I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Hello! I am opening this thread here because I haven't found any specifics about the HDMI version on this model despite searching a lot, which is quite baffling to be honest. This model (320-14IKB) has an HDMI port but it's version is not specified. Notice that I am not asking for FPS for gaming since I know the HD Graphics 620 is not really suited for that. I just want to know how high of a raw refresh rate I can achieve through the HDMI port.

First off, I'm really sorry but I have no idea where to post this, I'm new here. I'm having a couple of issues which I'm unsure how to solve.  1. When I try to connect to my TV via the HDMI cable (it's an older Samsung TV) the TV picks up my computer and it shows up on the display, but the screen is cut in two. There's a top half and a bottom half, and I can't seem to fix it no matter what I do. I'm tried working with the TV settings, but to no avail.  2. When I load up a new tab in Google Chrome, the mouse either disappears for a few seconds while the new tab loads OR it ends up a few centimeters above the original placement of the mouse (also much more pixelated). How on earth do I solve this one? I tried fiddling around in the settings in Chrome, but that just made it worse so I changed it back.  3. Sometimes when I open a YouTube and maximize the video to fit the screen, it lags and freezes for something like ten seconds and no command will help, not even ctrl+alt+delete. Can I change this somehow? Is this not related to perhaps the battery or energy settings?

Hi, today my hdmi port stopped working. I used my 22" LG monitor every day until it stop working today. In the morning i unplugged the monitor because i needed to take the computer at the university. Back home a few hours later plugged everything and all seemed to work fine. Then i restarted my pc after an installation. At the startup the pc won't recognize the monitor. So i tried to connect to another monitor, still not working. Tested the hdmi cable with another pc and it's working perfectly. So had to be my hdmi. Unistalled both intel and nvidia card, reinstalled back, still not working. The only thing haven't tried yet is a clean installation (did the last one a week ago). Also i noticed that sometimes the image on the screen was "waving" like there was a bad contact with the cable but after 1 or 2 seconds back normally. Don't know if i had to wipe and reinstall all again or give up and send the pc to customer service for replacemante or repair. If someone had this problem and solved i appreciate every suggestion, thanks  EDIT: Forget to say that when i plug in the hdmi cable the regular blinking light of the screen stay on for 2 o 3 second, the appear a no input signal on the screen and start blinking again. Like the screen somehow see the input but can't display the image

Hi, I just got my new Lenovo P50 a few days ago, and so far it was a great experience. The only thing that doesn't work is the HDMI connector. I understand the HDML is connected directly to the NVIDIA GPU. I assumed it will work when setting the BIOS to discrete graphics, but that didn't help as well.Steps I took  (The HDMI cable is, of course, connected, and "Project" settings (Fn F7 or Windows-P) is set to "extend")1) Update NVIDIA drivers2) Use NVIDIA drivers recommended by lenovo3) Reduce resolution to HD and Full HD (the projector I am connecting supports both resolutions)4) many many restarts  I have noticed another thing - In the BIOS there is a way to configue the device to which the boot screen will be sent to. The options are "ThinkPad Display", "DisplayPort" and "Display On Dock". But the documentation on the right side is also saying there SHOULD be an Option "HDMI". Which is not there. When looking into the NVIDIA native system information, it shows 1 native output (the laptop's screen) which is "connected". Other than that ttere are 3 (!) display ports, all 3 not connected (thou the projector is on, and the cable is connected). To me it seems like the HDMI port is disabled, but I can't find any way to enable it! Any help will be appreciated.

Hi Everyone, I am trying to connect the system to my Monitor using HDMI.I went to the BIOS and selected the IGD from the video devices, pressed F10 ( Save and exit).Immediately lost power supply to CPU and, the system didn't start.  Called Customer Service and followed the instructions pressed the power button for 10 sec by unplugging the power cord and the system started again normally. After that I tried to connect my monitor using HDMI and its still not working. I went to the BIOS again and changed the Video device to Auto and pressed F10 again. Same problem repeated again. Customer service said that they cannot do any thing as if I open the system to disconnect the expansion card,if any damage happens it voids the warranty as I got the system (new)  yesterday. Any help to connect to use HDMI by disabling the expansion slot will be really helpful and appreciated. Also, why the system is losing the power supply after I do a save in the BIOS? Here are the specs of my system and currently using DVI ports to connect my monitor: ? 4th Generation Intel Core i7-4790 Processor (3.60GHz 1600MHz 8MB)? Windows 8.1 64? NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 2GB? 32.0GB PC3-12800 DDR3 SDRAM 1600 MHz? 2TB 7200 RPM + 8GB SSHD? DVD Recordable? Broadcom 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi wireless  Thank you,Manohar

I had the same problem and just returned mine today (tech support suggestion).  I'm guessing you've probably gotten this fixed by now but how about connecting your monitor using the mini HDMI connector on the NVIDIA card.  I read this in another post "after" I've sent mine back.  My understanding is that the on-board graphics port (HDMI/VGA) are disabled since you'll be using the NVIDIA card.   I'm using two monitors and did get one to display using the DVI-I on the NVIDIA card...but tech support said if "not" using the NVIDIA card I should still get a signal using the on-board ports.  I'm interested in seeing how this turns out...I purchased the same machine as you did.  Now I'm waiting for a replacement....

