Inspiron 15 Gaming 7567 HDMI Specs/Does HDMI out support full bandwidth for G-SYNC Dell Gaming Monitor – S2417DG

Q: Inspiron 15 Gaming 7567 HDMI Specs/Does HDMI out support full bandwidth for G-SYNC Dell Gaming Monitor – S2417DG

Hello,
I have been looking for verification that if I buy the Dell 24 Gaming Monitor – S2417DG and attach it to my Inspiron 15 Gaming 7567 HDMI that I will get full 2560x1440 resolution refresh rate 165 Hz with 1ms response as the Monitor specs are listed.
I can find no information that the HDMI will pass this level of output.
I have talked to Dell tech support and they do say that the HDMI port is connected directly to the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050T i with 4GB GDDR5 but I also have seen information that HDMI will not support this.
So I am looking for verification on this configuration being compatible/able to output the full capabilities of the video card to the monitor via the on board HDMI output?

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

A: Inspiron 15 Gaming 7567 HDMI Specs/Does HDMI out support full bandwidth for G-SYNC Dell Gaming Monitor – S2417DG

First of all, G-Sync as far as I know requires DisplayPort and will not run on HDMI. Even if it does, I don't think even HDMI 2.0 has enough bandwidth for 1440p @ 165 Hz. And even if it does though, all of the Dell systems I've seen have only had HDMI 1.4, which is only enough for 1440p @ 60 Hz. But even if all of that isn't a problem, does the Inspiron 7567 have ONLY a GeForce GPU, or does it have an Intel GPU plus a GeForce GPU? If it's the latter, G-Sync will definitely not work because in almost all systems that have both GPUs, only the Intel GPU is directly wired to the display outputs. If your system has ONLY the GeForce GPU, then G-Sync should work in theory, but again you may have the bandwidth problems I mentioned above.

Recently bought a model 7567 and paired it with an external monitor via HDMI. All my drivers are up to date. Ever since pairing the both, every few minutes, the laptop and external monitor both freeze for about a minute, then both screens flicker and return to normal operation.
This only happens when I use HDMI output. If I'm using the laptop alone, it works perfectly. I should note that this only happens when browsing webpages or small tasks, and not when gaming. I have ran full system hardware diagnostics and found no problems.
Any help would be nice, as it is becoming a pain to use. Thanks!

I have a new Dell Laptop, the "New Inspiron 15 7000 Gaming", specifically the 7567 variant.  Before I start, just to let you know my technical experience, I work in the IT field, and have extensive knowledge of building computers, how drivers work, etc, just to give you an idea of my experience.
I have a couple of problems with video output on the HDMI channel.  The problems I'm having are when I use the HDMI port with my TV.  My TV is a Vizio M422i-B1, and using up-to-date cabling.  I don't have any problems using the laptop with it's built-in panel, and this laptop works perfectly when used in that way. I though will be using this laptop primarily attached to an HDMI port to my TV, and I'd like to know if changes could be made somewhere on the Laptop in a BIOS or utility I'm missing, or if I may have come up with some feature updates in future BIOS revisions - if possible.
The first problem is there is no video signal sent out on the HDMI port during boot and in the BIOS screens. When Windows starts, video signal is sent and everything appears to be working normally.  This is a problem if I want to access the BIOS, or boot to Safe Mode, or do something in the preboot environment such as booting from a USB drive. I don't see anything in the BIOS or anywhere else that would allow me to enable sending video through the HDMI port in this boot phase.
This leads me to the other problem I'm having.  After Wi... Read more

Mine works fine on a TV.  It was mentioned in another thread you do not see the screen prior to the lock screen, so if you want to use it as a boot screen it does not seem to have that capability.
What type of monitor or TV are you using and does it have an HDMI input?  Are you using Windows 10 to set up the second screen or just plugging it on for duplication?

Hello,
few weeks ago, I have bought Dell 7567 in following configuration:
CPU:  Intel Core i7 7700 HQ
GPU: Intel HD Graphics 630 + NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050Ti
HDD: 1TB 5400rpm

Although the notebook seems to be powerful enough, I am having problems when it is connected to the external monitor (via HDMI, I have tried different monitors and cables):
1) When the notebook lid is closed (or the Windows Display settings is set to "External only"), Windows is very slow, all the animations are lagging. When both notebook screen and external monitor are on (set to "Duplicate"), everything is fine.
2) In games, I have a noticable FPS drop (up to 20 - 30 FPS in Witcher 3) when playing on external screen (even on "Duplicate" and "External Only" modes). I can have full FPS just when playing only on notebook screen.
I was not able to solve this problem (probably it's some bug in drivers from Intel). I have tried more different drivers (from Dell and also stock Nvidia/Intel) but without success. Currently I am using the latest ones from Dell website.
I would be very happy if someone could help me to solve this problem as it drives me crazy to not be able to enjoy full (gaming) performance of this laptop.

