Viber PC system requirements

Q: Viber PC system requirements

Recently released Viber desktop for PC is rather disappointing with their support info. The system requirements page has no info on the required hard drive space needed. I am currently installing this app on a lenovo G560 running windows 8 pro x86 and so far over 0.5GB has been downloaded and the installation has not even started. Can someone who has this software inform me on how much HDD space is required for download /installation /running of this application?

Preferred Solution: Viber PC system requirements

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

128 is Microsoft's estimate of the minimum amount of RAM needed for XP."Minimum" seems to mean that it will run but you won't be able to do much.More RAM would be the answer, IMO...but that's going to possibly be held back by the system/motherboard. And he also has a Celeron processor (which, in its early days, was deemed by many to be crippled).A newer motherboard and CPU...and better/newer RAM...would be my recommendation. Total cost of an inexpensive board/CPU bundle would be less than $100. A new motherboard/CPU and RAM basically give you a new, much faster/better system for a minimum amount of bucks.Example: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/Se...08&CatId=14 AND http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16820231106Louis

Hi All, I am exploring the possibility of trying Microsoft Security Essentials, and notice in the system requirements that the prefered browsers are either IE V6 or later, and Firefox V2 or later. Does this mean that other browsers aren't compatible? I find it hard to believe that Microsoft would confine communication to two browsers, but I thought I'd ask here. At the moment, Chrome is my default browser and Cyberfox is my standby. If you are or have been a user, what is your opinion of it? Thanks for any input in advance.

Right, but having Windows 7 you will have some form of Internet Explorer lying around in the shell.
It will work and run fine. You've looked in to the system requirements a bit too much.

A:System Requirements Lab

This is a free to use program often installed on systems. This is what the company claims:This site provides a One-Click solution that looks at your computer's hardware and system software to determine whether or not your current system can run a product. Each of your computer's components is evaluated to see how well it meets the minimum and recommended requirements for specific products. Recommendations are made on how to update or upgrade each component which does not meet the listed requirements. Sometimes, a simple, free software download is all that is needed. Sometimes you'll find that you need a different video card to fully experience what the game has to offer.http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/referrer/srtestI'd leave it alone unless you're having problems? Is this a used system you bought from another?

This is a general question for a specific situation. My computer is about three years old and only has a 2.2 Ghz P4 processor. I've upgraded to a gig of ram and I have a 256Mb video card, however it's only PCI as I don't have AGP or PCI-E slots. Needless to say it's enough to run most games on the lowest settings. I nearly had a heart attack when I read that the new Neverwinter Nights 2 game that I have been waiting for forever requires a 2.4 Ghz P4 processor. My question is: What will happen if I purchase this game and attempt to run it. Will it be slow and choppy or will it simply not work at all? My only other options are a new processor or a whole new computer. This I can't afford. Thanks for your help!

A:System Requirements

Hello there. This are Windows 7 system requirements for Windows 7.
Copyed from here

If you want to run Windows 7 on your PC, here's what it takes:
1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor
1 gigabyte (GB) RAM (32-bit) or 2 GB RAM (64-bit)
16 GB available hard disk space (32-bit) or 20 GB (64-bit)
DirectX 9 graphics device with WDDM 1.0 or higher driver

But this are just minimum system req. Of cource if you want to play games, work with big programs like Maya,SolidWorks,AutoCAD/CAM etc... you'll need more that 4gb ram memory and also fast cpu. (that also costs more money. )
Give us more info about what you want to work with your pc.

Hi, I am new here and I hope I have got the correct thread. I'm not all that savvy.

I run a pub and use a Toshiba satellite laptop. L670 1hz
It has an intel pentium cpu - P6200 @ 2.13 GHz
Memory - 4Gb
with a 64 bit OS

Windows 7 home premium - service pack 1

In the past, this has coped well with my needs but I am now finding it incredibly and infuriatingly slow.
I understand that the applications I use (Paint Shop) Excel, Word, Payroll etc, along with a couple of pages open on google will all take their toll on the processing speed. Many of these are open together as I flit from job to job. Even Excel is now telling me that I have to close down pages before I can open any more.
My question is, should I go for a tower system, do they generally cope better and would this be the cheaper option and if so, what should I look for.

