Solved: Outlook 2010 missing from Office Professional Plus 2010

Q: Solved: Outlook 2010 missing from Office Professional Plus 2010

I had a problem with Outlook emails hanging up in the outbox and then sending as many as 14 copies of the same message. I was unable to fix this Using the "Repair" function of the upgrade installation disk (created from the downloaded file). I removed Office completely and tried to reload; however, my disk got corrupted and Outlook is no longer available. Is there a way to recover Outlook without having to purchase it separately? I am using Office Professional Plus 2010 Home Use Program. The email that came with the original download from Digital River states to go to the "Account Management Console" to reload; however, this is on a hard copy and the original email with the link is no longer available. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

A: Solved: Outlook 2010 missing from Office Professional Plus 2010

If you downloaded this from Digital River, then you may be able to download it again, contact them and ask.

If you can download the install file again and it works, burn yourself a CD of the downloaded install file.

Also write the keycode on the CD.

Hi,

I run windows 7 ultimate 32 bit. I previously had office 2010 beta which i did a complete clean uninstall and removed registries. Office 2010 Professional was downloaded from the MS Office website and so was the key.

But when i tried installing Office 2010 professional plus trial i got an error - Error attaching to OSE, error 0x00000000.

i was asked to check whether ose.exe was running. For some odd reason i am unable to find OSE in services.exe.

I understand its supposed to be in "\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Source Engine\" , but there is no folder called "source engine" in the Microsoft Shared folder. I did a complete search for ose.exe and source engine folder in hidden and system folders but unable to find it.

Please advice. I dont have an installation cd. I downloaded office 2010 from the website link given above. Also i dont have any virus on my system which could have corrupted or deleted ose.

Thanks.

You could try downloading the file again from microsoft. It is possible your download was corrupted by something or other.

How about if you go to File, Options, then on the left choose customize ribbon, over on the right side there should be a check in the insert box like so,

Hi all
Having totally WIPED office 2010 from my system and re-installed again the problem I had with the "Purge" folder not appearing now is SOLVED.

However you still don't get a line through the deleted items -- but they are in Trash folder now.

This is BETTER but still NOT WHAT IS NEEDED -- as another computer with Outlook 2007 doesn't get the "Non purged" items in the inbox which it should do.

IMAP should effectively leave items in the Inbox until purged -- otherwise I might as well go back to POP3 - more fiddly to manage whern you leave stuff on the server but it works.

What I'm resigned to doing now is to use the REST of the office 2010 suite (EXCEL etc) which is really good but stick with Outlook 2007 for email.

Cheers
jimbo

A:Outlook 2010 Saga with IMAP, Can I use Office 2010 and

I do like the way 2010 deletes the emails without purge, but I have found that rules randomly fail and some mail goes awol for a while when switching between folders (it reappears after a while)

IMO outlook 2003 is still the best (I hated 2007) but I will reserve full judgement until 2010 is out of beta.

I have spent at least six hours (probably longer) researching and attempting to install a recently purchased download version of Microsoft Office 2010 Professional Plus.

I spent a good deal of time uninstalling (completely) a previous, nag-screened unregistered, copy of Office 2010. I used the Microsoft Cleanup Utility. I ran several programs to clean up after all this, including Crap Cleaner.

Each time I go to install Office, I enter the key (#), and get the prompt saying that there is ERROR 1402. Setup cannot open the registry key.

I have done at least a dozen things to resolve this issue, including doing a diagnostic boot, with only essential services and processes running; disabled the firewall and virus protection; read of various other remedies, none of which has worked.

I have gone to regedit several time trying to change permissions of certain registry files. Some seem to change okay. Others will change, then when I click okay, the permissions resort back to what they were prior. Other things, like clicking certain boxes about inheritance, won't stick ticked. I find the whole permissions thing a nightmare.

My head is spinning. Is there a tried-and-true remedy for fixing this issue?

Another question: Does Microsoft provide free installation support for its Office products?

Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Only thing I see is that the Caviar is using Microsoft 2006 driver and I haven't been able to find a newer driver. Happens when SATA is set to AHCI and when it is set to IDE.

Good Evening Everyone,

I have a few questions concerning the Installation of 2010 Office. I know that I have to uninstall Office 2007. I have no clue on how to save or where to save my documents from Office 2007. The documents consist of Word, Excel, Powerpoint and a few various folders. Should I from the Start Menue click on Documents select all and copy. Where should I place this copy? Can It be left on my hard drive? After I install Office 2010 can I then copy the "Document File" and place in Documents. Will all the files end up in the proper place for their programs, Word files go to Word, Excel goes to Excel so on and so forth. Thank you so much for all your help and cooperation. It is greatly appreciated. I hope I described my situation correctly. I look forward to hearing from you.

A:2010 Office Professional Plus to Replace 2007 Office Small Business

But you don't have to uninstall Office 2007 to upgrade to 2010. That's the general rule as you can generally upgrade from lower SKUs to higher SKUs (Small Business to Pro Plus). As far as saving your documents, you can really save them wherever you like on your hard drive or on any CD or flash drive if you wish to do so. As far as file types, after 2010 is installed, they should all register properly for their programs so that Word documents open in Word, Excel Documents in Excel, etc.

Though if you have all of you documents already saved within "Documents" or "My Documents" or some other folder you've set aside and you want to uninstall 2007 before upgrading to 2010, the documents themselves will be retained when you uninstall, you just won't be able to really do much with them until you install 2010.

ATTENTION
If you downloaded RTM versions of Office Professional Plus 2010 or Visio Professional 2010 between April 22 and May 1 please obtain a new product key. Your current product key does not unlock full functionality; we apologize for the inconvenience. No additional download required. See the KB article for instructions on how to re-enter a product key. My wife, who is a school teacher, has been notified by her school they have an arrangement under which Microsoft are offering the school's staff a discount on Microsoft Office 2010 Professional Plus from c.300 to 6.15, which is rather dramatic discount by the generous Mr Gates by anyone's standards. As we currently use Office in an earlier version, this is an attractive offer. My immediate reaction was to worry that we would need to upgrade to Windows 7 (we currently use Vista), but Microsoft have anticipated my concern by offering us copies of 7 as well, also at 6.15. I was wondering if anyone can see any problems with this offer. So is this a case of 'not looking a gift horse in the mouth' or are there hidden problems?

A:Microsoft Office Professional 2010

Sounds all fine to me. Companies are often generous with school systems. Future customers are among the users.

But is is not at all necessary to use Windows 7 to use the new office. On the other hand, it is a deal that you may not see again and an upgrade from Vista should proceed smoothly since they have the same kernel.

(Eventually, even gift horses may need dental work. It isn't really a "gift" if you need to shell out for new dentures.)

ok I did something stupid, I manually uninstalled Microsoft office 2010 professional (deleted the folder) I did this because I couldn't uninstall it the conventional way. After I did that I tried to install Microsoft office 2013 beta and it says that there is another install of Office 32bit on my computer. So because I deleted the folder instead of uninstalling it using windows the program was still showing up in the add/remove programs (control panel). I then proceeded to use ccleaner to remove it, it removed it from the control panel but the 2013 installer still detects the old 32bit one.

Try to reinstall 2010 then do a remove program operation. If it works, then load your beta version.

I'm just wondering whether this is worth the purchase: My company has enrolled in the Home Use Program and is offering Office Pro 2010 for a digital download of 12.95?.

It's cheap, and I have Open Office currently installed. I don't use it a great deal but under 15 bucks is almost too cheap to ignore, even though it's nearly 2 years old now. I would however if there are any issues with software / hardware compatability.
What are opinions of forum members?

A:Worth buying Office Professional 2010 for under 15?