I am experiencing a problem with connecting my laptop to an external monitor via an HDMI to DVI cable.
I have an Inspiron 7566 Gaming laptop. I dual boot Windows and Ubuntu. Laptop details here www.dell.com/.../diagnose
When I boot into Ubuntu it all works fine, but when booting into Windows the external monitor is not detected. I can only assume this is because the audio is also sent through the HDMI and its causing some kind of conflict.
Any suggestions are welcome.

So I'm a bit perplexed, so I'll be more detailed here. After a year and a month or two (just after the warranty expired), my laptop started crashing whenever I did anything demanding on it, from playing even simple games to running the extended BIOS diagnostics, and even once just watching a show. These are the tests I've done:
-BIOS diagnostics = fine
-Intel SSD test = fine
-Dell's diagnostics = passed
-McAfee's full virus and malware scan = no problems
-Core temperature test = under light use temperatures are between 40 and 50 degrees C, under mid-level usage I read temperatures before crashing between 50 and 60

The only "solution" I've found that partially works is lowering the maximum processor state from 100% to 70%, which allows the crashing to be delayed some (which is why I thought it might be a heat issue).

After it crashes, it is warm to the touch under the laptop, but not hot, and I've easily ran it hotter while playing modern heavy graphic games.

As the laptop still works for basic office uses which I primarily use it for I don't want to buy a new one, but I would like to get it working again back to its reliable level from before. Any idea why its having problem and what I could do to fix it?

Hi,
Been having a problem with my new laptop that's getting progressively more annoying.
Every so often Power Monitor Lite pops up a dialogue box that states that it does not recognise my battery & that 3rd party batteries could catch on fire. I should order a new Dell battery to fix this.
Originally this happened maybe once per day. Now it can be once per hour. It now also stacks, leaving multiple instances open in the background after I leave the system on with no activity.
Seeing as my laptop is pretty much fresh from box and has had no hardware changes made to it this is obviously wrong.
It is more frustrating that if I open Power manager Lite It shows Dell as the battery maker. The only thing on the info screen is that the program cannot establish "battery health"
I would normally remove this software as Windows perfectly good power management built in but I cannot find anything listed under add/remove - this seems to be a Win 10 thing as I have found advice for Win 8 saying it can be removed this way.
Any advice on how to remove this program or at least disable it's notifications?
cheers
G

So a few days ago, I turn my less than 3 week old Dell Inspiron 15 7567 Gaming on, and notice that there is now what appears to be fan noise coming from just the right side of the laptop. Prior to this, the fan would only kick on when the laptop hit a certain temperature, but now there is fan noise constantly. I'm worried this is the sign of worse to come. Uninstalling Windows updates, updating the BIOS, and reinstalling windows have done nothing to help. The only other piece of hardware on that side of the laptop is the hard drive.

Hi everyone!
I have a Dell Inspiron 15 7567 gaming laptop, and today I noticed, that my laptop makes very quiet ticking sound when it is plugged in. This is strange, because the sound very similar to a HDD's head movement ticking. The only problem that there's no winchester in this laptop, only SSD-s (1 X M.2 NVMe PCI-E x4, and 1 X SATA3 2,5") working in my laptop. In this series there's no optical drive, so the only mechanical units in this laptop the 2 cooling fans. But strangely the ticking is exactly can be heard, when the fans stop. So when the fans don't spin (0 rpm) the quiet ticking sound can be heard.
The second strange thing, if I unplug the laptop from AC, the ticking slows down. After i plug in it again, the ticking continues faster...
Do somebody sensed the same? The ticking comes from under the keyboard, if I lean forward, I can hear it well. I think, that this ticking might caused by one electical unit, and I worry that my laptop will go wrong, although now there's no other problem, just the sound...

