I recommend downloading and running DAP. It can help sort out any driver and firmware related issues on your system

It's worked out well for many of us in the past.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloaddap.org. (This link will open the download page of DAP so you can save a copy to your computer.)

gokul17 Hello;Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums! The Win10 Upgrade tool does a poor job of detecting PCs with multiple graphics chipsets (like yours) and, as a result, is unable to install the proper drivers for those chipsets to work.Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but the problem you're up against is that Microsoft only supplies drivers with the most basic functionality, and what you really need for FULL functionality in laptops is the specialized drivers written for the specific hardware found in laptops -- and unfortunately, there are no HP Win10 drivers for your laptop. However, for MS-supplied drivers that aren't working well, you could consider using HP Win8 drivers -- although there's no guarantee that those drivers will work. Here's the link to the HP Product drivers and software page for Win8 for your PC: http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-Pavilion-15-e000-Notebook-PC-series/5355006/model...If that page does not show Win8x when you open it, then click CHANGE and select Windows 8x using the pulldown. You might have to install the drivers using compatibility mode: http://www.windows10forums.com/articles/compatibility-mode.7/Good Luck

Hello

I've purchased a new computer, namely an i3 540 on a Gigabyte H55M-S2H, without a dedicated graphics card. When I install Intel's drivers and restart (no matter which driver, I've tried them all, from both GB and Intel) Instead of my desktop I will get a black screen after the windows (7 64bit pro) logo at startup.

Thanks for any help!

currently im using a SiS graphic card. but i want to use an intel extreme 2 graphic card, but it wont let me install and it always says something about INF files when i try to install or corrupt / missing files..
SiS lags my games and i think its worse than intel
But i read on the INTEL site that the intel drivers wouldnt install if there was a PCI (?) on my computer. i have no idea what this is but can someone tell me how to uninstall it?
i just got my pc fixed from a local shop too.. pics below
if anyone can help me id appreciate it!!!btw i am on Windows xp PRO

A:need help on installing intel extreme graphics card

Intel Extreme Graphics aren't a graphics card- but instead integrated graphics chipsets. This means your system must already have integrated Intel graphics on the motherboard. As you've stated, you already have SiS integrated.. so which one does your mainboard have? You can't just install the Intel drivers and have it "change" the integrated graphics chip your system has. You'll get the INF error if you try to install Intel Extreme Graphics on a system without this chipset on it.

If you can provide your system stats, this would be helpful for providing advice on what you need to do. Neither SiS nor Intel integrated graphics are very good or supported for many 3D games, so it's highly recommended you consider upgrading to a new videocard and disabling the on-board/integrated graphics entirely.

A:installing intel graphics media accelerator

I'm not 100% sure on this, I doubt anyone completely understands intel's labeling but intel.
Largely these are meant for GMA integrated graphics chips though. Based on the release information I would say the 9xx series specifically. It's really hard to say though based just on the release date and ID in the file name.

At the end of the day generally they will simply refuse to install if you don't have the supported hardware though.

The newest release of this driver is version 15.40.10.64.4300. After installing, my computer restarts and everything is fine. My problem occurs after a couple of days (I think it is caused when I switch power plans or unplug laptop) the power saving technology in the Intel graphics control panel is turned on even though I have the setting disabled. This setting is very annoying because on a white background the brightness is normal, but when on a darker background the brightness gradually decreases. Also when looking in Intel graphics control panel it says I have driver version 20.19.15.4300. Even though I have installed the newest update.

Side note I have the windows power option turned off for adaptive brightness

Hello, i recently upgraded to windows 8 pro from win 7, and i am trying to install the graphics drivers for the "Intel(R) 82915G/GV/910GL Express Chipset Family", but it won't install and displays a message that, "An unknown error has occured". I had no problems in installing the driver in Windows 7, but now in Windows 8, it refuses to install.

Any help would greatly be appreciated. Thanks.