MS Office is a very large program, and can cause problems if you install multiple versions of it on top of each other (ie 07 & 10). It should work, however, with most hardware, provided your computer isn't growing a beard itself for how long it takes to boot up. I myself would install it, but open office works just as well, and seems to be a bit more refined than MS office. But for that price, and if you can, you might see if another family member or friend would like to have it provided you do not.

I've recently downloaded Office 2010 Professional Plus from the Microsoft Home Use Program. When I try to install it, the process encounters an error (actually crashes explorer.exe most times through the installation process) - the problem is, it doesn't specify an error code! I'm not overly computer savvy, so maybe I'm looking in the wrong spot, but the extractor doesn't seem to be extracting the setup files into my Temp folder and there is no log file located there for me to reference for an error code. I have lots of space on my drive (~30 GB), so setup should not be aborting due to space limitations. I'm running Windows 7 Professional and it is kept current according to Windows Update.

I've gone through the forums here and other Google sources and tried everything I could find from deleting old Office installations, to changing permissions, etc. Mind you, there isn't much troubleshooting information given that Office 2010 is still only early in its release - I can't even find the official Microsoft support site for the suite. My old installation of Office 2007 is deleted (folders and registry entries) and I've restarted many times, without effect.

I am not encountering any error when I try to install Project Professional 2010 or Vision Premium 2010 (they install and work fine).

Now, when I open Excel 2010, if I make a new file and save it, it works fine. But when I try to open an Excel file from Office 2007 or 2003, it will open but if I try to change the file or save it as an Office 2010 file, excel stops working and shuts down.
Windows has no solutions to this problem.
I have checked for updates, but all that windows update offers are updates for the 2007 version of Office.
Can anyone tell me if there is a solution for this?

I've downloaded a copy of Office 2010 Pro Plus 32-bit from IUWare. Since it's free to Indiana University students, it seems like the best place to go. It comes as a self extracting archive, and once it's finished extracting the installation starts by itself. It looks like it installs the exact same way as any other source, save the initial extraction.

My problem is that during the actual installation, a message will appear after a few moments saying that the installer can't locate certain files and asks for you to define the path (each time I try to install it complains about a different file). When I browse for the missing file USING THE INSTALLER, it either isn't there, or the installer won't let me click the correct folder. It says "Invalid Location." But if I look for it myself in explorer, it's always right where it's supposed to be.

I've had this problem installing previous versions of office, with both IU sources and others, and a simple re-download usually takes care of it. I've already downloaded this 4 different times and would like to find a fix. I was just wondering if anyone here has had this problem and could help me out.

A:Solved: Microsoft Office 2010 Outlook--calendars

Where they shared calenders? What version of Outlook are you using?

I had this error when I was trying to open a file in Microsoft Access. I believe this is the first time I have opened a access file and that's why it started to configure. Any solutions? Excel, Word, Power point and everything else opens just fine.

Windows 10 crashed while updating OS because the power went out. The drive will no longer boot up.

I have connected the problem hard drive to another PC's USB port so I can see my files. I am now able to view all of the files.

I will be formatting the problem hard drive, installing Windows 7, then upgrading back to Windows 10. I have my Windows 7 CD but have misplaced the Product Key Code. I would also like to find the Product Key Code for Windows 7, now upgraded to Windows 10 that's NOT Working.

Was using office 2010 beta on my newer Dell Windows 7 64 bit desktop and it worked great. Eventually purchased the full version of Office Professional 2010 and attempted to load after following instructions to uninstall first. Downloaded the fixit app from the Windows site X16-32007 which worked fine on my other computer (Toshiba laptop).

After running this app seems to be ready to install.

Now after entering in the correct product keys get the following message:

Error 1719
The windows installer service could not be accessed. This can occur if Windows installer is not correctly installed.

Not only does this prevent Office 2010 from installing I also can't install Itunes.

Been looking on line and there does not seem anything that is working other than a lot of people are having the same complaints.

