I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Hello everyone. I just had to come to the forums and post this text that I wrote to the survey Lenovo sent me after my initial service case: I sent my brand new Yoga C930 to be checked because of light bleed both bottoms corners of the screen. They received the laptop on January 2nd and on January 7th I asked what the situation was, they told me it was being prosessed. On January 14 I again sent a message to customer service asking for an update since I didn't get any updates unless I asked (which is really bad service). They replied that according to the service center there wasn't enough light bleed. They then sent the laptop back. So for a week the laptop was just laying somewhere at the service center and only after I asked about it did they send it back. When I got it back I noticed the service person had scratched the laptops hard metal hinge. So now I had light bleed and  a scratched laptop. He hadn't even used the protective sleeve I had put the laptop in (sleeve came with the laptop). Instead he had forcefully jammed the sleeve in the box and put the laptop in a random plastic bag... At that point the laptop had been gone for a month and now the only way to get a replacement metal hinge is to send it back to Germany AGAIN. I have no idea how long it will take this time, or even if it will be returned in any good condition. I can say I have lost all my trust in the Lenovo service center and I am disappointed that Lenovo does not have any service in... Read more

I have a new Lenovo P50 which was purchased for me by a friend while visiting US. Since the beginning there have been problems with touchpad not working. I took the laptop to Lenovo's authorised service center in Delhi twice, and both times was disappointed because the technician refused to look at the laptop making one excuse or the other. During the first visit, this guy was not sure if P50 was covered under international warrenty in India and wanted me to provide a proof that it was. I got in touch with Lenovo customer support and below is the email response I received.  Hi,

This is in response to your request. We want to inform you that all think products come under IWS. So, your product is also under warranty and you will get services in India.

Your system is having carry in warranty, so please go to service center for any services you required.

Thanks
LenovoI was astonished by this reply, becuase this is something I thought the technician ought to know or could have found out easily without asking me to get this information myself and wasting my entire day. I went to the sevice centre the second time with this email, and this time he drops another set of requirements on me. He wanted the original invoice for the laptop along with a copy of passport of the person whose name is on the invoice, without which he will not even look at the laptop. This laptop was purchased from Amazon US and I had the soft copy of the inovice with me... Hi everyone I wanted to ask for your opinion of what should I do next. The LCD on my Yoga 520-14" started to flicker and to blink few month ago,I went to the local Lenovo service center to get it checked since it is under warranty,And they fixed it, stating that a faulty display cable caused the issue and it was replaced.Unfornetly as soon as I arrived home, I noticed a huge bright spot at the corner of the display which caused by blacklight bleeding. It was much more noticeable with a dark background but still visible with any image, ruining the image quality. Since it wasn't there before,I contacted the local service center and was told by them that the LCD was not installed correctly by the techniciansand I should send it back for them to fix it. This time I went there and spoke to the technician who told me that after they disassemble the display it is impossible to correctly install it again with out backlight bleeding, they will replace the LCD to a new one but unlikely this will fix the issue. When I received the notebook from the service center it was in much worse condition. Now the bright spots became much larger and on every corner, visible with any image that wasn't completely white. Also the LCD was installed loosely and emits cracking sound when pressed around the corners where it is loose. And I am afraid to use it in tablet mode since ... I sent my x230t to depot service center 3 weeks ago. But I didn't get any update for my case. Today, I was waiting 4 hours and talked with lenovo. They said, two part is backorder and can't say estimate date.   The backorder part is keyboard and DC port. this part can purchase ebay or ali express easily. But lenovo doesn't have part. very interesting  I know that if not able to repair or repair, lenovo should send replacement. but agent said "no" After finished the conversation, I read warranty policy and found this. "If the Service Provider determines that it is unable to repair your product, the Service Provider will replace it with one that is at least functionally equivalent. ""If the Service Provider determines that it is unable to either repair or replace your product, your sole remedy under this Limited Warranty is to return the product to your place of purchase or to Lenovo for a refund of your purchase price. "  I like thinpad product and use only thinkpad. but service is very horrible.

Anyone else have issues with customer service giving them a runaround?  Sent my computer in a month ago and repair hasn't been started yet.  I'm at the point where I need to buy a new system as I just can't work without a computer.  I keep calling every few days and they just tell me the parts are in but they haven't had a chance to get to it and will escalate the issue.  At what point am I entitled to a refund?

