I recommend downloading and running DAP. It can help sort out any driver and firmware related issues on your system

It's worked out well for many of us in the past.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloaddap.org. (This link will open the download page of DAP so you can save a copy to your computer.)

Hi.

I don't have this machine, and I'm not sure if this machine is too new. It does not list driver on the support web site yet:
https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/us/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/yoga-series/yoga-c630-13q50/downloa...

Check also "Lenovo Vantage" just in case there is any software update.

I also used to have this problems with a TP Yoga 14, but it was that it has a "rotatation lock" button on the side, but your does not seems to came with that button.

Hello, since a year or so I have a Lenovo X1 yoga running on 64-bit Windows 10. So far without any problems. Yesterday late in the evening I updated my computer via Lenovo Vantage. Today, several hours later, during a meeting I wanted to take a note with OneNote and the pen. Because I like to use the Lenovo in this scenario like a booklet I used the short cut Ctrl+Alt+Left arrow to switch the orientation. This time the screen didn't respond. Also turning the Lenovo in such a way that the Auto Rotation feature will do its job didn't work. So I looked into the display settings, etc. and saw that the Auto Rotation feature were disabled. Two hours later searching the internet and trying all the steps in article https://windowsreport.com/rotation-lock-grayed-windows-10/#9 (except the last one, namely resetting the system) my Lenovo still wasn't running smoothly ... At the end you'll find some some screen shots regarding the update status. Help would be much appreciated. Regards, Gerhard

A:Lenovo X1 Yoga: Auto Rotation lock is grayed out

I have the same problem with my X1 Yoga 3rd Gen. Additionally, https://forums.lenovo.com/t5/ThinkPad-Tablets/Rotation-Lock-is-greyed-out-in-X1-Tablet-Gen3/m-p/4175... seems to describe the same problem as mine, but on X1 Tablet 3rd Gen. Most of the time when it wakes up from sleep, it's stuck in either tablet or laptop hardware mode:- either the keyboard and the trackpoint/touchpad don't respond,- or the touchpad stays enabled even when the laptop is flipped into tablet form. When this happens, Windows does not switch to/from tablet mode automatically when the laptop is flipped.- If it's stuck in laptop hardware mode, "rotation lock" is grayed out;- if in tablet hardware mode, it is not grayed out.In both cases, it does not rotate automatically, but rotation can be changed manually in display settings.Rebooting or hibernating and turning the laptop on again makes everything work. I have tried the SensorInfo application. When the laptop is stuck in one mode, either of the following happens:- The "SimpleOrientationSensor" shows "Faceup" when the laptop is flipped into tablet form, and "Rotated 270" when the screen is rotated clockwise into portrait orientation. Windows still does not rotate the display - the same behavior as in laptop hardware mode.- All the sensor tabs return no data or zeroes. Windows also does not rotate the display. All the updates available from Windows Update and Lenovo Vantage are installed.

I'm not sure this issue will get to who it needs to, but I have found a couple of issues with the Yoga C630 WOS Firmware version 1.33. First is that it no longer boots off of USB keys that are larger than 32GB without a little... help...  If you put 2 USB keys that are larger than 32GB in (so 1 in each USB port), then the one on the left side (sim card, power led) will show up as "UEFI: USB Hard Drive", whereas the one on the right (headphone jack, power button) will show up as "UEFI: USB USB Hard Drive" and it will boot from the device in the left port.If only 1 USB key larger than 32GB is plugged in, it shows up as "UEFI: USB USB Hard Drive" and will not boot from it, even when selecting it with the boot prompt.  It simply boots into Windows.  Booting from a 128GB or even 256GB USB key was possible without the hoops of connecting multiple devices on the 1.23 firmware, so it would be nice if whatever change was made that makes this not work, could be reverted? The second (possible) issue is that virtualization support isn't turned on.  This is unfortunate as it means that WSL2 (Windows Subsystem for Linux version2) is not supported on the Lenovo Yoga C630 WOS device, whereas the Samsung Galaxybook2 which has a firmware dated the same DOES have the support turned on, and WSL2 works on it.  It would be nice if the developers behind the firmware could enable the support.  I'm not sure if this is the correct forum, or how to get these... A:do you have to use Sim card in Lenovo yoga c630 to use the device?

No. You don't need to have a SIM card for the Lenovo Yoga c630 to be able to use it. The SIM card slot is used on the laptop if you want to have a cellular data connection to be able to access the internet if there isn't a Wi-Fi connection available. You will need to have a data plan on the SIM card that you are going to use. Cheers

