Preferred Solution: DirectX caused Firefox non-responsive. Direct3D Bypassed. Then Firefox couldn't load

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Ran a full system and boot time scan with Avast, as I do each month, without any previous problems.  On the next boot, unable to access Firefox from desktop shortcut, toolbar or start menu. Firefox will not launch in Normal or Safe Mode.  Unable to uninstall Firefox in Normal or Safe Mode.  Ran ComboFix and Rkill and had no effect.  Attempts to open Internet Explorer show "Cannot Display Web Page" message.  Chrome not installed.  Mozilla Thunderbird is installed and operates normally.  Periodic Avast updates are received.
My understanding is that REVO Uninstaller will remove Firefox and that a "Clean" reinstall of Firefox will resolve this issue, but how can Firefox be reinstalled without a operational browser?

In Firefox, most often when I am running Gmail, it is very slow or doesn't respond at all. Most often I have to close Firefox and then restart it. However, sometimes I get a message that I have an unresponsive script. Following is a message I recently received and it gave me the choice to stop the script:
Script: chrome://global/content/bindings/browser.xml:0

I thought that maybe it was due to Firefox add-on, so that I've been running Firefox in the Safe Mode, but still continue to encounter this unresponsiveness.

Any ideas on how to solve problem?

Hi, I am having a few problems when clearing history. I am trying to clear all history and as soon as I click "Clear" my firefox applications that are open freeze and become non responsive forcing me to end process. In task manager the Firefox.exe shows as using 900,00k of memory when unresponsive.

I have tried running in Safe Mode but the problem still occurs.

I have also scanned MBAM which found nothing.

Thanks GamingJon

Hi, I've been using firefox for a few years, and for this computer, a few months. It's always been great, reliable and fast, but recently it will always go non-responsive saying (Not responding) for about 30 seconds, then work for about 1 second. it seems to be happening in groups, usually about 10 mins long, then smooth surfing for a long while. what is the problem, and what can be done to solve it?

A:[SOLVED] Firefox always hanging or going non-responsive

Disable all your addons and toolbars if you've got any installed, then restart Firefox. If this solves the problem, re-enable the addons one at a time, restarting Firefox after each one until the problem returns. The last addon you re-enabled is probably causing the problem.

Hi,I am trying to access this web page www.seek.com.au. I never had any problem with it.http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2590/375589...e6e32eed4_o.jpgRecently, I had to reformat 1 of my notebooks. However, I can if I use IE.Using my other old notebook, I did not have any problems with this web page using Firefox or IE.I simply can't work out why it will not work on Firefox on my re-formatted notebook. Please advise. I woke up this morning to all my Firefox browser tabs not responding. I did a restart on Firefox, the home page never loaded, just got the spinning cursor. Opened Chrome to see if it was a connectivity issue, and my home page was hijacked to avg secure search. Did a search in program manager in control panel, but did not find any instance of the AVG toolbar installed (not sure if it actually is or not, or if the browser just got hijacked). Hi! If anyone could help me with my problem I would be infinitely grateful.I'm usually pretty good at removing viruses by doing an internet search to target my problem but this one completely baffles me and I'm panicking a bit! I'm using Windows Vista. So about an hour ago my computer started slowing down as it expected when I have been running my computer for many hours, with a lot of windows and programs opened up. So I restarted my computer and tried to reopen Firefox. It redirected me to a screen that told me my Firefox had been updated and that's when my computer becomes non-responsive. The mouse/pointer moves freely but when I click anywhere on the screen, nothing happens. (For example, usually buttons become beveled or highlighted on mouseover but on my possibly-infected computer this does not occur). Typing anything on the keyboard does not generated a response either (I tried doing alt+tab to see if I could switch windows. I tried doing ctrl+alt+delete). Interestingly, I can still eject the CD-driver by pressing the button on the side of my computer...That works. Otherwise, all I can do is hold down the power button with my finger until the screen turns off.I have nothing popping up on the screen though. No windows or random programs to indicate that I have some sort of rogue program. What I have tried:Starting the computer in safe mode (without networking). After everything loaded, I did not try to open up Firefox. Instead, the first thing I ... Read more

A:Firefox caused an Error

Firstly, make sure it is in the correct location. It should be here:-
C:\Windows(or WINNT)\System32\MACROMED\Flash....
If it isn't, move it there.