Hello! The story begins 1 year ago, when I decided that I don't want my Windows OS and I want Linux. So I tried to install Ubuntu and installed it on its own, so no Windows anymore on my HDD. After that point my USB 3.0 and HDMI ports didn't work. I've tried everything on my Linux distribution(Arch Linux) and nothing works, dmesg -w doesn't even react in any way when I connect anything to any of the ports. I installed recently Windows 10 and the ports still don't work.In both Linux and Windows can't be the drivers fault, nor loading different modules in Linux.Does someone, who really understands Lenovo hardware know something of this? I've already given up, so I just want to understand what I broke during the installation of Linux. Thanks in advance!

Hello, I'm in IT where I work and we have a few Lenovo P50 laptops. They are all on the same image that I've created but one in particular has the HDMI port that will just not work. I've tried the Thunderbolt firmware upgrade but in order for that to work it says that you must connect it to an external monitor through HDMI and have it displaying which it will not do. Since we've had this one it used to display just fine on HDMI but now it does not. Any ideas for getting the firmware upgraded to see if it helps?

I just got this computer directly from Lenovo. If I use an HDMI connection it will take FOREVER to load or not load at all. If I use a VGA connection it will load instantly. I hear contacting Lenovo sucks so that is why I am trying here. For example. I had it loading and it has been nearly 30minutes loading connected to the HDMI connection and is now on the Windows 8 screen.  Just got a new computer running Windows 8.1. If I have a VGA cable connected to it, Windows seems to load very rapidly and works well with no issues. If I use just the HDMI cable, Windows takes up to 30 minutes to load and every things takes a long time to load. How can VGA vs HDMI depend on how fast Windows loads and works.  What is causing this issue??? PLEASE help. I did try to install my old video card from my old computer that was purchased about 8 months ago. It does have a windows 8.1 64-bit driver but the hardware would never be found and it would not go directly to the on-board VGA with the graphics card in.  Please HelpMod Edit:  Merged duplicate posts re same issue - Hamluis.

A:Lenovo K450e HDMI vs VGA working

How PC connects to monitor does not affect boot speed of the Windows OS the reason why HDMI connection affecting boot process of the Windows OS could be your monitor is not setup correctly which could result of no image on monitor display or Windows OS or graphic card software is not set correctly make sure to adjust the resolution, color quality, and refresh rate, mode for multiple displays and select the signal format for a standard TV or HDTV (high definition television). You can use the graphic card software to adjust settings.

So ive encountered a recuring problem with my V110 laptop. The HDMI port on the computer is sometimes not working. Usually it takes a couple of hours each time to get it working again but im getting annoyed that this is a requrring problem. (general things ive done is make sure the HDMI ports on tv works, changed hdmi cable, changed computer ect to verify its a problem with the V110)Generally the HDMI port stops working after either windows updates, or software installs, however this time it did not work to roll back any updates or uninstall any programs. Ive disabeled and re-enabled graphics drivers, updated graphics drivers, rolled back a windows sequrity update that came into play 13th/14th of sep. 2017.Nothing shows up under display adapter in device manager, and ive tried many of the suggestion fixes on different forum posts to no solution.I'm fresh out of ideas. Anyone have any suggestions before i just reinstall windows in hope that no updates will screw over the HDMI port?

I am totally disappointed in Lenovo's customer support. My lenovo 710s was bought less than 1 year ago (as of 10/6/2017, when I sent it in for repairs) and had 2 years warranty (1+1 year of extended warranty). I sent my laptop for repair due to a white spot issue on the monitor, affecting viewing of webpages and videos. However, the laptop was returned after 3 weeks without any fixes/repairs, as Lenovo claimed that it was a cosmetic issue. I wrote a message on their customer care website on 3/7/2017. However, they ignored me and there was no reply to date.  I thought Lenovo is a reliable and popular brand. However, it turned out to be a horrible decision, much to my dismay!

So everything has been working fine on my laptop until about 10:30PM EST tonight. I bought it new in August 2011.
Specs:

OS: Windows 7 Home Premium
CPU: Intel Core i7-2630QM @ 2.00 GHz
RAM: 8 GB
HD: 750 GB
BIOS: 45CN36WW

It's always been a fine machine with NO problems.
However, last night there were Windows 7 updates that were installed and then restarted my computer. I had not gotten a chance to check exactly what they were though. About 10:30 this evening, flash crashed in Mozilla Firefox which is not that uncommon, and from there Firefox closed, and so did my Microsoft Word and Excel apps that were open. From there, my computer began to shut down and restart. When it went to restart, all it could do was go to the opening Lenovo screen which gives you the F2 (setup option) and F12 (multiboot menu option) as it typically does. Besides a thin strip at the top that appeared after about 30 secs that only displays moving static that eventually will just stick, that is where the boot process ends. No Windows 7 screen, and certainly no opportunity to boot into safe mode to check for any problems. The screen freezes and goes nowhere.

So basically, all I'm getting in terms of boot options are lenovo features, not windows 7 features, meaning it won't boot into windows 7 or windows 7 safe mode no matter what I try. The biggest problem here is that I have no windows 7 disc to even try to boot from my dvd drive.

Anybody have any suggestions on what the probl... Read more
