Requesting to pls confirm is it compactable with Flex 2-14D or tested. Problem is that, I'm unable to stop auto updated & post update installation failed, Its getting downloaded everytime. Why lenovo not prepared for such updates? Regards,VR No clear error logs as well.

Hi all. I having a problem with Win 1709 update since december 2017. My system (Win 10 Home 64 bit, ver 1703, OS BUILD 15063.850) is crushes (see attached screenshot) during the installation. I tried to install it multiple times. I also asked for help from MS support, but they killed my system so I had to reinstall it. I also tried following: Windows Memory Diagnostic Tool (mdsched.exe) -> no issues have been foundUpdate your BIOS -> there are no updates for my modelCheck and Repair Windows System Files (sfc /scannow) -> evrything is OKIChange power settings to High Performance -> does not helpTrobelshoot > Windows Update > Run The Trobleshooter. This one fixed some problem with "Service registration is missing or corrupt"Scann for viruses with Windows Defender. The blue screen of death shows stop code MEMORY_MANAGEMENT, not sure what else I can do in order to solve this issue. Thanks.

Tried to upgrade from Windows Update as well as using the Media Creator Tool by downloading from the Microsoft website, neither of them works. In the end, I got an error code "0xC1900101 - 0x20017", and a message "The installation failed in the SAFE_OS phase with an error during BOOT operation." I have every driver and OS software updated to-date. I do have Ubuntu installed as a dual-boot OS and Macrium Reflect configured as a recovery software from the boot, which might have caused the problem. I encountered this issue a while ago with the Spring Creator Update (see here), and I fixed it by deleting the Ubuntu booting partition, which I definitely want to avoid! I searched on Google, similar issued happened for HP laptops and was related to the BIOS driver. Does anyone know if this issue is related to the Thinkpad BIOS setting or something we have to wait for Lenovo to fix? Any solution to this issue? Thanks.

I was previously running the Window 10 spring creator's update without issue on my Yoga 910. However, after the fall creator's update (1709) the fan is VERY loud when plugged into AC power. When running on battery, it's whisper quiet. All BIOS/Software/drivers are up to date, and I've rebooted numerous times. Power mode slider is set to either all the way to the left (power saver) or one notch to the right. At times with the high fan usage, the system seems bogged down and very slow to respond to keystrokes. Task manager doesn't reveal anything super obvious using high CPU time.

Hi. Few weeks ago i made bootable iso on pendrive USB Windows 10 Fall Creators Update.
Propably 16299.15 version if i remember. But i get issues.

I get a tons of WHEA LOGGER errors in event viewer:

A spam of: WHEA Event ID 19 CPU-corrected hw error

And only one : WHEA Event ID 47 memory-corrected hw error

Looks like this:



Temps of cpu fine,temps of gpu fine. Never had any single BSOD. Memtest86 no errors. All benchmarks passing, no crashing in games.

Only saw that errors in event viewer.

I tried to update to

KB4056892 ( 16299.192).

And it stopped throwing that errors after installing update on 22.01 :

Well I figured that the "Activation errors" issue would crop up when a new update like this come out - my guess that many people would be doing the upgrade at once.

Blue Screen of Death errors on install: How many of those checked to see if they need to remove some software before the upgrade? Or rather do clean install.

I am facing a problem with my touch pad after recent update in windows 10. I cannot scroll the pages with my touch pad. But i can use a usb mouse working fine. Lenovo G50-80. I try to use Roll Back over option is device manager, but it is not highlighted in the driver page. And then i try to uninstall the driver then restarted my laptop, and again it is like that only. It has come to my attention that Windows 10 FCU (version 1709) issues may stem from an incompatibility with some machines.  If you are running 1703 and it is stable, then pause feature updates in the Settings/Update & Security/Windows Update/Advanced Options selection.  This is only a temporary pause of about a week, but you can edit the registry for a permanent block.  See MSFT support for this option.  I don't want to give out instructions because I do not want to be responsible for someone screwing up their registry, but it involves deleting the NoAutoUpdate entry.  Then wait for Lenovo to update your system to be compatible with this new  1709 Update.

Hi, Lenovo Ideapad Flex 14 model 20308. When I try to update from 1703 to 1709, the download of the update seems to go well but during installation it fails. One error message that I get is:0xC1900101-0x30017 I've spent hours researching this on the internet and trying various fixes including uninstalling anti-virus, using various Windows downloaders, update tools, installation from USB stick formatted to instal Windows.  So, two qustions:1. Is my machine compatable with this? This might be a dumb question because I looked on the Lenovo site that lists supported devices:https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/solutions/ht505322But, I don't know what Lenovo calls my machine. I would think "Flex 14" or "20308" but I don't see that anywhere on the Windows 1703 update which did work for me. 2. Hi,

I have agreed to repeated messages of my windows 10 to upgrade windows 10 creator.
I noticed that there was an error at the end of the upgrade process, naively I thought this would revert back automatically to previous state, but this is not the case.

Indeed my PC boots to a blue screen with following message:

But what's different to other posts is that I can not recover the situation with recovery tools*
- either the tools I acces through the F12 key,
- neither when booting a Windows 10 (not creator) usb install key (I select repair tool)

* I have not yet tried the options where I will lose my data.

The only thing I have been able to do is using the command line prompt to copy my data to a USB key, which is for sure a good thing.
HOWEVER my problem is how to retrieve my Microsoft Windows licence... indeed it is a legal one, and I really do not want to pay again!

