Managing Subscription in Share point

Q: Managing Subscription in Share point

A sbscription has been created for a report. When selecting "Manage subscription" option from the down arrow, the page doesn't load. The only way is to delete and recreate it. It runs fine, then when you want to manage it again, the page doesn't load or it takes a very long time to load (if at all).

Any help is appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

Preferred Solution: Managing Subscription in Share point

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Good Afternoon,

I am active duty in the USAF and my squadron has recently stated pushing us to use Microsoft SharePoint more and more. This may be an AF wide trend, not sure; the point is I have no idea what SharePoint is, what it does, how it works, or what capabilities and advantages it might bring to me and my co-workers. I was looking for someone who might be able to answer these questions, and might also be able to discuss some of the disadvantages of SharePoint. Also, are there other programs similar to SharePoint that can do the same things, or possibly have even greater capabilities. Thank you very much for you time and help.

hi all
first i am sorry i am so much biggenr in the networking issues

i have an access point device , and i have windows 7 on my computer , can i share my files through my the wireless so i can access to them by using another computer having a wireless adapter ?

if yes so how can i do that

i hope someone helps me

thank you

A:can i use an ACCESS POINT device to share my files through a network ?

If you have computers on the same local area network (LAN) they can communicate with each other. If you connect the computers to the ACCESS POINT device (I assume this is a wireless access point, or WAP) the computers can file share.

Short description for Windows 7 and 8 file and printer sharing:

Go into the Network and Sharing Center from the Control Panel or from the Network icon in the Notification Area. Your network must be designated 'Private' (or 'Home' or 'Work'). Click on Change advanced sharing settings. In the Private or Home or Work section you can configure File and printer sharing, Public folder sharing, and Password protected sharing.

You may want to change the Workgroup name. To check it or change it right click on "Computer" and select "Properties."

You must uninstall or properly configure any non-windows firewall (security suite).

Really need more information to be able to help.
What is the make/model and operating system of each computer?
How are they connected?
Do the compuiters show in each other's Network display?
Can the computers ping each other by IP Address and Computer Name?

This is a general trouble shooting guide for simple problems.

Each computer must have a Unique Name.
Each computer must have at least one user account with a password. Vista will not share with computers that do not.
All the computers must have the same Work Group Name.
File Sharing must be turned on for each computer.
Firewalls must be configured to allow sharing.
To Turn on File Sharing.
For the XP computers go to Control Panel, Network Setup wizard.
Click next.
Click next.
If you are running wireless, the ethernet card will be listed. If connected by ethernet and you have a wireless card it will be listed.
For right now, just select "Ignore the listed connections".
Click next.
Select "This computer connects to the internet by a residential gateway".
Click next.
Enter the Work Group name.
Click next.
Select "Turn on File and printer Sharing"
Click next.
Verify all the information is correct.
Click next.
I would select "Just finish the wizard" and not make a disc. It take about the same amount of time to run the disc as to manually enter the data.
Click next.
Click finish.

I have a unusual case where I need to setup two mapped network drives as two different users to the same share location. When I attempt to map the second drive after inputting the user name and password the system goes on its merry way for a few seconds
and then returns me back to the username/password input.
If I change the second mapped network drive to use the IP address the two shares work happily. If I manipulate the host file and point two paths to the same address then I can also work around this problem. However, I would simply like to know why I am blocked
from setting two mapped drives to point to the same share with different credentials?
TestFolder on TestServer is shared to TestUser1 & TestUser2 where the IP of TestServer is
If I map S: to \\TestServer\TestFolder using TestUser1, if I then map T: to \\TestServer\TestFolder using TestUser2 it will not work.
Mapping S: to \\TestServer\TestFolder using TestUser1, if I then map T: to \\\TestFolder using TestUser2 it will work and I can access the folder as the two different users.
Case 3
If I map S: to \\TestServer\TestFolder using TestUser1, if I then map T: to \\TestServer\TestFolder using TestUser1 it will also work (but I am accessing S: & T: as the same user).
Why do cases 2 + 3 work, but case 1 does not?