Thanks in advance

Hey guys,

So I just have a quick question. I was looking around and I found the system requirements for D3. I have already pre ordered this game, so I'm really hoping my system can run it. Even if I have to run it at the lowest performance I'd still be satisfied.

D3 Requirements:

Fully-updated Windows® XP/Vista/7 with DirectX 9.0c
Intel Pentium® D 2.8 GHz or AMD Athlon™ 64 X2 4400+ (or better)
NVIDIA® GeForce® 7800 GT or ATI Radeon™ X1950 Pro (or better)
1 GB RAM (with Windows XP)or 1.5 GB RAM (with Vista or Windows 7)
12 GB available Hard Drive space, DVD-ROM drive (for retail disc versions only)
Broadband Internet connection
Video settings reaching a minimum resolution of 1024x768

My system:
Windows 7 Home premium 64-bit Operating System
Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 CPU @ 1.07 GHz
My graphics is sort of confusing to me. I have the nVidia Optimus technology. So my regular graphics is the Intel(R) HD Graphics. And the nVidia is GeForce GT 335M. Sorry if I confused any one
Installed Memory (RAM) 4.00GB (3.80GB usable)
500GB Hard Drive

I believe that's it. My main concern about it all is the graphics card and also the processor. It says you need 2.8 GHz and mine is only up to 1.07 GHz. Is that going to be an issue?

A:Diablo 3 System Requirements

Based on your specs and the requirements you have listed, I don't think you will have any problems running the game. You may not be able to max it out but I don't see why it shouldn't run at around low to medium settings. The tech listed in those system requirements is pretty old now.

i know Microsoft hasen't released this info yet and will be released around summer or slightly later.

i'm guessing at least 1gb ram, graphics and ram would be one of the main issues and maybe the AGB/PCI-Express Slot.

A:System Requirements For Vista?

I'll be interested in what others say, too, but from what I've read -

on an identically configured PC (or a dual boot system),

and with proper XP and Vista drivers, running the equivalent versions of the two OS's - like XP Media Center Edition and Vista Premium - you may find Vista to be a little slower or a little faster than XP. Usually, a little slower over all, but the efficiency of the drivers may make a difference, too.

Most reviews I've read point out that Vista will make good use of additional RAM, too, so you may want to add more to your system, but I'd wait until you get to test it yourself on your system. Also, don't forget, Vista can use certain USB flash drives that are Ready Boost capable to somewhat increase system RAM, too, so that might enable you to test out the effective speed increase of additional RAM.

That's my take.

So i have read the requirements like 1000000000 times and I just dont understand what desktop would play sims 3 properly so I can at least have it on medium settings

System requirements:

So far I have found 2 desktop's I think would play sims 3

But the 2nd one I would need to get a graphics card as well and I was thinking...

So my questions are:

1) Would the first desktop work?
2) How well would it play sims 3?
3) Would the second desktop work, with the graphics card at playing sims 3?
4) How well would it play sims 3?
5) Which one is the better option (plays sims 3 the best)?

A:Sims 3 system requirements HELP!!!

The first computer will be able to play sims 3 easily (probably with performance and graphics on max).

The second computer will have enough processing speed and memory to play it (probably on medium) if you put a decent graphics card in it.

The graphics card you listed to go with the second computer should keep you going for a few years at least. It has easily enough power to run sims 3. If you had to upgrade anything later on it would probably be the processor.

If you don't mind forking out the extra money, I would suggest the first computer. It will run sims 3 without issues and will probably keep you going for a few years to come.

Hi all,

I'm looking at purchasing a Gateway ID58 series (http://www.gateway.com/systems/product/529668296.php) with the specs in my profile. In the field I work however, I'll need to be able to boot either Linux or Windows Vista. I may also be running CAD or other design software. I'm not positive of the max memory of the Gateway ID series, but it maybe 4 GB unless I can get a hold of 4 GB soDIMM modules. What I really want to know though is if 4 GB will be enough to be able to multiboot. And, if it's not, what is a good amount? Anyone know of any good Gateways for this? Thanks in advance.

A:RAM Requirements for Multiboot System

Multiboot is not affected by RAM amount. It has nothing to do with it. The amount of RAM you need is the maximum that would be required by any of the booted OS's. A booted OS has no connection whatever to any other OS's on the machine that are not booted.