The X1 Yoga 2 has an issue where locking rotation in tablet/tent mode while the screen is rotated to an orientation that is not the same as laptop/landscape mode does not auto-reset to the correct orientation when returned to laptop mode. It also disables the rotation lock toggle in the Win10 action center so that the user cannot just rotate to the correct orientation.  Flip from laptop to tent or tablet mode, then change the orientation to any mode that isn't the same as the way it is in laptop mode (say Portrait), and "Lock Rotation". Then, revert to laptop mode. The orientation will be stuck in the tablet orientation, but since it's locked in laptop mode, won't let you revert it. You have to flip it back to tablet/tent, unlock "Lock Rotation", and flip back into laptop mode for it to appear correctly.  I noticed this a while back. I do this a lot as I'll be configuring something like a router or switch in laptop mode, then flip to a tablet and walk around in tablet/portrait mode monitoring the network (or chasing wireless dead spots with a wifi signal app). When I need to go back to laptop mode (to use the physical keyboard for configuration in an SSH session), I have to remember to get the orientation right (or unlock "Lock Rotation") before I flip back or it'll get stuck. Fujitsu T-series laptops have a little app that allows you to set which is the preferred for each mode in the control panel, which then sets that for you when you change from la... After one week with my new Lenovo Yoga 3 14 my keyboard stopped working. Sometimes, if i press a button hard enough or if I hold the laptop in a certain position, the keyboard works for a second. A few days ago the auto rotation in tablet mode stopped working on my Yoga 460. The auto rotation lock button had vanished from the action centre and once I got the button back still nothing happened when the rotation lock was disabled. After some searching I found the solution to the issue which was actually 2 separate issues. In the registry find HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\AutoRotationAnd set sensorPresent to 1Also in the registry find HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\POLICIES\Microsoft\Windows\locationAndSensorsand set DisableSensors to 0The auto rotate worked when I got my laptop and I have no idea why these settings got changed but it all seems to be working now. Hopefully this helps somebody and I don't think these issues are limited to the yoga, others seem to be having similar issues with spectre and surface devices.

Hi guys, just wondered if anyone else is having the same problem and found a solution for me to attempt: After upgrading to Windows 10, the Yoga 11 isn't rotating properly. I've unlocked rotation via the manual button, and by going into tablet mode and changing the settings. Nada. It's stuck on the laptop orientation. (This inability to switch orientation defeats the whole functionality of a Yoga hybrid.) I've restarted once, and the autoration seemed to work fine after that, whether in tablet mode or tent mode or laptop mode...for a while. Now it's jinxed again. I didn't encounter this problem prior to the upgrade. Is there a more permanent way to fix the glitch than restarting ad infinitum? Suggestions welcome. Thanks!

Hello, I recently bought the Lenovo Yoga 510-IKB, and when I would flip the screen, it would automatically rotate the screen. After a bunch of windows 10 updates, this function was gone. I checked regedit, and the SensorPresent was set to 0. And I can't set rotate lock anymore, anywere.  I set SensorPresent to 1 manually, but that didn't change anything either. Only yesterday I got an update from Lenovo for the bios, and I am now running V.2SCN26WW. In lenovo companion I cannot find the flip option anymore. Since they used to be in Lenovo Settings. But that app is gone now. In device manager I deleted the HID-sensorcollection v2 so that it could reinstall itself, but it didn't change anything either. Not sure what I am supposed to do now besides returning the laptop to the store.

This is more of a record keeping rather than asking a question... I had this issue earlier today where my Yoga 920's auto-rotating function failed. (1) Symptoms:When I physically flip the machine, the display orientation does not change. Also, when the screen is folded back (360 degrees on the hinge) the keyboard and trackpad are still functioning, which they shouldn't be. In Display Settings, the Rotation Lock option under Display Orientation was completely missing, as well as the same option in the Notification Area (win+A). (2) Debugging:First and most obvious, I tried restarting the computer, but this didn't fix the problem. I looked up previous forum topics and tried some methods, like disabling/restarting the YMC service and such but with no success. At this point, I figured that this is probably a sensor issue because the computer is not detecting that I have flipped the screen, and have prepared for the worst, which was that the sensor might have been physically damaged.  Since I was 90% sure that this is a sensor problem, I opened the device manager and to no surprise saw that there was an exclamation mark on HID Sensor Collection V2 under Sensors. (3) Trying to fix itI tried updating the drivers in the Device's Properties. This didn't fix it, because Microsoft tells me the best driver is installed ("Yeah, whatever").  Now here's what worked for me: I then disabled HID Sensor Collection V2 (right click on it - Disable devi... I'd like to report a bug with the Rotation Sensor, which I believe is handled by HID Sensor Collection V2 The rotation sensor will not detect auto-rotation after a total shutdown. Hoping someone may have found a solution that I can't-  I have a number of Yoga 11e models, approx half of which work perfectly.  The other half will not recognize that you are tenting or converting the screen to tablet mode and in the rare instance that they do, the screen is off by 90 degrees. This behavior is duplicated when booting from an Ubuntu drive so this isn't a Windows issue. All units updated to current bios, installed all available drivers, etc- no change.   My assumption is that there is a firmware update for a sensor that may fix the issue but given the number of units I have with the same problem, I can't understand how this doesn't seem to be a widespread issue online.  I have found one or two posts that reference the issue but none with a solution.   Thanks for any help.

