I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Hi - Is this ever followed by "Click Ok to terminate the program" ? ? It may be a minor infection, or just an Error post -Install the latest version of Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from This Mirror to your desktop.* Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.* At the end, be sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.* If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.* Once the program has loaded, select Perform quick scan, then click Scan.* When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.* Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.* When completed, a log will open in Notepad form. Please tell us if any infections were found -Thank You -

Having problems with my computer running Windows XP Pro 2002 SP3. Had a virus that attacked a different computer on our network and ran Malwarebytes, Spybot and Avast. All scans came up clean. If I leave the computer for awhile (several hours) my "All Programs" list goes away, the list of recently used applications is gone and if I try to do a Shutdown or Restart it comes back that "I am not authorized to do that". I am now also getting exception errors:
"exception unknown software exception (0xc00000fd) occurred in the application at location 0x01006a25" and "explorer.exe application failed to initialize properly (0xc000012d)". In an effort to try stop antivirus programs from conflicting with each other, I uninstalled malwarebytes and have avast running in resident and Spybot not in resident but demand only. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

What do you have running in the backround when you try and shut down?

Try exiting all the taskbar programs in turn and doing a shutdown after each , hopefully this will show which app is causing the issue.

Hi Everyone

First post so will really try to brief and clear. I'm trying to use a prog to update some game saves and my xbox profile. The process is quite simple but each time I run it I get the above error. I've googled and much of the responses are mumbo jumbo to me but I can confirm that I have .Net 4.0.30319 installed and have tried disabling my virus software (PC tools) to no avail.

I can post the log if necessary but I'm frustrated as there are loads of You Tube vids showing this process and no hint of this problem.

I simply don't believe I'm the only one with XP using the software so it must be compatible.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks for your time.

Edit: I think my frustration came through on this. I've been trying to fix this issue for a few weeks by using old discussions that do not seem to be so relevant. I'm sure there is an easy fix to this but I am missing it and hoping someone here knows about the problem in relation to Windows 7. Thanks.

An unhandled exception has occurred in a component in your application. Click continue and application will ignore this error and attempt to continue.
When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the machine
rather than being handled by this dialog.
When I restart or turn my Sony Vaio on it tells me I have this error. I have Windows 7 and I have read through many different discussions on this error and have not solved my issue. I can't find anything about JIT debugging on my computer. I have seen "go to tools, select options, click debugging and check this or that but I find no debugging options. I haven't seen any new discussions on this topic and it was suggested I start a new one.

I hope someone can help. This error is preventing my computer from updating on shut downs.

Hello:

When I play a game called Combat Arms. Whatever browser I use will freeze, and then crash. This only happened immediately after I was sent a request to add a player, "UltraBooster" in Combat Arms Messenger. Combat Arms Messenger is like Windows Live Messenger where you can text/type people messages before, during, after game and in the lobby.

The freezing and browser crashing does not happen with my other two account's. The Messenger seems like it has been disabled with the one account only. When I attempt to open Combat Arms Messenger I get a pop-up that says:

"Combat_Arms : Engine.exe - Application Error

The exception unknown software exception (0xc0000417) occurred in the application at location 0x3764a2f4

Click on OK to terminate the program."

In the past I could be in-game for hours and never have IE crash. This has been on-going for close to a month now. There has been two support ticket's to Nexon with little to no help. In addition I have scanned my HD for application error's, driver's and virus problem's numerous times. All are free and clear. I have used IE and Mozilla FireFox, both with the same error. This is in addition to going back to the default setting's in the browser and disabling all of the add-ons. The hexadecimal address (Ox3764a2f4) has not been documented anywhere. Right now I am at a loss.