Restore the PC to its original condition with the HP Recovery Manager from within Windows 7

You can use HP Recovery Manager to create a personal set of recovery discs. When you select the Recovery disc creation process, the HP Recovery Manager examines the PC and determines how many blank DVD discs will be required. I'm working on creating a point-to-point wireless network between my computer store and a car wash I own that's about 1 /4 mile away. I thought I might start a thread to share the progress along the way.

The goal is to be able to provide Internet service for credit card payments as well as security camera monitoring. I'm hopeful that the connection will be stable and low latency enough to also allow for VOIP.

Next door to the computer store is a home that was once owned by the local ambulance squad. They've got a tall tower still there that is no longer in use. We've made arrangements to be able to put a Ubiquiti Nanobeam on it, which will have a clear line-of-sight to the car wash. We got a tower that was once used by a home to receive TV signals and put it up at the car wash. On Monday, I got up in the bucket truck and mounted the Nanobeam there. (Photos below.) We still need to run conduit and cables to the tower on the computer store side and then climb that tower (as the bucket truck won't reach). It should be fun! I don't think that'll get done next week, but hopefully the week after.

Dear admins, power users etc.
The last 36h hours i spend googling my problem but couldn't get any help to solve this issue. I have multiple Windows 7 machines (32bit and 64 bit) at home.

One machine shows my samba share in the network environment and i can access it via double click perfectly.
Another machine doesn't show my samba share in the network environment. However I can access it via \\Share\mount or via \\ip\mount (after accessing the mount it shows up in the network environment, not sure what causes the problem of not showing it in the network environment initally)
The "headache-giving" machine that i refer to in the introduction doesn't show the share in the network environment nor allowing me to access the \\Share\mount or \\ip\mount but only connecting to the samba share via mounting it as Networkdrive X,Y,Z...
As one can imagine googling this problem is not the easiest task and gives you a lot of false positive results. Trying to access my Share via \\Share\mount or \\ip\mount gives me the following error message:

(i apologize for it being german, however I hope that the smart ones will understand it anyways! )

As 2/3 or the windows machines can access the samba share, samba smb.conf problems can be excluded. So I strongly assume it is a Windows problem. I am running MCAfee Virusscan Enterprise. Windows Firewall is disabled and the machine is also in the same "WORKGROUP" as the samba share.

I really hope anyone of you have an idea tha... Read more

I have an odd issue.. a user reports that they are unable to access a network shared folder from their PC. Here is what I have gathered so far:
-The network share is from their PC located at C:\SQL2014. The share name is SQL2014. Their hostname for this example is "ABC".
-If I attempt to connect to the share from the user's PC ABC to \\ABC\SQL2014 I get the generic error:
  "Windows cannot access \\ABC\SQL2014
You do not have permission to access \\ABC\SQL2014. Contact your network administrator to request access."
-If I attempt to connect to the share by ABC's IP \\\SQL2014 I can access it.
-If I attempt to connect to the share by ABC's FQDN at  \\ABC.domain.com\SQL2014 I can access it.
-If I map ABC\SQL2014 as a drive letter, I can access it.
-Connecting to this share works fine from any other PC other than ABC.
-I've confirmed the error is affecting any profile old or new on ABC, which means it is a PC-wide issue on ABC.
-If I share C:\SQL2014 as ANY OTHER NAME OTHER THAN SQL2014, I can access it. As in if I share C:\SQL2014 with the share name SQL2014a, I can access \\ABC\SQL2014a.
-Deleted the share and recreated - same issue.
-Created C:\Test and shared it as SQL2014, cannot access \\ABC\SQL2014. It is NOT an issue with the actual SQL2014 folder.

From internet searches I've found the following solutions do not affect my case:
-Clearing CSC/Offline cache (most common working solution)
-C... Read more

It's that time of year again when my subscription to Norton Virus Definitions runs out (October 2003)

I've always upgraded NAV before...I'm now on 2003 version. This time I don't want to upgrade to 2004 as I've read some unfavourable reviews and I'm not happy about the price of the subscription renewal rate.

