add the headset to "Devices and Printers" but could not get any audio in or out of it for the softphone. A wired headset works ok. I searhed here and read a post that someone suggested BlueSoleil 6. I installed it and it seemed to pick up the headset, but that didn't work. I even installed BlueSoleil VOIP, but that thing is for Skype. While it was installed, I checked my "Devices and Printers" and it was not listed anymore. So, I uninstalled BlueSoleil. I was able to add the headset again. Still didn't work. I also read somewhere else to install the WIDCOMM Bluetooth Software. It could not detect my headset. The headset disapeared from the "Devices and Printers" window. Now I can't e ad the headset. When I try, my Brother Laser printer is listed to add. I already have had it installed for some time.
Anybody have a clue of how I can get this to work?
I got my bluetooth headset added once again, but still can't get it to work.

I got an iogear headset that has only ONE ear piece available - it keeps falling off. They have no other choices, apparently.

I have a Sony MDR-10RBT bluetooth headset that used to work with my HP ZBook 15 G2 laptop. I'm not sure what happened, but it no longer works.I can pair the headset, and it shows up in the Devices and Printers window. However, when I double click on the headset's icon and get the window where I can click on Listen to Music or Forward VoIP Calls to Handsfree, they are both greyed out. If I look in services:Bluetooth Media Service: not started, automaticBluetooth OBEX Service: not started, automaticBluetooth Support Service: started, manual If I try starting Bluetooth Media Service, I get an Error 1053. I have updated the Intel Bluetooth Driver for 7260/3610 WLAN (American, International) to 17.1.1504.518 Rev.A29 Jun 2015. I'm not sure what that replaces, since when I look in the Device Manager, under Intel Wireless Bluetooth 4.0 Adapter, it still says 17.0.1401.422. Any suggestions of where to look next would be appreciated.

I'm trying to make a stereo bluetooth headset work on my HP Vista32 Desktop.
I can pair it, then connect it, the device changes from speakers to the headset in my "Playback devices" window, but I get no audio through the headset. After about a minute, the playback devices changes back to my speakers
and the headset shuts off.
I've checked all of the drivers in Device Mgr...all are installed and working properly. I've also done
attempted updates on all of the involved drivers. I get messages saying the drivers are up to date in all cases.
It appears that the drivers (Blue radio & enumerator, headset in sound, video and game controllers) are installed
correctly, but the audio channel is not cut through.

2) Uninstalling/ installing drivers
3) Changing Bluetooth support service (automatic)

I just bought a Philips SHB9100 stereo bluetooth headset for use with my computer (HP IQ506 Touchscreen with Win7, SP3), and I cannot hear anything wireless.
I can see the headset on Devices and Printers, but can hear nothing without the audio cable.
The install instructions said something about a 'connect' button, but I have never seen this during my install.
I successfully installed on an ASUS T100, with no problems, but this has me stymied. Didn't see any 'connect' button here, either.
Re-installed HP bluetooth driver(s), to no avail.
I have found no applicable updates on HP Support.
Computer says the device is working properly.
Hopefully someone will be able to help solve this, because I am stumped. I bought a rocketfish USB bluetooth adapter almost a year ago now. I also got a Motorola H15 bluetooth headset at the same time. Everything worked fine in XP and even when I had W7 RC, I used the headset as a mic for ventrillo, teamspeak, etc.
I recently built a new rig a month ago and have W7 ultimate x64 installed.
The USB adapter was installed fine by windows itself and I updated to the newest driver online. I turned the headset on and the adapter found the device. W7 is now asking for a driver in order for the headset to work though. I don't remember it ever doing that before in XP or W7 RC.
W7 can not find a driver for the headset, even if I tell it to look online. I don't think there is even a "driver" for this, because it works off the adapter by pairing it.
any thoughts?
LB
For Bluetooth headsets, you normally need too install the driver and software that comes with the headset. If windows update is having a tough time finding drivers, try visiting the manufacturer website. After you install, use the software to manage pairing, then configure the sound output properly and it should work fine.
