I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Hello, When I put the Laptop in Tablet Modus the pointer and the trackpad are automatically disabled. When I want to use the Laptop function again , I simply put the the laptop slowly in its initial position. Here I have the problem that the trackpad is still disabled. The only solution that I have found so far is to restart the computer.Restarting the computer is not a convinient solution. Can you please advice? I have downloaded the userguide and I am sending you in the attached file the proper explanation of "disabling trackpad" when changing the modus. I would be very thankful to read how to enable it again. Thank you in advance!Angelina

I would like to change the scrolling speed of my lenovo yoga 910 but the only settings I see are the tracpad gestures and mouse settings in mouse and tracpad settings. This looks like a windows 10 issue but some other laptops have additional settings for trackpad and I would like to know they exist for this ultrabook. I also wonder if I can configure the trackpad gestures. For example I want to add/configure the dragging gesture from double-tap to three finger tap and drag. It seems that you can only turn them on/off. Again, this seems to be a windows 10 issue but any help is appreciated.

The trackpad might break me here... it's absolutely terrible if you're the kind of user that likes to use single finger click and two finger right click exclusively. You can set it up for this behaviour but it basically disables the entire bottom third of the trackpad.

Are there tactile click locations for left and right click in the bottom corners?  Or is it totally "tap" sensing?  Mine shipped out yesterday and this was one of my concerns.  Another option that just went on sale, the ThinkPad X1 Tablet, has dedicated buttons like a traditional ThinkPad.  It's much pricier for the same hardware, though, and I like the Yoga flexibility compared to a Surface type setup.

So I booted my PC after an update the other morning and the keyboard and trackpad weren't working. I tested the brightness keys on my keyboard and they still worked so it couldn't be a hardware issue there, and my mouse still worked so it was just the trackpad that had something wrong with it. The trackpad has a driver error (code 10) but the keyboard says it's working correctly. Here's what I've tried in hopes to resolve the issues so far: -Reinstalling trackpad drivers -Uninstalling both trackpad and keyboard drivers then restarting -System Restore -Chkdsk on both drives -A trick I read on these forums where you flip the device into tent mode, then after a few seconds flip it back round to laptop mode. I am utterly confused as to what's wrong here as nothing has even slightly helped my problem. Any help?

After a Window's update, my trackpad stopped working. After searches online for how to fix the issue, I noticed that the trackpad was completely unistalled from my computer (vs. just being disabled). I went to the Lenovo website and re-downloaded the driver, which fixed the issue..... for a few weeks. Now my trackpad stopped working again (randomly mid use...I had not restarted my computer or anything), with no further windows updates occuring. I looked and it is once again, unistalled. I tried to download the driver again, but it didn't fix the issue this time. How do I get my trackpad back installed and working?

I got my Lenovo Yoga 710 in the summer of 2016, and everything works great except for the inactive scrolling. The inactive scrolling only works when I have an external mouse attached to my laptop, in which I am able to type in one window while scrolling in another window that's inactive. However, the inactive scrolling doesn't seem to work when I am using my trackpad and not an external mouse. I have updated all of my drivers, but I just don't understand why the feature would work only with the external mouse and not the trackpad. It is rather inconvenient to carry around an external mouse when the trackpad is supposed to do the job. I am coming from a Macbook Pro and I really miss the inactive scrolling that it provided.  I would really appreciate it if someone could please help me. Thanks! P.S. I do not have any third party software installed and the inactive scrolling feature is "enabled."

Hi guys Just bought the Lenovo Yoga 510 and it's amazing but the trackpad feels a bit flimsy. I'ts makes noise when I'm typing. I was wondering if someone had the same experience. Oh and the placement of the arrow up button and the right shift button is a bit unfortunate but I guess I'll get used to that. Cheers!