A:Unknown Software Exception

Hello spazy and welcome to the BC HijackThis forum. Am using a non valid windows xp (am unable to load SP2)That is a problem in and of itself. Non-legitimate and non-patched copies of XP will always have problems. We can try a few things but I cannot guarantee that they will work. Also, disabling the RPC service will cause many additional problems since there are many processes and services dependent upon it. You should re-enable it or you may find many applications will not run.First print these directions and then perform the following steps in order:Step #1Download Brute Force UninstallerUnzip it to it?s own folder (c:\BFU)RIGHT-CLICK HERE ( http://metallica.geekstogo.com/EGDACCESS.bfu ) and choose "Save As" (in IE it's "Save Target As") in order to download EGDACCESS Remover. Save it in the folder you made earlier (c:\BFU)Start the Brute Force Uninstaller by double-clicking BFU.exeIn the scriptline to execute copy and paste c:\bfu\EGDACCESS.bfuPress execute and let it do it?s job.Wait for the complete script execution box to popup and press OK.Press exit to terminate the BFU program.Step #2ImportantYour copy of HijackThis needs to be in a folder of it's own. If it is run from Temporary folders the backups and HijackThis itself could be accidentally deleted if the Temporary folders are cleaned. If it is run from the desktop then the backup files and folders can clutter up the desktop and be accidentally deleted. Please open My Compute... Read more

Do you know when this problem began? Try a System Restore to a point in time BEFORE the problem began. Here's the procedure: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/76905-system-restore-how.html. Be sure to check the box to show more than 5 days of restore points. If the first attempt fails, then try an earlier point or two. NOTE: You will have to re-install any software and updates you installed and uninstall any software you removed between now and the restore point, but you can use Windows Update for the updates.

If that doesn't work, try a clean boot http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135. If the problem goes away then it's just a matter of tracking down the culprit causing the problem. Follow the procedures in the article. Once found, delete, remove, deactivate, or uninstall it. Once done be sure to reset Vista back to normal status as explained in the procedures. If the problem occurs in clean mode then just restore the system to normal status and reboot - this solution is not going to work.

Boot into Safe mode with networking and see if the problem occurs there. Either result helps us narrow down the search for the cause.

I hope this helps. If not, post back with results.

Good luck!

The 0x40000015 error may be caused by windows system files damage. There can be many events which may have resulted in the system files errors. An incomplete installation, an incomplete uninstall, improper deletion of applications or hardware. It can also be caused if your computer is recovered from a virus or adware/spyware attack or by an improper shutdown of the computer. All the above activities may result in the deletion or corruption of the entries in the windows system files. This corrupted system file will lead to the missing and wrongly linked information and files needed for the proper working of the application.

I have a canon camera which has wifi. It has a configuration utility that helps you setup the connection to a wifi access point which i do have. However, whgen i try and run this app called "wifi connection setup" I get the error i mentioned. It also says "object reference not set to an instance of an object". I have reinstalled it, tried downloading it rather then using the disc version, tried repairing net framework, (which i suspected from a post in a google search) virus scans, etc. Sill does this. Any ideas on how to determine what is happening?

A:"unhandled exception occurred in your application"

Try booting to Safe Mode with Networking (in case you want to get on internet while testing. Safe Mode will also work). See if the utility works there

Safe Mode

If it does work in Safe Mode, try a Clean Start to see if something is interfering

Troubleshoot Application Conflicts by Performing a Clean Startup

You can also see if it works in another User Account

User Account - Create

Or the built in hidden Admin account (disable this account again after testing)

Built-in Administrator Account - Enable or Disable

If this is a one time setup thing, then if any of these methods work, you will be set up, even if you don't definitively determine the cause

Those errors are indeed often associated with .NET, but it is not 100% so.

Hello,

I did what Andrew told me to do using method #2. I downloaded the Installation Cleanup Utility and booted and uninstalled the MS .NET Framework1.1 and reinstalled. Shut it down and updated it by using the 3rd link he gave me. When I booted again, I got a message that I needed to put in a disc for a document viewer or something like that. I found one but still don't know if it was the right one and got errors. It said to try to find the document viewer and I looked everywhere trying to find where it was located, i.e., documents, hard drive, etc. and finally gave up. I logged on and came here to post this. I am looking at the box that won't go away. Hi I am a newbie here and thought maybe I would try to find out what this error is I get this randomly any page anytime, This started about a month ago. It is very annoying. I don;t know if this came after an update or something else but we have 2 pcs and both are getting the same errors. If I look at the details they are different each time.

I hope someone can help me out. Thanks in advance Daysofold

A:Unhandled Exception has occurred?

