Q: email recipients see POP3 host email address extension not my domain

Hello,
I've managed to setup email forwarding for my wife's new marketing business so I get emails coming to the POP3 email account [email protected] from the email address [email protected] and also [email protected]

However, when I send an email it appears (in someone else's inbox) to come from
Joanna Rigby <[email protected]> when I would like to appear to come from
Joanna Rigby <[email protected]>

I want them to see her domain name @madeyousmile.co.uk NOT the pophost.123-reg info.

Any suggestions on how I do this please? I'm running Microsoft Outlook Office 2007.

kind regards,
Jonathan

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

For almost 2 months, people with GoDaddy hosted e-mail accounts are not getting a lot of e-mail sent to them from sbcglobal.net and bellsouth.net domains. Apparently, there is either an issue at Yahoo, who manages e-mail for those domains, or at GoDaddy. You can read a long thread about this issue at community.godaddy.com/groups/email/forum/topic/452-too-many-recipients-received-this-hour.

It may be that GoDaddy is doing some sort of over filtration of Yahoo sourced e-mail in the name of blocking spam. The problem is many GoDaddy users are not getting legitimate e-mails because of this problem.

If you or your clients get their e-mail via GoDaddy, you may want to send some test e-mails from the known problem domains, if you can, to make sure you are not experiencing this problem.

When I got BellSouth DSL years ago I had Outlook email account set up with BellSouth as outgoing and old domain as incoming so I could keep my email address from another domain. It worked fine until a year or so ago I had to add another account just for BellSouth and that worked fine.

Within last few weeks emails from my email address (old domain) would not send. I've been through it with ATT tech several times to no avail.

It seems that ATT has trapped me out and does not want me to be able to keep my old email.

There's bound to be a way to set up my email accounts so my outgoing email from my other ISP provider will send through BellSouth without changing my very old and reliable email address.

Also, I recently have acquired my own domain name and I fear emails from that email address will suffer the same fate.

I hope this is not too long, but PLEASE HELP if you can.

A:Can't send email using different domain in email address BellSouth trapped me out...

If your BellSouth e-mail service is provided by Yahoo, then you probably need to go through a registration and authentication process for each e-mail address you want to send through a non BellSouth/Yahoo mail server. At least that is what I had to go through as an SBC/ATT DSL customer. They claim that they do the blocking to prevent from originating from users within their network.

Howdy,

Have own domain pop3 type email, but the webmail on host is useless.

Can you use Yahoo Mail with your own domain/email addresses managed through Yahoo interface? Similar to Google Apps I guess...

Doubt it.

But AIM mail lets you pick your own email domain name, if not in use.

Hi, I'm trying to work out if I've got a nasty virus that could be removing To recipients from sent emails. Basically I've sent a few emails that I know I've sent to people, as they're confirmed in the sent mail folder. But it is only turning up to less of the recipients with no name on the To email list....it's as if they've disappeared on route. With hindsight I think this is happening a lot but I've only just noticed around a specific issue. Could this be a virus, I'm running mcafee and it seems ok. I'm being held to task on an important email chain, I don't have the sent item email as it's from a long time ago but I know I sent it to one of them, could a virus have done this? Really could do with some guidance on this!

A:Email To box recipients being removed between sent items and target address

While I cannot say that is not a virus/malware (I suppose anything is possible), it is not something that I have ever heard of happening before. What are you using for your email purposes? An email client such as Outlook? Or a webmail interface?Does that same thing happen if you copy yourself by way of BCC (i.e. do all the sent to addresses show up in your BCC'd copy or not)?

On my parents Dell Inspiron 7500, I attempted to transfer the large group of email recipients (of which they were one) to their address book but had a time trying to get that 'mass of names' to tranfer. So decided to first set up a folder to move the email to and attempt from there. Well, geez, everything is messed up. The email has disappeared from the email list, and the folder now has a list of gibberish --lotsa little squares. I played around with options, still not knowing what I was doing, and at one time the names and addresses appeared but still surrounded by strange code. At this point, I would be happy if I could 1. return the info to the email state and return the email so my parents could at least access the addresses singularly from it, or 2. get rid of the gibberish and have the document in the folder speak real English to me.
Quicksand. Is there an easy way out of the mess I've made? Any direction much appreciated. I was only trying to establish a group-contact list for my parents for their genealogical society. Thanks. Pat

How many do you find? Don't know if you already know this but those are your Windows Address Book(s). One should be your original with their email addresses in it unless you replaced it.

