Incorrect E-mails not bouncing back?!!?

Q: Incorrect E-mails not bouncing back?!!?

This is a new one for me.

Comcast 6 Mps is my ISP.
Windows XP Professional
Outlook 2003.
Only recent new software within last month when this started happening is IE v.7.beta 2.

I'm lost on this one and Comcast is, well, Comcast.

Preferred Solution: Incorrect E-mails not bouncing back?!!?

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

A: Incorrect E-mails not bouncing back?!!?

Check your "From" and "Reply-to" addresses. Have you entered them correctly?

PS: A post in all caps is equivalent to shouting in real conversation! Do you really want to shout?

Hi... I'm in help desk in my company. We're having an issue with emails sent to Hotmail, they're being rejected. Microsoft answered, via website:

"Welcome to Microsoft Community. We understand how important for you to be able to send an email to Microsoft accounts from your domain account.

You need to get in touch with the Microsoft Sender Support Team. They have to fill out the e-form that can be found on the following link to solve your issue with the error code 550 SC-002 where your emails sent from your domain to Microsoft Account rejected for policy reasons.

If you are the 3rd party Domain Administrator:

Please review our policies and guidelines at http://postmaster.live.com.
If you are in compliance, submit a support request to our Email and Delivery Filtering Services team by clicking on the link to the e-form under the troubleshooting section in the postmaster site mentioned above.

Let us know if you have further questions.

Thank you. "

... but the problem is that mails sent to Gmail are being rejected too... So I suppose that our servers are being considered as spammers, for the time being, for some reason. Is there a workaround to this without having to contact either Hotmail or Gmail? That's dealing with obnoxious bureaucrats... if you ever can get a hold of them...

Hello, everyone, and thank you for any assistance you can provide with this issue. I searched for an answer using Google and the TG search function, but the issue is inherently difficult to search for, as it brings up a lot of off-topic results. If this has been asked and answered, a link to the answer would be appreciated, thanks again.

When working on my computer, I practice a sort of extreme mult-tasking - that is, I usually have numerous Office & PDF programs open and more specifically 3-4 IE browser windows at any given time.

I frequently click to a new page, or action, on one page, then switch back to Word, or to another window in the meantime while that page downloads, even if this only takes a second or two - that's a couple of seconds I could be doing something else.

IE does not seem to cooperate in this regard, however, in that I will often find myself unwillingly dragged back to a browser window, when the page has finished downloading, when there is activity there, PW request, etc. Is there any way to prevent IE from switching windows on me against my will, so that I will only be on the browser window I choose and never be dragged back to an old window, regardless of what is going on there?

I am using IE7; however, the same thing happened with my earlier IE6.

I have cable Internet, but I am also using a old and slow computer - will an upgrade solve this?

If so, given my penchant for mult-tasking, is a dual core processor the way to go?

A:Internet Exlorer windows bouncing back and forth

Welcome, LAEsquire.

I think the word you're looking for is "focus." You click on a certain window to get the focus there. Then some other application or window wants your input or wants you to see a message and it grabs the focus (and you find yourself typing into thin air!).

I know of no way to change this operation. Maybe there is a registry tweak.

Since this is a general Windows feature I suggest that you click on the red triangle and ask a moderator to move this thread to the Windows XP forum, where you are more likely to find an expert who knows about this.

Hey everyone, I have been trying to play a few games on my laptop recently, and I've noticed the oddest thing. Take Dungeon Siege 2 for example; I start the game up, graphics are set to high, and the game runs smooth as butter. About 5 minutes go by and then I hit a massive lag spike, my frame-rate drops from 40 to 10. This lasts for about another 5minutes then... its back to being smooth again? It will keep doing this switch back and forth constantly. The game only uses about 400mb of ram, and even when its being laggy, lowering the graphics to bare-bones doesn't make the slightest difference.

I tried setting the core affinity to 1, 2 or both, that doesn't seem to make anything better. I tried raising the app priority, but vista keeps reseting it i think. And oddly, by minimizing the game and waiting about 30seconds, the game will go back to being smooth again.
What is going on??

I've been trying to find a solution to the problem and it led me here. However my problem isn't the same as the firefox 'bouncing' problem already mentioned in this forum.

When viewing hotmail I can visit my inbox but when i try to view any messages I get a very brief glimpse of the message before it bounces me back to the inbox.
With other sites it often just refreshes the page if i click on any avenues within the site.

I tried deleting cookies via the toolbar cos that sorts out some problems.

I only got to this forum through explorer (yuk).

I apologise if this is a question that has already been answered but my problem isn't very easily searchable through keywords.

