Adobe Connect doesn't connect

Q: Adobe Connect doesn't connect

I have an Adobe Connect meeting scheduled for tomorrow, and when I click on the link to test my connection to Adobe Connect, which I just installed, I get this message- what can I do? I am connected to the Internet, so Firefox
does have permission to access the Web.
I attempted to connect using this link, in an email, and got the message below:
If you have never attended an Adobe Connect meeting before:

Test your connection:

"Hmm. We?re having trouble finding that site.

We can?t connect to the server at meet94924985.adobeconnect.com.
If that address is correct, here are three other things you can try:

Try again later.
Check your network connection.
If you are connected but behind a firewall, check that Firefox has permission to access the Web."

Preferred Solution: Adobe Connect doesn't connect

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Hi,My brand new Yoga 720-15 IKB doesn't connect to my workplace wifi network which is a Mikrotik network. It does though connect to my home network or a mobile hotspot and works fine with them. I have installed all Windows 10 updates and Lenovo Companion updates. I have manually updated wifi card driver, I have also tried deleting network card and installing it again - but no success. Still doesn't connect to this one particular network in my workplace. To make it stranger my coworker has the same brand new Yoga 720, the only difference is that mine Yoga is grey and his is platinium color. We discovered also that two, supposedly the same computers  have different network cards (he has Intel, I have Qualcomm Atheros QCA61x4A. This is a bit weird).I have also found out his Yoga connects easily to VPN at our workplace, my doesn't.Any ideas how to solve it? EDIT: my current network card driver is

It maybe a security suite blocking - do you have Norton , McAfee etc

One thing i notice is that her icon for the connect shows one less bar than mine shows. I should be the same. they are both HP machines and sit in the same spot.

How far away from your computers is the router? Also; have you tried to power cycle the modem and router? If not; i would try that. Unplug both the modem and router; wait about a minute; then plug in the modem first; let that boot; then plug the router back in and let that boot. Try doing that and see if it helps the situation.

Any ideas why I can't connect to www.adobe.com? I get an error message saying "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage". Same problem when I try using Firefox. Also happens if a do a Google search on Adobe.com and try to connect to the Adobe site via the link.

I am using a HP laptop operating on Windows XP.

Probably related to this problem: When I try to download a pdf file from an internet link, I get an error message refering to the file adobepdf.dll. I downloaded the file and installed it, but the problem persists.

Really frustrating, since I use pdfs a lot!!

I do not have the skill set to follow along with some of the threads on this subject at this site to rid this laptop off these HP Connect cloud things that I've read rope users into their basic service then end up charging people for the service.
This laptop is an HP Envy and it has a 1T HD. There is no need for cloud storage and besides which, my friend who now owns this laptop really can't afford to pay for those types of services anyway.
Supposedly I should be able to go to that start screen and right click on the associated icon to uninstall them from there. Didn't work. I was sent to add/remove programs and they're not listed there to uninstall.
I installed something called ZSoft uninstaller that was free hoping maybe they'd show up as programs there so I could uninstall them. They didn't appear as programs there either. I think I found them but don't quite know what to do with them. They're here- This PC> App Data> Roaming> Microsoft> Windows> Start Menu> Programs.
Would someone be in a position to talk me through getting rid of them for my friend? Please go easy on me, I'm not much more computer literate than my friend and don't know what most acronyms the members use here stand for other than the most obvious such as HP for Hewlett-Packard, OS for operating system, and PC for personal computer.

A:HP Connect Drive, Connect Music, Connect Photo- want them gone

It's possible these are Metro Apps. You can uninstall them using this guide. If  you do not see the app on the Metro UI page then search for it.

All software is up to date: Adobe Connect, Flash, Webcam software IE.

I bought a new camera, (Logitech 170), installed it and disabled the laptops internal camera. Rebooted several times.
The problem is precisely the same with each camera.
Perhaps it is an add-on in IE?

A:Adobe Connect camera freezing

We see this freezing camera issue too. We believe it is related to the other Windows 8.1 issues with Adobe Connect. Here's a forum thread discussing Windows 8.1 issues; http://www.connectusers.com/forums/topic/10006/recording-issues-with-connect-922-and-windows-81/ Adobe has suggested the Windows 8.1 issues would be fixed in 9.3 and 9.4 but they weren't. I not able to watch recorded lectures on Adobe Connect. Other people are able to do so, however.

I have tried everything on Adobe's website to solve this issue. I have also tried uninstalling the applications and re-installing them. I reset the laptop this morning, but to no avail. This is a new computer, which got delivered 3 days ago.

My exams will be over by Dec 11. I have 44 days to watch the lectures, study and appear for assignments. I had taken two days' leave from work to catch up on my studies. Those days have been wasted trying to open a single lecture.

I would be very grateful, if someone could help me in sorting this out.

Currently I have my main desktop PC, an HTPC hooked up the the tv in the living room, and I just finished building an unRaid server (a linux based server platform) to store all of my media files.

