Drivers for Samsung notebook np300v3a

Q: Drivers for Samsung notebook np300v3a

I recently formatted my Samsung notebook np300v3a with windows 7 home premium 64-bit, now I can't find any drivers so I can't connect to wifi or internet with cable and the computer doesn't seem to find them. Does anyone know how to get them from my main computer and then transfer the files via usb to the notebook?

Preferred Solution: Drivers for Samsung notebook np300v3a

I recommend downloading and running DAP. It can help sort out any driver and firmware related issues on your system

It's worked out well for many of us in the past.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloaddap.org. (This link will open the download page of DAP so you can save a copy to your computer.)

A: Drivers for Samsung notebook np300v3a

There's a load of drivers for this notebook on the Samsung support site. Easy enough to download to your computer, transfer them onto a usb stick then install them on your Samsung.

Hi there :)

I just installed Windows 7 on a friend's laptop, she was using Windows XP and wanted to upgrade.
The laptop is a Samsung p500 model, 2-3 years old but definitely still works perfectly fine.
The graphics card is an ATI Radeon 1250 (or approximation - I had the exact model earlier but she's since taken her laptop home.)
On installing Windows 7, all of the drivers that automatically installed worked perfectly fine but the VGA drivers. Windows insists that the best driver I can get for the laptop is a generic video driver or something in not as many words. It basically means that the highest resolution I can get is 1024x768, and the transparency doesn't work. The coverflow features on iTunes doesn't even work and it was fine on XP.
I went to the Samsung website, and they don't supply Windows 7 drivers for this particular laptop, i'm not sure whether it's due to the laptop being pretty old or Windows 7 installing the drivers automatically.
I tried the Windows Vista driver, but the download is a piece of software that checks your driver to see if it is the best one available, and it didn't seem to actually do anything when running.

It's not the biggest issue in the world, and I understand if there is just no Windows 7 driver for this graphics card, its just a pain in the **** to be stuck on a low res.

I can always roll her back to XP, just defeats the point of upgrading (and no, I won't subject her to Vista :p)

Any help is appreciated massively! :D

A:Windows 7 VGA drivers on a Samsung notebook

Here is the ATI driver page and their explanation of why they don't have a Win 7 driver for it, basically the older cards/chips only support DX9 so they have chosen not to update past Vista.> http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownloa...4&lang=English

FYI for future use run the Win 7 upgrade adviser tool first on older hardware to see what is or is not supported on both hardware and software you have installed> http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

My wife has a two-year-old Samsung notebook. Recently when she unplugged it the machine cut off, even though the battery said 79% charged (it wouldn't charge any further). I figured that the battery was bad so I bought another one from Amazon.

This one charges to 100% percent and does exactly the same thing. I'm perplexed but think there's something going on with the motherboard that won't let it use battery juice, even if Windows 8.1 says it's 100% charged.

I've tried the hold the power button down for 1 min with the battery out trick to no avail.

Any ideas? I'm stumped and think I might need to get her another notebook.

Thanks, Robert

I have a windows 7 Samsung recovery media disk and a Samsung notebook model-NP-N110 with windows xp home edition. Obviously my notebook does not have a disk drive and I want to install windows 7 on it using the disk. I am ok with computers but not very technical so if you could explain things and describe what I have to do it would be good

A:Need help installing windows 7 on a Samsung notebook

The simplest, most direct way would be to use an external USB DVD drive. You will need to access the Boot Options in the BIOS to set the computer's boot order to USB as the first choice. Once you do that you can boot from the recovery disk and proceed with the restore.

Have you tried to do a restore from the hdd using what Samsung refers to as "Recovery Solution 4"? From the Samsung website here: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/Su...224&fm_seq=392 (scroll down to the sections describing how to do a restore) It seems that you should press F4 when you first see the Samsung logo to access "Recovery Solution 4".

I recently had to replace a hard drive in a Samsung notebook running Win 7 64 bit, I reinstalled the operating system from the restore disk, but that was all that was on the disk, no drivers at all, I located the Samsung web site www.samsung.com/uk/support/model/NP300E7A-A05UK- driver downloads site, I have downloaded the chipset drivers and vga drivers, but I've no idea if I have done this properly, as up to now the display still looks like it is running in safe mode. Any help would be gratefully accepted.

A:Trouble re-installing win 7 on Samsung notebook

You need to get your display driver from the manufacturer website. Click on start and in the search box type "device manager" scroll through all your devices and see if you have a small yellow exclamation point anywhere. If you do, that is a driver that you need to get. Search for your computers display driver first in order to get your hd graphics. What is the make and model of your computer?