I recently (June 2017) bought a Dell Inspiron 15 Gaming 7567computer with Windows 10 installed. I have created a backup image of the OS and also burned a bootable disk so that I can reinstall Windows 10 at a future date.
My old computer (which uses Windows 7) permits me to change the boot order sequence by using the F12 key during the startup process to access the BIOS and then edit the boot order sequence so that the machine boots from a DVD or USB drive. This makes it possible to restore a backup image from a previous date or even to use a different OS, e.g. Linux.
My problem is that the F12 key does not work on the new machine and I do not know how to create a boot order sequence that will permit me to boot from a DVD or USB drive instead of the hard drive. So at this point, I cannot use the bootable recovery disk that I prepared. I understand that there is now UEFI technology that controls booting.
Question: How can I make make the new computer boot from a DVD or USB drive?
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Richard

A:How To Change Boot Sequence in Win 10 on Dell Inspiron 15 Gaming 7567

The new computer is faster than the old one so you have to try tapping F12 as soon as you turn the computer on to get to the boot menu. Keep tapping without waiting for any screen. You can also use the built in solution--which is useless if the computer won't boot so you need to know the tapping trick. Open Settings, Updates and Security, Recovery to see the options.

Hey,
I have bought a dell inspiron 7567 gaming laptop about 2 months ago.. I facing few problems..
1. first month the laptop used to run on batter for about 5-6 hrs browsing internet and watching movies as well.. but now I hardly get 2 hours only browsing without any other tasks running in parallel..
2. The laptop heats a lot at the bottom even when I do browsing only
3. Right hinge make a kind of 'tick' sound while opening and closing.. and after I close completely, I have to press a bit at the right hinge to close completely.. (When I press it makes a small tick sound and is closed completely)
I'm worried to see so many issues within a year and that too for just 2 months.. The main problem is this laptop my aunt bought in United States but I live in India. So it is not easy to send the laptop to US for  such issues.. I hope I will get some support through this post..

A:Dell inspiron 7567 Gaming - Battery and Hinge problem.

You'll need to start by transferring the warranty to India -- however, this requires:
1.  Upgrading the warranty from depot repair to onsite service -- this will cost a couple of hundred dollars.
2.  That the model is sold in India -- if it's not, the warranty cannot transfer.
To transfer:

Then contact Dell India or US for repair.

Hi all,
I recently purchased an Inspiron 15 7567 gaming laptop from Dell and have encountered a few issues.
Computer Specs:
OS: Windows 10 Home 64 Bit
CPU: Intel Core i7 7700HQ Kabylake
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4GB
Memory: 8GB (1x) DDR4
Storage: 1TB Hybrid Drive
The rest can be found here
Problem:
Upon first setup there were issues installing the NVIDIA drivers where the install would fail multiple times - eventually I got the driver to install. Then I had some issues with the graphics card enabling when I would play games so I just changed the setting in the NVIDIA control panel to always use the dedicated GPU. After playing some AAA titles such as GTA V and Arma III, I am experiencing what appears to be throttling. On low or ultra settings, my FPS remains around 45-50 (sometimes a little higher before stutter) on most games which surprised me because the dedicated GPU is a 1050 Ti which has higher specs than what the games need. After playing for maybe an hour, the game starts to frequently stutter, dropping frames for a couple seconds then boosting back and so on. I have monitored the temperature of both the GPU and CPU which reach ~56 degrees Celsius and ~70 degrees Celsius respectively. I have also monitored the usage of the CPU and memory during play, the CPU not reaching full usage and the memory reaching about 90% usage. I have also monitored the GPU performance through GPU-Z and will attach the file below. I have virtually tried everything that I can thi... Read more

Hello all, I've recently purchased this laptop (Just out of best buy direct return policy) and It has remained docked at my desk since.

I used the keyboard briefly during setup, but otherwise have been using my mechanical - well the other day I decided to use it and the backspace key popped up. Saw that the clips on the key itself were broken on one side.

I don't want to have to wait without my computer in hopes that this may be covered by warranty repair if I send it in, but I cannot find this keyboard anywhere but Ebay.

I would purchase it from ebay but the only sellers are located in hong kong and it would take quite a while and not be an assured fit.

Any ideas? Part number, etc? Basically I would just buy a new keyboard and take the backspace key off of it.

I saw that theres a website for laptop replacement keys, but this particular model isn't listed. Is this keyboard shared with other models, just with either no backlight or with white text instead of red? I would accept a different kind of key if its the right size.