Any help suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hello. I bought Office Professional Academic 2010 today at school. My question is if I needed to reinstall it after I graduate, will I still be able to use it since I would no longer be a student? Thank you!

A:Need Quick Answer about Office Professional Academic 2010

Hi Brandonn2010,

You will be able to re-install it providing you keep the license key.

If you have this installed on another computer, make sure you remove it before installing it on a different computer.

What does this mean and how do I fix it please anyone??

A:Wrong Language when installing Office 2010 Professional Pro

That might have something to do with regional settings in Control panel.

Background: I have been using windows since 3.11 when I was in second grade and we got rid of our DOS box. I consider myself a proficient user to highly proficient user, having built 4 of my own machines. I have installed Office 2010 Professional and the program works.

Setup: Lenovo ideapad y500 purchased January 2013 with Windows 8

Problem: Windows will not allow me to set Word 2010 as my default program for opening .docx or other valid formats. I can open the documents from within the program, just not by default.

Steps Taken:
1) Right-click file > choose default program > Word 2010 not available > browse for and specify location > set program to default. Result = System Message "This app can't run on your pc."
2) Consulted Microsoft support site to search for solution. Same result.
3) Contacted Microsoft support hotline to request help with issue. Was informed that, because I didn't fully understand the intricacies of this new operating system within 90 days, and I can't make two Microsoft products work properly together, I will need to pay $150 for support. They used more tact, but that's the gist. I can visit any Microsoft store to get free support, the nearest being 150 miles away.

Desired Resolution: One of you fine people have seen this before and know how to set that default application. All of you who read this are also annoyed with Microsoft's awful customer service. Microsoft replaces my OS with Windows 7, which I loved. I pro... Read more

A:Help MS Office 2010 Professional - Word - Default Program

Hi tmf,

What happens if you try the following...? :
First locate WinWord.exe on your disk; probably something like C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office14

The "Program Files" bit might be "Program Files (x86)"
Follow the steps in this tutorial. Default Programs - Associate a File Type or Protocol in Windows 8
In step 3 of the tutorial - can you take a look up and down the list; are *any* file types associated with Microsoft Word?
At step 5 in the tutorial, select the option to "look for another app on this PC" and navigate to WinWord.exe in the path you found in step (a) above.
If you get the same error you mentioned in your post, post a screenshot of the error:

I have a brand new computer (Dell Inspiron Laptop) with a pristine version of Windows 10 on it. This is not an upgrade! My copy of Office Professional 2010 Plus fails to install on this computer.

At first, the installation progress bar goes all the way to the end, but doesn't say it is done, and there is no button, so all you can do is cancel by closing the window. Then I tried rebooting my computer because that was pending after Windows updated itself, and I started to get a 1935 Error. I tried running it in Windows 7 compatibility mode (I have used it on my old Laptop which is Windows 7), but even that fails. After a couple of tries, now I get different error messages, for example PowerMUI.msi (I think, some name like that) is missing and the installation stops.

Any ideas on how to fix this? Will really appreciate it. Losing productive work time because of this.

Hi, I recently formatted my Dell Inspiron Duo netbook, with Windows 7 Home Premium 32bit. I installed all of the software which I run on it without any problems.

When I try to update Microsoft Office 2010 Professional Plus (32bit) Windows Update only finds a few updates, and after they're installed it doesn't find anymore updates. It doesn't even find Office 2010 SP1.

{Note: I had no problems with other updates like Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 or other Microsoft updates.

I tried uninstalling Office 2010 and installing it again but nothing changed. The privacy settings which show up the first time you run an Office application I set it as "Recommended settings".

I also tried downloading Office 2010 SP1 (32bit) and when I tried to run it an error came up saying something like version mismatch (I presume that you need to install other updates before running the setup & I also tried to download an other update but the same error came up.)

I didn't have this problem before I formatted the computer.}

I hope I gave a detailed description of my issue, and thanks.

What sort of time scale are you talking about between installing Office and trying to download Office updates?

How have you got Windows Updates set up?
