Program to recover deleted data?

Q: Program to recover deleted data?

I accidentally deleted a folder from my computer out of the recycle bin instead of restoring it. Well I know that if the data has not been written over by something else it can be recovered. Does anyone know of a program that can recover it for me?

Preferred Solution: Program to recover deleted data?

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Undelete has a free 30 day trial. I would recommend not using your hard drive for anything at all. If at all possible disconnect it and use another computer to recover the files.

Any time something gets written to your hard drive you risk overwriting the "deleted" data.

Hello members,

Hope you all are doing great. This is my first post & I am feeling very tensed right now. I was using disk management tool on windows 10 to delete the volume E. However by mistake I deleted the volume D & unallocated space increased .

After that I created new volume called Y out of the unallocated space. At this point I realized that I lost my D drive which has all my valuable data worth 30 GB.

Is there any way to recover the files and partition ? I tried easeus and it recovered the partition but with empty contents.

Please help me as my all work is stored on D drive and I am in wierd situation & totally scared about how do I explain this situation to my boss.

Hope someone will help me out...

I deleted a partion using the windows 7 installer disk. Unfortunately I was a bit click happy and deleted my secondary drive (one partition if you call it that, as it took up the whole disk). This is my data drive. I keep everything there including a lot of very large, multimedia files that I cannot live without. After picking my heart back up out of my shoe I started asking for help and downloading as many free tools as I can. None of them have worked satisfactorily. Find and Mount looked extremely promising, saying it would find a mark on the HDD where a partition had been made previously and then allowing me to mount a read only version, then copying all the files as though the partition had never been damaged, if I wanted. Funnily enough not only did it fail to find a visable or lost partition on this drive, it even failed to find working partitions on any other drive. Pfft.I've tried Paragon Partition Manager. It told me my drive had errors and to run chkdsk. I did this but it didn't help. The programme had the same errors when I tested it on another drive. Another pfft.I tried EASEUS Partition Manager. It found the files... but it copied all 253 gb of them as 'raw' files or something like that. This means they were completely out of order, no folders and renamed 'file001.jpg' etc. This is useless for me as a lot of my files are .RARs that need to be in a sequence to option or similar issues and also with over 25000 files I cannot be arsed o... I have a program install on my computer called "Med Journal" and I have been using this program for many years to record medical information on me and my family. Recently I tried to open the program and got an "Invalid Login Information" when I used my Username and Password. When I used the Advance System Care Shortcut Fixer, I learned that the shortcut on my computer has no "Target." I found the logo for the program in my Documents folder and the Type of document showed "Application" and the size of the folder is 1450KB so I think that this is the program. But, when I tried to open the program in the Documents folder, I got the same result "Invalid Login." (Also, there is an option for opening an unregistered version - my version is registered - by using "login" and "password" instead of the "real" login and password, but using "login" and "password" didn't work either.

Does anyone know how I can recover the data in Med Journal? Thanks for any and all replies.

Just recently I have made horrible mistake when cleaning my computer , that I can't seem to reverse but maybe you could help me *fingers crossed*

In C:\Users\HOME ADMINISTRATOR\AppData I deleted alot of Roaming. Local Low,and Local Files and have emptied it from my recycle bin.

Because I have user account control on, I can't pass that prompt screen when I click allow, I just wait and wait and nothibng happens. I come out of it by prompting windows task manger using ctrl + alt+ delete. This makes it even more difficult since I cannot turn user account control off ,prompt run, or system restore without that prompt.

What are my options? what do you suggest I do? Is there another way to restore my computer sytem wihout losing all my current document files?

Hi, anyone know of a program that will data recover MPEG-2 movies that were accidentally removed from my Recycle Bin? I have tried several programs, including Recover My Files, GetDataBack, Stellar Phoenix - one found no files, the other found 1300 files (where there should only be about 10), and the other found the right amount, but the files themselves were absolutely huge, so it must have merged the missing MPEG-2s to some of the other movies that weren't deleted.