Seems like it started after loading Norton. The touchpad works, but wont let me select anything with the left or right buttons. I have put in a usb mouse and that seems to work. The buttons work when I am in safe mode. What would cause it to not work in normal Win 7? To be specific, the pad seems fine, the buttons do not work in Win 7. Removed Norton and the problem was still there. Obviously some setting I am not aware of when the full operating system loads. Thanks for any help!

A:Touch pad keys not working on Samsung notebook

Does your Notebook have a specific key on the keyboard that enables/disables the touchpad? I know some Dell models have this. (It's kind of like a Caps Lock or Num Lock key that lights up. You may have to use the Function key to get at it).

A:Cannot install windows 7 on Samsung RV509 Notebook

So, you are planning to install Windows 7 but you are getting an error when it restarts...
Make sure if you install windows, that you completely format the drive, So that all the partitions are gone (or at least a clean partition to install windows on.)

Otherwise you could try activating the installation within (asuming) windows xp. and install it that way.

I installed a SAMSUNG 500GB EVO M.2 SSD drive in my HP ENVY Notebook - 17t-n100. It fits in the PCIe slot, but when I power on the laptop, there is nothing in the BIOS about it and Windows doesn't see the drive either. I have read some success stories that depend on updating the BIOS firmware, but I already tried that and it's still not showing. The BIOS options are very sparse. As far as the laptop is concerned, it's as if the drive isn't in there at all.

hey all,(First time here, sorry if I'm asking laptop Qs in tablet section.)So, I'm wondering what laptop( or, a "drawing tablet") should I go with. Both has stylus, but samsung has emr, while lenovo is aes.I've been drawing mostly on pencil + pen, and the only "drawing tablet" i have used was galaxy note 2. I mostly draw & sketch things like cars and buildings, and what I want to see is precise pointing and good tracking. (Slippery screen is actually fine, since I've been drawing with slippery pen for more than 2 years.)I got bad taste for aes after the terrible adonit pixel, as it responsed so bad and the drawing point was in wrong place every time when I repositioned my hand.Thx for anyone helping me to make a choice.Any help ?

I have tried to start it with the Samsung recovery solution 5 But it just goes to a please wait screen and nothing happens.
If I select any form of safe mode, it will load the files and then go to a black screen with some writing along the top - Windows Version Build: 7601 SP1 Safe Mode. And the cursor appears, but nothing else will load.
I have tried restarting dozens of times with every different option. Any ideas?

A:Laptop not booting - Win7 OA - Samsung Notebook

I think my first step would be to check out the hard drive using either diagnostics built into the bios or a bootable CD with something like Seatools for DOS. If the drive is on it's way out all other attempts to boot or repair are ultimately futile and it's time to get started on file recovery.

So I recently bought a Samsung Notebook, Model Code: NP-RV515. It came installed with the 32-bit version of windows starter so naturally I went on to try and install the 62-bit version of Windows Ultimate. Unfortunately, my network drivers were lost and upon trying to install new drivers from the manufacture site a prompt appeared telling me that "The Device may not be present or could have been ejected/unplugged from the system". I know this is impossible because I had wi-fi on the starter version.
Secondly, my monitor resolution, which was at 1366x768 on the starter version now has 1024x768 as its highest option.
Please help.

Hey guys,

I was wondering if Samsung have released drivers for the R60 laptop that are fully functional in Windows 7, when I installed Windows 7 I had to search for all of the drivers myself, I was given a disk with the laptop but it only works in Vista. When running a benchmark test, the graphics were much better in Vista because I dont think I can find the right driver for the graphics card in Windows 7. Also, a lot of the Fn buttons dont work anymore, for example changing the brightness, turning off the display, showing the battery level on screen, etc. I assume this is done through the chipset driver which I never had to install or even looked for.

Also, one last thing, with my graphics card on Vista I get a little ATI icon in the notification area, along with the Catalyst Control Centre, although I never get this in Windows 7.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks a lot.

So glad I found this website - definitely helped me through attempting to salvage data from the stock hard drive in my Samsung NP-XQX411-A01UB when it failed recently. I bought a new hard drive (Western Digital, good reviews on the HD) to replace it, and when it arrived today, I started the process of getting the laptop back to life.
I have a system recovery CD, which let me install Windows7  just fine... but a slew of drivers are missing, of course. There was no second disc with such things as some people have suggested. I've been on the Samsung website looking at the list of drivers available to download.. but a) they don't match the list my laptop gives of missing drivers and they are all listed for Windows XP, not Windows 7.
So what to do? That laptop itself won't connect to the internet until drivers are installed, so I can't try auto updates yet.  And just directing me at that list on the Samsung site doesn't help! NONE of the downloads listed on the Samsung website are clearly matches for what my laptop says it needs.
Here's the list my computer gives of what is needed:
PCI Simple Communications Controller
SM Bus Controller
Network Controller
Ethernet Controller
Universal Serial Bus (USB) Controller
So which ones do I download, from where?
Help appreciated!!