Would there be any problems doing it this way ?

Hi there

From Windows 9 Forum there's a post on the possibility of Windows being offered as a subscription service rather like Office 365.

Windows 365 Still Possible, Sources Say | Windows 9 Forums

Hopefully NOT -- I certainly shan't be interested -- I'm already covered - most of the stuff I run on Windows I can now run on Linux as well and what I can't I'll still keep a Windows Virtual Machine with the Non subscription OS.

A:Windows 365 (subscription) still possible

All I can say is I'm sticking with Office 2013 or going to other, non-MS programs. All those subscription stuff they can keep, thank you. Like it's not enough I have to handle hydro, telephone, internet, water and who knows how many other bills, I can just imagine dozen more things to keep and remember payments for. Some of them I let bank handle automatically but any that wary I have to do almost manually (e-banking).

I have Norton Internet Security 2006 installed on my computer (running on XP Home). I've just gotten an error message that there was an internal problem with NIS and it asked me to uninstall the software and then reinstall it. However, when I try to uninstall it, it informs me that I still have so many days on my subscription (which I want to keep) and I might lose it if I uninstall. There is a link that says 'Click here' if you want to find out how to save your subscription. I click and wait but nothing loads.

I restarted my computer and it seems to be working fine now. No error message and everything seems to be in order.

I was just wondering if anyone has come across this problem and if anyone can advise me on the best possible way to go about this. Should I uninstall?

Hi DeMarHc and welcome to TSG,
If it's OK now, I wouldn't uninstall. You might want to send a message to Symantec Support about it. They could advise you on what to do if it happens again.

Hi! A 3 month free trial of McAfee anivirus came with my computer. It took some time before I even found it. Then I subscribed to it for a year. It expires November 27th. I guess it has been effective, because I haven't had a problem with viruses.
I just received an e-mail from Panda about a free download for Titanium or Platinum.
I guess I'm concerned about the monitoring...I know you can always scan. I'd like to know what you experienced ones would recommend.

A:antivirus subscription

one vote for Grisoft AVG from me. Free. Updated regularly. Czechoslavokian. Upgrade available for modest price. Several good options built in. Decent GUI. I haven't had but 1 virus in 22 months with it, and the one I got was precisely when it wasn't on.. in between a reload & while I was searchin' HJT stuff ((believe me, there are risks visiting websites whether you download or not)) The newest version is number seven, they've been in business longer than many others & apparently they've learned a lot. I'll go one more... I used to use Norton, but AVG is twice the coverage at half the cost in memory & system resource drain. Another thing is this: I judge a program partly on how well it uninstalls. Thumbs up for Anti-Virus Group, thumbs down for Symantec. Undecided on McAfee. AVG Much simpler. More effective. Period.Remember I use winXPpro, a 512MB RAM on a 1.7Mhz processor/MB... and Firefox is my basic browser now, so I don't know if my endorsement would apply so well for other OS versions or other system resource levels or other browsers. Never had a problem in IE with it either, though.

Can anyone help?

been looking at buying a Technet subscription and not sure if this deal is any good.
There is a number of microsoft partners online offering subscriptions at really good prices, the trouble is some of these are listed as "Technet Subscription 2006" They are packaged units sent out in the post.

Now my thinking is the package they send you is the 2006 package but you would still have online access from day one for a year as if a normal M$ sign up.

Is this correct?

Some urgent help would be good as have to pay for this by morning and as i can get subscription in UK for ?171 seems like a good price.

A:Help with Technet subscription

Buy the online subscription, using the coupon for $100 off (it now changes to a 25% off, not as much of a savings, but close) and get it for the download. Don't buy packages from anyone else - buy it from M$ directly. Trust me on this - the number of OS, products, and keys you get alone are more than worth it....

It has been a while since I last posted. I am trying to help out a reporter with a story on networking and I would like to get this group's thoughts on the topic below:

Cabling: Structured vs. Point-To-Point
When it comes to data center cabling, there are two primary options: structured and point-to-point. This article should look at the pros and cons of both, how they differ, etc. When and where is one option a better fit over the other?