This has been plaguing my Yoga 900 since I bought it and only gotten worse over time. I don't have tap to click enabled, so I have to click the trackpad down to do a left click. However, sometimes the click is not registered and other times it registers as two clicks. Is there any software setting to reduce the effects of this, or at least make the double clicks not happen? I tried reducing the double click interval and that hasn't helped.

Hi all, I am struggling with an issue that I have seen in other posts, but they date back to 2015, so I need to understand if this issue has been solved with new upgrades. My PC came with Windows 8.1. I upgraded it to 10 and all was going well. However, because of some issues with Office 2007 I decided to reset it from the system (not from the Novo button). All went well and the PC seemed to be "lighter" and faster, maybe also because all the preloaded software didnýt get installed. However, after working fine for a few days the trackpad became completely unresponsive. I tried a lot of things, including updating the BIOS and updating Synaptic, but nothing. Based on a conversation with Lenovo support I reset the PC again and the trackpad started to work again. Lenovo support told me to use the Novo button in order to go back to Windows 8.1, do all the necessary updated in 8.1 and then upgrade to 10, but I wanted to see first if the same system reset would do the trick. After 2 days the trackpad stopped working again and I realised that, like reported in other posts in this forum, the issue happens when the PC goes into sleep mode or hybernates (bacisally when I close the screen). This never happened before I reset the PC the very first time. In Device Manager the mouse disappears and I can see an I2C HID Device with a yellow tringle. I have tried to update the drivers by choosing the Synaptic device and using the drivers from Synap... Read more

I purchased a Yoga 300 less than a week ago and ever since purchase it has been running laggily. It was a display model (I realise this may be part of the reason it lags); however I have had particular trouble with my trackpad. Every time I tried to scroll with two fingers, it would jerkily try to catch up, and beeped loudly. I downloaded the new Windows 10 driver to fix this issue, only now it only scrolls when it decides to, and slowly at that! Currently I can only scroll by using the cursor on the screen, or with the arrow keys (which is also laggy). I have tried to access the additional mouse options via Settings, but it comes up with an error message saying "Windows can't access the specified device, path or file".Please help!