A:Problems on installing Intel 82915G Graphics driver

If you search a bit on the Web, you'll find that Intel made no drivers newer than XP for those graphics. Windows 7 can use XP drivers (with no Aero Glass effects), but Win8 only permits WDDM 1.0 (Vista) drivers or newer. I know of no hacks to circumvent that.

The only option that I can suggest is adding a discrete graphics card that has supported drivers, if you have a desktop system.

Sorry that I can't be more encouraging.

Hi All,
My laptop is a dell inspiron 14r N4010 which is installed on win 7. One day, all of a sudden my windows was unable to boot. I force powered off the computer and upon restarting i got an error message that a recent h/w or s/w change has caused windows unable to boot. I tried system restore but no avail. I went ahead and reinstalled Windows 7 on my laptop and i could see that upon installing the Intel Graphics driver , I started to face the same issue again. Upon startup recovery, i get the following message:
Root cause found:
"A recent driver installation or upgrade may be preventing the system from starting "
Repair action: System files integrity check and repair
Result: Failed . Error code= 0x4005

Since I've zeroed in on identifying it to be the graphics driver issue, the question is how do i get the driver installed and have my system working. Without the driver, my screen looks ugly with the 800x600 resolution.
Also, I've been usng the same driver till the day my system first crashed with this issue. Can anyone please comment on how to get over this issue?

Thanks,
Atul

Hello there,

I am new to the forums, so please excuse me for any rules I might break. I've read them all and as far as I know abide by them, but you never know.

The following problem is bothering me a lot:

I fix this problem by going in to safe mode and uninstalling the same drivers again. After that I can restart Windows and everything is back to normal again.

Very curious, in each and every crashdump the generic monitor driver showed up as the cause, and all from the same function (monitor!BrightnessTargetToPercentage+32), which is evident it's dealing with altering the brightness of the monitor, probably during a power-saving operation (like when the cable is unplugged or something else triggers the monitor to dim or brighten). I kinda wanna suspect that Windows didn't install great all the way.

If you want, you can go into device manager and go to your monitor and delete the driver for it. It should then automatically recover the driver from its local driver repository. Then, go to the Asus website and look for any updates for your chipset/motherboard/cpu drivers, as well as monitor, BIOS, and finally the graphics. Once you install the graphics drivers, hopefully it'll work this time.

If that doesn't work, you should run Disk Check (both options) followed by SFC Scan. Remember to run the SFC scan from whatever you used to install Windows (USB/DVD) by entering the Recovery Environment from there. Running it from the Recovery Environment hosted on your drive will not work.

If none of those comes up with anything, and you're still getting an issue when installing the graphics drivers, then I have to assume we're dealing with faulty hardware here. I mean, you did reinstall Windows because your system was crashing, so whatever was crashing it before the reinstall most likely is what is causing it now: hardware failure.

I'm having a problem others seem to encouter, but can't get it resolved. I bought a ATI Radeon 600X Pro 256MB/PCI-E card. I have an Emachine T6410 computer with built in ati xpress 200. Specs found herehttp://www.emachines.com/support/product_support.html?cat=desktop&subcat=T-Series&model=T6410)

My problem is after installing the card my computer doesn't recognize the hardware. As soon as I put the card in, my monitor will not work. The computer boots up and the monitor has power, but no picture. The card fan is working...i can hear it. I take the card out and it works fine.

Here is what I have tried:
-Called emachines for support and after disabling my onboard graphics, still doesn't work, they say call ATI
-Tried support from ATI....no help, they say its the computer
-Tried disabling in BIOS, but it doesn't offer a selection for that. It also does't have a PNP feature. Only first initial display..which I tried on PCIEX
-Plug monitor to both card, and onboard.
-Check MSI website and I do have updated BIOS

I can tell that the onboard graphics are disabled due to large scale print. I tried uninstalling the drivers, but when i turn it on it detects and installs the built in graphics. I just can't get the monitor to work whenever the card is inserted. If it would work I could manually install the hardware and drivers. I'm thinking I need a different BIOS that would let me use PNP and disable onboard graphi... Read more

A:Problem installing new graphics card on Emachine/onboard-graphics

An extreme option

As you do have the option of a working computer prior to installing the new card I would back up any files that are important to you..
Then, before I would pay someone else BIG bucks, I would put in the new card and try a fresh install of windows. Force it to recognise your new card. The drivers that Windows will pick should suffice until the install is done and you can then install the card specific drivers from your disk.
This is given ONLY as a choice. I am not sure this will solve your problem but IT IS something this cheap bas____ would try before paying someone else.