If that doesn't work type about:plugins in your addy bar and 'Enter'. You'll see a list of all your plugins. As you rightly point out, it is the Shockwave player you're having problems with. If you can't make sense of what it says there, at the top you'll see a link for 'pluginsdoc'. Follow that link, you should be able to sort things out from there.

I'm a newbie on this site so if this question has already been asked, then apologies.
I recently updated Firefox (April 12, 45.0.2) which has long been my preferred browser, and since then I am getting locked out of all sorts of sites I would normally visit. I can no longer play youtube music, just get a black screen that eventually stops on an error message. I can no longer access MSN games on line and some sites are coming up with a security warning that seems to be related to site certificates being incorrectly configured. On some of these, there is an option to allow, and some will open, but others just revert to a white window with an indexed list in blue, none of which help as they wont open.
I checked with my AV provider and they ran a diagnostic on their software, Eset security 9, ( updated this at the same time) and it all checks out. So the problem appears to be Firefox. I can get into all things with either IE or Chrome, but they're not preferred.
Anybody got a probable cause? I'm not particularly au fait with Win 7 BTW. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling on May 6 which is now Firefox 46.0.1 but no change.

Ok..so I keep getting the "directx" message when I start the sims 2. This has happened to me countless times, and each time I have easily been able to fix this problem, except this time.

Windows XP home
System Man- NVIDIA
Processor- AMD Athlon(tm) XP 2800
Memory-1024MB RAM
DirextX version: DirectX 9.0c

ATI Radeon 9550/X1050 series
Manufacturer: ATI Tech
Chip Type: ATI Radeon Graphics Processor AGP
Total Mem: 256.0MB

DirectDraw Acceleration: Enabled
Direct3D - enabled
AGP Texture - N/A

at the bottom it says 'No problems found". When I run the "Test Direct3D" it says "failure at step 7" "failure at step 8" "failure at step 9"

A couple of days ago I played the sims and it was fine, then suddenly today that message pops up. I updated my drivers. I went to ATI site and downloaded 9550 and the 1050 ones..I don't know how to fix this problem.

There is a specific website my mother frequents for a game called Robo Runner at http://www.eyeplaygames.com. However, since she updated Firefox, the game boards load only partially. Also, it does not display proper font colors - robot names and game names are supposed to be certain colors depending on their current status.I tried updating all of our plugins, reinstalling Firefox, and installing an earlier version. However, I'm a bit confused because my mother says she stopped using IE awhile ago because it started doing the same thing.I have been unable to find anything on the game website about this problem. The reason I'm posting it here is because perhaps there's a setting somewhere or something I'm overlooking, and that this issue is more universal than simply one website and someone may have insight on it.On other computers the site loads fine. Anyone got any ideas?

A:DirectX Diagnostic and Direct3D

All cards "support" DX 9.0b/c. However, they may not have hardware acceleration for the newer features.

Its always a good idea to use the latest DirectX version and the latest drivers - even recent Catalyst drivers have giving my archaic Radeon 7000 speed boosts, and the same was the same with Detanators (what are they called now?) on my even older TNT2

Definately go for DirectX 9.0c and the latest nVidia drivers.

I see others have had similar problems, but they seem to be few and far between. Unfortunately, the suggestions in those threads have not helped me.

Basic Problem ? When running the DirectX diagnostic tool (Start>Run>dxdiag ? ?Display? tab, ?Test Direct3D? button), I get the error ?You cancelled the test by pressing a key?. It is my understanding (maybe misunderstanding) that DirectX controls a lot of stuff, more specifically to me, video editing and playback.

I am using a Dell Vostro 1510 laptop, now running Windows XP SP-3. Things I have done to remedy the problem;
- install new video drivers
- reinstall old video drivers
- disable anti-virus programs
- install newest versions of DirectX
- update java
- install newest versions of Windows Media Player
- unplug ?external? keyboard and mouse
- check every key on the laptop keyboard to make sure it?s not stuck
- terminated auto-update features
- uninstalled latest version of Windows Media Player

I may have done other things, but have forgotten. Of everything I tried nothing worked, however, when I uninstalled latest version of Windows Media Player, things improved. There are a couple of things, I think are important to note;
1. On a fresh boot or reboot, I have no problems with the test
2. Even on a fresh boot or reboot, Windows Media Player will only play a couple seconds max ? sometimes it will whack out the Direct3D test, and sometimes it won?t
3. On a fresh boot or reboot, even if Windows Me... Read more

In dxdiag, DirectDraw, Direct3D, and Texture all are disabled. DDI Version also shows as Unknown. I restarted and all is fine.

