Firefox crashes everytime I try to launch it.

Q: Firefox crashes everytime I try to launch it.

It had too many tabs and it keeps crashing every time I try to launch it. Maybe there is a bug? I created another account and it works there well but I want it to work well on this account too.
Turning the computer on and off didn't work.

Preferred Solution: Firefox crashes everytime I try to launch it.

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

A: Firefox crashes everytime I try to launch it.

First step would be to try starting Firefox in Safe Mode, which is done by holding down the shift key and double-clicking the FF desktop icon. (I think, but don't know, that this will work with a single click if you have a FF icon on the Windows task bar.)

Alternatively, Start Button/Run/ and one of these:

firefox -safe-mode
"C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" -safe-mode
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" -safe-mode

I have an HP laptop running Vista. For the past few days that I've used it at work, everytime I try to access the net with firefox, it crashes and asks if I want to send a report. It also asks if I want to try to restore the session, but if I do that it crashes again. The only way to access the internet is to use IE, which connects right away, then click on my firefox icon. Firefox connects with no problem when I do it that way. This only happens on the wifi at work. On the home wifi, firefox comes right up with no issues.
No known hardware/ software upgrades.

A:Firefox crashes everytime when opening

Forgot to add; normally down at the lower right, on the two monitors icon, there is a globe. Right now there isn't and when I go to Network and Sharing Center, it shows my computer----> City of " "---x---and a globe. So the connection to the net has a red "x" between it and the network I am on, and is showing "Local only". But I'm still connected to the net.?

Hey guys. I'm trying to understand what's going on with this system.
Firefox crashes immediately upon launch with a fresh install after removing from Add/Remove programs. The user says Internet Explorer starts by itself sometimes and reports general strangeness with the system.
Its running Bitdefender and Malwarebytes and neither shows infections.
I have run DDS on the system via teamviewer and was wondering where to go from here.
Attached is attach.txt and here is the content of dds.txt. Any help would be very appreciated.

Any ideas on how I can force IE 11 to always launch maximized for a new user profile and/or existing user profiles either by modifying the registry or by GPO?

So far, I know I can right click/properties any IE shortcut and change Run from "normal window" to "maximized." I have not figured out where in the registry I can make this change.

I also, understand that Windows remembers the size of IE in the Windows_Placement key under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main but haven't figured a way I can use this to my advantage.

Here is a exactly what I want, when a user logs on, IE launches maximized at startup (I have a GPO to launch IE at startup). When a user launches IE from the desktop it opens maximized. User should be able to adjust the size of IE, close IE then launches IE and it opens maximized.

Any help would greatly be appreciated

I don't know whether I have a malware problem, or a hard-drive-in-death-throes problem, or what. But I figured it was best to start here, so if it's not a virus I can go over to the XP forum with that ruled out.

Over the past few months my desktop has been steadily driving me nuts. First it began giving me BSODs at random intervals, anything from a day to a month apart. (Currently, about once every three weeks.) The most common error is 0x0000008E, but I've also had 0x00000019, 0x00000024, 0x1000000A, 0x0000004E (PFN_LIST_CORRUPT), 0x0000007F, 0x0000000A (IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL), and 0x00000050 (PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA). Usually it crashes at startup, but it has taken as much as twenty minutes. I've tried defragging the hard drive, using a registry cleaner, and replacing Sygate firewall (see below) but nothing appears to have worked.

Then Sygate starting occasionally crashing while I was online. I replaced it with PC Tools free firewall, which hasn't had any problems. (Yet...)

Somewhere in the last several months (hard to say whether it was before or after Sygate and the BSODs, it seems to have been creeping up for a while) Firefox developed an increasing tendency to hang. It reached the point where it was basically non-functional for a good quarter hour after connecting. During that time doing anything - maximising or minimising windows, accessing the start menu - took forever. Then Firefox started crashing - constantly. I worked my way through the official trou... I've posted this thread before, but got no reply, so I'm trying again. I'm really up a tree here! Can someone please try to assist me.

I?ve got Win XP S/P 2 installed and I?ve now installed IE7. However, it crashes every time just as it starts up and attempts to open a web page.

I?ve tried all of the following:

The following fix:
1. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\UseCoInstall Setting the parameter for ?UseCoInstall to ?0??, but the sub key ?UseCoInstall? does not exist on my machine.

2. I?ve also installed the following hotfix: 308823_ENU_i386_zip
3. I?ve also started Internet Explorer (No add ons) from system tools.
4. I?ve also reset all Internet settings through the start/run command.
5. I?ve also set another web page as the default page through the start/run option.

Nothing helps, it still crashes, so what do I do next?

Hi guys,

I just bought a new computer that came with Win7 64bit installed and it keeps crashing every time I reboot.
I have attached the dmp file. Maybe you can give some input.
I really want to get your opinion before returning the machine. Hopefully it is just a driver that is corrupted or something like that.
Thanks a lot.

