Fujitsu Lifebook won't boot - no charging indicator lights

Q: Fujitsu Lifebook won't boot - no charging indicator lights

Hi, I've got a Fujitsu Lifebook AH531 which won't boot up. No charging lights when plugged in either with or without the battery in the laptop. I have tried different power sockets. I can hear a tiny tiny high pitched noise coming from the charging pack, although I am very sensitive to noise and can often hear these coming from my chargers. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Cheers.

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Hi, i have been getting blue screen whenever I close the laptop lid or to put it to hibernation or sleep. i thought it was a hardware fault so i sent it in to the fujitsu authorised service center. they removed my harddisk and stick in their own os disk to run diagnostics and claimed that there was no hardware problems. but then when my original hard disk was installed back, i can't boot my windows anymore and all that the service guy claimed was my os was corrupted and they swear they didn't do anything to my hard drive!

the error msg that I get when trying to boot up is follow:

File: \windows\system32\Drivers\FJGSDISK.sys
status: 0xc 0000428
Info: windows cannot verify the digital signature for this file

Does anyone has any idea what can cause the bootup problem? I called fujitsu tech support and they cannot determine what FJGSDISK.sys is.

I tried a few procedures recommended by the service center to recover the OS using the fujitsu supplied recovery CD but nothing works. The only thing they told me to do now is to reinstall my OS which is the last resort if I can avoid, as that would means I have to reinstall all the other applications.

all the files on the hard drive appears to be intact.

Thanks much for helps!

A:Unable to boot Fujitsu Lifebook after removing hard disk

FJGSDISK.sys is listed as a G-Sensor Application Filter Driver on several websites.
This website states that it's a Fujitsu file: Fjgsdisk.sys driver | What is Fjgsdisk.sys file? and I have found them to be reliable in the identifications.

So, I then downloaded each and every Win7 driver available for a T4220 system (which has this driver) and extracted each and every one of them. Frustratingly, the driver doesn't exist in any of the downloads!!!!

But after a bunch of searching I found that G-Sensor is a Fujitsu disk protection technology for preventing shock damage. The drivers are usually associated with the Fujitsu HDD, and not with the system itself. Unfortunately, Fujitsu has sold it's hard drive business to Toshiba and I couldn't find anything there.

Long and short of it - you're going to have to mess around by remotely mounting the registry and file system - and then take the offending driver out of the load sequence and rename the driver so it doesn't load. And even this isn't guaranteed to work - so I'd suggest backing up your stuff and reinstalling Windows "clean"

Sorry! Good luck!

I have a Fujitsu lifebook n3511 and the integrated graphics card is bad. So, I bought a motherboard from ebay (said it was tested and ran great!) I installed it and everything went in beautifully. The problem is that it won't boot to post. After researching I realized that I removed the processor from the original motherboard without unlocking it. (Stupid, I know now). Do you think this could be the problem? Or, did I get a bad motherboard?
When I plug it in it gets power, then I turn it on and the fan runs for a second then stops.
Any suggestions? I would like to know if I can test the motherboard and if so, how, before I waste my money and buy a processor. Any help would be appreciated.

This laptop has no internal floppy or cd drives. I connect external floppy and cd to the usb port but it doesn't read either. I change the boot menu to floppy and cd, all did not work. I connected the ethernet cable from my network to it and it reads alright. the screen comes up with the client mac address.
Now my question is; how can I connect a laptop with no operating system to my home network to be able to install the windows xp from the share drive?

Thanks for any help out there.

Regarding various failed Win 10 upgrade attempts to a Fujitsu P770 laptop running Win 7 Pro, I noticed an optional Win 7 update, ?FUJITSU LIMITED - Other hardware - Fujitsu FUJ02B1 Device Driver, Download size: 228 KB? dated Feb 2, 2016.

Microsoft offers no detailed information on this update but the Fujitsu website's description is, ?FUJ02B1 enables several Fujitsu-proprietary features such as LCD brightness, LCD close/open event, keyboard 'hotkeys', LifeBook Application Panel, and Fujitsu Security Panel, along with other BIOS & Power-level communications.?