A:Firefox keeps bouncing back to a previous page.

...also revisiting a tab in firefox causes that page to refresh. Not really a problem but displaying all the symptomes will help in diagnosing the problem.

I also tried re-installing firefox. That didn't work.

Please, any thoughts on this, it's driving me up the wall.

This morning emails I am sending to hotmail accounts I use every day are being bounced back with the message :"550 SC-001 Mail rejected by Windows Live Hotmail for policy reasons. Reasons for rejection may be related to content with spam-like characteristics or IP/domain reputation problems." There is nothing different from usual about the eemails I am sending. What is going on please?

A:Windows Live Hotmail suddenly bouncing back emails

Hi Aroominyork, it is possible the mail server you use for sending mail has been added to a black list which is now causing you issues.

You need to find the IP of your SMTP server (which you can find probably in the returned emails), if not then copy and paste the contents of one of the returned emails here and we should be able to find it.

When you have the IP, try typing it in here and see what results you get.

Hi everybody,
I am trying to get rid of trojans, worms and god knows whatever else settled in my pc under the guidance of one of the moderators (my posts are in the Security area).

Now what I was thinking about is of course how to avoid such problems in future (if ever I will solve the presents... ).
First of all: does anybody know how could I save my e-mails (not one by one) from Outlook Express 6 ? I know I can create a compressed .dbx file, but how on earth would I decompress them again to Outlook? Outlook's Help doesn't say a word about it...

that said, what browser should I use in future? Mozilla? FireFox? Opera?

all suggestions are welcome...

thank you

At least 7 or 8 years ago I started saving my Thunderbird/Firefox e-mails in the free MailStore. I liked it because it saved the mail under people's names and by date... and alphabetically, too, I think. There were probably more than 60 or so.. Recently I switched to Windows 7.

I don't know if that had anything to do with it but now I can't even get Mailstore and therefore I can't get to any of those special e-mails.

I'm wondering if they were all erased when I made the switch to 7 or if they are there...somewhere.

A:How to get back Mailstore e-mails

Depends on how you did the switch. From what I gather the MailStore was a program installed onto the computer so if you did a fresh install of Windows 7 then you may have removed them. If you did an upgrade instead, then they may still be on the computer.

Hi Anyone..

A little help or advice Please! My inbox in OE7 has become corrupted. It won't recieve mails. The existing mails cannot be Deleted, or moved to a new folder. They just appear to be frozen, etc. Sent mails,Deleted mails, Outbox, etc can be deleted! I can also send mails in OE 7 as the norm. I had a computer repair tech over today to work on my wifes puter, and also had him take a quick look at my problem. He tried a few various things, but nothing worked, etc. He seems very smart, but just scratched his head over the matter. He also created another folder, but the inbox mails could not be moved to the newly created Folder either! He was really befutteled over the mater, so I told him to forget spending any more time, and that I use Gmail as a backup e-mail program.

After he left I realized that I orginally had IE 6 and had upgraded to IE 7. While using IE 6 I had installed service Pac 2. Later on after upgrading to IE 7, I also installed Service Pac 3. I know that one can un install IE 7, and it will revert back to IE 6. So, my only thought was to un-install IE 7 back to IE 6. Then find a version of IE 7 and upgrade back to It. But I am wondering if I do that, will the newly upgraded IE 7 still have the corrupted inbox as it does Now??? That is the Question??? Hello folks,
In my week-long searches of the internet looking for a solution to my problem, I stumbled across this site and saw how well-mannered, kind, polite and professional the help here is. I figured, if I found such a trustworthy website, I might as well go ahead and ask for help too.

So it all comes down to my latest hardware upgrade. I switched from a 32BIT processor to a 64BIT one, and installed a new motherboard as well. Because of that, I had to format my hard drive and reinstall Windows - but not before I back all my data up in a 1TB Western Digital external HDD. I'll point out that WD programmed their product to baffle and bewilder the user, and I had quite an unpleasant experience with it (and it cost me a large amount of files, too).
However, I believe my Thunderbird back-up was unharmed, as I can see my backed-up mail folders containing about as much megabytes as one would expect to accumulate over a year-long of picture-ful-atistic mailing.

