Omni page pro 14-printing problems

Q: Omni page pro 14-printing problems

I have a windows XP-media os and a HP 5510 all in one.
I can scan the document and make the necessary changes with no problems. The problem occurs when I print, the printed page is off set to the right. I contacted tech support and they stated this was because of the XP media os. I loaded the software on to another computer with windows xp office....same problem. Page preview looks good, all my parameters appear correct, but the page does not print correctly.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thank you for your time.

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

It seems that web page printing problems are common here, but I don't see my particular problem. Hope you guys can help. I'm running WinME with IE for a browser. Until recently I never had a problem printing from a web page or Outlook express, but lately I get this error message:

I also made the mistake of downloading Kazaa and had several parasites piggyback in. All were uninstalled except one which involves changing directories. Since I am not familiar with making these type changes, I left this parasite in. Any help would be greatly appreciated. By the way, this is a great forum and there is a lot of useful info. Thanks to all, Southland.

Here by way of example is a typical link to the type of web page from which I sometime wish to wholly or inpart to copy and paste into another document, or print to PDF.

What ever I do the calling points and the times get separated, so that the times appear below the calling points and not to their right. With such pages is an extended version (all stops), where some info has to be scrolled to to view and copy. There, even though all needed is high-lighted, only that which was first visible gets pasted or printed.

Can anybody explain why, and sugest a solution to the times' mispositioning, please? What might I be doing wrong?

A:Problems with copy pasting or printing from web page

When I click the "Print Version (PDF)" button it is nice and ordered why not save that version?
Or you could always screenshot it.

I have Excel 2000. When I try to print a spreadsheet with four columns, the preview shows the first two columns on page one the next two columns on page two, the first two on page three, the next two on page four, etc. It alternates printing only two columns on each page. I tried both portrait & landscape. The same thing happens. I changed page order from "down then over" to "over then down". It didn't help. How do I get all 4 columns to print on each page? Thanks.

A:Trouble Printing From Excel--Prints 2 Columns On First Page, Others On Next Page

Without seeing the spreadsheet, I can only offer a few suggestions.

Check print set up and check to see if it is set to print 2 pages wide. Change that to 1 page wide, however many "tall".

How wide are your columns? In print preview, turn on the margins view and resize the columns there.

Change your paper size to legal and print in landscape format if the columns need to be very wide.

Of course, then again, I could be completely off the mark here...

I received a most ridiculous request, and while I don't think this is possible, I thought I would just ask. Someone wants to print a webpage on one piece of paper. The webpage, scaled to fit, prints on about two pieces of paper. In Internet Explorer 11, I can use a custom option to shrink this down to about 30%. It still doesn't fit on one piece of paper. Is there anything else I'm missing?

@fareye? Much of what you can do depends on the printer / printer software you are using, the browser you are using to view and submit the print job, and your Operating System version. There are a couple of more obvious settings that might help in the case of a print job that does not "fit on the page" -- No doubt you have found and used "Shrink to fit" (wording varies).  Firefox also provides an additional setting, "Shrink to fit page width".  Examples -- wording may vary: Firefox > File > [Print] > Print Preview >Page Set Up  > tab Format & Options > CHECK  Shrink to fit page width ORFirefox > File > [Print] > Print Preview >Scale: > Percentage options OR Shrink to Fit Reference document below > Section: Print Preview ? Firefox========================================================== There are no rules that say a web developer must use certain formats and follow rules to make your printing life easy -- some web content looks great, and then is made to hash by your printing software and printer because the beautiful content cannot be translated onto paper. What to do?  Depending on the format of "the thing that will not print", you might download the document and print it after opening it on your computer.  PDF files sometimes respond well to this strategy.Print "hard to print" and "will not print" documents and other web centent as "images". Help, sug... how do i print something from a web page exactly as it appears on the screen??

A:printing from web page

Is this a trick question?

For just about everything, clicking on File, Print will do just that. IE 5.5 and 6 both have Print Preview available, to double-check it looks like you want it.

Another way is to do a screen shot of whatever you are looking at, and printing that.

when viewing something, press Print Scrn, then open a graphics package like IrfanView or Paint, and Paste in there. Print what remains.

I have an HP LaserJet 5 printer. It sometimes prints all pages on one sheet and then sometimes it prints only the last page by itself. To be clear, when it prints all pages on one sheet, the sheet goes through the printer only once and comes out appearing as if all pages in the document were printen on that same sheet and it was run through the printer as many times as there are pages.

When it prints only the last sheet, it comes out clear; however, where are the other 22 pages of my 23-page document?

If I remove the printer from the Windows system and reinstall the driver, it prints properly; however, if I reboot, it starts the problem all over again.

I downloaded the latest driver from HP last Monday.

I have win xp, sp1, and a lexmark z65 printer. I have installed all the drivers for the printer.

here is the problem that I have

I have reformated and reinstalled win xp in the last month or so, before I did my reinstall, I could go to print pictures, choose 4-5 or how ever many I wanted, and I would get a print wizard to come up asking how many pictures I wanted to print per page, and what size I wanted them, it would ask if I wanted them at 4x6, or 3x5, or 5x7, or what ever, I am sure you get the idea.

now when I go to print after my win xp reinstall, I do not get any of those options, it just goes strait to printing, and prints a full page.

I would like to be able to print more than one picture per page, any one have any idea what program in win xp it was that I was useing, or how I can get my computer to do this again?