Hi,

Just a few hours ago WinPartorl alerted me that something was trying to change my HOST file, but i declined the permission. Shortly after I was booted from my gmail account when I was reading my emails. It said that someone logged in from a different location.

Also, this past week my fan had been acting really weird, started to make a lot of sounds, like the fan speed tripled or something. I had scanned my computer with SpyBot and AVG scanners and everything came up clean.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thank you,
Julie

Hiya!

So, my office is looking to send out a holiday card email to our clients. Our previous method of doing this was both incredibly slow, and, I believe, made impossible due to changes made via their email provider (I wasn't employed here last holiday season). We have an Excel spreadsheet with the email address of everyone we need to send to- over 5,000 addresses long.

Is there a way I can, in bulk, send out an email without having the account flagged as spamming? Even if not to 5,000 at once, but upper hundreds? Plus, other methods I've looked into doing this would entail copy and pasting one email address at a time, which, for obvious reasons, is not optimal.

Thanks!

Ok, so I was thinking about this, but I couldn't find an answer on the internet..
Basically, when I send an email to someone as BCC, it looks like this:

There is no 'to' so I feel this is quite impersonal to the person receiving the mail.
But sometimes I receive emails that are addressed to me, but I know the email has several other recipients as well..

So the question is: is it possible to send a BCC email so that it looks like a normal personal email? For example, I send an email as [me] to [x, y, z] recipients.. it shows up as from [me] to [x] (respectively [y], [z] to every other recipient).

I have had to reinstall pc due to it going at a crawl!!

After installing Outlook 2002, I can not get Outlook to auto fill the email address field when I start to type an email address in it.

The address book is there and in tacked after copying the outlook.pst file back to its original location after install.

How do I get Outlook to autofill?

Also when I click the 'TO' button in the new email window, it says that there is no address book!
but when I click the address book icon in the main Outlook window there are email address there?!

Any ideas how I can get this to work correctly again.

A:reinstalled pc, now create email in Outlook 2002 does not auto fill email address like before

When you did the re-install, did you erase/format the hard drive before the re-install? If you did and did not save the Outlook auto fill file, then the all the auto fills you had are gone. Did you import the pst file into outlook?

Hello.
I've just found a pst file with all my old email. I'd like to put them back on the server (hotmail) but before doing that I've seen that some of them were not recived (or sent) to my actual address (@hotmail.com) but to an old one (@infinito.it). So I was thinking to export them from outlook 2013 to CSV, modify that address into the new one and then import them back on outlook 2013. The problem is that when I export them to CSV, in that file they don't have the date (received or sent) and so when I get them back on outlook 2013 they miss that info.
Can anyone help me doing this? I've been told that VBA macro should be useful for this, but having a look in it I have no idea of what I sould do.
Ah, instead of outlook 2013 I can also use thunderbird (45.3.0) if it's easier with it, but then I'd have to convert that pst file.
Thanks!

I have a word document that includes a form the user must fill in. I want to create a button that will do all of the following:
1. Update all fields
2. Attach the updated word document to an email
3. Enter an address I have stored in the macro into the To field of the email.

I have one module which does the first part:

End If

End Sub

I found that if I add this to the before End Sub it attaches the updated Word document to an email:
Application.Options.SendMailAttach = True 'Or False
ActiveDocument.SendMail

However, I can't figure out how have it put a specific address into the To field of the document.

So I tried another tact. I have the email address as a hyperlink in the document, and set a bookmark at the hyperlink. Then I created a module that will go to the bookmark and open the hyperlink. However, this will not add the document as an attachment:

Sub Open_Hyperlink()
Selection.GoTo What:=wdGoToBookmark, Name:="hyperlink"
With ActiveDocument.Bookmarks
.DefaultSorting = wdSortByName
.ShowHidden = False
End With

Hi guys,

'Boopme' had me run MiniToolBox and he wrote that he found "errors and other issues" and he bumped me to this thread.

Norton now seems to be removed and the restart was successful w/ out a restore.