Attempts last year at upgrading to win 10 were unsuccessful as were those made by the local Microsoft Store. No explanation was offered by the store. The failed update would go to a blue screen during the automatic reboot after ?Upgrading Windows? and ?Copying Files? actions were completed with an error message ?Recovery Your PC/device needs to be repaired. A required device isn?t connected or can?t be accessed. Error code: 0xc000000f?. Since Fujitsu does not list the P770 on their web site as eligible to be upgraded to either Windows 8 or 10, I was not surprised at the blue screen, although another Lifebook (P1630) that I own did upgrade to Win 10 without problem even though it was also listed by Fujitsu as ineligible for upgrade.

I am interested to know if the driver update will solve the blue screen install issue before investing another 2 days on drive imaging and W... Read more

I have a Fujitsu Lifebook N6110 with two sticks of 256MB ram. I would like to upgrade to the max ram, which I believe is 2GB.

So my first question is; can the laptop hold a 2GB ram stick in one slot, or does it have to be two 1GB ram sticks to get the max 2GB ram?

Second question is; assuming I can go either route above, would I be better off using two 1GB sticks (utilizing something called "dual memory" I believe??), or would I get about the same performance with one 2GB stick?

Fresh install of windows 7, only the LAN is detected/installed

* Audio - Windows Update seems to be able to pick up the audio driver.

* Finger Print Scanner - Again windows update seems to work for

* Wi-Fi - Fujitsu Official Drivers for the wireless card works (the vista one of course)

* Video - I can't get video to work though. as 1024x768 is the native res of the laptop screen, I didn't notice it until I plug it in to my monitor...
Checking device manager, its only showing "standard VGA"... I tried the new Intel Graphics Accelerator Drivers Win7 RC, but I get an error that says: "System does not meet minimal hardware requirement."

Anyone got video working? It'd be good to use more than 1024 x 768 on a 14" screen...

I've been trying to upgrade a 60gb hard drive of a Fujitsu Lifebook S6231 to a 250gb hard drive.

I purchase the Apricorn Universal USB upgrade kit, but when I clone the disk and install it, all I get is a blinking cursor. I called up Apricorn and they mentioned that maybe the BIOS does not support larger hard drives. There are no later bios firmware to upgrade to. Also the CSR told me to try a "AS IS" clone which keeps the partition the same size on the new drive and then try using Partition Magic to expand it. I tried that and I still get a blinking cursor

I looked on the Apricorn website and they sell hard drives for my Lifebook, but the largest they sell is 120gb. So I figure maybe the largest HD the bios will support is 120gb and I go to Fry's and get one. I clone the disk and I still get a blinking cursor.

Any suggestions?

It's a four year old "P" series laptop (XP pro sp2) that I really like 'cause of it's size, but I'm trying to get it up to speed (so to speak) for my gal.

It's fully updated, virus free, almost no unnecessary software/files or services running (thank you eldergeek), and maxed out RAM-wise - but I'll be darned if it's not ludicrously slow.
Firefox opens in just under 35 seconds, and god help me if accidentally click open another app while browsing.

Even 2 years ago it was relatively quick, got set aside when we got our G4, and now that THAT died I want to revive the Lifebook.

Would a reinstall of Windows help this? I just picked up a 250g external drive to back anything up.

Thank you for your time!

A:Fujitsu Lifebook (xp Pro) Wicked Slow

This could be a lot of things, and we could spend a lot of time trying to get things working right.Or, you could backup your stuff, then format and reinstall Windows and things should work OK (this discounts any hardware issues - and a dying hard drive can cause just such a problem). The biggest PITA's with a reinstall are:1) Installing all the Windows Updates (it should be around 100 for XP SP2)2) Installing all the drivers if they're not included on your recovery CD/DVD3) Setting up all of your favorite programs again. But the benefit is that the computer will function as if it's brand new.Should you decide to do this, I'd strongly suggest testing the hardware before you start.First, use this free utility to see if there's any major issues with your system: http://www.sisoftware.co.uk/index.html?dir...n=sware_dl_3264Then use this free, bootable utility to test your memory: http://www.memtest86.com/Then, presuming that you've got a Fujitsu hard drive, I'd suggest using the DOS utility here (on a bootable disk) to run their disk diagnostics: http://www.fujitsu.com/us/services/computi.../utilities.html

Run Xirrus Wi-Fi Inspector
Download and install
If you cannot access the internet with this PC, then you will need to copy the program across to the faulty PC
Save the file to a USB flash drive or other removable media. Plug it into the working computer with internet access and copy the file and install the program.
You will now need to take a screen shot and copy that back to the working PC and attach the screen shot in a reply on the forum here.

http://www.xirrus.com/Products/Wi-Fi-Inspector.aspx
Direct link to the program is here http://info.xirrus.com/Wi-FiInspectorConfirmation.html

{If the above link does not work heres another link http://www.pcworld.com/downloads/file_download/fid,77196-order,4/download.html}

Then run and install the program - on a wireless enabled PC/Laptop
if you get an error - You need will need to haveNET Framework installed for the WiFi Inspector to function.