My HTPC (running windows 7 home premium) sees everything fine. It can connect to the server as well as my desktop PC. The same is true with my laptop (macbook pro) and my girlfriend's iMac

My desktop, however, doesn't want to play nice with the network. It sees my HTPC, but when I try to connect to it I get a "Windows Security" prompt that, despite entering the password to my HTPC, won't allow me to connect to it (says "Login failure: unknown user name or bad password" )

My desktop doesn't even see the server. It did briefly last night, but whenever I tried to open it I got an error code of 0x80070035 "Check the spelling of the name. Otherwise, there might be a problem with your network." I was getting the same error message this morning when trying to connect to the HTPC, but then I did something (I don't really know what to be honest), and now I'm getting the windows security prompt.

Everything is connected to the same workgroup. I've disable firewall and AV on the two windows machines. Networking stuff is really not my forte, and I don't even know where to go from here.

Hi everyone,

I have a strange problem that I've been struggling with for along time. The wireless connection can't be established easily, I have to restart the system in order to connect, especially, when I wake my laptop from hibernation or standby. I updated the wireless adapter driver, I also changed the channel in which my laptop connects to. I read some articles that state the problem but after following almost all of them, I couldn't pull off anything. It takes many attempts to connect to my university wireless router. I would emphasize on the wake-up. I have 2 other laptops and they connect in a speed of light. Could anyone help me walk through this problem.

All of the laptops have Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 2200/BG Network connection and the same latest driver.

The thing is i had this problem before , and i solved it, but i can't remember exactly how :S .
I know i searched like 1000 pages , so i don't remeber where the solution is. I just know i have to deactivate in Command Prompt something related to the IP adress.
Maybe you guys know , because i really can't remember , and if i try to search again for it it will take me forever.

I recently installed Vista Ultimate on my computer, and I am having a problem with connecting to the internet via my wireless router.

I have an unbroadcasted password-protected wireless connection.

I went into the connection thing, did all the stuff I normally do (enter router name and password), yet it won't connect. It just says "Router already exists [name of router]" and I choose "join network" (or whatever it said), it brings me to the list of networks in the area, and mine isn't listed.

So what do I do? I never had these problems with XP.

Not familiar with this! Where did you need to enter the router name and password?
On the many installations I have done, Vista usually finds the router automatically. I do not have a password in the router itself, only WEP encryption

I have a HP desktop computer that is connect via ethernet cable to a linksys wireless router. The router is connected to a Comcast cable modem.

The HP has Windows 7 (64 bit) loaded on it and I have problems getting connected up to web sites the first time I use the computer after start up or just log on. Tonight I tried getting to a site and was given an IE 8 cannot find xxxxxx message. Switched to try Google, same result. Tried several more times, same result.

Went to DOS prompt and pinged Google ... it hesitated initially, then returned the reply with no errors .... I was then able to go to google with my browser.

Just tried the ping again (1/2 hour after first problem) and it timed out. Tried the ping again then jumped to the browser window and brought up Google ... only after that did the ping start returning the results.

It almost appears that the first try at a site will fail about 90% of the time.

Via the linksys wireless, I have 3 laptops, an iphone and an Android that have never had a single issue connecting to the internet. The Laptops are running XP, Vista (32 bit) and Win 7 (64 bit).

After it connects to a site the session is without an issue. Trying a new site will usually cause a problem even from within the same browser.

Any thoughts on settings that are getting in the way?

A:Win 7 doesn't connect to Internet first try

Usually when this happens either the router or drivers aren't up to date so do not function properly with Windows 7. You should first try to update the routers firmware.

My problem is that whenever I switch my pc on I have to physically enable the WZC program and then select windows to manage my wireless network settings. Once I enable it this way it is fine, but then if I restart or shut down my pc then I have to do all the process again...which is rather annoying!

I have a BT Home Hub 2.0 and Cisco WUSB600N dual band wireless adapter.

I understand you have to choose one program to manage the wireless network settings as they conflict, but on the Network Magic program that comes with the Cisco adapter, I cannot find an option on there to disable it.

There is another pc using the hub with an exact same adapter aswell and when that is switched on the broadband connection automatically loads on that. So I am a bit stuck, I've trawled the internet for answers but have come to a dead end.

Any help would be gratefully appreciated. Thanks

Hi! This is my first post and sorry but it's going to be a long one.
I have a Lenovo z575. I've had it about 5 years, bought it new, hasn't been used for 3+ years. Windows 7 64 bit. In spite of my best efforts, it does not connect to WiFi. So...
It works fine with Ethernet.
Uninstalled all antivirus. Shut off firewall.
Yes, the switch is on.
I've replaced the wifi card so it isn't a hardware issue.
I've tried just about everything and searched for answers everywhere without results.
I've tried numerous commands in Command Prompt. Tried to reset the IP address. Command Prompt says " No operation can be performed on Local Area Connection while it has been disconnected".
Been through Device Manager. Uninstalled and reinstalled. Searched for updated drivers. It tells me it has the correct drivers.
Checked BIOS.
The drivers have been updated on the Lenovo page.