I bought my Lenovo Y700 laptop last December and I started having battery issues around 6 months back. The battery randomly goes to zero even when the charge is at 30-40% and the charger is not connected. The battery of this laptop doesnt last more than 90 minutes even when full charged on moderate use(browsing/reading word docs). First raised this issue with Lenovo around July and did many troubleshooting steps but to no avail. Finally I ended up shipping my laptop to Lenovo depot for a week to get this fixed but even when the laptop was returned from the facility it had the SAME ISSUE!Called the customer care yesterday to ask for a Refund but they denied and asked me to send the laptop back to the facility for another repair. Horrible customer service. How is a customer supposed to keep sending their device back to their centers every other week? Asked the customer service people to escalate this to Customer Relationship team and they denied saying there system wont let them escalate the issue. They offered a warranty extension but then backed out of it saying we can only offer that when you send the device back to us. I cannot send the machine back without having a spare machine as it obstructs my work. This is by far the worst customer service I have ever experienced.

Hello,i have a 510 with 4gb of memory. I just had to reset my machine because i have not enough memory to run stuff. Only 1.8gb left.( plus creative windows 10 doesn't work on it ). i would like to fit an Ssd and 8gb of memory. i talked to Lenovo asking about an upgrade center. They don't know. Then they ring back asking if I'm happy with the result, I say no. I need a dealer that can do the upgrade. Then I get ignored. I can do it my self but it voids the warrantee.OrI can get one of their dealers to do the upgrade and on the condition they don't smash the computer, my warrantee will continue... but there isn't a dealer ( pc world- possibly but the shop say they don't sell ddr4 ). Any Idears? regards

First, Im sorry if I'm posting in here wrongfully, the lenovo contact us page doesn't provide a way to contact lenovo. I was told it would be at most $650.00 to repair my laptop, which I was told would take at most 6 days or so. I was charged $695.50 by IBM for the repair automatically, again no way to contact anyone. I sent my laptop in on june 7, and got it back end of july.  My laptop is the x1 yoga, whatever part replacements I got all had on hold delays. I don't expect any sympathy from anybody, but this is kind of ticking me off that I was charged extra for delayed turn around.  I haven't seen the break down of the bill yet, but I have seen the charge on my account. If anyone has a way I can get in touch with lenovo support that would be a big help.

Like stated in the description. the Lenovo Yoga Control Service require 3% out of the CPU, all the time. and the only thing the service does is checking the orientation of the screen, and disable keyboard and mouse when flipped. This is absurd, especially since it drains battery constantly. I hope that this will be fixed eventually, until that time, I will turn the service off and use the computer like a regular laptop.

Can anyone recommend a Lenovo-authorized service center in the GTA? I was pretty disappointed after my last two Lenovo-authorized service center experiences (Manhattan and Tel Aviv), which were marred by the incompetence of individual technicians. I'd like to find a place that can fix my machine without introducing new problems. I'll go anywhere Toronto for a competent service tech.

So theres a white spot appearing on the monitor of my Yoga 720 about 6 months into usage and it's really been an eyesore. I took it to the service center and they claimed that it is an accidental damage (something about putting too much pressure on the screen) and is not covered under warranty? I have never put any strain on that specific part of the computer so I feel like I'm kinda cheated out of warranty coverage by some lackluster excuse. Can anyone offer advice to this use case? This is the most premium/ high end model of Yoga 720 too so that adds toward to the dissatisfaction. I could have gotten a Macbook at this price point.

My lenovo yoga 510 first facced some disk issues around 15th May, 2017  and at that time after online support the same was resolved. There after again on 2nd July, 2017 i faced some issues and Error message was "the drive where windows is installed is locked. Unlock the drive and try again." So i was asked to visit service Center in Ahmedabad. I have handed over the laptop to them and I was surprised to see worst services they have provided. Even the contact no. is constantly switched off any body can try on 9033066024. On saturday, 22nd July, 2017 i received a call to collect the laptop as the same has been repaired from the OS CD provided by me. However, when i visited service center, I was deeply disappointed to note that the same is not repaired till date and they have not receive original OS CD for repairing of hardware. I have provided them the delivery slip as a proof of receipt of the CD. They kept sitting idle on CD for 4 days. Now finally I have received laptop on last saturday after replacement of new hard disk under warranty but without participation of other drives and i am aked to visit again to service center.  This is the worst customer service support from Lenovo and it's authorized service center. Lenovo, you really let down a loyal Thinkpad customer with 10+ Notebooks since 2005. My T460s with 3 Year On-Site warran has a problem and switches off abruptly when battery 2 elapses instead of switching to battery 1.  I call my local Lenovo Service Partner, they arrange to come and fix the issue. Visit #1: You change the motherboard, it does not fix the problem but creates a new problem: no sound Visit #2: You install a myriad drivers on my system, still no sound, still switches off abruptly  Visit #3: You change motherboard again, fixes sound issue, creates a new issue: screen flickering, the initial issue of power off on switch from battery 2 -> 1 is still not fixed. So I started with a T460s power issue and I have lost 3 business days, my work is being destroyed and what I have now is a T460s with a power issue and a flickering screen. I cannot work and you do not help, you have just destroyed a loyal (circa 2005) customer. What will you do now? Your service partner offered to come and change another motherboard, do you think I have nothing better to do than surrender my life's work in form of my laptop to you to try to install a myriad different motherboards on?