Thanks, sorry for the wall of text. Just wanting to get my keyboard back to new :-(

Hi,

So eagerly i tought to buy this cool looking laptop for a huge $2000 i needed it to output to a hdmi monitor ot TV so sometimes i could see movies as well, now i had to buy the special DA200 dell adaptor and in the past 3 weeks it`s been a complete nightmare, i WAS NEVER ABLE to make it work permanently. The chat support was no help at all usually simply resuming to try and replace the part but i do think the part is good and i didn't feel like waiting 2 weeks for it to ship from china.

The ethernet and usb work on the DA200 adaptor , EXCEPT HDMI.  SOMETIMES it would work briefly until next restart, i had tried everything ever available on the internet. The laptop is running Windows 10 (as it`s restricted to that version, i tried to install other versions with lots of issues and compatibility issues) so  i have installed reinstalled and installed different versions of the video driver for all possible windowses and none worked. what did work was very brief until next restart and that usually happened when i had a fresh windows install, after the first restart i will get a non working hdmi again.

I have tried several hdmi cables so i know it`s not the hdmi cable or the tv ot the monitor. and nobody seems to be able to help!!

Hi Dell Community. I'm getting big performance drops in games when connecting to my TV (direct connection over HDMI).Taxing scenes that would give me 55FPS when playing on my Laptop Screen are now dropping to 30-35fps and I have no idea what's causing it. As far as I know there shouldn't be such massive drops just by using an external monitor.I've asked in other places and gotten some suggestions but none that has helped me solve the issue:- The games are running at 1080p on both my laptop screen and my TV so It's not a resolution difference causing the issues- I've set the image to only display on the secondary monitor. So it's not mirroring it on the laptop screen.- I've made sure it's the dedicated GTX1050 Ti running the games and not the integrated graphics card when using my TV (by adjusting the global settings in the Nvidia control panel)- All the drivers are up to date
Any suggestions?Thanks

A:Inspiron 7567, HDMI out to TV, low FPS

The Nvidia global settings only applies to the laptop LCD panel. The HDMI out port will ONLY use the onboard Intel HD Graphics 630. So getting 30-35 FPS on that Intel GPU is normal. The Intel driver 21.20.16.4727 A03 dated 8/31/17 is the latest one we offered for this Inspiron 15-7567. I did find a newer driver dated 9/11/17 for the onboard Intel HD Graphics 630 on the Inspiron 15-7577, 22.20.16.4771 A01. Might be worth testing to see if it will install on your model.

I have tried other general suggestion such as disconnecting button and holding down power then reconnecting to no end.
Any one have any ideas?

GeForce GT 555M 3GB GDDR3 (downgraded nVidia drivers from nVidia to 382.05 ver. for compare)

In my humble opinion Inspiron 7567 should perform much better on these specs and pull much better FPS on this game.
Should I take my money back? Or can it be fixed ?

Hi, I can't seem to get anything higher than 1920x1080 in the list of available resolution options when I connect my Dell U2713HM monitor to my Dell Inspiron 15 laptop. I've run this monitor at 2560x1440 on another laptop over HDMI in the past but that was with Windows 8. The Intel HD Graphics 530 Control Panel doesn't offer any resolutions above 1920x1080 for the external monitor and adding custom resolutions results in the error "the custom resolution exceeds the maximum bandwidth capacity". I'm using the same high speed HDMI cable that worked at 2560x1440 with this monitor on my previous laptop. I'm fully up to date on all of the drivers for the laptop.
Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm not sure what else to try. Could this be a Windows 10 issue? Should I try the standard Intel HD Graphics 530 drivers from the Intel website?

I bought a HDMI (M) to DVI-D (F) adapter for an external monitor. The monitor only supports DVI-D or VGA hence the necessity for an adapter. I attached the cables and had set the "project screen" setting to "extend". Lo and behold, blank screen.
I have tried the adapter with other two desktops I have lying around and I can verify it is working. The laptop detects the monitor. It also noticed the DVI-D connection. In terms of actually outputting anything to the external monitor? No bueno. I really desire a second monitor for productive workloads.

Hi there,

Bought a Inspiron 15 Gaming a week ago with the i7 7700HQ kaby lake cpu,
Comes with:
Intel core  i7 7700HQ kaby lake cpu
16GB DDR4
256GB SSD + 1TB Hard drive
Geforce GTX 1050 ( appears to be a 1050 ti on my order comfirmation ).
1080p screen.

The real question is: Is it upgradeable to a Nvme M2 ssd later on ?, because the 4k screen version with the 512GB ssd has a nvme version in it.