I have had Win7 for about a month now and this has only happened the past 1-2 weeks. My ATI drivers are from Asus and are 8.703.

Is there any other information I should look for and post? Any ideas on this problem?

A:DirectX (Direct3D) disables itself

I hate to tell you this, but both those Graphic cards are only DirectX 10.1 compatible not DirectX11.

Thats probably the issue

Apologies if you already know this, but basically to run DirectX11 3 things are needed.

1. A DirectX 11 OS (Windows 7... so you have this)
2. A DirectX 11 Graphics card (yours are only DirectX 10)
3. A DirectX 11 program,

If one of these things are missing it will default to the highest you can get, in your case DirectX 10 from the graphics cards

Hi all,

I've been browsing these forums for the past few days, and I thought that, as a few of the things I've tried (Removed Virtual CloneDrive, reinstalled the Catalyst drivers, etc) worked, I'd finally bite the bullet and ask for help.

For the past month or two, I've noticed regular BSODs every time I'd load up Bad Company 2 (Steam). Occasionally it'd BSOD randomly during other games. Borderlands (Steam) or Far Cry 2 (also Steam). A bit of research revealed that this was nothing out of the ordinary, as a -lot- of people owning 4xxx/5xxx cards were experiencing BSODs with Bad Company 2, and even Far Cry 2.

Recently, it had been occuring far more frequently, even Sid Meier's Pirates! resulted in a BSOD! (Also Steam). However, it's these past few days, the other half is away for a week so I thought I'd lug the 42" screen over to my desk, make the most of it for some real gaming.

Since doing so (It has run on this screen before, the TV isnt -that- far away from the desk and the cable reaches quite nicely normally), BSODs have been regular. I reinstalled the O/S two days ago and the number of BSODs have been mind boggling.

It's crashed while adding my music collection to iTunes, it's crashed watching anything YouTube/Gametrailers related fullscreen, it's crashed at the same point in Far Cry 2 every time (Can't avoid it, it's the introductory drive), it's crashed in Borderlands on a regular basis, and Dragon Age: Origins (Retail, not Steam, and what ... I run both IE 8 and Firefox on my Dell Dimension system. I'm having problems now with both browsers taking forever to load. This may be a virus or network problem. IE 8 just loaded now after 15 minutes (exactly - I timed it).

- Once it's loaded once, both browsers load in normal amounts of time.
- I haven't downloaded any new add-ons lately unless one browser or the other installed one in the background.
- The problem just started today after a reboot.
- I've also noticed that my network icon in the taskbar doesn't show up anymore when I first boot but by the time IE opens, it has showed up.
- Using ipconfig, I did determine that I am on the network and connected immediately after boot up (router also shows me connected immediately).
- I've tried running IE from the command line with iexplore.exe -extoff. It didn't make any difference. I don't know if this works with IE 8 though.
- When I click to open either web browser, the process shows up right away in Task Manager and remains.
- I have all the latest updates to both browsers that I know of.
- I've run a complete system scan with McAfee (fully updated as of today.)

Now I've run out of ideas on what to try. I appreciate any help!

I've had a strange issue that may have been caused by upgrading to Noscript 5.1.6. I closed my Firefox earlier today and shortly afterwards re-opened it, with the notification that Noscript had updated. However I found that many other websites had become inaccessible. Paypal.com brought up a screen with a message like "found, return to gb/home", www.bbc.co.uk gave a "301 moved permanently" message, and many other websites only opened as blank pages. Closing and re-opening the browser several times did not fix the problem. My first suspicion was that Noscript's update had caused an issue, so I disabled it, which fixed the issue immediately. After re-enabling it there was still no problem.
In retrospect the URLs I was using were missing the "HTTPS" prefix that is automatically added (my link to "www.bbc.co.uk" ordinarily sends me to "https://www.bbc.co.uk/", "paypal.com" to "https://www.paypal.com/gb/home", etc), which makes me wonder if there was an issue with redirects.
Oddly, one website that loaded fine when all others I tried failed - https://www.redlettermedia.com/ - now returns a "Secure Connection Failed" message - "SSL received a record that exceeded the maximum permissible length." Notably, this also happens when I try and access it on my phone, outside of my home network.
I've run a scan with MBAM for good measure, which turned up nothing. The problem appears to be fixed apart from that one website; can anyone shed some light as to what may have happene... Read more

Have you updated to Firefox 57? According to the NoScript website it is still not compatible with 57.
NoScript - JavaScript/Java/Flash blocker for a safer Firefox experience! - what is it? - InformAction
Where's NoScript for Firefox 57 "Quantum"?

