Hello, I forget the bios password for HP Probook 4530s. Can anyone help me to reset the BIOS administrator? Much appreciated!
I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.
I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.
You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Dear Customer, Welcome to HP Support Forum and we are glad to assist you. This is to inform you that all HP Business Notebooks such as Probooks or Elitebooks have more stringent security than consumer models infact they don't produce 'halt codes', the password cannot be derived from the Serial Number and the code is stored in non-volatile memory so removing the RTC cell will not reset the password in this case. There is no solution to a lost supervisor password other than replacing the motherboard. As far as the HDD password, it is encrypted in the BIOS but the encryption algorithm is the same on most models of a similar age. (You don't say what model you have.) If you have another machine or anything T400 or newer with an ultrabay, you can remove the password thereRead other 1 answers

help i forget my bios password for HP Pavilion 500-512d, can any one help me?
Turn off your PC, unplug it from the wall, open up the side panel, and find the jumper marked "CLR_PSWRD" or something like that near the bottom right of the board. Swap the jumper onto pins 2 and 3 (opposite of what it is now) and let it sit for 10 minutes. Then put the jumper back to where it was and see if it works.

Hi @hulp_gezocht! Yes, you should be able to put a SSD in your notebook, but since there is only one HDD bay and all you need to do replace it with the SSD. Here's the link to the service manual if you want to read ahead on how to remove and replace the HDD, more specifically - page 52:http://www.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c03054480.pdf Hope this helps and best of luck!

Hi, I'm having some trouble getting Windows 10 installed properly: How did you guys even get the HP 4530s to get the right Display Drivers for Windows 10, it looks like HP still hasn't released updated drivers for the 4530s... I have a ProBook 4530s running Windows 7 64bit Home edition. When I did the Windows 10 upgrade about a month ago, the installation appeared successful, but upon booting the computer, at the sign on screen (with the rocky beach picture with the ocean in the background) the screen would just flicker and not allow me to sign in or go past that point. So I went back to Windows 7. It appears to be a display driver issue but I see that HP has not released any display drivers for Windows 10 for the ProBook 4530s. Even if I had the driver's ready on an external flash drive or something, how am I supposed to install them if the screen keeps flickering and not allowing me to get to the desktop. I have also hooked up an external monitor and the same thing happens... How do I get the proper drivers installed -especially Display and Wireless Networking drivers,,,,before doing the upgrade attempt again to Windows 10? Thanks for any help you can provide!Read other answers
I have a HP Probook 4530s that is double booted with Windows 7 and OSX and has 8 GB of RAM. It is running the version of Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit that came with the computer. None of the original software has been removed. I have been having some issues with my hardware consuming most of the RAM in Windows 7 to the point where I only have 2.9 GB of usable RAM (I had the same amount of usable RAM when the computer had 4 GB of installed RAM). Windows detects that I have 8 GB of RAM installed so I don't think it is an issue with how the RAM is installed. (Additionally, I can use all of the RAM in OSX). How can I fix this issue?
Hello and welcome mostly I reckon you should look at what is being used at boot up > Start > type msconfig > right click run as admin and go to the tab Start you will see what is being loaded at boot up you can then work through some of the bloatware which sounds like lot of your problem too and untick them see my on boot pic.

The problem is with the ATI graphics Catalyst driver, with version 15.7. To solve the problem of slow start, in the registry, change all the DWORD value to 0 in the enableULPS key. Good afternoon, all! I've been trying to upgrade a ProBook 4530S to Windows 10. All looks good until I try to connect to Wi-Fi. The widget simply says "Cannot connect to wireless" and there are no Event Viewer entries showing why. The wired adapter works fine. They're both the Realtek adapter. I tried the Windows 8.1 driver with no success. The hard switch is on and the LED is white. The BIOS is the latest & greatest. Also triple-checked the wireless router password - thst's OK, too! With no indication from the OS as to what's going on, I may have to restore Win 7 and either start over or give up. I have another ProBook that I tried to upgrade; the wireless was fine, but there was something in the services that kept refreshing the desktop and breaking VPN and RDP connections. So, I'm a little concerned that these laptops may not be upgradeable to Win 10. Any tips for getting Win 10 to run on this? Thanks to all for looking! Gregg
Hi: If your notebook has the RTL8188CE wireless card, that doesn't work on W10. I didn't even know there was a W8.1 driver for it. I only thought that card worked up to W8. Why not upgrade the wlan card to the Intel card listed in the service manual...chapter 3, page 25. That should work fine on W10. Not only that, but you then get a dual band card with bluetooth. Intel CentrinoŽ Advanced-N 6230 HP Part # 636672-001 The only caution is you must get that card, and it must have the HP part # on it or it will not work because of the BIOS whitelist HP has on those models. You should be able to find them used but in tested and working condition cheaply on eBay by querying by the part number. I would make sure you see the HP part number shown for the item in the listing photograph.Read other 1 answers
