How to enable physical keyboard in tablet mode?

Q: How to enable physical keyboard in tablet mode?

I would like to know how I can enable the physical keyboard in my convertible laptop using the tablet mode? I am not referring to the onscreen keyboard, but the actual physical keyboard, which is normally disabled in the tablet mode.

Preferred Solution: How to enable physical keyboard in tablet mode?

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

I'm looking for: The names of current/correct Lenovo software, services, drivers, and background processes that should all be running on this laptop model, and Dependent Microsoft services, drivers and processes.... that must all be installed and working properly to enter and exit tablet mode correctly by folding the physical keyboard back. I've tried all commonly discussed solutions I've found online. None of them resolve the issue or are clear about which system components the feature depends for this model laptop. Very frustrating. Thank you for any help or tips.

Hi all, I've noticed that my Yoga 910 is not auto rotatingwhen I set it to tent mode nor to tablet mode. Not only it doesn't auto rotate but it also keep the keyboard active... Not sure if this is a faulty sensor problem or just some bug. I've tried to follow the solutions presented in other topics but without success even tried a system restore but the problem is still here. I can't really identify which update has created this situtation but I know that when a couple of months ago it was still working. I also have the impression that more are affected, so could Lenovo release a patch to troubleshoot and solve such an important issue for a Yoga product (basically there is no Yoga functionality with this problem). Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks!

Flex 4-1580, Win10 64bit. All updates installed. When working at my desk I keep the lid of the laptop closed and use an external keyboard, mouse, and monitor. When I open the lid, it asks if I want to go into tablet mode. Regardless of whether I say yes or no, the keyboard and touchpad are disabled. If I rotate the screen around to a "tent" or tablet configuration, the keyboard and touchpad start working. I have installed all updates I could find and tried manually toggling tablet mode but nothing helps. I would like to be able to use the computer as a laptop when I travel without having to use an external keyboard and mouse.

The update didn't offer me yoga mode control drivers. Is there another driver or software specific to the yoga 530?

When the computer is off - and I split the tablet from the keyboard - I then start the tablet up - everything boots fine.  When I open up a browser (either firefox or edge) and  I  touch the address bar of the browser to put the cursor there and then touch the icon to bring up the onscreen keyboard - I try to type in an address but the keyboard switches every 3 or 4 seconds between 2 different kinds - one with a .com (and a .ca also- I'm in canada) near the spacebar and one without it - I cannot get in more than 2 or 3 characters before the browser highlights the address bar - and I can't enter any more characters unless I delete them and type real fast. I'm sure it is some sort of windows 10 issue with the on screen keyboard being used with a browser (problem only happens when I use a browser - either of the above). I can get around this by opening google and typing my address in the googles search window in the main body of the screen - but no other way. I have updated windows and all the hp drivers - am at a loss - did an internet search and nowhere could I see that peoples on screen keyboard has the .com button next to the spacebar. This issue does not happen if I start the unit up with the keyboard & screen attached - then detach it and work with it as a tablet. I have also tried various windows settings as touch friendly tablet mode - with no luck. I should mention one other anomily that may be related - sometimes wh... Got an inspiron 13 7000 yesterday and trying to use for first time.  When switching to tablet mode, the virtural/on-screen keyboard cannot be selected for use.  It is available in laptop mode (when I don't need it because of the large keyboard in front of me), but not table.

So, I called tech support and was told it was outside of regular tech and they'd transfer me to software tech.  They said there is normally a fee for this support, but since the computer is brand new, there would be not charge.  Software tech refused to help me unless I paid and they transferred me back to hardware tech who put me on hold, then hung up on me.

Wow, nice support on a brand new product!  They want me to pay to get their defective product to work?  I guess it would be cheaper for them to pay for a return shipping label, give me a full refund and sell this as a refurb at half of what they sold it to me for then for them to actually spend a few minutes on the phone trying to help.

Before I return this and buy another brand, does anyone know how to get the on-screen keyboard to work on tablet mode?

However, when I turn on the tablet mode and try to type, it shows up only for a second and disappears. I saw a similar topic on this issue where it was advised to install mode controll drivers. I have done this (version 2.0.0.9), however, nothing changed and the issue still exists. I found numerous discussions on this matter (it seems to be a common problem), but nobody was able to give a real advice which would actually help to solve this issue. I would appreciate if you could share your experience and advice on this. Thank you!