Some sites say "print this page" and that will print entirely.Click to expand...

The pint this page link is a script that either uses CSS to un-render the special markups that a page uses or a server based script, they have nothing to do with your computer.

If you want to print a webpage, graphics, navigational componant etc included then you would do what your doing. If all you wnated was the text onthe page, you could highlight it and print it by choosing file > print

To highlight the text only, click at the top left of where the text starts, keeping the mouse button pressed, drag the icon to the bottom right of the text. The page text should turn blue as you drag your mouse across it. If the text you wanted to print is all selected,
click File > print and choose "selection"

Hi, when i print an article off the net, be it one page or multi pages it always have an extra page. The extra page is blank with the url address printed at the bottom. How can I stop this from happening. Its such a waste, blank sheet with just one line printed at the bottom.

A:Printing extra page

Unless the page has a "printer friendly" option, it was never designed to neatly print as a single page. It was designed to be viewed on a screen, and coded that way.

But check your paper size in the printer setup vs what paper size you are using (A4 vs Letter for instance).

However in File-Print you can also try selecting Page 1 in Page Range, but due to the individual coding in each webpage, your mileage may vary.

Might be no use to you, we had random print problems in our office, we still don't know what the true cause was but switching the printers off and back on before going home at night cured it, it seems the printer memory does not completely clear and through continuous use they get 'confused'.

This might be completely useless to you, but worth a try before shelling out 299.99!

The other thing to watch would be your roaming profiles, ensure users don't change profile by selecting locally stored ones instead of their roaming ones, this can cause headaches and all sorts of random problems.
Good luck!

I have installed a new printer and a new browser (DSL service). Every time I print a letter from e-mail or something on the Net, an extra blank page comes out of the printer. I get the printed page as it should be and then an extra blank page. I seem to remember having this problem years ago with a different computer, printer and Internet provider. We resolved the problem then, but I don't remember how we did it. I sort of suspect that we reinstalled the browser. I am considering removing the software for the printer and the browser and reinstalling them (even though it took a lot of work to get them up and running properly the first time). Do you think I should install the printer software or the browser software first? Do you have any other suggestions on what might be causing this problem. Thanks. P.S. This does not occur in Word or Notepad, the two other places I have tried.

Hi, I have a Lexmark Z605 Printer. When I try to print a page it will not print fully or correctly. For example, my wife is using a scrapbooking program and is trying to print some captions and images. It will not complete it and only do some/half the task assigned.

Another problem is when feeding the paper into the printer. It used to handle several sheets at a time. Now, I must handfeed the sheets individually and it seems like I must feed it through much farther than before when the printer would seize it and take over. now it seems to be about half way.

I have tried updating the drivers and thsi didn't help. I cahnged the USB port as well, thinking it may be a faulty port...

Try increasing:

Your bottom margin to 1.25"
Your footer margin to .75"

If that works, you may want to do it in a plain document, then hit the "default" button. Many printers, particularly those we use at home, aren't capable of printing that close to the bottom of the page.

I have an excel spreadsheet which is 3 columns wide by about 100 rows long. When I print it out, it squashes the columns over to the left hand side of the A4 landscape page leaving a big blank space on the right hand side of the page. Because of the number of rows, it prints it out onto 2 pages.

I would prefer if it could have the first 50 rows on the left hand side of the page and then the second 50 rows on the right hand side of the same page.

I have chosen to fit 1 page wide by 1 page tall but all this does, is squash all the rows over on the left hand side of the page, still leaving the right side of the page blank.

I just cannot seem to make it do this at all.

If you're referring to an existing document, it may have been "saved" previously with the "two pages per sheet" option selected. Perhaps Word also saves that option within the document's properties?

In that case, open that document, select "normal" in page setup, then re-save the document.

If I copy and paste into MS Word, and then print, everything happens as normal, but that is just concealing the root problem. I cannot account for the change, possibly I have updated some security software that has affected the settings, so don't know where to start looking for a solution. A:Printer printing leading page

When the Printer dialog comes up after selecting Print in an application, try clicking on Preferences. See if there's a setting. Other than that it would help if you have the make and model of printer. The question is pretty generic.

Hi Tech Guys: You helped me with this a while ago but the problem has come up again. When I try to print anything from the web. ( eg. IRS forms) when I hit "print" a black print screen comes up which gives directions for printing...eg. landscape, etc....The black screen seems to be too big for my screen because it does not show the bottom where the button I need to click is located. Last time you told me to change the print resolution and that worked. Now the resolution is on the maximum possible and I'm still having the problem. You also suggested eliminating the top bar and pulling the screen up as far as possible. I don't know how to eliminate that, but it seems that if I could, that might do the trick. Also the bottom bar...I don't know how to eliminate that either. Should I send you a screen shot? If so, please tell me again how to do that. Thank you!

I'm looking for one of those browser utilities/bookmarklets/whatever that lets you cut out portions of web pages so that you don't print stuff like the navigation bar on the left side etc..

I tried PrintLiminator and it sort of worked in SRWare Iron(chrome clone) but I don't like it that it dynamically loads JavaScript script from their server. If somebody puts malware in that script then it's a lot of no fun happening in my browser.

People rave about HP Web Page Printing, but it seems to be IE based only.

Anyone found a good one that only uses code local to your machine and works in all/most browsers(esp. Chrome/Iron) ??