Can anyone please suggest a way out of this, either by naming a program that can recover MPEG-2s, or a setting that I need change on one of the progs that I've already tried?

Dear Friends.
Hope this finds you well!
I'm not certain this is in the best forum, but it is a Windows 7 computer
I was trying to do another sets of DVD's from existing MP4 files from a SanDisk Ultra 32GB card. These would then be used with DVD Flick and ImgBurn to make the DVD's. The first(2) DVD's worked well but somehow a few of the files were not copied entirely. So, I was redoing these again to make certain I had ALL the files for the next (2) DVD's.
These are files my older brother entrusted to me for me to convert them to a DVD format. They are files of his daughters nearly entire basketball season [frames] of about 70 files and were sentimental to him and his daughter.
I feel personally responsible to correct this if it is at all possible!? It could get ugly
It was an honest error on my part as I mistakenly deleted what was titled Video 100 on the SanDisk which contained all these MP4 files. I didn't realize I was removing them from the SanDisk. I'm hoping there is a free date recovery app I could use for this one application so that an expensive license would not be required!?
Thank You in advance for your care, compassion and cooperation. I'm stuck in the mud...

Windows XP w/SP2. I do not use Outlook Express. My e-mail is through my ISP, wmconnect.

PROBLEM: 2 or 3 weeks ago I got a reply to a problem from Nero. It was fairly simple and solved the problem. Then I had to re-install Windows XP and the problem returned, but I had lost the e-mail. And stupid me did not write down the steps that solved the problem. Another e-mail to Nero was answered by a different person who complicated the situation; sent a file I can't open, etc., etc., etc. Apparently Nero is in Germany and English may not be clear to him (her?). Back and forth e-mails have not helped.

Now, I wonder if it is possible to restore that deleted e-mail. Wmconnect, my ISP, says it is impossible, but we constantly hear of investigations involving e-mails recovered from months and even years before, so there must be some way to do it. Does anyone know?

Thanks,
Dick

A:Recover deleted e-mail?

As you probably know, wmconnect is AOL related. Their emails are on their servers. So if you deleted it, then it cannot be recovered.

A possible solution.
Chances are not too good if the solution is something unique only to wmconnect or AOL. But you could post the exact problem here and maybe someone will have an answer.

Hello
I used to have almost an entire hard drive (50 gb) worth of .wmv files (ripped my dvd collection). I had to delete all of it since I thought I would need the space for other files. That turned out not to be necessary so now I'm wondering if there is a way to get that data back. The entire folder was deleted - I think Windows said it was too big to put in the bin. I did not do any other work on that drive since.

I tried using some popular recovery programs: Recuva, Undelete plus, restore but they don't seem to get a trace of the files. Instead they display some bizzare files which appear to be from a previous windows instalation. Now I find it unlikely that the entire collection of over 100 hundred files would just dissappear without a trace. So maybe I'm doing something wrong or using the wrong software? I'd appreciate a hand.

edit: if you know about affordable commercial software that would do the job feel free to recommend

My non-technical brother bought an external hard drive then "synched" that drive to a folder on his internal hard drive that held (of course) all of the pictures of the kids. He claims he then deleted the folder from his internal hard drive and everything was gone from his external hard drive. Nothing in the recycle bin either.

I've never used an external hard drive, so I don't know if any of what he's saying even makes sense, but the bottom line is that he would like to get out of the doghouse and get the pictures back. Does anyone know if this is possible?

I've heard that no file is ever really erased from your hard drive its really just a matter of how much you want to pay to get it back.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

It's possible the filles may still be there. First try to undelete in your recycle bin. If that's a no go, there are a few commercial recovery programs out there. The only way you can possibily undelete files that have already been deleted in the recycle bin is using such a program provided the files have not been overwritten. If you write something to the same disk it doesn't necessarily mean your deleted files have been overwritten.
If a file recovery program doesn't work, they're gone forever.

A:how to recover deleted files

Do a Google search for "File Recovery" and you will find hundreds (actually millions) of links to software that will do what you want. Bear in mind, though, a hard disk that has been in constant use (reading and writing) will have over-written many of the files (or parts of the files) and those will not be recoverable.

