Need support to solve the problem in libavformat, which led to a seeking problem in M

Q: Need support to solve the problem in libavformat, which led to a seeking problem in M

Im working with the new MPlayer2.exe under windows in slave mode. I really need a solution for this seeking problem in MPlayer2, when seeking in MPEG1 program stream files.

I want to do a precise seek in a MPEG1 program stream files(m2v video with mp2 audio), using the new MPlayer2.exe precise seek command, seek <value> [type] [hr-seek].

The way I used the command is,
seek <value> [type] [hr-seek]
type = 2 is a seek to an absolute position of <value> seconds.
hr-seek = 1 means force precise seek if possible.
In my C code I gave the command with the <value> for the time position as a double, calculated for the required frame. ("seek %f 2 1", fTime).
Eg- seek 4.28 2 1

This works for MPEG2 program stream files(m2v video with mp2 audio), and other types like .AVI.
But for MPEG1 program stream files it jumps only to the key frames and not to the exact frame as expected.

I have uploaded MPEG1 program stream sample files at,
http://uploading.com/files/46f51fcc/Mpeg1_mid.mpg/
http://uploading.com/files/aeda943b/Mpeg1_small.mpg/

When I asked about this from Mplayer2 support team, they told me that , When explicitly
specifying --demuxer=lavf the libavformat demuxer is successfully
opened, but it then fails to do time-based seeking properly with this
file (the only position it successfully seeks to is the beginning).
http://lists.mplayer2.org/pipermail/mplayer2-users/2011-December/000039.html
When I asked further, Mplayer2 replied me as,
It's a problem in libavformat, not directly in mplayer2 code.

So, could please help me with this? Can I get a solution to my problem through libavformat ? Will you be able to correct libavformat library to do time-based seeking properly with MPEG1 program stream files?

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Would someone please explain to me why I can't sem to get any technical support on what should be a simple question for so-called "Technical Support" people. I've noticed that every other question seems to be gettin replies EXCEPT mine.

Is this such a stupid question that NO ONE wants to give me an answer. I thought this was supposed to be a place where a person can get a FREE answer to technical support questions???

Please help me figure out why my computer freezes up everytime I try and play my audio files. Is that such a hard question???

A:Seeking Technical Support!!!!

People respond to question they have an answer for.
This is a free site, in other words, people donate their time and expertise to help others. If someone would have had the time and answer you would have gotten it. Sometimes you need to be patient and wait for a response.
If you don't get a responce and your question moves to the bottom of the page then reply to it yourself to bring it back up to the top
As of now I see you are being helped by eddie

Some body can help me to solve this silly problems?
By some reason recently, I have to use MS Outlook (XP SP2) in my office
which I'm not very farmiliar with (I use Outlook Express before).
Here's my problem ---
I want to set my out going message with my personal text signature
and do not including the original message text when replying or forwarding
the incoming message. But I find out if I reply or forward a message who
is in HTML format, my signature not been attched on to my message.
Only when I reply or forward to a message in other format, I can get my
signature attached.
There is a way I can get my signature attached on replying and forwarding
to all messages, that is - I have to including the original message text into
my out going message - but I hate this way. (Outlook Express never has
this problem before).
Any one can give me some guidance?
Your response is highly appreciated!! Thanks!!!

Microsoft's HowTo-Outlook
MS-Office: Using the Microsoft Outlook Personal Folders Backup Tool
About the Outlook PST-File
Clearing Outlook's Most Recently Used (MRU) lists

That Outlook Personal Folders Backup Tool is outstanding, but note it only works with Office 2002 and up. We install it on all our Office 2003 desktops and have users backup their PST files to their personal backup folder on our Fileserver. I have my PST backup set to every 3-days. Only 2 days of email lost if my desktop crashes.

Once installed, you'll see Backup listed in the File menu.

One note, you have to set the backup path & file name for each PST. So if you have more than just Outlook.PST (like an Archive.PST which you should have), you need to set the backup path for each in the backup [Options] dialog.

Over the years, I've had a number of Windows PCs with their attendant mouses. Until very recently, there has been no great problems with getting the mouses to work flawlessly with these devices. I plug them in, the mouse will operate without difficulty.

Not so in recent days.

PROBLEM: I've tried a number of cordless mouses (and one that was corded) in recent days on my 2 1/2 .year-old Windows 10 (64 bit) OS PC (my system specs are appended to this text). All these mouses have been "buggy". In particular:

* the movement of the pointer on the screen becomes difficult to control,

* the number of clicks required to open any object/icon on the device is
larger-than-normal (it shouldn't be more than 2 clicks, but, instead,
many more clicks than this are usually required).