Run the program

A user guide is available here http://www.xirrus.com/cdn/pdf/Xirrus-Wi-Fi-inspectorguide-1-2-1-RevB-6.aspx

post a screen shot of the program running.

Hello All ...
I am trying to back up an image of my Fujitsu LifeBook C series to a Maxtor

reboot with USB 1.1 because the reboot locks if I use USB 2.0. My LifeBook
has USB 2.0 but it continually lock with that selected. Then I get to the
point where the DOS Ghost is about to resolve to start the back up and then
the LifeBook goes into a GPF every time. So USB 2.0 Locks up at the PC Dos
startup and USB 1.1 GPF's at the Ghost image creation screen. Can anyone
help me with this resolution? I don't care which format it uses, I just need
to get it done. I can supply the error output data log if necessary. Many thanks in advance ... Bill

So here's the deal my tablet was running just fine everything was functional and then one reboot everything went wrong list of things that happened:1. My wireless capabilities stopped2. The screen touching completely stopped3. My bluetooth stopped working.I looked at my device manager and the drivers that associate to the functions that weren't working all had the yellow triangles with an exclamation point. Now what I did next was a system restore and everything worked again perfectly fine. Then about 4 days later it happened over again and this time system restore did not help.So my next thing I tried was disabling and re-enabling the driver via Device Manager and that made the wireless and bluetooth work and gave me some touch capabilities back (I was able to touch with my finger but my pen was way off and calibration could not fix it) (also quickly going to mention that the T900 has some problems when you turn it into the tablet mode the pen mark will not orient correctly this is not the same case here because the pen is 3 inches off to the right regardless of where it is moved)My next step which was suggested by the engineering department of my college was to uninstall every touch driver and then run a problem developed by Fujitsu themselves called Fujitsu Desk Update and basically that program finds the drivers that are missing/outdated and installs newer versions. When I ran this program it showed absolutely no updates even though I had uninstalled all the touch... Read more

Hello everyone.

This is my first post here on these forums, and hopefully I can assist one of you one of these days...

I have a Fujitsu Lifebook B2630. This is an older "netbook" type computer system. I believe it was manufactured in the early 2000's, maybe around 2003?

I am have a hell of a time trying to reinstall the OS, Windows XP. It does NOT have any internal dvd/cd drive. I've tried using one of my external dvd/cd-rom drives via USB, but the BIOS does not recognize it. It does however have an option for "USB Floppy" in the BIOS. I tried booting from that, but it still does not recognize the dvd/cd drive.

I have tried removing the HDD and installing it in another notebook (different make and model) but once the OS was installed on the removed Fujitsu drive; I then tried reinstalling it back into the Fujitsu to NO use. It "freezes" when trying to boot from it.

I dont know what else I can do to get the OS loaded onto my Fujitsu. Anyone have any ideas???

Thanks in advance!

Hello TSG,

Problem
My battery for my laptop Fujitsu Lifebook S Series cannot be charged. It all happened yesterday, when I wanted to charge my laptop battery. A few minutes later I realised the battery is not charging.

I switched on my laptop finding that my battery is 97% charged (this is the percentage the last time I charged my battery about a week ago. i didn't remember i charged it, so i wanted to re-charge yesterday). The battery is detected, but it is not charging. It is supposed to still be charging although it is 97% right?

However, my laptop can still run with the battery, plugged in or unplug... or without battery but plugged in.

Help
Nothing happened to my battery... As in I did not drop it or anything like that.
Why is this happening? Does this mean I have to send for repair at the Fujitsu?

Hey everyone I'm having a problem with my Fujitsu T5010 lifebook (windows 7). When I boot up, a blank screen displays as if it's about to display the loading screen but it never shows up. Everything else with the laptop works fine, I'm hooked up to an external monitor and there is no problem using it as a display (doing this currently). This is NOT a hardware problem with the screen, I have tested another identical screen and gotten the same result. Also, I can still adjust the brightness of the screen even though it just has a blank display.
How the problem occurred: I opened my laptop to find the screen had frozen on the unlock screen which happens from time to time. Instead of holding the power button to reset it, I closed the top to the point of the screen just turning off, but it popped back up turning the screen back on. It just displayed a blank screen after that, even after restart.
I need to find a way to reset the display since because the system isn't able to detect the problem. Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks!