So can one help me either:
1) reverting back to a working setup, or (I would really prefer getting this working, as you can guess !)
2) retrieve my windows licence (as you have noticed I have acces to the disk from the console).

I installed the Windows 10 Creator Update which updated my WIFI driver to 19.50.1.5.  I am on a Thinkpad S5 Yoga-15 - 20DQ. When I execute the Lenovo Companion and ask it about system updates, it says I need to install a back level driver v.18.21.0.2.   your support site says that my system supports the Windows 10 Creator Update.  I am having some issues with internet response time since this update.   Am I supposed to go back level on this driver?

I was installing the Windows 10 Creator Update (see reddit.com/r/windows) using the official ISO file as well as the Media Creating Tool downloaded from Microsoft website, but then it failed with error code 0xC1900101-0x20017 with a message :"The installation failed in the SAFE_OS phase with an error during BOOT operation". The update stuck at the booting splash screen, no hard disk activity, nothing moves. Tried a few times and tried different ways to install it, but nothing worked. I have enough space to install the update and the machine is having Ubuntu 16.04 as well as a recovery software on the system alongside Windows 10. No idea what is wrong. I was suspect BIOS or drivers for this issue. Does anyone encounter this problem?

Allright, I've been banging my head all morning on this wonderful monday mystery. We have got T460s i5 6200u specced machines for our clients that typically need docks, either the Pro or Ultra's.  We have had no issues with monitor output on the docks with Windows 10 enterprise 64bit with Anniversary. However, we are now starting to roll out our the imagages on the T460s laptops with  KMS server Enterprise Windows 10 with Creator Update. Since then, I have not been able to get any new T460s to reliably output via VGA, Displayport or DVI through an ultra or pro dock.  With the laptop lid closed and with full power running, and just the LCD laptop screen off, the docks refused to output to any monitor. Only when you slightly open the lid will the monitor output on the docks "wake up" finally up.  Monitor output does work if you have the laptop lid open when docking but neither are a real good solution The lenovo update has been run and  everything is updated included dock firmware.  I've disabled sleep mode just to make this easier with docking and undocking

Hi,

I have recently been pushed the Windows 10 Fall Creator Edition (Build 1709) and after installation I cannot get any HDMI output (connected to an Acer S240HL screen) - I see an "input not suppoorted" message on the Acer monitor. If I roll back to a pre-1709 build the display works.
I have the Intel HD 620 Video driver 22.20.16.4799 installed, although I also rolled this back to the current version on the Dell site (Intel-HD-Graphics-Driver_1H6KX_WIN_21.20.16.4627_A04.exe) before a second attempt at a reinstallation of Fall Creator.
Has anyone seen anything similar, or a workaround?

Hello everyone. Few days ago my laptop has made some update itself. And now I got few problems. First I noticed that my Google Chrome started to NOT respond. Then I couldn't even open any Folder on my PC. I tried to reset it with 10 second pressing on/off button.But nothing has changed. On the second day when I tried to zoom in on my Touch Screen, noticed that it doesn't work. Neither does keyboard on screen working. I have reinstalled my PC. Waited for half a day.... and it showed ALPS Apoint2k isn't working. I have tried everything. Downloading new drivers from manufacturer, scaning Windows and all that. Today I found out that there is no Tablet PC settings on my laptop anymore. When writing in Windows Search TABLET PC SETTINGS, it comes that " Tablet Buttons are not installed on this computer" "For more information,check the documentation that came with your computer or go to the computer manufacturer's website" Can anyone help me,please?((

Most drivers are easy to search from internet, so not worried about drivers. It has Windows 10 s version by default, but it should be easy to install normal Windows 10 version for it?

Similar to other models not listed, system was not tested by Lenovo, and updated drivers may not be available.
It does not however prevent users from exploring the said build but do take note of the limitations that can be a challenge.

I have received two updates from Windows Update in settings on Windows 10. They are for the Flex 4-1580 and they are Lenovo Firmware 2.22.0, which released on 2/23/2017,  which failed to install, and Lenovo Firmware 2.23.0, which released on 3/24/2017, which failed to install as well. I was wondering if anyone has faced the same issues, and if so, how you may have gone about to resolve it.

Hi!After upgrading to Windows 10 Fall Creators Update I experience the problem that the wwan card cannot connect anymore.When trying to connect the error message "Can`t connect to this network. Enter an APN and try again".I`ve tried serveral drivers for the wwan adapter but with no results. APN is set. Uninstalled and installed the wwan adapter, clear the apn and configured it new, installed fall creators update again, etc. nothing seemed to work.One odd think. If i disable Wifi and reboot the device the wwan card works. I can enable the wifi adapter and it still works. But if i boot with wifi and wwan adapter enabled, wwan doesnt work.Do you have any ideas what would help?! Update: WWAN Card Sierra Wireless EM7455

A real pain. I?ve had to roll back twice from previous attempts at this update. However *somehow* MS Update sneaked it onto my system again and yesterday I experienced the same problems. But, I couldn?t roll it back, that option was gone. I moved my data off, and replace the current system with a cloned drive of this system I had from last November. Worked out well, moved the data back over, etc. Also found a handy utility to hide the Fall Creator update in Windows Update and also FCUpdate 365 days. I am now stable again on v1703 Build 15063.877.