This is what I wrote in under the from "Am I infected?" thread;

Been having problems with my laptop running Vista Home premium svc pack2.
One day, a month ago, Norton was not updating properly. Upon the next boot-up windows would not start and I was forced to restart in safe mode with a system restore. This was successful but Norton Security Suite was still not updating properly.
Since then, on a few occasions, I have attempted to uninstall Norton without success thru the program uninstaler. Norton is unresponsive. I even got the Norton rep. to do a remote deletion of all registry files of Norton. But they all returned after the reboot of my PC because windows would not open and I had to start-up thru system restore.
Since then my yahoo email been hacked and spam sent to the contacts of my address book.
I know I got something but I don't know what.. Can anyone take a stab at what I might need to do?
Thanks,
Brian

A:Email from AOL not being received by NTLWorld recipients

This sort of thing can happen with copying and pasting operations. I have had it happen when trying to rename files, for example, with names copied from elsewhere, often a source that supported Unicode. Sometimes, just going from HTML to text can cause it if hidden formatting symbols are copied though invisible.

Check the process used to copy addresses , recover them, store them, or put them in the mails themselves to see if there is a step involving something like that. Ultimately, I needed to paste the contents to a location that supported nothing but plain text and then recopy from there to remove any hidden formatting.

Is is risky to send emails with many recipients in the "To:" heading?

Thanks.

Mac

A:Email with long list of recipients in "To:"

It can be, depending on the e-mail. If you need to send an e-mail to a lot of people and don't want all the recipients to see each other's e-mail address, you can use the BCC (blind carbon copy) field instead of the To: field. BCC should be supported by all e-mail programs and webmail services.E-mails can have up to 3 kinds of recipients:To: The main recipients/targets. Every other recipient can see them.CC: Like To, but not for the main recipients. Every other recipient can see them.BCC: Like CC. No other recipient can see them.An e-mail can have zero or more recipients in any of these fields, but at least one recipient in at least one field is needed.

If the sender used the non default address, that is the one that shows up first.

hello:

i have been trying to fix my email/outlook spam issue.  emails are going out WITH my actual email address, sending emails to people in my contacts, etc.
I also have been getting a ton of spam emails myself.

I use:

-Windows 7 Pro
-64 Bit
-Outlook 2010
-I have our own domain name email address, that is hosted by Frontier

Odd thing:  I changed my password for my email, but my outlook kept sending/receiving with the old password.
When I tried to update  the new password in outlook (which I verified by using the webmail versus outlook), it would not accept it.

Thank you for any help you can provide.

In the near future, my partner and I will be living in separate places of abode. Therefore, my partners Email address (which is currently managed by Outlook Express), will cease to exist. I need to arrange something whereby, when she sets up her new email address, the contents of her email folders are able to be transferred to that new email address....I have this thought in the back of my mind that I can do this with Thunderbird....if I install Thunderbird on her PC, now... and then back up the files and folders using the information here......http://email.about.com/od/mozillathunderbirdtips/qt/et_backup_prof.htm........establish a new email address, when that time comes.....and then restore the Thunderbird files/profile etc, from the backup.or.....am I just having a daydream....could it be that simple?Need some input here. I want to be sure I have not missed the bleepin obvious.....I dont want to lose all that she has.

For what it is worth, I backup My Thunderbird and Firefox with MozBackup http://download.cnet.com/MozBackup/3000-2242_4-10260383.htmlAs great as it is to have tools such as Firefox and Thunderbird, backing them up can be a tedious process. MozBackup is a tiny program that makes saving and restoring all your bookmarks, extensions, and other personal settings a streamlined and stress-free experience. The program works with Firefox, Thunderbird, SeaMonkey, and Netscape on Windows platforms. It doesn't work with Firefox Portable, Sunbird, Songbird, or Flock, but for standard Windows iterations of the programs in the Mozilla suite, it's almost silly to not use this program.Close the program you want to back up, then runI used MozBackup recently to move all my Thunderbird email and settings and Firefox favorites etc. from one computer to another. No problems. It seems to me that your plan is sound, Import into Thunderbird, Backup, install Thunderbird on new computer and restore everything.Did I mention you can you can check or uncheck what you want and not backup what you don't want to backup.Hope this helpsRoger

Very frustrated over here. I have windows mail and three different emails that are set up with it. My main one, my work, is set as my default email address. When I compose a new message is pops up as the default, yet when I reply to a message the other two pop up. All of my emails that this has been happening on have been those sent to my default email address Stressed out over here.

