I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

I'm trying to automate the process of flashing the BIOS version for all models during a SCCM Task Sequence.with all of them - all is looking great! we run "wflash2x64.exe [filename].rom /ign /sccm /quiet", then initiate a restart task, the BIOS gets updated and the Task Sequence continues. the only issue we have is with M93 and M900 that behaves differently. we downloaded the latest BIOS versions and when we run the restart command it just continues the task sequence without performing the upgrade.if we remove the /sccm from the command, the machine restarts automatically and the BIOS gets updated but then we kill the TS progress and have to start over.I've seen some blogs here and there that talks about using wpeutil shutdown during the task sequence, but corrent me if I'm mistaken, this will also break the whole TS progress... my questions are:1. why these models specifically behaves differently than any other Lenovo model?what's the purpose if the /sccm argument if the admin needs to do other manual steps that aren't listed anywhere officially?P.S - it will also behave that way if we will try to run the flash command from a running operating system and not just from PE 2. maybe I just missed something and there's a more fluent solution for BIOS flashing via a Task Sequence?

Computer will not boot into or past BIOS since BIOS update to FWKT86A  on 5/30/2018, unless dongel from Microsoft wireless key board and mouse is removed prior to start up. With the dongle removed maching boot normally and works with the Microsoft keyboard and mouse when plugged in. Is there a fix for this or do I need to roll back my BIOS?

All,
I have a Lenovo ThinkCentre M57 6072-AUF running Windows 7 64 bit. I got it for a song at a computer recycle center? It was originally a govt of Quebec system and the BIOS is in French. I want to flash the BIOS to update it and to also convert it to English. I went to the Lenovo site and burned the correct BIOS .iso to a disk. The old BIOS version is ?LENOVO 2RKT38AFR, 2/15/2008? the new version / .iso is ?2rj964a.iso?. However, there is no executable and even though I was able to stumble my way through the French BIOS set up and change the boot sequence to CD/DVD first, it will not boot on start up. The flash from within Windows BIOS version on the Lenovo site is an executable, but only supports a 32 bit OS. Is there a separate flash utility that I can use that will allow me to drive the new BIOS flash from inside Windows 7 64 bit? Basic steps would be good, I could never be accused of being a technical all-star. Thanks

A:BIOS Flash Question Lenovo ThinkCentre M57 6072-AUF

Hi Welcome to Seven Forums .. There is no executable for the 64 Bit OS .. Try tapping F1 or F2 at start up .. That should give you bootable Options ..

Hi. I'm thinking on getting a Thinkcentre m.900 Small Form Factor. I'm also planning on adding a Samsung PRO 950 NVMe SSD which has a M.2 2280 Form Factor. From the m900 SFF specs I see that it has a m.2 slot, but I haven't found any information about what kind of m.2 slot it is. Can I connect a m.2 2280 SSD directly to the m900 SFF? Or do I have to use it with a a PCIe adapter?

A:Thinkcentre m900 SFF: what's the m.2 SSD form fact...

I have the same question and also want to buy this unit and drop in a Samsung 950 Pro, but before I buy I also want to confirm that it support PCIe and all 4 lanes. The form factor that the 950 Pro supports is m.2 2280 and the interface is "PCIe 3.0 x4 (up to 32 Gb/s) NVMe 1.1". Does the M900 Tiny support the same?

That card you ordered definitely is not right.

I think this StarTech PCIe card is more what you need.

Supports PCIe M.2 SSDs
The adapter supports PCIe 3.0 x4 NVMe (M Key) and PCIe-AHCI M.2 SSDs including 2242, 2260, 2280, and 22110 drives. The expansion slot adapter supports the most common drive sizes including 110 mm, 80 mm, 60 mm and 42 mm.

Here's another card that is also acceptable.

Hi everyone,I am the happy owner of a TinkCentre 'Tiny' M900 desktop with 32Gb RAM and an i5 CPU (Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-6500T CPU @ 2.50GHz).I've been looking for a way to add more horsepower and since some of the M900 tiny desktops were sold with core i7 cpus, I've been wondering if the following upgrades would work:Current CPU: i5-6500T CPU @ 2.50GHz, LGA 1151 Intel HD 530, 35W, DMI 3.0). (6th Gen)Candidate #1: i7-6700T CPU @ 2.80GHz, LGA 1151 Intel HD 530, 35W, DMI 3.0). (6th Gen)Candidate #2: i7-7700T CPU @ 2.90GHz, LGA 1151 Intel HD 630, 35W, DMI 3.0). This one is a 7th Gen (KabyLake).Candidate #3: Xeon E3-1268L V5, LGA 1151, Intel P530, 35W, DMI 3.0 (Same Gen, it seems). Some people seem to have been successful with Xeons and the M900 Tiny. All of these chips feature an LGA1151 socket, 35W TDP. I'd be curious if people would recommend either candidate for replacing the original cpu..Thanks,Vincent

Has anyone else experienced this issue and found a fix? About every half hour the display will randomly freeze. Computer is still working fine, I can hear sound, and it's simply necessary to turn the display off then on again to get to work again. Very strange and I figure it likely has to do with Intel's graphics chip. Not a very technical guy, so not sure where to  start.