Hi everyone

I have a Fujitsu Lifebook AH31.

This laptop will not boot in to Windows 7 HP 64-bit, it brings up the "windows did not start" menu, however when startup repair or start normally are selected, the laptop attempts and then fails.

This also happens when trying to boot into safe mode, USB repair DVD, WIN 7 Repair DVD, WINUBCD, etc. It does not happen when in BIOS, at the startup menu (F8), or the "Windows did not start" menu.

I have managed to boot into a repair DVD but had to disable the HDD in BIOS, which is pretty pointless. This also no longer works. I have also tried another HDD and the reaction is the same.

The power light go out, all noises cease, then the power light comes back on and the computer starts again.

Bit of a weird one :)

Thanks all

I have a Fujitsu Lifebook Series E that used to connect to the internet but will not connect now. It will not recognize or list any wireless connections available. Actually, I can't even pull up an empty list of wireless connections available. It does have a local area connection but it says a network cable is unplugged. I know it may be a faulty wireless card but I don't know how to test it or, if it is bad, where the find it to replace it. Can someone please guide me through the steps to either fix the connection or determine if my wireless card is bad? I appreciate any and all help. Thank you!

Hi. I am having the worst time. When my laptop sits idle - like I go to have dinner I come back and it has gotten the BSOD.

I get messages like "Drivers are causing Windows to resume slowly:
Name: Windows Driver Foundation - User-mode Driver Framework Reflector
Filename: WUDFRd.sys
Publisher: Microsoft
Device: SD
..."

The laptop came with Vista 64 and one month later they gave me the Win 7 Home Premium 64 upgrade. They have not been any real help in resloving my issues. They say I should run it under Vista.

What I really want to do is run it with the Win 7 Ultimate so I can use Bitlocker. They tell me it not compatible with the Ultimate version. Is this possible? I now know that the unit does not have the TPM chip, but for me that is ok, I'll just use a jump drive with the bitlocker unlock code.

The first thing is to stop the crashing.

Thanks for your help.

Hello everyone,

I'm thinking of buying this machine, but I can't find any comprehensive description of its specifications on the net anywhere - not even on Fujitsu's site! Of course, the salesmen, being clueless as they are, could not verify what graphics it has. There's an Nvidia Geforce sticker on the front panel, but it doesn't mention the amount of graphics memory. The device manager shows both Intel and Nvidia adapters, but not much else, and neither do the system specs. So far as I could tell, it's an Nvidia Geforce 410M. So if anyone knows for sure what graphics this thing has, their help is greatly appreciated.

Machine:

Fujitsu Lifebook SH531/GFX
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
Intel Core i5-2430M

Thanks in advance!

LIFEBOOK SH531 (GFX) - Fujitsu Italy
Intel? HM65 Chipset
NVIDIA? GeForce? 410M (1GB DDR3 VRAM)

I'm not sure here. The maximum video memory and clock speed contradict the Fujitsu site.

I'm getting this new tablet for my birthday, and am wondering what games it could play.

here are the stats:
core duo p8700, 2.53Ghz
4GB DDR3 RAM
Intel 4500MHD GPU
A 12.1 inch screen, so GPU will have little pressure.
and a 250 GB hdd for what its worth...

I'm not getting it as a gaming computer, and not expecting much, but would love some estimates.

Does the XPS 8700 come with any indicator lights? I purchased a Dell laptop a few years back and was disappointed that it did not have a hard drive indicator light. Does this one have it? I find the lack of one very annoying, especially when trying to troubleshoot whether or not the computer is loading something. The availability of the light is a deciding factor as to whether or not I will buy the computer.
There is no mention nor indication of any lights in any picture or manual I could find on the web.

A:XPS 8700 Indicator Lights

Yes. It has a small white HDD indicator light on the front, and the power button on top lights up too.

Reformatted Hard Drive and tried to reinstall Windows Tablet PC Edition from Fujitsu Recovery disc. But get error message "Unexpected error occurred during the optical drive preparing. Can not start the restore disc." and then I get a dos prompt for A drive . I've heard about this before where Toshiba and Fujitsu prevent people using a competitor's brand of CD Drive.

Ideas?