Do your computers have service pack3 installed. If they do not then I would try installing this on both computers. Which browser are you using ? If you are using ie8 already then try a browser reset via internet options advanced tab. If you are using old ie then upgrade to ie8.

On start-up I am getting the following message:

RUNDLL
An exception occurred while trying to run "C:\Windows|system32\NvCpl.dll,NvStartup"

clicking OK removes it and I notice no ill effects.
However I chanced to try and open the NVIDIA control panel by right click on the startup screen. This triggered an error report and the control panel fails to run.

I have XP, AVG and Zone alarm - all up to date.

Any ideas please?

A:Rundll An exception occurred etc

Try deleting the nvidia graphics driver (within safemode) , reboot the system and reinstalled the latest graphics driver from http://www.nvidia.com

http://www.nvidia.com/content/drivers/drivers.asp

You can also use regedit to remove the reported error:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
In the Run folder you will be looking for a value that resembles the startup error you are receiving, such as:
NvCplDaemon RUNDLL32.EXE C:\WINNT\system32\NvCpl.dll,NvStartup
Right click on it and select Delete. Close the Registry Editor and you?re done.

Hello everyone.
[I have no idea in which category this belongs so please move if required ]

I recently began working for a gaming company which uses Unreal Engine 4 as their primary development engine.

However since recently I've been running into a problem in which the Unreal Editor refuses to load further then 86%
It then crashes and i get the following message
An unhandled win32 exception occurred in UE4Editor.exe

I've then started the Visual studio debugger for the solution which provided me with the following message after running through it

Exception thrown at 0x000002D22FF21517 in UE4Editor.exe: 0xC00000FD: Stack overflow (parameters: 0x0000000000000001, 0x000000EFD69F3000).

If there is a handler for this exception, the program may be safely continued.

If i in turn select break when this exception shows it loads through and the program starts.

Right now it seems like ill have to always debug when i want to run the program which i dont quite prefer.

Does anyone at all know a possible fix for this ?
I've set everything up the way it should be so i'm at clueless at the current moment

Hi
This problem has occurred on my Del N5040 laptop running windows 10.
DWM.EXE - Fail Fast Exception Occurred Exception handlers will not be invoked and the process will be terminated immediately.
This banner came on the screen when I was in the middle of resetting to factory condition. Since then I have tried all the recommended suggestions from various sources including reloading, media creation tools, Reg cure repair and all other attempts to rectify including removing battery, restarting 3 times but nothing seems to resolve the problem. The laptop starts up and shows the windows logo, the circle of white dots goes round for about 20 seconds then the screen goes blank and the above failed fast exception message shows on the screen. Nothing else will work. I have tried to load from a CD and a USB stick but still nothing happens on my laptop. I have run a DEL installation test and all appears to be OK there. It tells me that there are no problems with the actual laptop. I think it may be a software problem not a hardware problem. Previous to this the laptop worked faultlessly.
I am a very average PC user so nothing too complicated please.

Hi Johnny Carnage,

Welcome to Seven Forums.

I am not trying to resolve your problem. Neither do I think anyone will venture to help you.

For

1. The screenshot you posted is totally unreadable. It is as good as you haven't posted it at all.
The following tutorials may help you

How to Use the Snipping Tool in Vista

Screenshots and Files - Upload and Post in Seven Forums

2. You haven't told what exactly you were doing when this error occurred.

Please google "Exception from HRESULT: 0x80040275" and you will get to know all about the error. You may also get to know how the OPs who needed help on this error had given elaborate details of what they were doing.

Warning: Do not use any generic programs that claim to fix all. Google search about any such program. Those are mostly scams. Specific problems need specific solution.

After reading all these you may reconsider reposting your problem with complete details.

Right now I have just made one guess. You were trying to burn something with some optical recorder on some optical media with some burning program and you got this error. It may be due to your optical drive/ media incompatibility.