* these problems are themselves inconsistent. At first, the mouses behave more-or-less normally, but, as time goes on, they become increasingly erratic and difficult to use.
ATTEMPTED SOLUTIONS: I've tried these frequently-recommended solutions...

- Adjusting Window 10's Mouse Settings,

- Repeatedly virus-scanning my computer (using Norton Security) which declares it virus-free,

- Repeatedly rebooting both my computer and the mouse(s) by either turning them ''off'', then ''on'', or by hitting the reset button (where present),

- Using mouses with fresh batteries, correctly installed,

- changing the USB port for the ... Read more

You likely aren't getting any response (to your multiple posts across the intrawebs) because no one knows.

Based on my limited knowledge, I'd say it's an app or codec issue. Especially as you infer it was working before you changed/updated the media player.

Hello Bleepers and Bloopers,

Today I accidentally installed some malware by way of one of those illegitimate "Download" links on a zip share site. Quickly realizing what I had done, I went to delete the programs from my computer (containing malware such as "OptimizerPro"), but even after I had done this, I found that my google homepage had been replaced with a screen similar to this:

and all of my extensions had been deleted. After trying unsuccessfully to delete some of the extensions the malware had implanted (such as "SearchNewTab") I discovered this website and followed directions given to someone describing a similar problem. The instructions had me first run AdwCleaner, which successfully purged the extensions and restored the homepage to Google. After I ran AdwCleaner however, my internet drastically slowed down (it took me 2 full minutes to complete a google search). Getting frustrated rather quickly (I'm a college student and this is finals time) I said 'bleep it' and ran ComboFix without consulting a professional first. I am very happy to say that ComboFix did not create any problems for me whatsoever, and now my internet is running much smoother! However I still am having a problem I have been having since the initial download of the malware. Whenever I conduct a google search, I am briefly redirected through "websearch.searchguru.info" before my search is completed. How can I fix this?

After many attempts, the disk spun and completed the installation and after another restart the os didnt start up and i got a horrible STOP blue screen.

So I assumed twas the optical drive to be at fault. I tryed many methods on the internet to install windows via usb stick... i got some to work, but the nasty stop blue screen continued to appear.

So i gave up took it to a laptop repair and hoped liked hell it was only the optical drive and that my usbing attempts just weren't working correctly and thats wh... Read more

Hello, I need help. I am not greatly experienced, but not completely clueless, in the world of computer building. I now have what I am assuming is a huge problem and am unsure as how to proceed, I have attempted to look for similar issues and their resolutions here, but feel I need to seek some specific advice.

I should tell you my full story:
I built my first computer with some remote assistance of a friend, at the end of college (ie early this summer), and it worked perfectly and all was mostly right in my world. The processor gave me weird readings, but continued to function as if it weren't. I was attempting a few different programs to figure out what it was about, my processor fan is powered and functionally stuck in place and I cannot get it off the motherboard. It functions but often tells me that the temperature is *below* an acceptable margin which neither I nor my friend had ever heard of as being a problem; but since it worked consistently I was not terribly worried.

I moved home in late august, and became concerned that my computer did not travel well as it did not make it through boot up. I tried the easy thing: I cleaned it with condensed air, and it worked again (woo). I downloaded a MS XP update, it installed, I checked my email, and then it shut itself off. It didn't start again for about ten minuets, then did, loaded, I attempted to go about my business and shut itself down again. I have had problems with poorly installed updates ... Read more

A:Seeking Advice (desperately) on First Build Problem

What do you mean by "condensed air" that you used to clean it. Was it treated with difluoroethane gas to prevent the creation of static electricity... as untreated air can ruin a number of electronic components, permanently.

Always suspect the power supply, then the CPU setup, then memory.

Other than that, I would strip down your system to the most simple possible connection... board, power supply, one memory module, and an info source... hard drive, floppy drive, External USB drive?
Inspect every component carefully, slowly. Even the most obvious ideas.
Have you bent a pin on the cpu?
Have you allowed some non-descript cable become loose?
Have you inadvertently plugged a cable into the incorrect port?
Is a cable to the power supply loose at the case or at the wall?
Don't laugh. It is usually something stooped you overlooked out of frustration.

