I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

I want to purchase a ThinkCentre M720q Tiny model 10T7 together with a Tiny-In-One 22 (or 24) Gen3 monitor model 10R1 or 10QY.
But when I look into the User's Guide of the TIO22Gen3 or TIO24Gen3 I don't see the M720 listed on the page of the supported Tinys that can be installed in the monitor.
The ports on the rear of the M720q should indicate that it is compatible and should fit into a TIO22Gen3 (or TIO24Gen3).
But I am not sure.
Even the PSREF doesn't list the M720 in the Tiny-In-One compatibility list. I have looked into PSREF Version 534 from December 2018.

Can somebody confirm the compatibiity of a M720q and the TIO Gen3 monitors?

Thanks.

Apologies for the delay.  Yes, all Generation 2 Tiny (M73,M93) and newer are compatible with all TIO.   The only exceptions are the workstation and extreme models.  Ex.  M920x, P330

I ordered the m720q tiny with the optional USB 3.0 card, not knowing that it would be taking up the space for the 2.5in drive enclosure. I understand that the drive enclosures are CRU so I should be able to change them myself. The question is: I have no idea how to buy these parts 01AJ940 01MN886 and 01EF683 here in Malaysia (where I am currently at). I've tried encompass, but they do not accept credit cards outside the US for orders below $200.00 Does anyone know if there's a parts center in Malaysia (or Singapore) that I can either call, order online, or worse comes to worst physically go to so I can get these parts?

I have a new M720q with 2 display ports and an HDMI port. I have run Lenovo System update that says everything is completely up to date. I have manually downloaded from Lenovo's site the graphics driver and ran the installer.  Device manager still says graphics are using the Microsoft Generic driver, and only one monitor is seen. I have tried different monitors, different ports, Display port to VGA adapter will work. Display port to monitor will work, but only for ONE monitor. I connect up a second monitor using Display port direct cable to monitor, or using HDMI and it just isn't seen by Windows as a second monitor. I can swap which monitor works and which connector including the adapter or direct by rebooting.  As far as I can tell, the graphics driver Lenovo's site points to is not the right driver, or isn't being loaded by Windows 10. There is no Intel graphics control panel either. Any ideas which driver might work direct from Intel?

Hi,

I have an issue with two screens on M720q (10T7006PMX). If I have any of this cables VGA and HDMI to HDMI or DisplayPort to DisplayPort it works fine, but if I have DisplayPort to HDMI or DisplayPort to DVI and HDMI to HDMI the screen with DisplayPort to HDMI/DVI doesn?t work, Windows doesn?t find the screen. When I upgrade graphics driver to 24.20.100.6287 the screen works but flicker. I have tried two different DisplayPort to HDMI cables and two DisplayPort to DVI. Win10 1809. When I use the 24.20.100.6287 driver I also get a third screen in screen resolution, that is not supposed to be there. I have tried on three different screens.

I just installed two 16 gb DDR4-2400 modules on my Tiny desktop and within minutes the computer just shuts down.  I tested the modules on another like desktop and same issue occured.  I am however able to sucessfully run with a single 16 GB or a combination of 16 GB and 4 GB modules.  The shutdown occurs only when using the full 32 gb.  I have verified with Crucial that the modules are compatible.  I have also tried another set of modules with same results.  Chipset and Bios are up to date and this is a clean build of Windows 10, version 1809.  Thoughts on what could be the issue?

A:M710q M720q Tiny: Memory RAM upgrade to 32 GB = Shutdown in minutes. Solved: use Kingston memory

I have run into the same issue with Lenovo M900 Tiny model 10FM and above at my workplace.  One stick of 16GB will work (using that now), two sticks however shuts down the system 1 minute into power up...

I used Crucials memory checker, received two DDR4-2400 sodimm 1.2v cl17 16gb dual sided chips (kit of 2x16GB).  System would power up, go into Windows 10, be up for Approx 1 minute and system would power off.  You cannot repower the system, it turns on and shuts off immediately.  Pulling power to the device, plugging in again, will let it power to same point as before.  Approx 1 minute into having both modules installed.

