I recommend downloading and running DAP. It can help sort out any driver and firmware related issues on your system

It's worked out well for many of us in the past.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloaddap.org. (This link will open the download page of DAP so you can save a copy to your computer.)

I've spent the last 7 hours trying to get my programs to work correctly, however it appears to be an Intel Graphics Driver issue. 4 (3?) programs I want to work:Blender (open source 3d modelling)Krita (open source painting)libGDX (open source Java game framework, based on GLFW)GLFW (open source C++ OpenGL library) I've read: https://developer.blender.org/T51521Which is the exact issue I have. This is aparently fixed in a new driver from Intel, but Lenovo hasn't released it for the Thinkpad X1 Yoga (2nd Gen) yet.Can those in the know please give an update for this?

Signed up for this specific topic; been searching everywhere with nothing panning out.  Conexant SmartAudio HD, Lenovo ThinkPad OneLink Dock, and Intel(R) Display Audio are my sound drivers/controllers.  Conexant is running computer speakers in HD, I have no speakers connected to Onelink, and my real question Intel(R) Display Audio the dedicated HDMI driver is running through Onelink to my LG OLED TV.   Problem is Intel(R) Display Audio doesnt support HD formats I know with certainty my TV does in fact in sound settings it excludes tens if not hundreds of supported formats and is maxed at 2 channels while TV is 4 naitive upscaled to 7.1.  Up until 3 days ago I new nothing of any of this and first suspected the Onelink which it may still be but I'm convinced its the dedicated HDMI driver Intel(R) Display Audio. Is there any driver or software that I can use for HDMI from the Onelink that is passed through a sound driver/controller similar to Intel High Definition Audio driver which would allow me to have HD sound (this search began because of a stutter in sound for .2-2 sec every 5-20 min on HD playback in Kodi (post buffer and nonexistant on playback)).  Thanks

Hello,     I was recently prompted to install the following updates but I am unsure as to what they mean and if it is absolutely necessary/recommended to install them. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.  Edit: My BIOS update also asked me to choose from two options: Update BIOS or Update Model number.  I have updated neither as I am unsure what it means and why I see that message. Can someone please tell me what it means? Thank you.

Hello, how is it possible from a manufacturer point of view that VGA driver is not update since 2014? At Lenovo site, the last Intel VGA for the laptop is from 8/10/2014 and ready for Windows 8.1. It is very annoying that Lenovo is not paying enough attention to this. At the very same time, I cannot install the Intel driver due to incompatibility. If Lenovo was not ready for Windows 10, why are we being offered to upgrade? Very unprofessional. Cheers.

This is meant as a bug report. Hopefully someone from Lenovo is reading this. I have a ThinkPad Yoga X1 (1st gen). A few days ago, the System Update utility updated the touchpad driver to version 19.3.4.119. I'm having 2 issues: 1) I do not use my touchpad and therefore disable it. However, every time my machine comes out of sleep or reboots, the touchpad is re-enabled. I disable it "correctly" by going to (Start Menu) -> (Mouse Settings) -> (Additional Mouse Options) -> (ThinkPad tab) -> Uncheck "Enable touchpad".  2) If I enable the touchpad and click the settings button next to "Enable touchpad", the Synaptics Control Panel window appears. This window is very unresponsive. And when I click on the "Click" tab, I get repeated errors that "The parameter value is invalid."  I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the driver to no avail. I cannot find an older version of the driver at Lenovo's website. Please fix.

Hello, my Thinkpad Yoga touchpad has decided to entirely stop working. Here's what happened: A couple of days ago, I re-start my computer. I have two problems i amd struggling to get support from Lenovo on..  1. When i connect my P40 Yoga to a 2nd Display and set my desktop to extended mode. When ever i right-click the 'context' menu that appears is not in the same location as where the stylus is. It appears to be offset based on the amount of total desktop space (becuase its extended) rather than just the actualy lenovo laptop screen. (which is the only screen thats compatible with the stylus). Any suggestions? 2. This one has only started happening recently. The Wacom service: Tablet Service for ISD Driver is constantly using 75% of my CPU and generally makes the device unusable. If i disable the service i am no longer able to use my stylus.. (which is the whole point for buying this laptop at $2000!). It continues to use 75% of my CPU no matter what i do (even when not using the stylus). It appears to use more and more memory over time as well.. Who should be fixing this Lenovo or Wacom?  ?