Hope the 15 gaming does work pretty well.
Using a 17R 5720, which is 4 years and 5 months old, but still good battery life. Just lacks of the SATA3 msata and a good graphics chip.

The 4K 7567 Laptop comes with a 512GB SSD. I would like to add another drive, preferably SAD. However both Dell Support and internet sources provide conflicting data on whether another SSD can be added, varying "yes" or "no" between Dell spare parts sales persons. Internet sources are not definitive either.
Questions: Is there an available slot, and if so, is it SATA HDD only (as one Dell person says), or, M.2 ADD compatible, as another Dell salesperson has stated, or, another format?
Another 500gb SSD Is preferable, but, can I go with an HDD, if an additional SDD cannot be added?

A:Storage: Inspiron Gaming 15 7567 4k UHD

The 7567 has space for one M.2 drive and one 2.5 inch drive.  A battery size may alter whether you can use the second slot if you got a larger battery, but not sure.
My system came with an M.2 drive and the hardware for a 2.5 inch drive.  Currently folks are saying, due to supply problems, a current system may not have the extra hardware.
The M.2 drive can be run as SATA or PCIe, depending on how you have the SATA controller configured.  Using RAID puts the M.2 slot into a SATA configuration and AHCI or disabled puts it into a PCIe configuration.
The M.2 slot can handle M.2 PCIe drives and possibly M.2 SATA drives but I have not tested the pure SATA.

I bought a laptop case for a 15.6" laptop but, unfortunately, my new Inspiron 15 Gaming 7567 laptop is too big for it. Can anyone recommend a case/bag for it (not a sleeve)? I could buy one for a 17" laptop but I'm concerned that would be too big.
Thanks.

I have a new Inspiron 7567 gaming laptop; it has two graphics cards, the integrated Intel HD 630 and the 'semi-discrete' Nvidia Geforce GTX 1050 ti.
Yesterday, I tried plugging it into my HDTV using an HDMI to HDMI cable. I have done this many times with my previous laptop, a Dell Inspiron n7110, and have had 0 problems. With the 7567, however, the TV just flickers for a moment and says "No signal". The computer reacts in a few different ways when the TV is plugged in:
In the Windows 10 "Display Settings", options appear for multiple displays such as "Extend Display", "Duplicate Display", etc., and with Windows + P I can choose these, however, only one screen is shown (which changes from 1 to 1/2 when HDMI is plugged in) and when I click on "Detect" it says that no other display is detected. Additionally, an extra Monitor (Generic PNP Monitor) appears in Device Manager when the display is plugged in.
In the Intel Graphics Settings control panel, there is no change when the HDMI display is plugged in. There are no multiple-display options, and "Detect" does not detect any other displays.
Finally, in the Nvidia control panel, when there is no external display plugged in, the only section in the left-hand tree menu is "3D Settings". One of the items under it is "Set PhysX Configuration", which shows "Laptop Display" connected to "Intel HD Graphics 630" with a line, inside ... Read more

Dear all,

I currently have an Inspiron 15 Gaming 7567 which I am trying to connect to an external screen I recently bought (Dell 2415H). I have attempted to connected this though HDMI port. For some reason, the screen remains blank (black). The resolution should be 1920 x 1080 at 60 Hz. In order to address the issue and after reading a few forums I have tried a few things:
1. Tried different HDMI cables although the screen came with one. I have also used the cable and laptop on a TV and works fine. However, the TV resolution works with a 1360 x 768 @ 60 hz.
2. I have connected the screen to different laptop (Samsung) through the HDMI and works fine.
3. I have updated drivers after completely uninstalling them (both Intel and Nvidia). The Nvidia Geforce drivers that I have at the moment are version 384.94 - see below.

4. I have played around with Nvidia's Setting panel. So the results are as follows:
1920 x 1080 @30Hz, progressive (custom setup): Display works but lots of blue pixels in black areas
1080p 1920 x 1080 @60Hz (native): no signal – blank screen;
1080i 1920 x 1080 @ 30Hz: lots of flickering;
Other resolutions mixed results.

The intention of course is to have an output of 1920 x 1080 @ 60Hz as that’s what both devices (screen and graphics card) are supposed to support.