Currently allowing the 16gb to remain to monitor for any issues.  The stick that came out was from the manufacturer, an 8gb with QC M02089 on it, no other markings.  It will not work in either socket with the 16gb chip.  TC steps as follows:

- Both 16 gb chips installed, power off after 1 minute up
- Single 16gb chip, stable
- Single 8gb chip, stable
- Swap 16gb chips in sockets, power off after 1 minute up
- New set of 16 gb modules, same issue as before (these were slightly higher freqency of 2666MHz)

Seems like a power issue on the mobo, too much draw.  As a cannot find any information on the installed chip itself creates a problem I can't get past.

I have a brand new M720Q with the Tiny TIO24 Gen3 monitor. When the two are connected together I cannot get any video ports to work except for the TIO itself. There should in theory be an output from the TIO DP port OR an output from the M720 HDMI port. I have updated the intel driver to the latest 26.20.100.6709 (Lenovo by default kept giving me the Microsoft default driver from 2006), but I get no ouput. I have tried every flavor of HDMI-HDMI or HDMI-DP cables I have, different monitors, projector etc. When I have IGD on direct in the BIOS I get no multimonitor support listed either. Has anyone gotten a TIO gen3 to work with the M720 and multiple monitors?

Good afternoon, we have a problem with crashing video drivers on Lenovo ThinkCentre computers. Users are actively working on the Internet through the Google Chrome browser and it often happens that during launching or downloading a regular page, the video driver simply fails and an artifact appears in the form of a small square (about an inch per inch). The computer continues to work, but all programs begin to fail, and on the Internet it becomes impossible to work at all, not a single page opens, Google Chrome is constantly crashing. This situation is found on the models m710q and m720q, installed the newest drivers (reinstalled the first thing, when such an error occurred). Please help me figure it out! Thank you!

Your system does not have Thunderbolt, and even some systems that do have it don't support using an eGPU (external GPU) connected that way.  There is no way to attach an external GPU to that system.

A:External video card availability

There are external video cards that connect to the wireless slot and then you use an external bay with a desktop video card and a power supply and connect that to an external monitor. I have used a lot of energy here trying to tell people the whole idea is silly but they keep selling and they do work to some extent. I believe we have had someone report "success" with your model series.  You have to remove the bottom service cover and the wireless card and plug in the dongle.  Before you do all this, you do have the nVidia 740M video which is not great but might run the program you have without destroying your laptop. For the record, I am very much opposed to the external video card concept except on the very newest models with USB-C Thunderbolt ports, which yours does not have.  Good luck.

Alright, I'm sure there will be much scoffing at this, but I'm looking for some constructive input on at least what would be involved in rigging up an external video card (AGP) so that I can up my Dell Inspiron 9100's graphics without paying an arm and a leg to Devilish Dell. I'm no comp-sci or electrical engineering major, but it would seem like all you'd need is:

A port to hook the external card into, some sort of cable that would run to the internal port, and something to mount the external card in, to protect it from sprayed Mountain Dew and other, less mentionable things.

I know that that is probably simplistic, but that's why I'm here asking.

Didn't that thing come with a Mobility 9700? As far as an external AGP card I don't think it's gonna happen... ever.

I was wondering if anyone knows of an external video card for laptops that allows for better game play. I have googled and looked all over and have found external video cards for laptops that allows one to hook into another display for better performance.

What I am looking for is different though. I have a crappy integrated chips on my laptops mobos and I am looking to be able to play more recent MMO's without having to purchase a new machine and/or monitor.

Is there a product available that allows one to plug an external video card into either a pcmcia slot or usb that would be comprable to upgrading a video card on a desktop, that would enhance the performace on the laptop and laptop monitor without having to purchase another display etc?

I haven't been able to locate one as of yet, but I imagine it would be a pretty good piece of software for mobile gamers looking to be able to get faster FPS and performance out of their lappys.

Thanks for reading and any ideas are appreciated.