I have several Lenovo ThinkCentre M900 desktops deployed at various locations around the country, and they're all having the same issue. For some reason, when attempting to move data over the network, the NIC card drops it's connection. It seems to happen with large transfers most often. Attempting to move the users data from their old PCs to this new one would cause it, as well as downloading drivers off the print server. The connection simply drops and Windows cannot repair or restore it. There's no error log that I can find on it, the only thing that restores the connection is rebooting the machine. This is currently reproducable on 45 machines I have spread across 4 different states, making those data transfers and printer setups impossible, at the moment. Each computer got a BIOS update before leaving here.  System: Lenovo ThinkCentre M900Model Number: 10FH-000KUSBIOS version: 1.7OS: Windows 7 Professional SP1 Any help or insight on this would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,   I have a M91p tower, 7052-A8U, with the factory 2 port AMD 5450 card installed.   According to the data sheet, this AMD card "works with the Intel HD Graphics to support four independent monitors."   I have not been able to get a 3rd monitor on either internal port to work at the same time as the AMD ports (selecting the IGP in the BIOS video will enable the internal ports, but disable the AMD.)

Is there a trick to making them all work?  I can't be the first one needing more than 2 monitors (I will need 4 total.)

More info:  factory Win 7 64-bit SP1;  I re-installed the current AMD software and drivers from the Lenovo website for this system, Intel HD graphics and BIOS updated.  Video is set to "Auto" in the BIOS (was the default), all monitors are the same 1920 x 1080 resolution. Clicking detect in Windows or AMD Catalyst shows only the two AMD connected monitors.

I spent an hour on the phone with Lenovo (IBM) tech support, no joy.   They were going build a system to test, and call back, but haven't heard from them.

TIA for any information or suggestions.   Alan.

A:Lenovo ThinkCentre M71e - M900: 3 & 4 monitor support (three, four)

Enabling multiple monitor support -  Edge 71, 72, 91, 92; E73, M71e, M81, M82, M73, M83, M83p, M91, ...

Symptom:  Unable to configure more than two displays while 3 or more are attached to the system using a PCI-Express video adapter graphics card and the Intel HD Graphics.

Solution:  Default BIOS setting for the video Devices is [AUTO] and must be changed to [IGD] and then enable Multi-Monitor Support in the IGD section in BIOS video Setup, F10 Save and exit.

The following BIOS settings are required:
Select Active Video = IGDMulti-Monitor Support = Enabled

Help please?

I'm currently running XP Pro on my only slow small 15Gb HD inside my comp. I recently intalled a USB2 PCI card & added an external USB2 80Gb WD SE HD, which gives me loads of room for backing up etc. [I've partitioned it into into 3 large partitions.] However, there's an option on the Ext HardDrive to boot from it if I installed another OS. I was intending to put a clean install of XP Pro on one of the partitions on the ext hd *but* after checking my BIOS [AMI], I see that it's not got an option to boot from USB Device.

I think that if I flashed my BIOS, this would be possible. yes/no? However, it looks like the BIOS Flash upgrade has to be done from a pure DOS window and not a DOS box in the Windows XP Desktop. Am I wrong in thinking that I can't access DOS in XP at all? Is there a way of installing DOS so I can flash my BIOS? For obvious reasons I want to get this right as I don't want to fry my mobo or similar. I'm not exactly well versed in DOS anyway, but if I can get it working I should be able to follow the flashing info ok. Could I install DOS on another partition on the USB HD and flash from there?

Any info would be gratefully appreciated. Thanks in advance!

A:XP on HD, want to install DOS to flash BIOS - boot from ext HD?

You'd have to download a boot disk and use that to boot into dos, then flash the bios. Flashing the bios doesn't automatically mean you'll be able to boot from the removable drive, very few PC's give the option to do that. Also if the bios flash goes wrong, it could leave the machine in-operable.