A:New Computer crashes almost everytime I reboot

Hello and welcome to here.

You are getting 0x124 stop errors. This thread is how to troubleshoot/repair it.

First thing to do is visit NVIDIA's site and install the latest graphics driver. It's good for troubleshooting purposes to run the latest and to eliminate as a possible factor.

Since it's a new computer, visit the maker of your ram for exact Vdimm (memory voltage) and timings. Manually adjust your bios accordingly, after updating the bios to latest.

Use the spd tab of CPU-Z if you need to find the model number of the ram.

Also in the bios, ensure Plug and Play OS is set to yes. And no overclocking please, for troubleshooting reasons and purposes. CPU-Z can help you determine if you are or not. After it's fixed, you can set it how you wish.

I'm worried since I bought it last year, it's a Toshiba Satellite M645, Intel Core I5 M480, 4Gb ram, Windows 7 64 bits.

Thanks a lot again, and sorry about my english.

Hi there.

I'm really having a hard time figuring this out... I've been playing World of Warcraft for a while now and have always been crashing when I do certain things and only certain things in the game(which are very important: ie turning in a quest).

However sometimes it has extended beyond that, such as I crash while loading up into the game. This has now come to the point where it's every time I load up. I've reinstalled the game but it hasn't fixed it. I'm thinking it's a hardware issue but I can't be certain.

Can I get some feedback please? I've got some minidumps for the past day of anguish.

A:Game crashes everytime I try to load in.

You should provide some system specifications, such as the amount and type of RAM, the make and model of processor, video card, and hard drive.

What screen resolution are you using and what type (CRT/LCD) and size of monitor?

Have you visited the game's site to find out if your hardware meets the requirements to play the game, or if there are any issues, patches, etc.,

Back story: two year old nephew hits the power button while I was browsing the net. Nothing out of the ordinary with it. However, since then everything has gone to batshit crazy. First ChromePlus, a browser, goes bad. It would freeze Windows the moment i launched it. I deleted that and things seemed to return to normal. Then the exact same problem happened to MSN Messenger.

So i deleted MSN messenger as well. And the PC is running perfectly fine, However, whenever I try to install something, anything for that matter, Windows crashes and eventually gives me a BSOD.

It seems it has locked itself. I have no idea what's causing it. I wouldn't like to reformat and I am hoping there is a solution to this. Unfortunately, for some reason, there was no system restore point! So can't do that as well. I am really hoping some of geniuses have an answer.

Hi all,

First post ever! woo

But I have a serious problem. I recently used the nVidia nTune feature in their drivers package to tune my pc. I choose the 12hr option and it mentioned that your pc may need to be restarted but that the program would continue once back in windows. Every so often you would get a blue screen error as the programme pushed the pc to its limits but it would restart fine. until...

I received the bluescreen of death with a 0x00000024 error:

STOP: 0x00000024 (0x001902FE, 0xF79026DC, 0xF79023D8, 0xF7B9FD4F)
ntfs.sys - Address F7B9FD4F base at F7B52000 Datestamp 45cc56a7

Now the computer will not start in any mode, it mentions that i may need to run a chkdsk but i cannot even do that as I cannot load into the the OS. I have tried booting using another hard disk then attaching the old HD once XP is loaded up, but that instantly crashes the system.

The faulty disk is a SATA 250GB disk, the old one was a 20GB ATA

Does anyone have any advice, please? I have also tried booting from a USB device but to no avail. I am totally lost and really, REALLY do not want to have to reinstall winXP again!

Hi -
I've attached an image of this crash. Google Chrome crashes when I start it up.

I've uninstalled Chrome and re-installed without deleting the data and with deleting the data; does not make a difference. This started just a couple hours ago, after I ran CCleaner - the browser cleanup program. I've run CCleaner many, many times over the years, so I don't think that was the problem.

I've rebooted the computer a couple times. No effect.
I tried turning off scanning software (Avast Antivirus and Comodo Firewall) but that had no effect.

Thank you in advance to anyone that tries to help.
I've been trying to fix my mums computer for a couple of weeks. It is quite old for a laptop, about 6 years old, It may just need replaced due to age but when its on it actually runs pretty decent. My problems began when trying to make it run faster as it was getting the eggtimer when trying ot do anything at all on it. It runs faster now after It completed a few scans and quarantined a few things, then all of a sudden started crashing when trying to run any scans at all. Ive tried to run chkdsk, & im not sure if this completes because when I've ran it its just before I've went to bed and its sitting at the log in screen when I get up in the morning. I've ran avast boot scan and thats crashed and any another type of scan malware or sfs /scannow crashes it even in safe mode. It crashes after about 5 minutes into the scans. Iv'e tried to run the online antivirus scanners but the laptops crashes with them too. The computer did have a problem trying to come out of hibernation due to WD security, this has been uninstalled now.
Any type of idea on what to do would be great as I am stumped.
I realise it could be a virus stopping the scans, but without the scans being able to run to remove it i have no idea what to do now.
Many thanks,