For all of our desktops we have the display set to turn off after 1 hour of inactivity to save power and extend the life of the monitor.  With the Tiny-In-One 24 & M700 Tiny, once the monitor turns off, it won't wake back up by moving the mouse or pressing a key on the keyboard.  The Tiny is still running just fine I can remote to it from another machine but even remoting to it and logging in does not wake the screen.  This is with the TIO running in AIO mode.  The only way to wake the screen is to use the user controls on the front of the monitor to switch to DP mode and back to AIO mode.

Is this a know bug?  Running Windows 7 and I've already reinstalled all drivers and ran the lenovo system update utility and everything is up-to-date.  I also set the display to turn off after only a minute to do more testing and about 1 in every 10 tries, the monitor will wake up normally.  The rest of the time I have to use the user controls on the front of the monitor.

Looking for some help. I recently purchased an HP Pavilion 500-314.  Specs are as follows: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04293928 The unit includes integrated Radeon R7 graphics, and comes with a 300w power supply I purchased this unit in large part because it explicitly states that "Supports PCI Express x16 graphics cards".  I run a quad-monitor setup for my work, and have traditionally done this using an ATI Firepro 2450 card. I have now tried three different external graphics cards, and can get none of them to work: First attempt was with a VisionTec Radeon HD 5570 (item #900345).  This card supports quad monitor setup, and requires a minimum 250w power supply.  When I installed the card, the HP Pavilion repeatedly beeped a series of 4 or 5 (can't remember which) beeps, but refused to send an image to any video output (either onboard or the new card). Next attempt was with an EVGA GeForce GT 610.  This is a dual monitor setup, and requires a minimum 300w power supply.  Got the same exact response as with the VisionTec (i.e. series of beeps...computer would not fire any monitors up). So with both of these (new) cards, I basically gave up immediately as I couldn't even get into BIOS (b/c no monitors would work) to see what was going on.  My understanding is that the series of 4-5 beeps usually means that there is a graphics card issue, or that the card that has been added doesn't have sufficie... Good Day all,

So I could use some advice.. Im really stuck on why I cant get it to do what I want and not sure what my best solution to solve..

Problem:
I have a laptop I am out putting video signal to a hdmi splitter box (which is power boosted to ensure no signal loss) to a monitor and to a tv (thats more monitor than tv) . The signal going to the 2nd monitor and tv arent 1080p which is what I would like it to be. I currently am using the thunderbolt output to the splitter and then hdmi to both monitor and tv.

I do have the ability to output via HDMI but thought that thunderbolt was better (I could be wrong of course)..

Im looking to have 1080p at both monitor and tv.

Here is the hardware I am running

ROG G750JH Laptop (http://tinyurl.com/y6f5or5v)
(Minor changes to laptop, its running a 500gb ssd, 750 hd, and currently 16 gig of ram, but will be upgrading to 32 very soon)
Splitter box (http://tinyurl.com/yylqsty7)

Sorry, dont have the monitor / tv info at present, but will post that tonight if possible.

So whats my best option to output 1080p? I would very much like to not have to spend a lot of money if possible. Just looking for advice and options at this point..

Thanks
Kaz

my thought =

pros:
for high-end cards so that it doesnt mess the PCIe and PCI slots, and no such thing as my GPU fan is blocking my soundcard PCI slot. it's because im in the situation now.

cons:
for low end video users, they have to fork out to get better sound for which some people don't need.

Hi,

I have a Gateway GT 5082 ( Athlon 64 X2 , 2ghz flavor) I believe I have 2 problems if I want to purchase a decent video card. The stock power supply i believe is only 300W. Probably need around 400W to power a good video Card.

It comes with a PCI Express slot but even if I had the recommended power supply I really dont see an empty slot on the motherboard to put in the power connection from a new video card ( such as the nVidia 7950 GT ).

Do they sell external power supplies that I could run indepently of my computer and just power a video card? It would seem like a pain in the *** to replace the oem power supply so let me know what you think!

Yes I know there is an inherently 3rd problem the fact that I purchased a gateway haha... but just looking for some solutions here.