Is your power source to that socket good, or have you inadvertently caused a power switch at the box to switch to the neutral location?
Use logic. Write out your plan before you start.
The idea is to test one approach. then another.
You don't have to worry about maximum power. Try any other power supply.
Simple, simple, simple tests... then add or change to keep it simple.
What do you want it to do. Turn on.
What causes it to not turn on? Bad memory module. Bad connection. Bad setup on your CPU. Bad power supply.
There are so many things that go wrong on new equipment... they are never tested adequately a... Read more

Hello Folks.
First I appreciate any help with this problem.

I worked on my brothers computer who had a myriad of spyware and redirecters.
I ran HiJackthis - deleted what I saw to be suspects, ran S&D and adaware and deleted all that they found.
Computer is much better - however there is one annoying problem I cannot seem to figure out - "svchost.exe" upon bootup will run at 99-100%, and the box will take at least 5 minutes to complete boot-up unless you kill the process - then everything is fine...however about every 10 minutes or so it will re-fire and run at that high usage again. I have a feeling it is tied with his Symantec (which I hate)
Of course I see that svchost.exe is in the HiJackthis - however since it is a valid process, will deleting it hurt?

Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum. I have a bit of a problem that I hope can be solved. I use AVG and it keeps reporting that I have been infected by a trojan horse and flagging up a .dll file in the system32 folder - sertgs.dll.

I hope the title doesn't turn anyone off to reading this. I think the person who can solve my problem should win... some huge award, as I have yet to find someone can help me... ^_^

Here we go,

About 6 months ago, I got windows XP, and built myself a new computer. Before that, I had been using DSL provided by Earthlink, and I continue to use it to this day. My problem started a few months after I got my computer, and it's kinda hard to describe. The best way to describe the problem is "getting disconected from the Internet every 10 seconds for 1 milisecond." I use a router, so I never actually 'connect' to Earthlink to get to the internet, I am always on, but it seems as though I get short lapses in my internet, causing me to
- be kicked off aim every 5 seconds,
- have to refresh a lot of webpages becuase they just don't load, or they load for a sec then IE gives me an error saying it couldn't find the server, or that the page could not be found, (the detect network settings page)
- get booted from all multiplayer games
- spend hours on the phone with the motherboard company, network card company, ISP, all to no avail. Generally it happens when I am on AIM, (aol instant messenger) and I can still see people online, but when I try to check their profiles, I get a "Please wait......" sign, and I eventually get a window from AIM that says I've been disconnected and it has to reconnect. Lately, it's been happening ... Read more

A:A problem that no one can seem to solve... help?

Have you got a UPS? The symptoms you describe could be down to a momentary fluctuation in the power supply. I would get one and connect both the PC and the router to it. Are the other PCs that aren't affected on the same ring main? If they are it could be a fault with the PC or router's own PSU.

Other than that it has to be a process of elimination. Start with the physical hardware, including the cable and the port on the router, and try swapping out for known good items. Exhaust all those possibilities, then update all relevant drivers etc.

Does the router do DHCP? Its a long shot but check that the DHCP lease period isn't set incorrectly (to 10 seconds).

Do you have any other devices on this network segment that may be broadcasting and saturating the network bandwidth for a ms every 10 seconds? Or any other software on the PC that might be doing the same?

Hello hiamer and welcome to Seven Forums.

Try running a System File Checker scan from an elevated command prompt (Option Two, this tutorial.)

SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

If any problems are found run the scan three times rebooting after each scan. Let us know if it helps.

Also, what antivirus are you running?

Hi, i have roughly the same problem as you, since I installed W10 on my laptop K550L Asus, i can't turn off completly my computer, i have always the del and the ventilator still going on. The same problem happens when the computer try to go on sleep mode i can't get it out, as it can't get to it completly.

It is really irratating, i don't want to go back to W8.1 as W10 is really useful but at the same time this is really making me loose time everytime as i have to shut it down by force (pushing long power button).

So i'm waiting for solutions or how you solved it ?

PS : I already tried almost everything, installed all graphics drivers (Intel and NVidia), one problem migth be the fact that the BIOS uptate on asus Website (ASUSTeK Computer Inc. -Support- Driver & Tools - K550LA) last only from 2014/09/15 so no Windows Adaptation ...

Thanks in advance, i am kinda desesperate ... first time i sign up in a Forum like that as i always managed in the past to find solutions by myself but now it seems i need you guys Impress me

A:Having Same Problem don't know how to solve it !

Hello polo59100 and Welcome to PCHF

It is always best to start your own thread -as you see xllasha does not know how the issue was resolved.

