I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

If you purchased the system with an onsite warranty (extra cost), yes - it can be transferred. If you did not, you must upgrade to an onsite warranty at extra cost before it can be transferred.

Hi everyone, Almost a year ago I bought a HP Spectre 360 in the US. Up till now I have been very happy with it, but for pure peace of mind I am trying to extend the warranty in the UK (as I am living here now). HP is telling me that it is not possible. Has someone been in the same situation (i.e. buying in X country and extending warranty in Y country?). Is it possible, if so how did you manage to do it? As a side note, their Support Service Agreement does not state that the computer must have been bought in the country of the warranty extension. Many thanks!
Hi, Thats a difficult situation to begin with. First of. If you are going to call HP Support 1800-474-6836 and you are going to extend your computer's warranty. They will definitely ask you for a credit card number and billing address. Ofcourse if your not within US thats gotta be a problem because they use a tool to process payment which accepts US addresses only. The best thing that you could do if you really insist of getting a warranty is talk to your friends that lives within US and ask them if thy could process the warranty for you and pay them afterwards. Hi, I have a Dell Dimension 4700, built one year ago. Today is the day the warranty will expire, and if I renew later rather than now, it will cost more. I have had no problems with the PC as of yet, and my one support call went well. It used to be my understanding that it's not a good idea to buy the extended warranty on... most any product really. But from some threads I've been reading in various places, I'm thinking maybe with Dell I really ought to. I don't know if what I've read has been skewed by the fact that often it's the unsatisfied that take the time to proclaim that, but what I've read of others' experiences has been scary, and sounds like often one is lucky if they even get appropriate help *with* a warranty still in place.
Strangely (I think), with this model the only type of warranty available, original or extended, is next business day at-home service (with phone support too of course). I don't need that much convenience but I have no choice. So, a one-year extension would be $109, two-year $179. (Don't think I'd be interested in the three-year for $239 at this time, even though I do intend to still have this PC then and beyond.)
Ok so of course I'd rather not pay this but it won't take food off my table or anything. So should I go for it? Thanks so much if I can get some opinions before the end of the biz day (It's about 7 AM CST here now.)

A problem has recently developed with my Envy notebook. About 2 weeks ago my entire wireless network began slowing down when on it. Noticeable on all devices. When my provider came out, checked and tweaked some issues it appeared to be ok. I went on with my daughers HP laptop and was drawing 20-24 mbps all over the house. When I reconnected mine to the system I was only pulling 6, 3, 5, up and down. It doesn't start right away but after a few minutes. So I put my duaghers right next ot mine and low and behold, when I ran her's it pulled 3 - 6 also. So I turned my wi-fi off and hers' popped right back up. I have also tried this with an old XP mini, my i-pads etc. As soon as mine gets on the network the speed crashes. This also happens with no one else home and no other devies conncted. I have downloaded the latest up to date Intel driver for this network adapter and it hasn't changed anything. Any ideas?

My immediate guess is that you might have mixed-mode networking going on. This happens when you have two different PCs networking in two different modes -- one using "G", the other using "N". The wireless router (or access point) can optimize performance for either mode, but not for both. Hi,I have warranty until November 16. Bought my laptop in The Netherlands. I am now in Seoul until December. My computer refuses to boot up. System check and components check showed that there is nothing wrong with them but Windows needs to be reinstalled with a USB. I don't have this and I don't know how. I have bought the product on Aug 2014 with extended 2nd and 3rd year warranty. Recently, the keyboard that is bundled with the computer got faulty. Once the keyboard is connected, it automatically types random keys. I have tried troubleshooting a numerous times but nothing worked. I purchased a refurbished HP Envy M7 n109dx on Amazon and I noticed that eventhough it was supposed to come with a 90 day warranty, it is expired. Is there any way I can get the 90 day warranty. I just received it today in the mail.
You mean it shows as expired on the website? Did you register it with HP? The system builds in a presumed warranty end date based on when the unit shipped to the seller. If it sits on the shelf for a while that date can come and go. The warranty is 90 days from retail delivery so keep all your paperwork and if a warranty claim comes up (let's hope not) you can prove the delivery date.Read other 3 answers

Technically opening the back of the laptop can void the warranty since there are no consumer replaceable parts (CRUs) inside your model. Fortunately most Lenovo Service Centers understand that owners will upgrade the memory and change hard drives so they tend to over look the fact that the laptop has been previously opened. If you use care in opening the laptop and center your activities on just replacing the hard drive I don't think you will have a problem, but keep in mind the Service Center makes that final determination. Also keep in mind if the system ever needs to be sent in the warranty won't cover the new SSD drive. That warranty is provided by the SSD drive's manufacturer.
For your reference I have included a link below to your model's Hardware Maintenance Manual that explain how to remove the exisiting hardware. Please follow any advice or pre-cautions the manual has to offer.
I recently purchased 2 brand new HP Envy X360 15Ts from the HP Website. They were on sale at the beginning of December. I have been experiencing a display issue with one and went on the HP Support site to look for support. After allowing the site to detect my device and serial number the site returns the message:- The product you have selected is retired, and support services for it have not been available from HP for several years. Once a product has reached the end of its support life, all official HP support content (troubleshooting articles, user guides, how-to videos, etc.) for that product is removed from the HP web site. I tried to call for support for the display issue and was told that because the product is brand new it is handled by another team and to call a different number. Each number I call, I am told the same thing and given a new number to call. Can anyone tell me how I can get support for my issue? Why does the warranty state that the device is retired?