Thanks

A friend gave me a broken laptop. Really broken - dvd drive ripped out, squawking hard disk and worst of all - shattered lcd. I found an old CD-ROM drive, bought a new 2.5" hard disk, added some more RAM and connected the VGA port to an external monitor and presto - new lapt...er...desktop computer! It's a Compaq X1005EA too, only a couple years old.

The laptop lcd is shattered and replacing it would cost too much. The video card is obviously fine since it's been used via an external monitor for the past 9 months. It looks as if the connectors to the lcd screen aren't broken; I've disconnected the power connector but when on, the still-in-place lcd shards light up in a lovely jagged acid rainbow, so at least that one works.

Here's my question - is there a way to connect a 2nd external monitor to this laptop, via an adapter (or combination of adapters) to the internal video card, in effect replacing the broken lcd screen? This would give me the sweet multi-monitor setup I crave.

Thanks in advance,

Jacob

A:Connecting an external monitor to internal laptop video card?

You could buy an adapter that will split off to the external monitor and make two lines therefor two monitors

I don't know if I don't have enough juice or what, but after I add an external video card I get a BSOD.

This never happen before so I don't know what changed when I added an external video card that now it crashes when I would have one before it was fine.

Start by updating your system specifications so we would have a better understanding
of the hardware involved.
System Info - See Your System Specs
What I can pick from the .zip file you uploaded is as such:

Code:
VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE (116)
Attempt to reset the display driver and recover from timeout failed.
Arguments:
Arg1: fffffa800e2991c0, Optional pointer to internal TDR recovery context (TDR_RECOVERY_CONTEXT).
Arg2: fffff880051924a8, The pointer into responsible device driver module (e.g. owner tag).
Arg3: ffffffffc000009a, Optional error code (NTSTATUS) of the last failed operation.
Arg4: 0000000000000004, Optional internal context dependent data.
This bugcheck is usually associated with driver failure but can be attributed to hardware under the right circumstances.
DXDIAG reports HD graphics as your GPU, which is another reason to why I asked you
to fill-out your system specifications.

Code:
Card name: Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000

Code:
WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR (124)
A fatal hardware error has occurred. Parameter 1 identifies the type of error
source that reported the error. Parameter 2 holds the address of the
WHEA_ERROR_RECORD structure that describes the error conditon.
Arguments:
Arg1: 0000000000000000, Machine Check Exception
Arg2: fffffa80070b5028, Address of the WHEA_ERROR_RECORD structure.
Arg3: 00000000b2000000, High order 32-bits of the MCi_STATUS value.
Arg4: 0000000081000402, Low order 32-bits of the MCi_STATUS value.

Edit:
My games on my external hard drive are not detecting the ATI Mobility Radeon X600 128MB card located on my C: drive laptop. The games located on my internal hard drive detect my video card, but the ones on the external do not. The games run fine and everything on the external, but I cannot change the resolution to 1280x800 simply because it's not detecting a video card. Any ideas? Thanks.

Quick question: Does Dell offer the drivers for the ATI card with the laptops or no?

I am trying to install Win XP SP3 on the M92p (tiny) but I am unable to boot from external DVD that was shipped with the device from Lenovo. I've tried a number of BIOS options but no matter what the drive is excluded from the boot order. I've also tried updating the BIOS which returned the same result. Any ideas why? Is there something I'm overlooking? In the meantime I'm figuring out USB Boot as it appears to allow a boot from a USB Key.

I have an M910 Tiny.  I ordered it with WiFi.  I've read the posts and the HMM but they haven't answered my question.   Where I need to mount the Tiny doesn't allow suitable WiFi connectivity.  I'd like to use an external antenna.  They are a dime a dozen.  They have an some length of extension coax and then a whip antenna allowing the WiFi antenna to be mounted a distance away from the Tiny itself.  However, these antennas are almost all RP-SMA connectors.  That seems to be the standard.  That is NOT what is on the back of the tiny.  They have a small little routhly 1/8" connector, that is coax.   Is there an adapter to allow me to connect an RP-SMA Antenna to the connector on the back of the Tiny?   I tried to change the rear connector and cable with a suitable RP-SMA.  The Intel Model 8265NGW seems to have two U.FL connectors but they seem smaller than typically U.FLs.  If there is no adapter (Tiny Wifi to RP-SMA) then is there a suitable replacement cable to allow me to connect the WiFi card cable with a suitable RP-SMA cable/coonnector?   Is the WiFi 8265NGW connector some form of U.FL?  What is the name and specification of that connector?  Thank you.  All questions needn't be answered.  The real issue is how can I connect a "remote" antenna, probalby with an RP-SMA connector, to a M910 Tiny?