Hello everyone, I have what I think is a strange one on our hands... We have multiple facililties, 3 of which support our imaging at our main HQ. Recently, one of our sites is reporting problems trying to image our new M900 tinys.    -Imaging team has reported that in order to get the task sequence to start for them, they first must enable secure boot.-The task sequence will then start, up until it lays down the image and settings and reboots. -The imaging team then has to disable secure boot, where the task sequence can then resume and finish with no errors, all drivers, on domain, etc.-IF secureboot is not disabled after the reboot, the machine is unable to load into windows at all. - Causes a "starting windows" hang, and does not change state from there.  - The current/importent BIOS settings here are: CSM-Enabled,  Boot Mode- Auto, UEFI first.  Being that we want a UEFI based image on our assets, we had one of the imaging members change the following BIOS settings:  CSM-Enabled, Boot Mode- UEFI Only.  -The task sequence is able to start, and the team members input the new machine name with no issues.-Task sequence formats the HDD ok, and moves onto Applying the OS, where it will then fail. The key highlights in the log state,         - Marking partitions active is only supported for MBR disks.         - Unable to activate partition       &... Read more

Frustrated... someone suggested that I update the BIOS on my newly acquired Tiny M900. I went to the Lenovo support page, downloaded the CD ISO, created a bootable USB, but now what? Do I just drop the ISO into the USB? Does it have to be "burned"? I tried just dropping the ISO into the bootable USB but upon reboot, my machine just went straight into Windows. I looked around in the BIOS but did not see anything (that an end user with my limited techno geek knowledge) indicated there was any issue with the boot order. Also, I'm concerned because according to the BIOS screen, my machine's current BIOS version is FTWC21a, but it looks like all the BIOS versions listed in the READ ME file start with FWKT?! Can anyone just provide clear instructions on how to create the bootable USB flash drive and update the BIOS? Thank you in advance!

A:M900 Tiny BIOS

Correction: The BIOS screens says the BIOS version is FTWC21A, but I see in the Lenovo Companion application that it's showing as FWKT38A. According to the READ ME file, there are 2 BIOS updates since this version.

Hello all,up to quite recently, I had been running Debian Stretch (4.4 kernel) on an Intel NUC NUC5I7RYH using two SSDs (Samsung 850 Pro and a Samsung 951) in RAID 0 array with no problems.Having used IBM/Lenovo equipment for decades, I decided to purchase a Lenovo M900 Tiny as I was impressed with the specifications and the physical size of the thing. One dark night, I decided to transfer my RAID 0 array from the NUC (see above) to the M900 (physically remove the SSDs from the NUC and insert them into the M900). Lo and behold, my Debian came up on the M900 with no problems, DMESG reported nothing untowards etc. This setup had been running for a week or so until with hindsight, I unwisely decided to upgrade the M900 BIOS. The original factory BIOS had a release date of December 2015 as far as I can remember. The new BIOS is FWKT38A and was released on 10.02.2016. Needless to say, after this upgrade, that was the end of my RAID 0 and my Debian. I have since reinstalled Debian on the M900, using the two abovementioned SSDs in a RAID 0 array - everything completes as it should, at this stage I would expect to have a bootable system - but no. On boot, no diagnostics, error messages, just a "black screen".I have run all of the Lenovo diagnostics on all hardware components (including the SSDs) with no error messages returned. If I install Debian using just one of the SSDs (Samsung 850 Pro), things work, i.e. the system comes up (boots).I am at a loss here as to why things are not wor... A:M900 Tiny BIOS

Hi,

There's an earlier version of the BIOS at the bottom of the BIOS download page - at least on the US site.  Looks like fwjy34usa.  Don't know if your site (if different) offers the same thing but have a look.

I can't say that a BIOS roll-back is a fix (no clue...) but perphaps it's an option worth exploring.

Yesterday, I had trouble in device one of my friends

Is a new device, there it type of MB GIGABYTE Model "ga-p61a-d3".

When I tried to do I install Windows 7 via flash memory after the first screen choose your language and then show a message that the agreement does not exist any Drive.

I enter the BIOS and try disable UEFI bios or change to legacy mode but same thing. and try disable CSM also the same thing.

I got to bring windows CD and install Windows normally.

After a search today I found it to be make a flash memory with another program to working on that type of Bios.

My question is: If I make a Flash Memory by program "refuse" to work on UEFI BIOS will work on all devices or devices with this type of bios only.

And if the answer is not possible Is there a way to make it work on all devices with the old BIOS and the UEFI bios.

Notes:
I have two flash memory and making with programs " SARDU 2.0.6.5 and Win Setup_1_0_beta8"

We use WMI to set BIOS settings in an automated enviroment where we deploy 100:s of Lenovo computers on a weekly basis. We have been using the WMI-function to do this with great success during the last few years. Now the M900 model is released and we realised that alot of settings changed name from SecurityChip to Security Chip which forced us to build special customisation to handle this (Lenovo has kept the same names consistently for the last four to five years). I have managed to figure out most settings via the ListAll.vbs-script that calls for all settable settings in the BIOS via WMI. I even tried with the official BIOS backup utility but it returns the same result. Secure Boot is not possible to set any more. I have tried founding it in other options but it is not listable as a possible setting via WMI any more. I can of course set it via the BIOS setup utility manually but that is not a feasible solution when deploying hundreds of computers. We have it automated on all other Lenovo models since the last few years, even the new ThinkPad X260, T460s, X1 and so on is working perfectly. All except the M900 model! We desperatly need help to be able to set this setting for our deployment center! Regards,Henrik