Intel updates their graphics driver recently which some nice fixes and some additional performance for some games/applications. When I tried to update the driver, the Intel tool gave a warning about installing the driver as the current driver in the laptop is configured by Lenovo. I am wondering if Lenovo will issue a new driver with their tuned-in parameters.. The current driver is based on old one and it is bad that we are missing those new enhancements. Thanks!

When I upgraded from Win 8.0 to Win 8.1 I lost control of brightness.  So display is always on Full 100% which hurts my eyes and burns through battery charges in less than 2 hours.   Lenovo solution was to rollback video driver for the Intel HD Graphics 4000 to the 8.0 version. Then I upgraded to Win 10 because Lenovo said it was compatible.   I totally lost the ability to adjust brightness again.  This time, when I tried to rollback to 8.0 video driver, I lost all screen functions and had to do a major reinstall of Windows! Here is the kicker, there appears to be no solution on the Lenovo website, but dig this, I was just told if I pay $69.00 for a software technician to take control of my machine, they can "surely fix it".  When I asked why won't they post the solution on the forums and FAQs for the Windows 10 users, the sales person (yes, more sales than tech support) repeated an endless script of my options to provide a credit card that will surely fix my problem as the software technicians are very familiar with the problem. So here is the ask:  Has anyone gained the secret knowledge that Lenovo has monetized to get their Windows 10 laptops to work right and are you willing to share it? P.S.  Lenovo Company Message Board Manager:  you may want to address this with your superiors as a serious customer relations fail.

So I don't use my thinkpad usualy in tablet mode, but today i did and when I tried to turn the laptop the screen of course remained still, so I started digging. There are a lot of solutions on the web for this, but none helped me so far, the interesting thing is that there is no option to enable or disable the auto-rotation in the settings or the action center. Updated all the drivers, also the hardware seems to work properly. I hope somebody encountered and solved this issue and can help me as well.Cheers, Dan.??

I have just bought this laptop a week before.  I've had this message saying "display driver stopped responding and has recovered" and the screen started working abnormal. I have been looking for and tried many solutions (from Lenovo Forum, Microsoft Support Site, Youtube) as listed below: 1. uninstall and update the drive from Intel. 2. Uninstall and update the drive from Lenovo Support Site3. Set TdrDelay to value 8 / 10  However, all methods failed.  Plus, a message " Application has been blocked from accessing Graphics hardware" sometimes, and my application froze for 11-2 seconds.  Could you please suggest a method to solve this critical issue?  My  GPU is Intel HD Graphics 520, and current driver version is 20.19.15.4404

I have two staff members with different Yoga models, but with the same pen issue. Say, for instance, OneNote is open. The pen doesn't draw or write, but it can select and still be recognized. When I try using an old stylus from an HP Elitebook, it works TOTALLY fine - even the button on the pen functions properly. This suddenly started after months of the Lenovo pens working fine. I thought maybe it was a driver issue, but it can't be as the HP pen works.... I'm thinking it's the pen itself just getting worn down? It looks okay though but may be just a little loose... Any help / direction would be greatly appreciated!

Disclosure:  I received these laptops from Lenovo as part of their advocacy program, so huge thanks to the folks over at Lenovo. I don't receive compensation for my review, and as always, all opinions are my own.

The ThinkPad X1 Yoga is first modern ThinkPad that I've ever owned.  I?ve been using Lenovo?s Ideapad lineup for a very long time, and while I?ve used ThinkPads in the past, the X1 Yoga will be my first personal ThinkPad that I own.  So how does it stack up to the Yoga 910?  Let?s find out! I have the i7 UHD model of the Yoga 910 and the i5 FHD model of the ThinkPad X1 Yoga.  I tried out the latest Yoga 920, but I haven?t tried the latest X1 Yoga yet? hopefully, I will!

Hardware & Design
Even though both laptops carry ?yoga? in their name, the hardware behind them is vastly different.  The ThinkPad X1 Yoga has the classic ThinkPad black design, which is made of a carbon-fiber hybrid for the top cover and a magnesium-PPS hybrid for the bottom cover.  The Yoga 910 has a similar design from the Lenovo?s Yoga lineup, with an aluminum build throughout.