It's my first time building my computer, and I'm all done - I had some difficulty with making my .iso file bootable which I was helped with on here last night. Now I require drivers for my SSD which I can't find. Well.. I went on the Samsung website, searched my SSD and downloaded the 'Magician Software' which I tried to find the driver in - no luck. I also downloaded the 'Firmware' (I thought this sounded more appropriate) which gave me two .enc files. I copied both of these to my USB and tried to install Windows again. It still can't find the drivers for my SSD to install my OS.

I have updated my Samsung 550P7C from Windows 7 to Windows 10. The update process appears to have loaded drivers for all the devices successfully, apart from the touchpad.

In the case of the touchpad, a Synaptics PS/2 Port TouchPad driver has been loaded; it works satisfactorily, except that there is no option to reverse the direction of two-finger scrolling. ((When the laptop was running Windows 7, the touchpad driver was for a Synaptics PS/2 Port TouchPad, and two-finger scrolling worked in the "reverse" direction.)

I have tried updating the driver using the Samsung Update facility, but this did not help.

I have checked available drivers on the Samsung web site, but it only lists Windows 7 drivers. (I'm sure that the last time I checked, it also listed Windows 10 drivers!)

My questions are:
I have found a site (http://www.driverscape.com/manufacturers/samsung/laptops-desktops/550p5c-550p7c/1166) that claims to provide Windows 10 drivers for the 550P7C. Is it safe / sensible to download drivers from sites such as this, or would I simply be downloading a virus?! Or can someone suggest where I could obtain a Windows 10 driver? Is there any way to check the manufacturer and model of the touchpad, without disassembling the laptop?Would loading a driver for a different Samsung laptop be an alternative? If so, can anyone suggest which model ranges would be most likely to use the same touchpad as the 550P7C?

Hey team,

Im reformatting my sisters old Laptop. It has Windows 7 Home Basic 32 bit from OEM, but when she got the computer, she never received any disks to reinstall or anything. So I am installing Windows 7 Home Basic retail 64 bit.

The installation worked, but none of the wireless drivers hosted on samsungs site are able to make the wirless be detected.

I talked to samsung and they said that because the installation was 64 bit, that the computer was optimized for 32 bit.. yet, the drivers in the site are for 64 and 32 bit...?

I really don't know what other drivers to try. Any help is highly appreciated.

A:Cannot get drivers to work for Samsung R440L

Did you check to see if it has a recovery partition? If so you could use that to restore to factory state which would include all drivers.

Post a snapshot of a fullscreen Disk Management:

To open Disk Management, press Windows key+r, type diskmgmt.msc and press Enter or click GO. Make it full screen.

Screen capture: How to Use the Snipping Tool in Vista - Vista Forums (says it's for Vista but also works with Win 7/8).

Once you have the image saved, click on the Paperclip Icon next to the Smiley Icon.
In the Manage Attachments window, click Browse and navigate to where you saved the image and select it.
Click the Upload button.
Close the Manage Attachments window.
Click on the Paperclip Icon again and select the image you uploaded. It will be placed in your post.

If so, it shows two 64bit wireless drivers. Did you try both of them?

Hi Guys,

I'll be getting this monitor soon and want to make sure it is functioning properly with my Win7.

I have the retail version of Ultimate x64 just want to know if I can get any sort of drivers that will work?

A:Samsung T260HD Monitor Drivers

Yes, there are drivers for your monitor.
Support for T260HD SAMSUNG
For future reference, I got there by going to the manufacturer's website, and searching for the model number.

I'm trying to install Windows on a new machine. The motherboard is ASUS Z170 Pro Gaming. The EUFI BIOS sees the SSD drive (Samsung EVO 750 250 GB) but Windows does not. There is the option to load drivers but i can't find any drivers for the EVO 750 online. The Windows installation medium is actually a small partition on one of my other drives but I doubt that makes a difference.

Thanks for any help.

I have an RM Professional P10 laptop, I think I'm right in saying it's actually a re-badged Samsung P10.

The hard drive failed recently and I replaced it and re-installed XP Pro but the Video Controller (WGA compatible) and PCI Modem are highlighted in yellow in the Device Manager. I did require a wireless driver but managed to find that. I presume Samsung drivers would be ok - if I could find them. The problem I have is that if I go on the Samsung site I'm asked for an actual model number, I think P10 is merely a series identifier not an actual model number.

I've looked underneath the laptop and about the only numbers I can find are 1700-256, P/N NV200 and S/N W037939502. I presume the 1700-256 refers to the processor speed and the RAM fitted.

There's an RM telephone number underneath the laptop but it comes up as number unknown...

Anyone any ideas?