The reason why I'm probably here is that I did not have the foresight to export all my mail using the Thunderbird import/export tool, and I simply backed up the entire data that was on the computer.
Now I REALLY need one of the mails in there, one very specific mail containing very specific information (in text form, not any attachment if it matters). I figured the right way to restore it was simply restore the entire old profile into my "new" profile. With that said, I would be happy to get all th... Read more

How do you get them back to the right place on the computer now that it is fixed, I exported the address book and the e-mails you had to make a file on the desktop and then open that file and then open the Outlook express side by side and then make another folder inside the desktop folder and then highlight the e-mails and drag one (which in reality brought them all) over to the folder I had made and held it there until the folder turned a darker color and then let up on the mouse and it copied all the e-mails into that folder then I downloaded that folder onto the cd, hope that makes sense, I found those directions on google but can't remember where although I printed them out, so can someone tell me how to get the address book back to where it belongs and all the e-mails back to the inbox so she could look at them as if they had never been moved, I would really appreciate it cause I am going back tomorrow to try to finish up and really need to no, Thanks

Hi,I slipped up recently and downloaded a programme that I suspected as a virus as soon as I opened it. Shortly afterwards I found that I was running "b.exe" and "msa.exe" - both common virus programmes. I ran spybot, Ad-Aware and AVG, as well as RegCure. Spybot found the msa.exe (and I believe the b.exe was part of the same problem), and got rid of them. However, I clearly still have some adware on my computer, as my internet browser (firefox) is running slowly, and when I click on search links, I am directed elsewhere than I intended, and have to click back to go where I wanted.I have attached my hijackthis log file.Any help would be very gratefully received Cheers,Davey Boy.EDIT:Apologies, since writing this post, I ran Malware Bytes (suggestion I found from a google search). Hello All,

I have a very odd issue here.. I have a fairly inexpensive ($15?) Rosewill chiclet keyboard that I absolutely love. I spilled coffee on it so I quickly unplugged it used a blow dryer on it with cool air. I then let is air dry outside on a sunny day and when I was certain it was dried out I tried it. It's perfect, no issues. That is, until recently it started doing weird things such as pressing L makes the computer think I'm pressing 3, K thinks it's 6, etc etc.

Now when I quickly unplug the keyboard and plug it back into the USB it comes back to functioning properly. Rebooting also resolves this. But usually once to 4+ times a day it does this. I play battlefield 4, so it becomes very apparent that the keyboard is acting up when you press L to chat with your squad and it doesn't bring up the chat screen.

Anyway, here are some things I've tried:

1- Numlock is off
2- Different USB Port
3- Checked my region settings

Now, I assumed like I am sure a lot of you are that "it must be the keyboard is shorted out in some way from the coffee". Well it's a cheap enough keyboard that I love enough, so I bought a new one! Same thing keeps happening! I try it on my other computer and neither keyboard seems to have this issue repeat. I am not sure if it's just coincidence or not, but it all started after I spilled the coffee.. I should note that none of my other USB devices are suffering from any weird glitches, at least none that... Read more

Hi guys hope someone can help me.

Yesterday my e-mails just stopped coming into my inbox and mails I was trying to send out are stuck in my outbox. (MS outlook 2002 SP3)

I have double checked and re-entered my server settings and account details. I have tried archiving and deleting e-mails. I can still collect mails direct from the server and no-one else in the office (we have a small office network) has this problem, and it just happened spontaneously. I have been told there is no problem at the server end.

When I send/receive you can see it's making contact with the server because it knows how many e-mails are there and says receiving XX of XX but then you get the error meesage '(0x8004060C) : 'Unknown error 0x8004060C'.

Hope someone can help me I'm not that savvy with all this.

Thanks very much in advance.

I wish I had more information, but I'm not the person having the issue.  Sadly it is affecting my business...
E-mails that I send to a customer for some reason turn up completely blank.  I use Thunderbird and they're using Outlook.  I don't really see an issue there, so my only thought here is that maybe the information is getting lost in transit (but I have no idea how to verify that).
Other times, to the same customer, my e-mails are being labeled as spam, and for some reason they can't even access the e-mail.  We're on their whitelist, but e-mail is still being labeled spam.  I'm not sure if this is a client issue, or if it's a setting on their e-mail server, and it's labeling us as spam.
They currently have their tech person looking at the issue, but he hasn't veen able to come up with anything.  This has been going on for about 6 months now, and he's only there part time.
At this point I'm ready to talk to the person acutally in charge of ther website / e-mail server, but need to know what questions to ask, and what I can look into on my own before I call.
Any ideas?

A:Blank e-mails and e-mails incorrectly labeled spam

Have the client extract the message header information, if he can, and do a trace, using MXtoolbox -- http://mxtoolbox.com/EmailHeaders.aspx
You can also check your own domain to make sure it hasn't been blacklisted more generally -- http://mxtoolbox.com/blacklists.aspx

The first problem is that there are about 537 e-mails which date from august 2007 to December 21, 2007 which I cannot delete. I get the same messages when I gighlight it and click delete, open it and try to delete, or try to drag ir from the inbox to deleted box. The message says" The messaging interface has returned an unknown error. If the problem persists, restart Outlook". I've restarted Outlook several times, I've used the Inbox repair tool, (which indicated that it had repairs to make in the .pst file). No clue how to delete these e-mails.