The ThinkPad only comes in two colors: classic black and silver; whereas the Yoga has a whole suite of colors to choose from, such as silver, copper, bronze, and even a few exclusive designs, such as the Vibe designs for the Yoga 920 and the Star Wars themed designs for the Yoga 910.

I upgraded to Windows 10 on Thursday and all went well, this is however until I tried to project my screen to a second display and got a message saying that there was a problem with the graphics driver. So I checked Device Manager and I did indeed have a yellow warning triangle and the following message:

Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)

Now I've tried completely uninstalling the driver so that the laptop is only using the basic Windows VGA driver then reinstalling with the latest Windows 10 driver off the Lenovo support page. I have also tried the latest Windows 10 driver off the Intel site just to be sure but I keep getting the same error.

Any ideas?

A:Yoga 2 13 - Windows 10 - Intel Display Driver Error - HELP!!!!!

Hi have few issues when I have upgraded with Windows 10. So I have decided to do a full recovery:

SETTINGS
=> Update & security (windows update, recovery, backup)
=> Recovery / Get started (Reset this PC)
=> Remove everything (remove all your personnel files, apps and settings)
=> Only the drive where windows is installed
This did a full fresh installation of windows 10 on my C drive, and it kept all my personnel files (docs, pictures, video, etc) on my D drive.
now everything is working very good and fast. this may be the final solution for you, but at least this will setup a clean windows 10 on your yoga without any interference with some lenovo previous apps setting.

Anyway I have attached my current setting for my display, hopping this will help:

Hi, I want to upgrade my Windows to the latest update (October 2018). But upon reading the Lenovo support website, it seems that it's advisable to upgrade Intel Graphics Driver to version 24.20.100.6286 and newer which is available with Intel Audio Driver 10.25.0.10. I have tried updating my drivers through Lenovo Vantage, but that only installed the Nvidia VGA driver, not the Intel one. I also checked the available drivers on Lenovo support page but the Intel Graphics Driver version I need is not listed. Am I missing anything? Is there a timeline on when that driver is going to come out? Thanks.

There are three other drivers present for DPTF, but the DPTF Manager has issue. If I double-click on the entry, a message displays saying the device cannot start (error 10) and the process hosting the driver for this device has terminated. I have tried updating the driver to no avail. I have also downloaded the DPTF driver from the Lenovo website. However, when I try to install it a message displays saying the Realtek bluetooth device will not work on this version of Windows. For information, every chipset driver reports this message on installation.I would be grateful of some help to get the driver for DPTF Manager installed/working. Before the clean install of W10, I am pretty sure all was OK with DPTF drivers.Hope someone can point me in the right direction. Thank you.

The newest Intel Video Driver that Lenovo Companion has made available (21.20.16.4678) has an issue ive found that wasnt present in the previous one, and is not present in a newer version (22.20.16.4718) installed automatically through Windows 10 after uninstalling the driver through "Add or remove programs". The bug is that certian (maybe all?) OpenGL applications seem slightly zoomed in. I tested this with Genymotion VM's, after the install of the new driver they all seemed to run as if the window border diddnt exist, clipping the edges of what is shown in the window (much more noticable at the top due to the title bar). Ive restored from backups and manually installed that driver from Lenovos driver download page for this system and the same issue occures. While its possible its an incompatibility with that software, it is not present in the newer drivers (this "new" driver is actually alwready old) so it might be worth pushing a newer driver.

Just curious, why is the new Thinkpad X1 Yoga I7, 16 GB RAM, 1 TB SSD, FHD about $1,000 more than the similarly equipped commercial Lenovo 910?

Is it the ThinkPad brand name? The eraser nubbin? The 2 combined?

Just curious.

I've got a friend who needs a new laptop. She likes the touch/fold aspect of my 1st gen Thinkpad X1 Yoga. Do you all think she would be happy with the commercial Yoga 910?

Any real reason to get the new plain FHD ThinkPad X1 Yoga instead of the similarly equipped commercial Yoga available at Best Buy besides spending an extra $1000 for the ThinkPad brand name?

I've owned 6 various ThinkPads since 2011 FWIW. I get it, they're cream of the crop. But I kinda got sticker shock when I just priced out a plain FHD (and we need nothing more) X1 Yoga. About  $2,800, wow!

Opinions and advice -- no spam please (thank you!) -- welcome.

Best to everyone...