Good Luck and check back, maybe someone else will contribute a better idea.

I installed SP1 today and everything appears fine except in my programs/features list.

Before the update, it showed 33 programs installed @ 1.78GB. No the list shows, 33 programs installed @ 37.3GB!

Looking at the list, "Intel Media Graphics Accelerator Driver" shows 37.1GB!??

My computer works fine and in the "My Computer" page is says, "OS C-Drive 197GB free of 218GB"

Is this a Dell thing like reporting the wrong program size, or is it real?

What should I do if anything?

Hello there, DBone. it could be an error, nothing to worry about.

But if it's messing around with your head, you could just uninstall the driver and install the latest version from the intel website. or your manufacturer's website

Most likely is a mis-reading. if the used space on the HDD hasn't change (besides from the SP1 files), then everything is alright.

Hi, You can get around the restriction imposed by the oem graphics package by manually installing the Intel Graphics driver as follows. First, download the latest Intel HD4600 driver for your notebook from the link below and save it to your Downloads folder - you need the first option ( ie win64_154025.4463.zip ).  Note:  If you wish to install a different driver version from Intel, the method is still the same. https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26079/Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-10-15-40-4th-Gen-?... When done, download and install the .64bit version of 7-Zip on the link below. http://www.7-zip.org/ When you've installed 7-Zip, open your Downloads folder, right click on the win64_154025.4463.zip package, select 7-Zip, select extract files and then click Ok. Cut this newly extracted folder and paste it on your Desktop so it's easy to find. When done, hold down the Windows key and press R Into the Run window, type devmgmt.msc and hit enter. In Device Manager, expand Display adapters, right click the Intel 4600 device and select 'Update Driver Software'. In the following window, select 'Browser my computer for driver software' and then select 'Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer'. In the next window, click the 'Have Disk' button and then browse to the extracted Intel win64_154025.4463 folder you pasted on your Desktop. Browse into the sub-folder Graphics, left click on t... I have a Gateway Solo 1450 with Intel 830M graphics controller which is supposed to have the TV-Out function. I hooked up a VGA converter to a S-Video cable and put that input into my tv. I adjusted the display of the graphics to allowing my notebook to be placed on the other "monitor." In the Intel directions, it says to go into the Graphics Properties and select "TV". However, even with the tv connected I don't see this icon. So I chose the multiple monitors option and allowed my notebook to be seen on the other monitor which is really the tv. I tried it on 2 tv's both on the s-video channel. However, neither has a usable signal and remains blank. One of my tv's picture did jiggle around a slight bit when I adjusted things on the settings portion but there was no picture besides a blue screen. I've tried every setting I can imagine to change on the computer and the tv. I know my s-video cable works and the adapter is new so I don't think it's that. If you think the installation of this graphic adapter is the cause of your problems than I think it would be wise to either take it away (run the uninstall program that came with the adapter ) or if that does not work, restore your system till a date before this installation.