Windows Diagnostic says "There might be a problem with the driver for the Wireless Network Connection 11adapter".

I ran a test on the wifi card through Intel. Results said drivers are ok, radio is off. I've come to the conclusion that this is the problem.I could be wrong. I've searched for a solution to this and come up empty handed. Have no idea how to turn the radio on.
The reason I think this is the problem is that it shows that the wifi within the machine is connected. It just isn't making it outside.

I tried installing, rebooting and reconnecting the adapter, but the same happens, it tries to install drivers for it, fails, and the program keeps saying there's no wireless adapter connected. I'd try connecting to windows update to get the drivers but well, that adapter IS my internet access :P

I have both this and this. Basically the same thing happens with both. Also, if I reboot with them connected, it takes ages to shut down and restart. Everything else works great though, I'm really enjoying this OS. Hope you can help me!

PS: I did try downloading the drivers from the update catalog but no luck there, maybe there's something else I need to try.

I downloaded wmp 11 to replace 10 because I thought perhaps it would be better than wmp 10, and imo it's actually worse. 1) there's no way to keep it from contacting M$ for updates, the minimum is once a month. *&^%$$^&*. 2) every time I open a file, WMP 11 tries to contact the internet through my firewall. &^%$^&**, and I have to deny it. Is there any way to keep it from trying to make a net connection when I simply open a file? I'm just about ready to dump wmp altogether and just use mpc or the vlc player. 3) the interface just flat sucks, imo. Is there any advantage of using wmp 11 over 10?

Hello. I have two computers, and only one of them connects to the internet. I use internet explorer on both. It used to work fine on both, but then it stopped for no apparent reason. I just got a new modem from the ISP, for unrelated reasons. But it still is not working. I have no idea why. Any ideas? Thanks!

A:Second Computer Doesn't Connect To Internet

Hey skb2. Are these computers wired or wireless? Do you get an error message that it is not connected to the internet, or does internet explorer just say something about unable to display the web page?

First thing I would recomend you do is try and disable any firewalls that you have on the one computer that is not working to see if that fixes it.

I usaully have my modem connected to the internet 24/7 (it's an older 33.3k external modem). When I got back from a friends house, I had some problems with it.

I tried to dialup to the internet. Here is what happened:
Modem *appears* to find a dialtone (I don't think so because I don't hear it)
Modem Dials.
Nothing. Tells me that their is a problem on my ISP's end.

I tried it on two computers. Same thing on both ones.

Tried using my 56k USR. Dialed up fine to the same numbers.

I opened the modem up, there doesn't appear to be any black spots or blown capacitors. However, if the modem does overheat, it won't connect, but the modem has been cool for some time. I don't know what has happening when this happened, (it was connected before I left, disconnected when I got back).

I belive the modem might be dead, which irritates me greatly, because it worked awesome.

Hey all.

This problem has been bugging me for months now, only now I've decided to seek help!

When I first start my computer up every morning, my Laptop will automatically connect to my router, everything is fine. The problem I'm having is when I log my computer off, or put the computer into sleep mode. After logging back on to my laptop it won't connect back to the router. I always get the orange star sign over the signal bars. If I try to re-connect by clicking on the signal bars in the bottom right hand side of the screen it won't connect.

This is what I have to do:

I disable and enable the connection below, I then have to wait 1 minute until the computer recognizes the router and re-connects.

I honestly don't know why this is happening, the only thing I can think is because I updated the Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter.

If anyone could help out I'd really appreciate it.
Thanks in advance.

A:Internet doesn't automatically re-connect after Log Off?

Right click on Wireless Network Connection (as in above image) Go to Properties.

Click Configure.
A new Window will appear in front of you. Click the tab named Power Management.
UnCheck the box named Allow the Computer to turn off this device to save power.

I have a Dell desktop PC running Vista Home Premium with Service Pack

With a fresh boot boot, everything works and I can access my network (through a LAN cable that runs to a wired/wireless router).

When I have been away from the computer for a while I sometimes log in and find the network icon X'd and I have no access to my home network or Internet. I get "cable unplugged" when I run a diagnostic even though the cables are still in. All the cable connections are sound. Rebooting restores network and Internet access.

Sometimes I CAN log back on from screensaver mode without the problem -- other times I can't... and it seems that the longer I am away, the more likely the problem.

- could the "advanced power options" have something to do with it (currently on factory recommended with a 15min sleep)?

Any other ideas??

Even though it appears you're having the same problem, please start a new thread when you have a new issue. It's very difficult to keep two problems straight and who's working on what in a single thread.

I've created a new thread for your issue here.

Note: You will need to post complete details of your configuration and your specific issue in this new thread for us to help you.

Thanks for your cooperation.