Hi, I recently bought an used 910 and thought it was a good idea to return it to Factory Settings. As novo button was not working, I tried using the recovery image (downloaded from Lenovo support site), but it threw an error by the end of its process and Windows was unusable; for some reason lenovo support stated that I wasnt able to download the image again and point me up to download W10 directly. I proceed to download W10 directly and install it without ANY problem, later I installed all the applications/ drivers from:https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/ar/en/products/laptops-and-netbooks/yoga-series/yoga-910-13ikb/download... Now for the problems:* When I fold into tablet mode, tablet mode IS enabled... but keyboard and trackpad are still 100% active.* Accelerometer/ sensors are showing "noise" by Lenovo Diagnostics, this in turn make that when on tablet mode, to be "wacky"... like tablet mode on and off. All of this is specially odd, as prior to formatting tablet mode was working fine... I know, if it is working, do not fix it... but I thought that after buying a laptop to a stranger, it was a good thing to do. Now for the checkups:* YMC (yoga mode control) service is installed and running.* Another post stated about installing OneKey optimizer  and Harmonize, I couldnt find those for Win10.* No missing drivers found on Device Manager... but:   - Keyboard is stated as: Standard PS/2 Keyboard (is this correct?). Hello, I'm having trouble starting my 260. Im using the hard drive decryption and therefore need to enter password before booting. Once in a while, the keyboard refuses to work directly After a restart. backlight comes up during the first second. But at the password screen it just doesn't respond. I have to plug in an external USB keyboard to enter the key. After that it starts and Boots into Windows where the internal keyboard is working again. I am suspecting the keyboard disabeling mechanism when you put it into Yoga mode, because the error seems to happen more often when the keykeyboard is folded away. Do you have any suggestions how to resolve the issue? I have been having problems with my new HP and its tablet mode. I would not automatically turn the tablet mode on after 180° and the keyboard with the touchpad won't lock automatically. While searching for answers, I noticed that HP responded only concerning how to fix the rotation, never how to fix this particular problem so I found the solution myself. It is very easy. Here are the steps: Control Panel*> Device Manager> System Devices> Intel (R) Integrated Sensor Solutions**> Properties> Driver> Update Driver * It's not in the Settings, to find Control Panel, right-click to the Windows icon or search though Cortana. ** In some PCs, you might not find it. There are two solutions (2nd is more recommended) :The driver might be named differently, you just need to find the equivalent to it.Normally the driver might not be installed or might not be functioning. You can find the driver online very easily to download : Click to access the link. Once downloaded, you install the and restart your PC.If it still does not work, you reopen the downloaded file, but when it will ask you if you wish to overwrite this file you will press "No to All " so it will only repair the driver. These step might be the first one if the drive was only not functioning correctly but was already installed.  Normally, the tablet mode should start working automatically and everything will lock automatically, but if there are any further questions or s... So, got my Yoga yesterday. After repartitioning the hard drive (what is Lenovo thinking?) and restoring from my USB recovery disk, I have a nicely working computer. Except for one slightly annoying thing. When I flip the screen over into tablet mode the keyboard becomes disabled (perfect). When I flip the screen back over into the normal laptop position the keyboard remains disabled (ugh!!!). The only solution I have at the moment is to close the laptop and reopen it. The keyboard works again but I have to relog into Windows. Running Windows 8. Only things I did other then changing the drive partitions is remove some unwanted default software that was installed.

I have factory reset my yoga 3 pro numerous times and I can never get the keyboard to disable in tablet mode. Furthermore, the laptop should automatically switch to tablet mode when flipping the screen into tent mode, etc but it doesn't. Also, the laptop never is able to auto-rotate vertically.  I have followed the instructions on the lenovo site by keeping lenovo harmony and one key optimizer but that solution never works. Recently I have noticed that the screen brightness key doesn't work properly either. I use the dimming keys and they either make the screen the highest level of brightness or the lowest but no level in-between. I have factory reset this laptop so many times. I feel like some of the original programs that came with the computer could be interfering or Lenovo just doesn't bother to keep the software up to date...