Hi, We're going to be deploying ~150 Yoga 260 laptops in the next month and I am working on getting them to image with SCCM.  We are imaging them with Windows 7 (unfortunately). I am able to image them and I install the Screen Rotation Utility -- http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/products/Laptops-and-netbooks/ThinkPad-Yoga-Series-laptops/ThinkPad-... -- through SCCM and it installs fine, but when I fold the computer into Tablet mode it switches to portrait mode and stays there and does not automatically rotate. This will persist through a reboot.  It will stay like this until I switch it back manually (Screen Resolution --> Landscape).   If I click the auto-rotate button icon in the system tray area it will also switch to portrait mode until I manually change it back. Also when folded into Tablet mode the trackpad will stop working all together until a reboot.  A USB mouse will still work fine. I thought there was maybe a sensor hub driver that might go along with the screen rotate utility, but I didn't see one listed on the driver page (http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/products/Laptops-and-netbooks/ThinkPad-Yoga-Series-laptops/ThinkPad-... I installed an old version that I used when deploying the Yoga 12 last year, but it still does the same thing. In addition when trying to install the Hotkeys software (http://support.lenovo.com/us/en/products/Laptops-and-netbooks/ThinkPad-Yoga-Series-... When scrolling with the index finger on my right hand I will regularly hover over and lightly touch the left button with my left index finger in anticipation of the link/button/text box etc that I am about to click on. I have always done this an never encoutered any issues on the numerous laptops I have owned and used in the past). When I do this on my newly axquired Lenovo Yoga 900 it causes the mouse pointer to lag momentarily. I have updated drivers (v19.0.17.57), I have turned off ALL Multi-Finger options (2-finger, 3-finger and 4-finger) and reduced Palm Tracking to the minimum. Is this behavior isolated to me, or are other experiencing the same behavior? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello. I have had my Ideapad 300 for several months now and I really love it except for one thing, the trackpad. Due to where my hand and fingers naturally sit, there is a spot on the trackpad that shows a little more wear than the area around it. In this picture ( http://imgur.com/bJovhqL ), you can see that there is an oval shaped region that looks a little different. The problem I am having is that several times a day (up to several times per hour), the trackpad goes nuts.  It doesn'ttrack my finger correctly and performs multi-finger actions even though I'm just using one finger.  It jitters around the screen if I try to use it, and I just have to wait for it to self-correct by staying off of it for up to 30 seconds.  If I look at the trackpad icon on the bottom right of the taskbar while it's messing up, the trackpad is registering multiple fingers. I'll use one finger, and the icon will display 1 finger, 2 fingers, 3 fingers, 1, 2, 1, 3, 4, etc.  Like I said, I just have to wait it out for it to go away.  And on one occasion, I noticed that even if I hovered my finger above the trackpad without actually touching it, it would still register fingers, like it was being super super sensitive or something. I've tried everything reasonable to fix it, tweaking the settings, uninstalling and reinstalling the trackpad, updating the drivers, using the OEM drivers, and nothing works.  It's getting very annoying, and ... Hi,My latest issue with Yoga 720 15" GTX, i7, 16gb that I can't resolve is the lost network adapter. As I was playing with photoshop blue screen popped out with some barcode and by the time I get to take a picture and the laptop shut down.I downloaded network drivers from the website, and tried them both because I didn't know which one si for my laptop, and then tried system restore, but it still didn't fix the problem. When I ran Lenovo's system diagnostics it states all the hardware is fine. Here is why I will never gonna buy LENOVO again.First with my purchase last Friday i tried to apply Gropon coupon for discount, but nothing happened, so I paid the full price. Then I expected it to be shipped on Saturday, but they shipped it on Monday.Once I received it I found the pen is not working properly and even when I try to use heavy hand sometimes it just does not work.Sometimes touchpad scroll does not work.Another think is that the screen flicker with mozilla, and with chrome is even worst and it is showing black screen sometimes.I did all the updates, I haven't changed any settings and this is it! Good think I have another HP Lapotop to keep me working.  All that happend in about two days since I have it, I don't really know what to expect next if I don't get to return it.

Hi,So its difficult for me to pin down the problem here but I know that its not my Wi-Fi as i've had this issue at college and at various homes, cafes. I'll be browsing the internet when suddenly my thinkpad will disconnnect from the internet. Note, usually it will say that it is connected to the router but it isn't getting any connection. I will use another device at the same time that experiences no issues. When using Skype I lose calls frequently. It's dissapointing considering I dropped 1 grand on this laptop only to use my 100 dollar smartphone in many situations. Thoughts?

Hi jreder007 ,

Welcome to the Community Forums.

To start with I would suggest you try to check on the wifi adapter properties .

On Device manager , choose the wifi card and right click for Properties , Power management to uncheck on Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power .
Advance tab would also show Roaming tendency / aggressiveness that you can move to highest.
See if that would would , else you may proceed with uninstall and reinstallling your WIFI driver downloadable from the support site .
Update us how it works for you .

I broke my screen a few weeks ago and after purchasing a replacement screen from a third party manufacturer I got it working for a few days. However, today, I was using it earlier and suddenly the screen turned into flickering pixelated lines for a few seconds then it went black. I've tried diassemblign and reassembling it to make sure all the connectors are intact but wasn't able to get it working again. Now I'm stuck in a situation where I don't know if my LCD is faulty or wether it's the LCD connector. How can I figure out what it is and would you happen to know the part number for the LCD connector. Any help would be appreciated.  EDIT: Another thing to note is that I am currently using it on an external monitor and when I go to display settings, it only identifies 1 monitor (the external one). I am not sure if this is indicative of something but maybe it could be useful. EDIT 2: Just discovered that my touch screen is still working. Thank You