Hello,Now that you have posted a log here: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic372629.html you should NOT make further changes to your computer (install/uninstall programs, use special fix tools, delete files, edit the registry, etc) unless advised by a MRT Team member, nor should you ask for help elsewhere. Doing so can result in system changes which may not show in the log you already posted. Further, any modifications you make on your own may cause confusion for the helper assisting you and could complicate the malware removal process which would extend the time it takes to clean your computer. From this point on the MRT Team should be the only members that you take advice from, until they have verified your log as clean. Please be patient. It may take a while to get a response because the MRT Team members are EXTREMELY busy working logs posted before yours. They are volunteers who will help you out as soon as possible. Once you have made your post and are waiting, please DO NOT make another reply until it has been responded to by a member of the MRT Team. Generally the staff checks the forum for postings that have 0 replies as this makes it easier for them to identify those who have not been helped. If you post another response there will be 1 reply. A team member, looking for a new log to work may assume another MRT Team member is already assisting you and not open the thread to respond. Please be patient. Hi there. I am having some trouble using this Amazon gift card generator that I downloaded from a site called Filecrop.com. Now what this generator does is that it adds more points to my Amazon gift card balance. Like I enter any gift card amount there in the generator starting from $5.00 to like $500.00. But first it says to put in my email address and my password from Amazon. So I do that. And then I click the radio button there in the generator saying that I want $500.00 in my Amazon account.

So after I do all this, this annoying error comes up on my screen saying: "Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will close immediately." And then it says something else here. It says: "Mailbox unavailable. The server response was 5.4.5 Daily sending quota exceeded." That's what it all said right there. So I have no idea on what this means. So do you have any idea on what this means? Because I would like to fix this problem so I can use this Amazon gift card generator I found and downloaded.

Oh just so you know, I have downloaded this generator from Filecrop.com, a file sharing site I can download programs, videos and other stuff as well. So please get back to me as soon as possible, and just explain to me on how to fix this. But I believe this problem is happening because it has to do something with the SM... Read more

If you didn't have the problem before yesterday you may want to try Windows System Restore before you do a full frest install.

I am having the exact same problem described thoroughly in the closed thread at:
http://forums.techguy.org/windows-nt-2000-xp/595338-microsoft-net-framework.html

But I did not find the solution at the link listed on the page, and think this solution may be outdated as more recent versions of the .NET framework are now available.

This problem is sooo annoying, and I will be so grateful for any help. (I have already tried removing all the HP software from my computer and reinstalling the .net framework, so how I can continue to get this error message blows my mind!)

Thanks,

Hi guys, I literally couldn't find a damn fix anywhere for this issue so I've had to make my own thread here, hopefully someone will be able to help! . So basically, I downloaded zoombies mod for Arma 3 alpha, and their launcher uses .NET Framework, but every time I hit launch it's been coming up with this error, it was working previously which is what annoys me most xD. Think something may have corrupted but I'm not entirely sure, I've already tried a system restore, re installing the software + updating it and also installing newer version. I've also tried the 'sfc /scannow' in CMD but that so far hasn't seemed to of fixed this issue, I can upload my CBS log if required.

Thanks in advance!

We upgraded our Oracle Application Testing Suite (OATS) to 12.5.0.2 which is supposed to work with Internet Explorer 11. This is on a Windows 2008 R2 SP1 server. Oracle says this error is an Internet Explorer 11 issue.  We have two users who are
getting this error and several users who are NOT getting the error when logging into OATS - Test Manager.  Everyone can log into OATS - Admin.  Logically, you would assume that if they can lot into Admin that they should be able to log into Test
Manager.  We just can't figure out why and need some ideas on things to try.  We do not use LDAP in OATS - it is not turned on as it is a new feature in OATS.  We were told that our problems running Open Script was because OATS needed
to be updated in order to work with Internet Explorer 11.  Does anyone know how to fix this login problem?

I have done a lot of research on search engines about this error and a lot of people are saying it is something to do with the start up registries and that one of my previous programs hasnít been uninstalled successfully Ė even though I have deleted all files I could find about my previous internet security programs.

So, if they are correct about the start up registries being wrong I tested it and unticked everything from the start up registry. (Displayed in the image below)

I rebooted my pc and still had no luck when trying to install the virgin media program and I am still stuck with the same error.

I called up virgin media but they said the problem is on my side.

Any help would be great!