I was thinking that the upgrade was successful because it did not proceed to give me errors but it only started a few minutes right after I was playing DOTA 2 on my laptop. Right after then it kept crashing not when I was playing games but when I boot up my laptop the screen will turn black with a cursor and the computer beep of Windows 10 notification sound that something has been attached then ejected much like a flashdrive inserted and ejected.I have tried the following before writing my dilemma here:Tried system restoreMade a clean installInserted my old RAMTried the TdrDelay registry tweak (to no avail)I can fully use my laptop normally when I either disable the installed INTEL HD GRAPHICS or uninstall it and use Microsoft Display Adapter.I really need to install the Intel HD graphics driver without problems because since a graphics card helps a lot in the performance of a computer.PS: My laptop only has 1 slot for RAM.LAPTOP MODEL: Acer Aspire ES1-431-P1SHRAM used for upgrade: http://www.lazada.com.ph/kingston-value-ram-4gb-1600mhz-pc3-12800-ddr3l-135v-non-ecc-cl11sodimm-1rx8...

See, i've just got this HP ProBook and it had Windows7 Enterprise 64 bit.
When i looked to the system information and the dxdiag i saw that it had a 1.7GB VRAM.
When i Installed a game today, it said that it doesn't support the minimum requirements of it , which it was 128mb VRam.

What should i do, I mean is it the fault at the windows 7 64 bit or, enterprise can not recognize it.

Do anyone know this, or had encountered this problem and fixed it.

This notebook has Intel 3000 integrated graphics.... It doesn't matter how much ram those graphics have...they are just too weak for gaming. However some models have a discrete AMD 6470m card also, but that is a special order thing...does the box have any information on it?

To play games on my pc, I have to turn up the brightness in my video card settings so I can see what the hell I am doing. So I updated my driver the other day, fix the color like I usually do, but when I start any full screen game, the color scheme reverts back to the default which as I said is way to dark.

Is there any way to fix this without having to revert back to outdated drivers?

This is my system

Dell Dimension 3000
Intel pentium 4
2.8 GHZ 512 RAM
windows XP (sp2)
Intel extreme graphics 2 onboard video

The video card im trying to install is a
Radeon X800 PCI series

When I try to disable the video card it seems to only reset my graphics settings to 8 bit and 800 x 600 resolution, I've looked at other posts here about the Intel extreme graphics 2 and I know that it will consistently try to reinstall its driver if uninstalled. My ATI Catalyst software will not install itself for some reason. I put in the disc and it goes through the installation process, aburptly stops but it doesn't install any ATI things onto the computer, when I look in my control panel afterwards there are no ATI things in there whatsoever.

I know this video card works and everything cause it was working in my other dimension 3000 even before I disabled the onboard video on that computer it allowed the ATI software to be on the computer. I tried getting the latest drivers from ATI but when trying to install them it pops up a message saying
"Setup was unable to find components that can be installed under your current hardware or software configurations. Please make sure you have the right required hardware or software"
what does that mean? Im not sure what hardware or software I may be missing...

any idea as to what I should do? Thanks in advance!

After I upgraded to Windows 10, The Graphics card worked fine, atleast 4 months later, I saw that the Intel Graphics tray icon was missing when I entered Device Manager it had a little exclamation point by it and said

Your computer's system firmware does not include enough information to properly configure and use this device.
To use this device, contact your computer manufacturer to obtain a firmware or BIOS update. (Code 35)

Then, I looked a little deeper into the problem and found this:

Problem code: 00000023
Problem Status: The resources required for this device conflict with the MCFG table.

I haven't edited the PC in ANY way, Any solution to this problem

I have a Dell Inspiron 1525.
I seem to have broken my display when I was trying out the Intel GMA Driver's feature 'Flip 180' which supposedly flips the monitor's display. Instead it exhibited what would happen if you change your resolution to 640x480, with really large icons. I tried to restart the computer but when I checked in my display settings it says something like:

"The currently selected driver cannot be used. It was written for a previous version of Windows and is no longer compatible with this version.

The system has started using the default VGA driver."

And in my screen saver settings:
"The screen saver can't run because it requires a newer video card or one that's compatible with Direct3D."

Aside from that, the computer works perfectly fine, but I don't want this to be a problem in the future. What happened here? Is there any way I could fix this?

Hi dcortes8489.... welcome to the forum
you could try & reinstall the driver in ''safe mode'' the original install may be corrupted somehow....

how hot is your laptop..?? heat could be causing the GFX unit to fail & recover....