2017-11-14: We're working hard to make NoScript for Quantum available to you as soon as possible, definitely by the end of this week.
Please be patient: if you feel naked while you're waiting for the "brand new" NoScript, you can still use the "regular" NoScript 5.x (and all the other extensions of yours) on Firefox 52 ESR, which will receive security updates until June 2018. See you soon!
EDIT: Redlettermedia is not a secure site. I just went to it with no problem using Firefox 56 and NoScript enabled. I'm not
updating to 57 until NoScript is compatible. I did look at the scripting being blocked and didn't see anything malicious on
the redlettermedia.com home page.
My NoScript was updated 10 days ago to 5.1.5....you may be allowing their not ready for prime time beta releases.

This is a problem that I have had since yesterday, all the programs that are mentioned above and those that I may not be aware of are corrupting itself. What I mean is that firefox can't be opened, and deleted via control panel...same goes for AVG. I get something like "application.ini" or something like that not working/missing the first time I tried opening firefox, all other atttempts just says firefox was missing. Whenever I restart my pc, an error message pops up that says an nvidia file was missing. Whenever I try playing any games, it says a part of directx is missing. The directx parts missing is random depending on the games played, OpenAL21.dll, d3dx9_32.dll, d3dx9_27.dll etc. Now I have tried removing/reinstalling all the ablove mentioned programs properly, and everything would work. But that only lasts for 30minutes or so, after that everything if back to being corrupted again. I have a few virus scans with no results, and my harddrive seems to be somewhat active even when cpu usage is only 4%. Please help! Since this is kind of long, I have attached the hijack log in the next post.

but when he tried to install it, it wouldnt work because i already had 11 on the computer...
So he decided to delete the folders containing the files for Directx 11 and 3D, and now when we try to run any game on the laptop it says we require Directx,

But i hve tried to install a new one and update.

But i keep getting an error message telling me to refer to Directx and DXerror.

Hey, I've just tried running two games: Republic: the Revoloution, and Everquest2. BOTH have failed from what seems to be direct x issues. Republic will not start, citing a 'failure to find any compatible direct3d devices' and everquest 2 has a directx issue.

Tried the obvious- latest drivers and directx.... no effect.
dxdiag says direct 3d is not available, so I figure that's the issue... but like I said- latest software for my os, both on the driver and directx.

Specs are as follows:
Dell XPS M1210
Windows 7 64 bit RC
Intel GMA 950 graphics chip on a 945 express chipset

latest drivers as stated above.

I am not very computer inclined, because I'm still learning, but my problems is that when I went out and bought myself Neverwinter Nights(Ask if you want the specs)
My computer had a horrible time running it however, the game is old and isn't something that should lag. So I went and talked to Atari, and they said it was a problem with my Direct3D, which I went into the DirectX Dignostics and checked. I don't trust companies, they make mistakes. So Then I went and got the update for DirectX making it Vers. 9.0
Then after realizing that my Driver should be updated to work with it, I did so, I'm not sure if it was correctly done, but chances are it was.
Now a larger problem has arisen, I can no longer do anything with my display or my computer will reset itself, for example, trying to run a full screan program, or even changing the size of my desktop. It's fusterating me now and I'd like assistance, can you help?

--My computer specs
AMD Sempron 2200, 1.45Ghz
512Mb Of RAM
ATI Radeon 9000 pro, 128mb
(Anything else that matters, ask?)

I have gotten my computer to stop shutting down when the video changes now, but I still have problems with DirectX.

A:Issues With DirectX(Direct3D)And Driver update.

How recent are your system & video card drivers?