Let's try looking at these 2 sets of reports:1)  Please run this report collecting tool (even though you may not be reporting BSOD's) so we can provide a complete analysis:  http://omgdebugging.com/bsod-inspector/When done a Notepad document will open with the name of the file and it's location.By default it'll be a .zip file located on your DesktopSimply upload the .zip file with your next post and we'll move on from there. If it doesn't work for you, then please try this:  http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/576314/blue-screen-of-death-bsod-posting-instructions-windows-10-81-8-7-vista/2)  Please do the following:- open Event Viewer (run eventvwr.msc from the "Run" dialog)- expand the Custom Views category (left click on the > next to the words "Custom Views")- right click on the "Administrative Events" heading- select "Save all Events in Custom View as..."- save the file as Admin.evtx- zip up the file (right click on it, select "Send to", select "Compressed (zipped) folder")- upload it with your next post (if it's too big, then upload it to a free file-hosting service and post a link here).FYI - If we're looking for Event ID 41 errors (unexplained shutdowns), there's more info on that here:  http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2028504While waiting for a reply, please monitor your temps with this free utility:  http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/hwmonitor.html

Just got a new Acer Aspire laptop which is a 64Bit computer bundled with Win 7 Home 64Bit edition.

Every time I open the 32Bit version of IE8 it crashes on start up. I've disabled all add-in's, uninstalled Flash OCX (as I heard it can cause browsers to crash), uninstalled adobe. Tried resetting browser options back to default, tried various switches to start IE in different modes. Sometimes I can get it to open up without crashing, but as soon as I try to navigate or do anything it crashes straight away.

If I boot Windows 7 in Safe mode with Networking support, IE8 32Bit loads fine, no crashing. So it must be driver / third party related.. but what.

I just bought Dell inspiron 15 5000 series November 6 and it doing nicely until last week because I think I'm just using it for watching movies and surfing the web and last week I install games like shadow of mordor, splinter cell, resident evil revelations 2 and  It works fine and after that I install steam dota 2, one piece pirate warriors and saints row IV and those three most of the time it freezes my screen, make the sound of tztztztztztz (I thought its broken when its like that) and keyboard wont work when the screen is froze or making the sound tztztztztztz. And when I restart it, it takes so long to boot not unlike when I first buy it, only few seconds and I'm in the desktop already.
Does this laptop have problems playing those games? I mean this laptop have 8gb ram and 4gb graphics card,my graphics card are updated and I'm using windows 10. Does this laptop have internal problems of some sort or what?

I think this might be a driver issue since I tried one of those driver updater programs I started getting regular crashes. The computer crashes on boot and then restarts and logins normally, but instead of the 10-20 secs a computer with this specs should take to start windows it takes 1+ min, because it crashes and then restarts again.

It also occurs randomly when I leave the computer ON at night.
Any more info needed just let me know.

I have a dump file from another crash earlier this month but it's 600mb and from what I have read the info from SF diagnostic is enough.

Sorry for the delay in responding. There just aren't that many people who do BSOD analysis, so at times we get a bit overwhelmed!

SSD's were temperamental when they first came out, but their reliability has improved greatly over the last year or two. There are 2 things that MUST be checked on systems with BSOD's and SSD's:

1) That the SSD firmware is the latest available for the SSD
2) That the storage controller drivers on the motherboard are the most recent. They must date from late 2012 or later. This is ALL controllers, not just the one that the SSD is attached to.

Daemon Tools (and Alcohol % software) are known to cause BSOD's on some Windows systems (mostly due to the sptd.sys driver, although I have seen dtsoftbus01.sys blamed on several occasions).

Please un-install the program, then use the following free tool to ensure that the troublesome sptd.sys driver is removed from your system (pick the 32 or 64 bit system depending on your system's configuration): [S] DuplexSecure - FAQ [/S] Link broken as of 21 Jul 2012
New link (15 Aug 2012): DuplexSecure - Downloads (pick the appropriate version for your system and select "Un-install" when you run it).

FOREX is the world?s largest and very liquid trading market. Many consider FOREX as the suprime home business you can ever venture in. Even though regular people have had the fortuitous to take part in trading foreign currencies for profit. Even though it has been somewhat of a loosely guarded secret, every day more and more investors are turning to the all-electronic world of FOREX trading for profit and profit because of its numerous benefits & advantages over longstanding trading fomites, like funds, bonds and commodities. But, still, whenever something seems new or is just becoming a part of social conversation, news clauses, and water cooler gossip, misconceptions have to be overcome, the mind has to be open and the slate has to be clear for starting out fresh with the CORRECT info. So, in