If tried installing Outlook over itself but no joy. I'm using WEin XP Home and Office 2003.
The second problem is that I cannot get e-mail delivered. I can send out but cannot receive any. I called my local cable provider and he had me log in to e-mail through their website and low and behold there were all my e-mails in the inbox on the server but none are coming to me. The cable guy said that this is an outlook problem and not a cable problem. When I start up Outlook, I go into e-mail accounts and verify the passwords, I click test connections and they all say okay. When I log into the e-mail account through the cable website, there in the inbox are the test e-mails but they do not come to my computer. Why can I send out but not receive? Any suggestions?

A:Outlook problems-can't delete e-mails and can't receive new e-mails

I would delete the email account out of Outlook and recreate it again from scratch. Also make sure that if you are running a software firewall that the appropriate program rights have been given to your email client. Do you have important emails saved in your existing installation? If not, you can always completely delete your .pst file and let Outlook create a new one for you.

One more thing, who is the email provider (Comcast, AT&T, Charter, etc.)

I do not receive the message mail has been sent on AOL any more. Is this something new?

A:E-mails not showing mail is sent on AOL. Some e-mails not being received from friends

Well first I suggest not using AOL....But .. if you have to then try looking in your email options for message receipts. Something of that nature. also try sending an email to your self (different email address) and see if you get it even though it doesn't say sent.

Hey Folks,

I have a weird problem. I have Outlook 2007 and I have a LOCAL PST file. I have a rule which moves mails from my exchange inbox to that specific PST file.

The problem is that I see ALL mails in the list, but some mails do not show the content. It does show the attachments though, but not the message text. The emails that do not show seem to be completely random. Some mails with attachments show, some don't. Some normal mails show, some don't.

There are about 3800 mails in the PST and the folder size is 180 megs.

I hope this rings a bell for someone

It's the tale of providers who don't have an answer. I've been having email bounce back issues in two email accounts through different providers (GoDaddy and Network Solutions). Because it was happening in one account more than the other (mostly because I use that account far more), I contacted that email provider (Network Solutions).

The bounce back seems to be happening when I reply to an email - the bounce will either say no account of that name exists or there was some other fatal error. It's obvious these email accounts exist because I have been having regular communications with them.

Network Solutions did some digging for me and said it was because my IP has been blacklisted and I should contact my ISP (Spectrum formerly TWC). They said it wasn't their issue that it must be from a virus, a setting, or sending spam. After being on the phone with support for nearly an hour it came down to them basically saying there was nothing they could do to help.

NS checked MX Toolbox and found that my IP has been blacklisted 93 times. One of those places say that this is a function of my ISP and I should contact them to help get me removed. Well, I did and they said they couldn't help. So I'm here. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

My problem is exactly the same as one I've seen here before. My screen jumps up and down without my touching the mouse. It occurs sporadically and with different intensities and sometimes not al all. I can go weeks without it happening and then so intense for days that I can hardly read my screen.

A:Screen bouncing

Could just be a faulty mouse, seen it before, and that probably would be where I'd start.

I have a Dell XPS 15 Z laptop with 6 GB of RAM, 4 x 2.53 GHz processors and 500 GB hard drive which is only about half full. The operating system is Windows 7 Pro/ 64. All updates are current. I have Kaspersky anti-virus, malware bytes, & spybot search and destroy. All of which say the computer is clean.

Regularly my cursor starts jumping around the screen for two or three seconds. Even though the computer does not have a hard drive activity light, I think I can hear the hard drive going when this happens. If I wait a few seconds everything settles down and I have perfect cursor control from the touchpad. I've tried plugging in a mouse and I get the same effect, so I don't think it's the pad itself. The Cyprus touchpad drivers are up to date. I defraged the hard drive regularly. This happens in any program on the machine.

I have seldom seen more than half of the Ram used. The processor load is usually 15 to 25%. I can not detect any relationship between what programs or how many are loaded.

Since the computer seem to be needlessly swapping to the hard drive, I've tried increasing the virtual memory to very large values and decreasing it to a minimum. Makes no difference.

Im using a Dell with Win xp home edition.

Welcome to TSG!!

A quick thought.... Your monitor trying to auto center or adapt to the full screen resolution?

have a look at your monitor settings see if it even has auto adjust.
Or try a lower / higher desktop resolution (in the OS) before launching a game.