I received this laptop as a replacememt of my defective yoga 720 the 18 October. After somw days of usage I can finally say that I ve got scammed by Lenovo, who sent me a testing unit with so mant problems! - Wacom pen and touch issues (such as ghosting and deas zones)- TouchPad gets disabled and became uselsss until next reboot. It also feels weird and it is kinda loose and imprecise! -KeyBoard acts weird and there is a noticeable input lag that I just can't stand since I am a programmer. -Hibernation/suspend/who knows who causes the impossibility to Wake up my laptop from sleep. When it happens I can only hard shut it down. - I've found some strange stats in the battery report that makes me think that I've received a testing unit with all of these malfunctionnality. My EMEA casw manager does no longee respond to my emails and I am willing to sens back this laptop and receive a refund or a new replacememt ( BUT NO MORE IDEAPAD LAPTOPS). If someone is contact with Lenovo I can send my case number. This is just unfair. Can't trust this Company. Check my YouTube Channel for the linked problems : https://youtu.be/5_daR-j7CQ8

Bought a new laptop for my child and it is broken in less than 45 days.  The tech determined it is broken and motherboard needs to be replaced.  This laptop is used by child at school on a daily basis and they expect the child to be without a computer until this is fixed.  Apparently it is not their problem and they suggested "Don't you have another Device for child?"  The representative barely spoke English and they really don't care about their customers.  Upon insisting to talk to Supervisor, obviously the supervisor is always busy and cannot attend.  Waited for over 90 minutes to talk to supervisor who pretty much repeated the same thing.
I understand things break.  How hard is it to provide a replacement?  The replacement supposed only works if it is within 30 days.  They have no intention to help and realistically don't care about customer.
Now I have to buy a new computer for the broken piece of ****?  Never buying a DELL AGAIN.  Horrible equipment followed by even worse customer service.
For the reference, the supervisor's name is "Jericho A"  Not even sure if this is the right name (as this was provided with great reluctance by the agent)

Hi everybody I had a horrible expirience at buying at EB games. So on my birthday I went to buy a game called Bioshock before I bought it I asked the manager "Can I exchange a game in case it doesn't work for a different one" so he said "yes". So I went home and installed it but it didn't run on my computer so I went back and said "It doesn't work please exchange it for a different one" he said "For same one in case of a defect" after that I said "but you said I can exchange it for a different one" so he pointed to the policy list and just went to do stuff I started complaining that he didn't showd me the policy and told me everything wrong. He were just sitting and listening and said "Please go out or I call the police" so I didn't wanted anything like that so I went. Also I compared the prices at EB games and Future Shop you dont beliave it, DOOM 3 future shop 9.99$ Canadien , EB games brand new 25.99$ canadien. I purchased 6 Thinkpad laptops for my business and just received them yesterday.  After receiving them, I realized that the batteries that they came with are huge.  They stick out a little over 1/2" below the laptop, essentially making the laptop twice as thick.  I called Lenovo and asked to swap out the batteries to the smaller sized battery, but they said that it was my fault for choosing that option.  I feel like they should have given a discription or disclaimer that the battery sticks out from the body of the laptop.  I'm now stuck with 6 laptops, that I cannot use as is, because they need to fit into specific cases that they'll be used in.  So I guess that I'll need to shell out an additional $800 for replacement batteries.

Hi, after purchasing my Lenovo Yoga C930 in November 2018 it worked completely fine until 4 days ago. At some point, I started noticing some slight flickers in the form of very thin lines that would span over the whole screen width. I then updated the Graphics Card drivers which solved the problem for two days, then it came back. Since yesterday, there are now some hug screen flickers (similar to this, but a bit less bad: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6SIHJYWsFCI ), which are increased if the laptop is on battery mode as opposed to when it is plugged in. I tried to see if there was a difference between the different power modes in battery mode, but it doesn't seem to be the case. All the drivers are up-to-date and I am very dependent on my computer for work, so I would rather not send it in if I can avoid it in any way. Has anyone had this issue with a C930 and managed to get rid of it? System information:Windows 10Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8550U CPU @1.8GHz 1.00GHz16GB of RAM Thanks in advance for useful feedback!Cheers,Julia