I have an att.net email account which is now serviced by Yahoo. Today a spam message originated from my account and was sent to everyone on my contacts list. "xmas" was in the subject line and the content was a web address which opens to a website apparently selling medications from Canada. Webroot antivirus has not detected any virus or malware on my computer. What should I do? Do I need to close the att.net email account?

Sounds like a spammer got your email address and is spoofing the return to or from address using yours instead. It could also be that someone is infected and their computer had you email address. Here's an example of headers shown in real emailReturn-Path: <[email protected]>Received: from inaamta17.mail.tds.net ([216.170.230.187]) by inmta16.mail.tds.net (InterMail vM.7.08.03.00 201-2186-126-20070710) with ESMTP id <[email protected]net> for <[email protected]>; Thu, 26 Feb 2009 07:51:51 -0600Received: from mta705.email.newegg.com ([38.119.56.165]) by inaamta17.mail.tds.net (InterMail vG.3.00.02.00 201-2196-120-20070322) with SMTP id <[email protected]egg.com> for <[email protected]>; Thu, 26 Feb 2009 07:51:51 -0600

I recently changed to comcast cable internet. I can send and receive mail at my earthlink.net email. However, I cannot send to someone at an "rcullen.com" email address. I have NEVER had this problem with this domain.

I went over all settiings with comcast and they are correct.

Does anyone know how to UNBLOCK an email address from not being able to be sent to? Or, is there a setting or workaround so that i can send from comcast to the rcullen.com email address?

Comcast has not told me it is blocked, but I can think of no other reason and I've read that they randomly block TONS of email domains for "spam" purposes.

Anyone else have a solution to this? Thanks!

Can you tell me if "hotmail.co" is a valid email domain for UK Hotmail email accounts? I have a few people on my mailing list with "hotmail.co" in their email addresses. All my mails sent to them were bounced back. I have tried to use "hotmail.com" and "hotmail.co.uk" but got messages that there are no such users. The subscribers are old folk and don't really know much about the computer. Any help is much appreciated.

I recently downloaded stationery with sound to Outlook Express on my Windows XP, but the recipients receive only the message and in place of the picture just a little red x...no sound. I can send the entire message back to myself, but not to anyone else. I scanned the stationery for possible viruses before using it, so I consider it safe. What's wrong and how can I make this stationery acceptable to my friends' computers?

Is there a way to setup addressees or contacts so that messages sent to them will come from different email accounts? I am using Outlook XP (2002)

I have several different email accounts and I would like to be able to specify which email account a message is sent from depending on who the contact is without having to manually go in and change it each time I send a message.

Good Afternoon,

I am in the process of publishing a form to a few email recipients that will use the form within Outlook 2007 (and I am using Infopath 2007). When I get to the section that asks for the columns that I want available to view in the outlook folder, three of the listed columns are apart of a repeating table. The question that I have is why do this columns have first in parenthesis and why do they have additional options (I can modify the function to first, last, merge, count).

Thanks for any help you provide on this matter.

Not sure where to bring this one.

Looking for any information on this topic as I have heard both scenarios are true. I have read both scenarios in a MS group support on Microsoft.com web site but I can't find them anymore (was a while ago)

Exchange 5.5 -

If an email is sent to 2500 users in a distribution list, are there 2500 copies of that email sitting on the server or is it simply a copy that is viewable by all 2500 users? And what if they save it to a folder they created (not in a personal folder directed elsewhere but to a folder they created under the folder list)

Thank you
Lady

Hello
Is there some function or method in javascript or VB that enables me to send different emails to different recipients, based on an html form?
For example: I want to send the user a confirmation note based on his details, as well as some sort of copy for myself, with some different design and details in it, and all of that requires the user to click only once on the "submit" button.

thanx
ekoren

A:email form - send different letters to different recipients

Look up CDONTS and VB. You can do both send a confirmation as well as receive a copy of the registration. I just set one up and it is quite easy. The formatting of the mail message is very limited but it does the job. There are compiled ASP mail components like ASPmail that do pretty much the same thing as CDONTS

I know that this can be done using BCC but there are a number of problems with that approach.
One is the danger of one recipient using "reply all".
Another is the fact that being among "undisclosed recipients" tends to raise suspicions that something underhand is afoot.

Is there a way to send a mail to multiple recipients where it each recipient will see his/her address in the To box but there will be nothing to show that the mail has been sent to others?