A:Why is the ThinkPad X1 Yoga $1,000 more than a similar Yoga 910?

@Jelks, The biggest difference I see between the X1 Yoga (2nd) and the Yoga 910 is active pen support which seems to be missing from the 910. You could use a capacitive stylus, but expect fingertip resolution, not pinpoint, and no pressure-sensitivity. Fewer USB ports: no HDMI or MicroSD; no Thunderbolt. No TPM module, if you need to store encrypted creditials, e.g., for BitLocker. Not sure about battery life; they claim up to 9 hours of local video for the 910 vs. up to 15 of MobileMark for the X1. Not an apple-to-apple comparison. You're not going to get the (soon to be patched, at least for now) security hole that is Intel's vPro management tech. You may not get Windows 10 Pro, possibly just Home (but you could always give Microsoft the money to upgrade if you need BitLocker or Remote Access). You're not going to get all the "mil-spec" design and testing etc, but if it's a personal machine, you're probably going to avoid abusing it. As you suggest, the "wave" keyboard -- including the trackpoint "eraser nubbin" -- is definitely going to be more expensive on the ThinkPad than the plain Yoga keyboard. I used two generations of ThinkPads (T61p and W520), but about 3 years ago I switched to a Dell XPS 13. A year or so ago, I ordered a X1 Yoga 1st gen for my wife and she likes it very much, so I am pretty familiar with the design and capabilities. TLDR: I think most people would be happy with the 910 vs. X1 unless they want the active pen. Als... I looked for similar postings that may have solved this issue but did not find them so if I missed it, I apologize.  After visiting the IT help desk at my university several times as certain programs such as Spotify desktop, Zoom, Skype, SPSS Amos Graphics (a statistical modeling program) would open but display a black screen, the technicians realized that the Intel 520 Graphics Driver appeared to cause an issue once it advanced past a particular version of the software. They rolled back the graphics driver and everything was working great until last night my computer wanted to update Windows 10 which automatically updated the graphics driver and eliminated the option to roll back to a previous version of the graphics driver. Now I can't use a significant number of the programs on my laptop.  I could rollback the Windows update but that doesn't seem helpful overall. It seems silly to keep having to roll back the graphics driver when the Windows update seems to be forcing it to be more up-to-date. On an Intel forum it seems like Intel is saying that Lenovo has tested it and says everything is OK, but that doesn't seem to be the case.  Any ideas or links to solutions would be most appreciated! Best wishesMandy

I am panicking as I need my program to work tomorrow morning at 9 AM in Scotland. I updated the video driver as reccommended by Lenovo and now my programs won't work. I contacted support at PsychoPy and they said the driver wasn't working with OpenGL 2.0. The driver only works with OpenGl 3.0+. I tried rolling back the driver, but it didn't help. I need to get this fixed today. Any ideas on what I can do to get the driver to work with OpenGL 2.0 or what driver I should install instead from Intel to get PsychoPy to work again. I tried contacting Intel but they aren't open until 2 PM tomorrow (GMT) which is too late. I tried contacting Lenovo, but they wouldn't tell me what version to download without me paying money. I don't understand why. I have a Lenovo Yoga 3 with Intel hardware. Can anyone help? Thanks!

I have a Lenovo Yoga Pro and have been using the wireless with no problems.

This evening I was on my computer and watching a video.  Then suddenly I had no connection.

I went to log on again, and found that the Wireless Connections showed as "Unavailable".  Now I know there is a connection since I am currently on it on another computer.

Using the Troubleshoot an error was found:  "The Intel(R) Wireless-N 7250 adapter is experiencing driver or hardware related problems.  And the system could not fix it.

Some of the driver information:
Network adapter Wi-Fi driver ---
Intel Wireless N 7260
Version 16.0.0.62
Inf File Name  c:\windows\inf\netwewo2.inf
Inf File Date   August 22, 2013
Instance Status Flags  0x1802400
Device Manager Status Code   43
Iftype     71
Physical Media Type    9

I checked the wireless status using Network -- Airplane Mode.  Airplane mode is OFF.  Wireless Devices shows only Bluetooth which is ON.  Shouldn't WiFi show here???

I need help to get back on the internet.

Can anyone suggest what to do?

Oh... I turned the computer totally off and then back on already.  No difference.

Thank you for anyone who can help me with this.