For starters, are the graphics drivers from ASUS or not?
A most common mistake is to use the drivers from NVidia/AMD/Intel and not the manufacturer of the Notebook.

Windows cannot load the locally stored profile. Possible causes of this error include insufficient security rights or a corrupt local profile. If this problem persists, contact your network administrator.

DETAIL - Error performing inpage operation.

A:how to solve this problem

You user name profile has become corrupted. Usually when this happens, Windows loads a Default user profile. You will be missing your personal files and icons on the desktop.
Go to Start/Run and type control userpasswords and press enter. Create a new user with Admin rights. Log out of the temp user account you are in and log in as the new user account you created . Now go to C:\Documents and Settings Open up your old user profile name folder. Here, Copy the Desktop, Favorites, My Documents and Start Menu folders and Paste them into your new profile folder overwriting the empty ones.

Hey guys,

A few weeks ago I posted about problems I was having whenever I put in a decent graphics card, that after a few minutes of gaming the computer would completely freeze up, and I would have to reboot. This got very annoying, and I tried a few different graphics cards, and it tends to be the better ones that are worse, as when I used a Radeon 9200SE, there wasn't much crashing at all, only a few infrequent freezes where the screen went completely black. I eventually took out my graphics card altogether and had to live with onboard graphics.

I was advised to get a new PSU by Techspot members... Mine was 300W and these are the specs that were on the sticker...

AC INPUT : 220V -240V ~/3.5A 50Hz
DC OUTPUT : +5V == /20A MAX -12V == /0.5A MAX +12V1 == /10A MAX
+5V (5B) == /2A MAX =3.3V ==/20A MAX +12V2 == /13A MAX

Combined Power on +3.3V and +5V rails shall not exceed 130W.
Combined Power on 12V1 and 12V2 rails Shall not exceed 20A.
At ambient 25 degrees C Total Power Output shall not exceed 300W.
At ambient 50 degrees C Total Power Output shall not exceed 270W.

Apparently this was not enough to run the better graphics cards -- I originally bought an Acer T135 and this is the PSU that came with it....put in another 512mb stick of RAM and then tried to put in a graphics card, which resulted in this crashing when playing games. I think the PSU was chosen only to run the components that were in the system already, and little more.

I have now purchase... Read more

A:Will this definitely solve my problem?

I would say that your PSU was the problem. 10A on the +12V rail simply isnt near enough juice for today's systems. in fact I have often sen new systems that wouldnt even boot with a power supply that delivered that few amps on the +12V rail.

I have never heard of a sansun so I cant tell you if that PSU will solve your problem or not. all PSU's are not created equal. a Low quality PSU does NOT deliver it's advertised wattage. Your better off sticking with known quality PSU's. PCP&C, Antec, or Enermax.

Okay, there's this game called .hack//chat that I haven't played for so long. It's just a like a chat room but with sprites and its flash based..I think. I just got vista and now I can't change my sprite's avatar because the extension of the avatar file is very rare. Before when i was on XP, I would just click on the file and it would upload onto the flash game screen..now when i do it I get an error about the 'Set Association' thing. I went to my control panel and set the extension to open up in Internet explorer..but I still keep getting the error message.
the file's extension is .mgt
I really want to play this again, i'm willing to try anything..so please help.
Thanks.

A:A problem even I can't solve..please help :)

This might seem like a stupid question, but have you installed Flash for IE? If not, do so and it should work. Also, have you tried it in Firefox yet or is that what you tried first? If not, try it in FF and again, you'll need to d/l Flash for FF as well.

Here's the link for Flash for FF: http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/down...Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash&P2_Platform=Win32
Here it is for IE: http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/down...ash&P2_Platform=Win32&P3_Browser_Version=MSIE

For the IE Flash install, make sure you uncheck the box for Google Toolbar if you don't want it installed. Other than that, I'm not sure what else to suggest because you've already changed the file association for it and that didn't work. Try changing it again for Firefox if after you've installed Flash.

Hi mate!

Your problem is related to your graphics system. You don't provide much information regarding your graphics card so you have to identify it first. In order to do that bring up the XP start menu and click on run. Type dxdiag and press enter. Navigate to the video tab and post back with the details you found there.

But before that you should install the latest version of directX 9.0c. It can be found here:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...E5-5CE1-4032-A207-C693D210F616&displaylang=en

Installing DirectX may solve your problem. If it doesn't help post back with more details regarding your graphics card.