I'm looking for a way to recover deleted e-mails from multiple brands of e-mail programs, Outlook Express, Outlook, Thunderbird, Eudora, etc., etc. To be clear, I do not need to recover deleted files; I want to recover deleted mails, deleted by accident or on purpose.

Also, if there is a web site that deals with this subject, I would appreciate a link.

A free program that would do this would be always nice; but, if there isn't a really good free one, I would appreciate some information/evaluations from people who have actually used the software or some links to evaluations done by professional users or reviewers.

A:Recover deleted mails

Sorry, you're out of luck

Didn't the "incredimail software" have warnings before you deleted your emails? If it did NOT, uninstall that software, it's unsafe.

You do not state what email client you use, unless it IS "incredimail." If it is Outlook 2002 or 2003, download and use the Microsoft Outlook PST Backup Utility.

It will add Backup to Outlook's File menu.

The backup will run after closing Outlook (you cannot backup PSTs while in-use).

The backup interface allows you to set a backup filename (if you don't want default), and location (path). For path I highly suggest you not use defaults, put your PST backups in a separate location like My Documents, or (better) on another HD. WARNING - you must specify filenames (optional) and paths for each PST, you should have an Outlook.pst & Archive.pst if you do archive your emails.

The backup interface also allows you to schedule when to backup, and the dialog will open on Outlook exit, on schedule. At work I set every 3-days.

At home I do not use MS Office but since I image my D:\APPS05 drive (includes my email client) every month, I can recover from that.

Hello

Are you working in a Microsoft exchange environment? ie at work!
If not I do not think you can get it back.

If you are then do the following:

Highlight the deleted items folder. Click Tools>recover deleted items. Alist of emails should appear. Find your email and highlight it. Right click and choose restore or click the restore button. It should return to your deleted items folder.

Good luck.

A:Recover deleted history

Chances are that you can't. But what exactly do you want to recover? Files, a list of files, or what?

Ccleaner removes many things that can be useful for recoveries. Backup files, though useless if unused, of course, are created for a reason. Ccleaner should be used sparingly, if at all, and never use the registry part.

Oye. Where to start. I had a problem on my comptuer, so I had to reinstall XP. All is well. I have "roaming profiles" set up on a "server" [really is just my profile on a XP Pro machine w/ a big hard drive]. They are on their own partition. I set my new install machine profile point to the place where it should be. I wanted to use it right away and not wait for it to copy the 12gb of My Documents to my computer at the moment, so I moved them to a different folder. I logged on, and did what I wanted to do. Then I moved My Documents back to the profile folder on the server. Logged off of my computer and logged back on. My Documents is GONE! Apparently, since when I logged on there wasn't a My Documents, and when I logged off, it was there, Windows thought it would get rid of it...and it did. I tried several data recovery programs, and only one was able to recover some of my files, but about 90% of them are useless. A document is just a bunch of ??Ya94~9??A ect ect. Try Directory Snoop from http://www.briggsoft.com/dsnoop.htm
or File Scavenger from http://www.quetek.com/prod02.htm

Both have demos to try out first.

Hi all,

I deleted my Outlook .pst files and I need to recover; i purchased PC Tools data recovery program but it's not working for me.

At my work place we work on a roaming profile; i had problems loading my profile this morning and what i normally do is reload my profile by deleting my profile and then restarting my machine. I've done this before with no problems but this time it deleted my .pst file. Is there something else I can do to recover or get my .pst file back?

Thank you in advance.

I accidentally deleted my portable hard drive volume when messing around with Disk Management on Windows 7. The hard drive is formatted using FAT32 and is about 120GB. Is there any way to recover it? I have all media and some important documents in there. Any help would be really appreciated.

Thank you.

Hi,

You can use the undelete option in a 3rd party partition manager. As long as you haven't attempted to change that partition in any way other than delete it, should work fine.

If you have a partition Manager - see if it has that option. Post back and let me know.
