I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Hey folks,

Got an M93 with Win 10. Lenovo solution center asks to do upgrades on BIOS and a bunch of drivers. Did that, and now I can't boot the computer.

Tried pressing F1 after pressing start button, no help. Can't enter BIOS, still stuck at lenovo screen. Also tried Ctrl+Alt+Del on that screen, blacks out then stuck at lenovo screen again.

Please help and inform, thanks!!!

A:ThinkCentre: Stuck at Lenovo splash screen after lenovo solution bios upgrade

I would try resetting the BIOS using the jumper, or by taking out the CMOS battery, wait a minute or two, and then replace it and try booting up. See page 73 of the Hardware Maintenance Manaul linked below for location of the Clear CMOS/Recovery jumper (# 20) https://download.lenovo.com/pccbbs/thinkcentre_pdf/m83m93p_hmm.pdf Clearing the CMOS (BIOS)1. Remove all media from the drives and turn off all attached devices and the computer. Then, disconnect all power cords from electrical outlets and disconnect all cables that are connected to the computer. 2. Remove the computer cover. 3. Locate the Clear CMOS /Recovery jumper on the system board. 4. Move the jumper from the standard position (pin 1 and pin 2) to the maintenance position (pin 2 and pin 3). 5. Reinstall the computer cover and connect the power cord. 6. Turn on the computer and leave it on for approximately 10 seconds. Then, turn off the computer by holding the power switch for approximately five seconds. 7. Repeat step 1 through step 2. 8. Move the Clear CMOS /Recovery jumper back to the standard position (pin 1 and pin 2). 9. Reinstall the computer cover and connect the power cord. Good Luck,

What is the cheapest 300W+ PSU that will fit in this machine? I want a gpu but that 240W PSU won't cut it. EDIT: Here is the gpu i am planning on buying. https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814932005&ignorebbr=1

A:Lenovo ThinkCentre M81 PSU Upgrade?

Tower or Small form factor... actually posting your Machine Type Model (MTM) would help. If you have the tower, just about any ATX PSU like this one would work since I believe your motherboard as the standard 24 pin connector, but with that card you might want to wait to see if it even needs a 300w PSU, because it may work just fine with you current PSU unless you have a bunch of HDDs installed etc.. If you want a Lenovo PSU that shipped with the M81, you can get a 280 watt like this one  https://www.amazon.com/Genuine-Lenovo-41A9684-Desktop-PS-5281-7VR/dp/B00R3NPNN6, which should be more than capable of powering your GPU. Best of luck,

The specification for the M Series, specifically the M910, shows an optional "USB 3.1 Type-C" module.  There is no way to order this option and the sales team now says "this option is not available in US".  Does anybody know why?  I would like to purchase computer with latest technology, so are there suggestions.  I am looking at both SSF and Tower versions.  Or is there a work around to this limitation? Thank you!

Any help woud be appreciated. Not looking for gaming use, just more power in the PSU for possible dual monitor use, better display, and power/stability for a 1/2GB GPU card. Thank you, Peter Costa

We have several relatively new, unused Lenovo ThinkCentre MT-M 7373-AMU workstations that were recently donated to our senior center's home computer training center. The workstations have Windows Vista SP1 installed and are working fine under Vista. However, we are using the workstations to teach senior citizens how to operate home computers and need to install XP along with Vista in dualboot mode. Basically, these workstations will not accept Windows XP clean installs even on a dedicated hard drive. Attempts to perform a clean install of XP results in screen announcements that there are "compatibility issues" which probably have to do with the hardware configuration and/or the BIOS. Thanks.

This forum was a tremendous help to me when my laptop had serious problems after 2 years. Long story that I won't repeat.

I now own a Lenovo M53 Thinkcentre Desktop (I couldn't help laughing when I opened the box and saw it's actual size). I'm so used to desktops having a CD drive that it completely slipped by me that the M53 does not have one. I learned from this forum about covers for hard drives to use them externally and bought one for the HD that I removed from my laptop. I also removed the CD drive and was told by Lenovo that the CD drive does not require a cover, I would just connect it via usb.

There is no usb port on this drive, so how would I connect it to my M53 so I can install my software? Thank you. Jane

Good morning everyone,  I am having issues with sound on the M92 or G1U3306 as stated on the subject. The sound works perfectly fine for everything with the exception of Istation, www.istation.com. I did notice that this is only affecting 2 out of the 20 plus computers we have, so its a bit hard to say its just the model. I have tried updating the drivers to the latest version, and as well verified that it was not just the input device for front and back jacks being wonky. Oddly enough the support agent I worked with, used TeamViewer and was able to hear the application just fine, however when I used speakers it was very, very faint but I could also hear it.   Is there any general help anyone can provide me to pinpoint the problem further?

After several days in the Seventh Circle of Hell with (now resolved) problems caused by AVG, one of my optical drives has failed completely and I'm suspecting this must be connected to the following, new problem.

When I switch on my Lenovo (IBM) Thinkcentre, a "System is starting... To interrupt normal setup press Enter" message appears - normally just for a fleeting moment, and then the Windows logo appears with the progress bar.

Now, in the wake of the two wasted days recovering from the AVG mess up, POST hangs at the "System is starting" message for what seems like an eternity and the boot only starts after a few candles have been lit and prayers offered. After that, all is well and the system runs even better than ever (a major plus after removing AVG).

Okay... research seems to indicate that this is a BIOS setup problem, but the research doesn't tell me what to do about it. I'm 99% convinced the problem doesn't lie with the hardware - and there is a connection with the trashed optical drive.

Any ideas, guys? In my totally untutored way I'm thinking that the startup is somehow confused by the dead drive.

A:Lenovo Thinkcentre hangs on startup

This could be due to some leftovers of AVG. How does the computer boot when tapping F8 and selecting Safe Mode. If it boots normally in Safe Mode download AutoRuns and look for anything AVG left behind in regards to services or drivers. Only uncheck the box next to any AVG item. Try booting after disabling every AVG item.

https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb963902.aspx

If that does not solve the problem then do a clean boot. If clean boot lets the computer boot normally start enabling startup items and services a few at a time until the problem arises.

Here is your solution :  ERROR 1962 Lenovo ? No Operating System Found FixFirst of all, when you have been faced with Error 1962: No Operating System Found, press and hold the key combination of Ctrl + Alt + Delete. This will reboot your system. In order to enter the BIOS setup, press the F12 several times in a row.A little box will appear on your screen and you will see the word Setup written in it. Hit Enter. At the top of the screen select the Startup tab. After this, go ahead and select CSM and hit Now select the Enabled option.Go down a little and locate Boot Priority, after which hit Enter. Now change the current option of Legacy First to UEFI First. Finally, press the F10 key and choose YES. With this you will have completed the steps to resolving ERROR 1962: No Operating System Found and should no longer be present, when you switch your computer on.Once you?ve finished with the last step, your computer will reboot and load as usual, hopefully without displaying the above error message. Please let us know if this is useful for you and if it helped solve the problem! Adrian GatesSr. System Admin - Apps4Rent
