Lots of "compatible" replacement batteries on eBay India: http://www.ebay.in/itm/Hako-Laptop-battery-for-HP-Pavilion-Sleekbook-14-1000-14-2099-695192-001-/322155524629?hash=item4b01f73215:g:56IAAOSw3YNXZEIH I could not find an original genuine battery on any of the India sites I know of. The compatible batteries are very attractively priced and generally reliable. I still try to buy genuine if I can for newer model laptops but have purchased compatible batteries quite frequently for older laptops where cost is an issue and have generally had a good experience.

Recently purchased HP 15-fo18dx Notebook and I was curious as to what the battery replacements options might be. Why is it such a challenge finding a common reference for a replacement battery? I would imagine that thousands of these and like models were sold yet I can't even figure what HP Series this model is which most battery locator sites look for. The battery Part #752237-001 which I found on the data sheet doesn't even show up on the HP Store site nor any other battery site. Is there not some common reference for this battery? Any input would be apperciated, Thanks

Again, Thanks for your reply and the info. Still very confusing and it appears that HP may be the only source for these batteries but at least I know where to find when the time comes. BTW, the battery model identified is the 4 cell version, HP does not have the 3 cell version available. I would guess the 4 cell version is better. Thanks Again

I would say the components are (in order): thermal compound - heatsink and then the fan
You would need thermal compound too. And an appropriate cleaning solution to remove previous compound.
I wouldn't know how handy you are, do you end up with spare screws when you try fixing stuff?
Any fan is operated like that, some differences apply depending on fan specs and controlling hardware.

I checked the battery using the HP Support Assistant Diagnostic Check and it continues to say the "Primary battery is OK." I've also noticed that since this started happening the battery won't fully charge. It only charges to 90-94% then shows "94% available (plugged in, not charging)." I used to unplug the battery until the battery saver (set at 20%) would turn on then I'd fully charge it and repeat. I use my laptop for work so I'm usually plugged in 8-14 hours a day for five days a week. I shut it off every night as well. Am I missing something or is this the battery life I should get? Read other 4 answersI have a problem with my HP Pavilion notebook, the notebook is not used frequently and it's just out of warranty. I recently upgraded to Windows 10 from 8.1 and I am not sure if that has caused the problem, may be just a coincidence?
The problem is that the battery is on 0% charge and displaying, "0% available plugged in not charging."
Because the battery is on 0%, could this be the problem? I read somewhere that if the battery goes completely flat it will not take a charge from the notebook charging system, is this correct? Or any other ideas would be appreciated to get it working again.

First off, I will say that the main battery I am using is not an HP OEM battery, however, it has been verfied to work and charge correctly in another family member's dv6 notebook. Furthermore, I have access to an HP OEM battery, from a family member's dv6, with which I have confirmed the same issue. FYI: I replaced my OEM battery about a year ago with an aftermarket battery when my OEM battery stopped holding a charge. This happened after before my laptop was 2 years old.
So, here's a description of the problem. About a month ago, even though my laptop was plugged in to the AC adapter, the battery stopped charging. The laptop continued to work until the battery completely ran out of charge. Once that happened, the laptop shut down, DESPITE still being connected to the AC adapter. At this point, as long as the battery was installed in my laptop, with the AC adapter still connected, it would not power up. The only way I could get it to power up was to remove the battery. Then, it would boot up just fine, but of course, I was now tethered via the AC cord, turning my laptop into a "thin and light desktop". If I attempted to put the battery back while the computer was on, connected to the AC adapter, it would shut down IMMEDIATELY. I took ... Read more
Okay, so the type of battery you have is designed to last approximately 1 year (see link below) it has lots of links to other useful docs too.http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c00596784 HP & other companies do sell Long life batteries but they cost more.We would ask you to put the unit in our unit and run Battery check which is inside HP Support Assistant, make sure you have the latest version, same for your BIOS Version. You will see there are bunch of tips on how to make your battery last longer, but you really need to start doing them from the start, if your battery is already 1 year old there is a good chance it is low enough on it's capacity to require you buying a new one.You should check out our site, they often have sales, and Batteries would be under accessories.Check out other sites too, compare. Good luck.
Read other 9 answersMy notebook is just stopped booting: When I try to boot it by pressing power button the power indication light flashes white 3 or 4 times. This cannot be because of low power as I was charging the battery overnight, albeit directly. (I was using wire to charge, connect it to universal AC adapter that wont fit in the pc) This may be because the battery took too much voltage from the direct charging, and many of you may be tempted to scream USE AC ADAPTER IDIOT but I don't have it I may have misplaced it. Any help would be appreciated. Sorry for any grammatical errors.
I think you already figured out what happened.
Read other 3 answersGood day! I would like to ask if somebody here knows the compatible battery for HP Pavilion Gaming Notebook. My battery only runs less than 4 hours now. I want to upgrade the battery to a bigger capacity battery. Also, does anybody here know if there is a compatible dock for the geming notebook? I am always plugging my laptop when playing games. And as far as I know, plugging the laptop consistently for a long time will damage the battery. Thank you!J

Read other answersI bought my hp Pavilion notebook in India. Now I live in the UK. For the last month or so, I've problems with my laptop. Whenever the laptop is on battery, it discharges very quickly. It randomly shuts off (not shut down, just shuts off with a gut wrenching clink of the hard disk) anytime below 50% charge. no notification of low battery or going into hibernation. It may happen in the middle of typing a sentence, or browsing. I ran diagnostics. HP battery check software first showed a "weak battery" result. I was about to order a new battery, when I ran the software again, which now says "primary battery OK". It is very confusing, as even if we agree that the battery has developed a problem, I can't understand why the system is not detecting low battery or putting the computer to hibernate, as per the settings. I've checked drivers - updated. The laptop is just one year and 3-4 months old. Should I replace the battery? Or is it a software error from the new windows 10 upgrade?Any help will be appreciated. Thanks!