If you have a 32-bit operating system, it will not support 4 GB's or over, so installing it would be a waste of time, electricity, and money.

I have read reviews about a plug-in offered by Alienskin Software that emulates different types of film for digital photographs and am seriously considering buying it. I have an AMD Turion 64 with 1 GB RAM, WinXP, and would be using the plug-in in conjunction with Photoshop Elements 3.0. However, the system requirements for processor speed says 2.0GHz and my processor is rated at 1.6 GHz. Would this prevent my computer from running the plug-in, or would it just run slowly? If anybody has an answer, please respond.

A:System Requirements Question

Are you referring to "Exposure"?In any case, minimum system requirements usually mean if you meet them, at best it will run slowly. Some programs check hardware configuration during setup and will not permit installation if system requirements are not met. You simply get a message stating so. Some don't and just let you do the install anyway. Before you fork out any cash only to find it won't install, or it's a real slug, try the free demo first. As a general rule, if you don't meet the minimum system requirements, it's best to just take a pass and perhaps find something else.

1 GB of RAM (32-bit)/2 GB of RAM (64-bit)
16 GB of available disk space (32-bit)/20 GB (64-bit)
DirectX 9 graphics device with Windows Display Driver Model 1.0 or higher driver
By today?s hardware standards, these requirements are pretty tame.

Placing this here for anyone who may be looking for it.

Hello, I want to buy a new graphics card and I was looking and apparently my system power supply is 305 watts, while the card says it requires 350W, will this really matter? or would it be okay to use it anyways, this really doesnt make alot of sence to me as my system supports PCIe 16x and the last generation of the card says it requires 400W, I was thinking maybe these are just recommended guidelines, but I dont want to buy the card and then my system dies so.. Yeah, thats my question

BTW the card I was to buy is a 512MB GeForce 7950GT from BFG

hey all, just wanted to say what an amazing support forum this is for vista, just a good read over the tutorials section managed to fix/correct everything i wanted.needed after installing vista

anyways, found a nice little website to see if you can play a specific game on your system. i know you can check the game website for minimum requirements and all but for the lazy ones like me, just in couple of clicks you can see if your computer is good for the game. another thing that was handy to me was that it shows the minimum requirements of a game and you system specs on a bar from worst to best, gives me an idea if i can push the in-game settings to maximum or not ie. graphics =)

Personally I'd have a minimum of 2GB RAM and decent sized HDD. Here are the Minimum System Requirements for Windows 7 via MS

Also really depends on what you are going to be doing with your computer? Basic web and Office or Gaming as well. Decent PSU as well is always required for any PC.

Since I'm not what would be classified as a 'hard-core gamer' I just want to clear something up. I keep seeing this PC game called Crysis and wonder if my system has the minimum requirements. The Crysis requirements are the following for Vista:

OS - Windows XP or Windows Vista
Processor - 3.2 GHz or faster (Vista)
Memory - 1.5 GB RAM (Vista)
Video Card -256 MB
Hard Drive - 12GB
Sound Card - DirectX 9.0c compatible

My system has the following:
Intel Core 2 Quad CPU Q9400 @ 2.66GHz
ATI Radeon HD 3600
(it is Vista 64-Bit)

The thing I'm questioning is the 3.2GHz vs my 2.66GHz. Since I have a quad CPU, do I have more than enough processor speed even if it is lower than the 3.2? Or, is Crysis basing this on a quad core CPU?

Thanks for any help.

A:Crysis System Requirements

i ran crysis on my 2.4 gig quad core fine before i overclocked it , crysis is VERY gpu limited , if you have a low end gpu (as you do , no offence) you'll struggle to run crysis on anything but low graphics ,with that little vram your card will struggle to hold the textures , it'll stutter if you try and set it all too high

where the cpu comes in is for the advanced physics used in game (wind affecting tree movement , the ability to demolish almost every building you come across amongst many other things) this part of the engine is very dependent on a high end fast cpu but all this can be turned off in the options , your cpu however will be ok id say

Crysis brings any rig to its knees , it set the standard when it was released , but after playing the game you soon find out its all pretty graphics and very limited repetetive gameplay.