Hi,
I have problem with my Intel HD graphics 5500 driver.
Some days ago my display started to show distorted objects when I scrolled down, so I updated my driver to the latest Intel's one. The updated drive caused problem with starting my Windows 7 64 bit. The Windows did not start at all.
So I uninstalled the Intel's driver and install this one from your site, which is recommended for my device. My Intel HD graphics 5500 driver does not recognize your driver at all.
How can I resolve this issues?

Intel Core i3-2330M + Intel HD Graphics 3000 = Black Screen
Hi,

first of all, my words of deep and sincere appreciation and thanks for this website. I use it, though only sporadically, for many, many years and always got very professional and useful help here!

Today I am inquiring about a problem that seems to be quite common and wide-spread, based on my own Internet searches: the bad combination of the Intel Core i3-2330M processor and the Intel HD Graphics 3000. During normal operations, my system works with that. But when using render software (POV-Ray) or attempting to play games, then I am getting that famous Black Screen. The laptop still continues to work, but I cannot see anything anymore. Only a restart helps, unfortunately. My online search did not reveal any solution, and having downloaded the "Intel Driver Update Utility", nothing new can be downloaded it seems.

I am speaking out here today about my problem with the hope, that someone here know a functioning solution. I need my system in order to create renders, that is my work. I just recently upgraded my system with that better processor, and it kills me now.

System Specs

Compaq Presario CQ57 Refurbished
Intel i3-2330M Processor
Intel HD Graphics 3000 (Driver)
16 GB RAM
Windows 7 Home Premium
17 GB free HDD space on C:\

Edit: I fixed it! (I was causing the problem myself but uninstalling the chip in the first place when i should have been disabling it instead)

Ok... I looked for about an hour and decided i would have to make a new thread for my specific problem... so sorry if im making my first post in an odd place

I recently installed a NVIDIA GeForce 5500 FX PCI 256MB DDR video card
followed directions as best i could, and disabled the Intel integrated graphics... but my PC insists on REinstalling the intel integrated graphics controller upon restart... It left me alone for awhile and i could run Counter Strike : Condition Zero moderately well (low frames after playing for over an hour) but after allowing my computer to update itself (while using IE to dowload firefox for a reinstall, IE randomly decided my home page was going to be the microsoft site for the day) and since then no matter what i do the computer insists on trying to reinstall the intel integrated graphics thing...

so my question is, how do I make this stop? how do i keep the computer from giving me the dreaded "found new hardware" bubble when im using a FAR superior (REAL) video card already?

is there something i do in the BIOS (i hope not, i dont like messing around in there) or on the motherboard itself?

i have some basic info about my comp in my signature but im going to use "PolSystemInfo" to find all my PC specs and just copy paste them below, I just hope its enough info to help so... Read more

A:NVIDIA GeForce 5500 FX-vs-Intel Integrated Graphics... please make intel go away!

Hmm that didn't happen to me when I put mines in. Did you install the NVIDIA drivers? Try disabling the onboard in the device manager. That?s what I did. There doesn?t seem to be an option to turn it off in the bios (my bios) maybe there is for you however. It isn?t too complicated. Just simply look for onboard graphics or integrated graphics controller or w/e and select disable, but first try disabling it in the device manager. It should be listed under display adapters -> properties -> disable this device.

You should upgrade to DX9.0c...

Hi: According to the specs I found regarding your notebook, it comes with the Intel/AMD switchable graphics. http://www.freecomp.net/m_pages/lapspec.aspx?a=G6-1147sx The only driver you can install is the AMD graphics driver found on your notebook's support and driver page. That is a custom driver that installs both the Intel and AMD graphics adapters. The Intel graphics driver is only for notebooks with just the Intel graphics, which is why it is not installing. Do not attempt to force the driver to install, or allow windows update to install an updated Intel graphics driver, or the switchable graphics will no longer function.