Last September 2016 I bought a new Lenovo Yoga 3 PRO, I was quite happy with the battery life and the overall quality of the product. Now, 6~7 months later I still quite happy with screen, audio, materials... but not with my battery life. I give this computer use as home main driver for coding and web browsing, with some photo editing with Adobe Lightroom from time to time, nothing intensive that might heat up the computer on excess. I also try to give the computer "healthy" battery cicles, not leaving 0% battery for long periods neither leaving 100% battery plugged all the time. However, when today my battery seemed not to charge and have been experience shorter and shorter battery life over the last months, I was shocked when I saw on HWMonitor that my total battery capacity droped from 44.000 mWh to 14350 mWh. I could not believe it. Check here: That is too much battery loss for such a short period using my computer! Any idea of what I can do to fix this? I have just been unlucky and got a lemon with this computer? Should I send it back to seller?

This is now my second Lenovo Yoga 720 13" that I recived from Best Buy. I returned the first one because I noticed the screen did not meet the rubber bezel at the top, exposing the inside of the monitor. This caused me to worry about dust and hair getting behind the screen and possibly destroying it. The second one has the same problem as well as many others. The power button on the first one clicked when I pressed it, however with this one there is no click and I must hold the laptop and press the power button all with more strength than a person should have to just to get it to turn the laptop on. Also the trackpad comes above the right side of the laptop where the left side rests below. There is also a strange rattling coming from the plastic peices at the bottom of the screen. Many of the keys on the keyboard stick at random points when I'm typing causing the keys to not type. Also many of the lights behind the keys are either burned out or extremely dim, now I find it hard to believe that they burned out from my using the laptop since it is fairly new. Lastly there is sharp metal sticking out on the right side of the laptop that often scratches me when I put it into tablet mode. I can still use the laptop, but I feel like I have to be overly careful with it because of all these issues. It is as if this laptop was never checked for defects before it was sent to Best Buy.

I recently updated my computer through Lenovo Vantage there I specifically remember a BIOS update being one of them. I've also downloaded a Windows store program called ReadAloud. My computer usually boots up within 10 seconds, but for some reason it takes 3- 5 minutes to get to the login screen. I had originally thought I was stuck on boot. I've called Lenovo customer support. They had me completely power off my computer. Then press the little reset button that has a arrow next to it. We discovered that my SSD was being recognized. Employee had me press F9/F10 to load and save optimal BIOS/Boot settings. While I was messing with these settings the menu loaded terribly slowly. I would press the down arrow or side arrow to traverse through the menu and the inputs were regestering 10-15 seconds later. I tried opening Lenovo Vantage today and there was an error. Windows store reccomended that I reinstall it which I'm doing now but the download has been stuck at 444.1 kb. This computer is still under warrenty, but the abnormaly long boot times is starting to affect my productivty. Lastly I will point out that the computer sometimes shuts off when I close is which isnt normal, instead of waking when opening the computer I have to wait  roughly 5 minutes for the loginscreen before I can do anything. I have to restart the laptop everytime this happens. Then the keyboard works until I press any function combo keys.  I resinatlled the keyboard drivers and updated it. Still it is not working. Then I installed the lenovo vantage app, tried changing hot keys to straight function keys, even then the keuboard stops working and I had to do the reboot stuff. Is there a solution to this problem? what is the issue? as it happened from windows update, am doubting whether this is the update issue or is it the keys are making the entire keyboard locking.... seriously am not able to comprehend the root cause. Can someone guide me

Hi I own a Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga 12 i5 180GB laptop/2-in-1. Sometimes, the CPU fan will just turn off completely, especially when the CPU is under heavy load. I am a content creator, and I use this computer for the bulk of my encoding jobs. Sometimes, when I am rendering or encoding, or even just scripting. Also, the battery is only charging to 41480 mWh instead of the designed 47060. What is happening? i have owned this for 1.5 years.