I've been having an issue using an external DVD drive with an M Series "tiny." Have tried Buffalo and Sony brand drives, neither of which seem to work correcty. If there's no DVD in the drive, the drive will connect fine and display, but once a DVD is in, it'll connect and immedietly disconenct in a cycle that lasts about 5 seconds each time. Weird that the same issue happens on two different brands of drives, which is why I think it may be an issue with the Tiny.

I have an M73, M83 and M93 tiny. None of them can read my external USB Samsung T5 SSD Drive. It says driver error. All my  other computers (many different kinds) read it just fine and don't have a driver error. I downloaded the latest Samsung software and still no go. I've tried all the different USB ports, upgraded the BIOS (with a crash and then had to re install-what a pain) but I can't get it to read it. Either I have to get rid of my Lenovo's or try a different brand SSD external hard drive. I need a speedy external drive as I transfer files a lot.

Hi all!I have a Lenovo M73 Tiny (10AY) with two external hard drives connected (Western Digital 4TB easystore & Western Digital 1TB MyPassport). Both are formatted as exFAT (Mac/PC household). When turning on/rebooting with the drives connected the system gets stuck at the Lenovo screen. Once drives are removed/rebooted the system will fully boot. Should note that I'm using Windows 10 LTSB. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. If you need any further information about the system, let me know.

I have the HP ENVY x360 - 13-y013cl convertable laptop. I'm using the standard resolution of 3200x1800.Most of my applications work normal.  Display fine.  However, some applications either show their starting splash screen as super tiny or the entire appliation is super tiny. See the screenshots here: Image #1 of OutlookImage #2 of other application The image of Outlook opening.  That splash screen should be almost double the size. The image #2 is a remote access app I use.  See how the username/password boxes are very tiny in comparision to the application itself.  Normally, those boxes would be almost doubl or triple the size of what you see in that image. Tiny.  I guess it's difficult to explain.  It's small and just doesn't look normal.Any ides on correcting this?  I've played around with diferent resolutions, but that changes everything around and the apps are still tiny.  And anything less than 3200x1800 and I'm not getting to use 100% of my LCD screen. Thanks in advance for your reply.

Hi

Wrote ages ago about the video driver and it works fine.

Now I have a Raedon 9550 video card installed in the AGP slot and the computer shuts down occasionally and the browser - Google Chrome - crashes frequently. Sometimes the error says timeout on Virtual Basic C++

Do I need to move a jumper or something? Can't find anything in the bios to disable the onboard video.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers

A:ThinkCentre Tiny: add 2nd HDD, increase size of external HDD, 500GB Hard Drive Adapter (0A65638)

The Lenovo ThinkCentre Tiny 500GB Hard Drive Adapter Kit  (about 100  bucks) can only be used in the the ThinkCentre Tiny Storage Unit Kit which is an external drive enclosure that must be purchased separately (about 40 bucks) that will accept a CD/DVD drive, or a hard drive caddy ( the Lenovo ThinkCentre Tiny 500GB Hard Drive Adapter Kit).    I would imagine you could replace the 500G  2.5 inch SATA drive that comes with the Adapter kit/caddy for a larger drive, but if you goal is to just add an external HD, It would probably be easier (and cheaper) to just buy an external USB hard drive like this one. WD - My Passport 2TB External USB 3.0 Portable Hard Drive  ($79.99 for 2TB up to 119.99 for 4TB)http://www.bestbuy.com/site/wd-my-passport-2tb-external-usb-3-0-portable-hard-drive-black/5605528.p?... Cheers,