It is my guess that if you don't have recent ATI Catalyst drivers (for your Radeon 9000) to "play nice" with DirectX v9, that may be the issue. Go to http://www.ati.com and download the latest Catalyst drivers, if you haven't already.

Another consideration is your operating system: If you are running anything besides Windows XP or 2000, I would say that is also a likely culprit. If it is Win 98 or ME, I would highly recommend an upgrade, or preferably, a clean install to XP. If it's 2000 or XP, make sure you have the most recent Service Pack installed. I'm guessing that it is not XP Service Pack 2, or it would have already had DirectX 9.0c installed.

Look into both of those items and you should be able to fix your video issues.

Ok..so I keep getting the "directx" message when I start the sims 2. This has happened to me countless times, and each time I have easily been able to fix this problem, except this time.

Windows XP home
System Man- NVIDIA
Processor- AMD Athlon(tm) XP 2800
Memory-1024MB RAM
DirextX version: DirectX 9.0c

ATI Radeon 9550/X1050 series
Manufacturer: ATI Tech
Chip Type: ATI Radeon Graphics Processor AGP
Total Mem: 256.0MB

DirectDraw Acceleration: Enabled
Direct3D - enabled
AGP Texture - N/A

at the bottom it says 'No problems found". When I run the "Test Direct3D" it says "failure at step 7" "failure at step 8" "failure at step 9"

A couple of days ago I played the sims and it was fine, then suddenly today that message pops up. I updated my drivers a bunch of times, installed things and uninstalled things trying to fix this problem.

Anyone know any possible solutions instead of buying a new video card?? How can I tell if my video card died?

4. Once restarted, check the Add/Remove Programs list again for any remaining ATI software or other drivers that you have tried.
5. If any ATI software is still listed, click Change/Remove on those entries to uninstall each one individually.
6. Next, please scroll through the list until you find an entry called DAO
7. Select DAO, then Click Change/Remove to uninstall this program.

1.Go to link below - Double-click on the downloaded driver file. Click Run
Use the default directory for extracting the files and press the Install button.

Hello, this question is regarding DirectX 9.0.

While doing anual maintenace on my parents computer, my sister claimed her game ( The Sims 2) wasn't working recently. I updated the computer with Microsoft's Updates, and also ran the "dxdiag" to make sure the drivers were up to date. When I clicked "Test Direct3D" it gave me a blue screen error. It's a really long error but the important lines I picked out were, "A serious problem has occured and seems to be caused by: win32k.sys" and also it came up with a bunch of numbers, "Stop: 0x00000050, (0xE16EA304, 0X00000000, 0XBF8A6149, 0X00000001)" then it said Technical Information: "win32k.sys - Address BF8A6149 base at BF800000, Datestamp 49900FC9".

I haven't installed any new hardware on this machine, and neither has anyone else that I am aware of. This game has been on this computer for awhile and this problem just came up. Help?

When I launch from Start --> Dxdiag (to attempt to see my DirectX 11's functions) I get an error message which reads "dxDiag has detected that there might have been a problem accessing Direct3D the last tiem this program was used. Would you like to bypass Direct3D this time?"
Answering Yes: I see the menu as expected. According to my computer, everything about DirectX11 is running properly and is fully updated. The DirectX Diagnostic Tool claims that there are no problem found.
Also, DirectDraw Acceleration is DISABLED and Direct3D Acceleration and AGP Textrue Acceleration is NOT AVAILBLE

Answering No: Error message and the program crashes. [This seems to suggest that the issue lies with Direct3D of DirectX 11]]

When I try to change my display settings. --> Advanced Settings for "Generic PnP Monitor and Intel® HD graphics 4000 properties --> Troubleshoot tab reads: "If your current display driver allows you to change settings, click this button to troubleshoot problems with your computer's display" I am NOT able to access this (Change Settings button is colored gray and unclickable)

I go into Task Manager and it shows that firefox.exe is using about 50% CPU and 200MB memory but nothing is loading.

Any suggestions as to why this has just started to happen and more importantly, how do I get back to it working properly.