I've been looking at the Lenovo C630 13" laptop with the Snapdragon processor. Want to run Linux on it. But thats a different topic. The 8GB/256GB model seems the best deal, but I have NEVER seen in stock since I started tracking it almost a month ago. Is it typical of Lenovo to have a laptop model be continuously out of stock for an extended period of time, or does it indicate that Lenovo has discountinued the model or is working on a replacement? Since I've been studying this, there's only one configuration that is consistently available. The 8GB/128GB model is usually available on the website and is also available at most Best Buy locations. The 4GB/128GB is sometimes available on the website. But the 8GB/256GB has never appears available. Not sure why they bother to list it if its not available.

I had some strange battery behaviors with my YOGA C630 WOS. It feels more like a sotware/firmware issue, but I am not certain.  The basic premise is that the notebook stops charging at around 79-80%. If I monitor the charging current, it charges at about 10-15W in the beginning, then begins to slow down and gradually drops to 2-3W and then stops when reaching 79-80%. In essence it behaves as if the battery would be fully charged at that point, even though it is not.  I tried draining the battery and charging from empty, but it gives the same results.  Also, while plugged in at 80%, if I remove and reconnect the charger, sometimes it will charge for a little bit again, before stopping again. Rarely I have also seen it start charging for a brief period. So sometimes it went up to 86%.  I did get to fully charge it maybe once or twice.  Battery wear is currently reported at 5%, althoug it did change during the lifetime of the product. Actually it jumped around a lot in the beginning (6%-14%-8%-19%) before settling on 5%. Now it has been at 5%. (I started using the device in April, so it is not very old).  The battery lasts for a really long time, so this has rarely been a problem for me, but would still be nice to have a solution to it. It almost feels like as if it had a charge limit set, but there are no options or ways I know of where you can set a charge limit in a non-thinkpad Lenovo. Since there are no drivers to ... I kept it on, only closed because I didn't like turning it back on. Everything was going well up until today. My laptop started working slowly and nothing was really loading properly. I shut it down by holding down the power button and restarting it that way. It went to a black screen then it had the Lenovo logo on it and then it said Preparing Automatic Repair. I repeated the process a few times before just leaving my laptop off for a while. I just now turned it back on and it went to the repair screen and now its on the Diagnosing your PC screen. Hello, I was hoping that someone could shed some light on this subject. When I first bought this computer the only issues that I had were that the Windows 10 settings as well as the control panel settings were not indexed properly, and would not show up when I searched for them. After performing a recovery multiple times without any luck using the built in recovery option I decided to use the Windows 10 recovery media creation tool and reinstalled Windows 10 that way. This fixed the settings indexing problem, but now I have another problem. I can't seem to get the auto-rotate feature to work at all. I have installed the drivers for my particular model of laptop through the Lenovo Support page but my screen still won't rotate when I change orientations. Any information/suggestions would be a big help. Thanks!

A:Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga 14 auto-rotate problem

Hi, welcome to the forums.

I was not able yet to be sure which is the driver that manages the autorotation on Windows 10 for this TPY 14. But I think it can be good for you to install the latest driver available for it and some Lenovo tools that are utilities to manage the computer.

Here are my general tips.

1) Try first Windows Update and update all the drivers and Patches
2) Try Lenovo System Update to get any new/missing drivers.
3) Try to install Lenovo Settings and Lenovo Companion from the Windows App Store, Lenovo Companion also has a "update driver search"
4) Sometimes all that software does not recognize some updated / missing driver. Check Lenovo's Support Site and search for your specific model drivers (use the full model number of your Thinkpad).

Hello!I've bought used Lenovo Yoga 2 13 few days ago. It had installed Windows 10 Home on it but since I didn't wanted to have any files from previous owner I've wiped entire drive and reinstalled it. Windows have taken care of all the drivers so I haven't any problems here, but I've never get to work any tablet capabilities of this laptop. To be accurate the keyboard locks out when laptop is in full tablet mode but you'll bend it just few degrees and you have turned on keyboard and touchpad again. Rotation doesn't work at all so I can forget about any modes between laptop mode and tablet mode. I've installed all the drivers, I've installed Yoga Mode Control but... it simply doesn't work at all. I have all the files, I have a YMC service that is "officially" working in the background but it doesn't do anything and turning it on and off makes no difference. I even installed Lenovo Vantage but that didn't help too. So after a week I've decided to downgrade this machine to Windows 8.1 since this laptop was made specifically for this system and there was also that Lenovo Transition software. And I did it. Now I have Windows 8.1. I've downloaded all the drivers and also the Lenovo Transition. But guess what... it doesn't work at all too. I've checked old version, then 2.0 version, then YMC again and all of them does not work at all. YMC actually "works" the same way as Windows 10 version. I have no idea what that could be. RELEVANCY SCORE 60.8

I own a yoga 710-14iKB.Till a while ago, I was able to rotate my screen whether the tablet mode is on or off.But now I can't rotate the screen in neither mode.I tried switching to tablet mode but the rotation lock option would stay greyed out. I also tried to turn off rotation lock in settings > display > rotation lockbut the option is greyed out as well. this problem bothers me alot as I need to rotate my screen as I use the laptop in different modes and positions.