Hi -- New kid on the block here. I've got a basket of problems that all may be related, but I'll start with the most obvious one. I've been using Firefox for years very satisfactorily. Somehow, this past week it has gone bad (maybe the v 3.5.6 or whatever), and it would not work at all, so I uninstalled it and then downloaded and reinstalled. Now after it is downloaded and ready to install, I get the following message: title "Firefox .exe application error"; message, "The application was unable to start correctly. (0X0000056)." What does this mean and how to resolve the error? Any help would really be appreciated. rfb100

Also downloaded Malwarebites, but could not install - I try and run as administrator and the hour galss appears for a second like it was going to start the installation and just quits. Was able to run Defoggger, HijackThis, and DDR. Extracted GMER but when I try to run the program I get the same error as IE and Firefox. Since I cannot get to the internet (I am connect to my network and have local and internet capability), I had to download all of the programs and install via usb drive. When I boot the machine I get an error that says "MSASCui.exe failed to initialize", and Windows Security Center wont run properly either - it also states Windows defender stopped. Tried to do a system restore, but Vista says that there are no restore points available.

On the DEsktop there is a shortcut for the following program:

Norton 360 will not run.

UPDATE: changed name of gmer.exe and was able to run and have attached the file - ark.txt, also attached the attach.txt file from DDR.

Hello Paul (the fixer), I am SifuMike and I will be helping you. Aunt Jean couldn't get her ad-aware to run. It always seemed to hang up at the same place. I am assuming you solved the Ad-aware problem. Ad-aware SE uses a lot of memory when it runs, so adding more memory or running it in Safe Mode may fix it. Hey guys,

Seems like quite an active forum here. I've run into a little problem today I'm hoping someone can help me with: I am using Firefox (1.05, I think) as my browser, only since this morning it won't load more than once.

What I mean is, when I boot my system (running Win XP) I can load Firefox either by using a shortcut or navigating to the executable directly. If I want to open another window (either because I want 2 windows at once, or took a break from browsing and then came back) it doesn't load up: precisely nothing appear to happen. This happens whether I use the shortcut or executable. Firefox doesn't appear among running processes, either. This problem has persisted despite several reboots.

Unless there was some Windows Update automatically downloaded last night, I've not changed my configuration for a while. Spyware and virus checkers come up clean.

Any ideas, anyone?

Turned on PC this morn and Firefox refused to load.
My hard drive clicked/clunked 3-5 times then I received the CrashReporter dialog.
While it was trying to load all other windows and functions would not respond.
I updated, rebooted, scanned drive, defragged and rebooted again. Still not loading.

This is where it gets strange.
All other programs work. It seems to be just browsers functioning incorrectly.

Safari had similar issues.
Chrome clunks and clicks then eventually loads.
IE works first time! I hate IE.

I wondered could it be a firewall conflict? I use zonealarm free.

Please help.

Well, I've had the new laptop (with cursed Vista) for three days and already there're problems.

I've been using Firefox this evening but now I can't get it to start. There was a window which said Firefox is already running---but it's not---now, even that window doesn't appear; the little "busy circle" spins for thirty seconds then disappears. The task manager shows nothing running. I rebooted with same results. I decided to uninstall/reinstall but add/remove says I can't when Firefox is running---but it's not. It's not, I tell you, it's not.

There are other things I can't yet figure out but I'll leave those until later.

A:Can't load Firefox

in the task manager go to to the processes tab and look for firefox.exe if it is still there then firefox is running the background.

left click on it and click end process and this will stop Firefox.

you then should be able to reopen firefox and it begin to work.

hope this helps

Some websites, for example:
http://www.colonialfirstate.com.au/ and

do not load in my newly installed IE7.

The error message says:

This program cannot display the webpage

Most likely causes:
You are not connected to the Internet.
The website is encountering problems.
There might be a typing error in the address.

What you can try:
Check your Internet connection. Try visiting another website to make sure you are connected.
Retype the address.
Go back to the previous page.
More information

But the same websites load OK in Firefox.

I have fiddled around with the security settings etc., but still no joy.

I did not have such a problem with IE6.

I also use Maxthon Browser from time to time. But since that is based on IE engine, even that will not show some websites.

Can somebody suggest a solution?

The only Firewall that I use is WinPatrol. I clean up Malware once in a while with AdAware SE.

My Firefox we browser is acting erratically. It often only loads the first half of a page properly. The remaining half is then jibberish - it looks to be html code. Any ideas on what's making it do this and how to fix it?

A:Firefox won't load properly...

Is it doing the same thing with IE or other browsers? The simplest fix would be to download the latest version, save it , save your bookmarks, and reinstall Firefox.