To sum up the issue therefore seems to be that GTX1050 can't cope with 1920 x 1080 specifically @ 60Hz. Can you please confirm if that is a known issue and how... Read more

Hi, I have a 2017 Inspiron 15 Gaming 7567, and I have been getting issues with the Bluetooth adapter from my laptop, as in some occasions it goes AWOL from the computer, one minute is working the next, it disappears even from the device manager list, as if it wasn't installed, I hadn't had this problem in a while up until today I tried to connect my Bluetooth mouse and it didn't read it so I used the unifier dongle and it worked then I tried to connect the Xbox Bluetooth controller and as it was pairing, the whole Bluetooth menu disappeared from the settings page, and wouldn't show up on the device manager list.
Does anyone have an idea of what might be happening?

Hi DonJEA,Thanks for posting. Please run the diagnostics program by pressing F12 at boot up to be sure there's not a hardware issue, then check to see if you have the latest Bluetooth driver installed: http://dell.to/2tfgHxFIf that's not working, then please contact Tech Support for further troubleshooting over the phone.

Hi,I recently purchased a inspiron 15 (7567). It has the combo 3.5 jack. My headset is a Hyper x Cloud which also is a 3.5 jack. I am getting the popup when I plug in the mic but I can't find any traces of the microphone and can't get it to work at all. Any help would be appreciated.Alex

A:Inspiron 15 Gaming 7567, Headset mic not working

If it has the 3.5 jack and you aren't using an adapter, make sure it is plugged in so you see none of the barrel.  It may take some extra pressure.
If you have it plugged in, pull up the Playback devices window from the speaker icon and let us know if it shows "Speakers/Headphones" or just "Speakers".

Okay so,for some reason my internet upload and download speed are constantly limited and its only on this laptop.(wireless) I'm suppose to be getting around 20mbps download and 13mbps upload just like my other devices. But right now,i'm only getting 10.6mbps download and 0.8 mbps download. My router is a tp-link archer c7 ac1750.i contacted tp-link for the router and microsoft for the windows just incase the problem might be one of those but it isn't.So i'm just wondering if it may be the laptop. my internet setting are set to normal,2.4ghz auto everything.i tried with the 5.0ghz but it's still the same problem. Can anyone help me figure this out?

A:Inspiron 15 7567 gaming. Internet problem.

It is hard to suggest anything without specifics regarding your Wireless adapter and local network.  I assume you are using the original Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 3165?
The up and down speeds you indicate are a little different from standard, what type of internet connection do you have?
Have you run a Network Troubleshooter?  Have you determined the problem is from your router to your system and not related to Internet speeds?
There are many threads on this system and wireless problems.  Have you seen any of those?

I recently (June 2017) bought a Dell Inspiron 15 Gaming 7567 computer with Windows 10 installed.
My problem is that I need to do this operation, that I mention and I can not do it since the Bios contains the Function Key Behavior
1. Restart your Dell laptop.
2. Watch the boot screen. Look for the notation at the bottom instructing you to "Press the XX key to enter system BIOS." In most Dell laptops, this will be noted as the "F2" key, but this may differ on your system. When the message appears, hold down the appropriate key to enter the BIOS screen.
3. Navigate to the "Advanced" tab by pressing the right arrow key.
4. Scroll down to "Function Key Behavior" on the "Advanced" tab by pressing the down button. Press "Enter."
5. Press the up/down arrow keys to move the selection to "Multimedia Key First."
6. Press "F10" to save your settings and exit.
7. Allow the system to reboot for the changes to take effect.
Question: How can I make these changes
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Richard

I just want to know if there is a QVL for memory?
For example, can I use;
G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 2400MHz CL16 1.2V SODIMMs (F4-2400C16D-16GRS) for a memory upgrade?
Or max it out with;
G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 32GB(2x16GB) DDR4 2400MHz CL16 1.2V SODIMMs (F4-2400C16D-32GRS)?
Or perhaps I can use;
Kingston HyperX Impact Black 32GB (2x16GB) DDR4 2133MHz CL13 Dual-Channel SODIMMs (HX421S13IBK2/32)?

Hello, I just purchased this i5759-8836SLV (Windows 10) laptop that produces a very poor display on an external HD monitor (HP 22VC) when connecting via the HDMI port. It has an integrated Intel Graphics 520 and an AMD Radeon R5 M335 (4GB) dedicated graphics card.
The contrast ratio is very poor and the colours are dull when comparing to the laptop screen, with both displays set to 1920 x 1080 resolution.
I have switched HDMI cables and even monitors, with the same results. When I attach the same monitor to a different Dell laptop, the display works just fine. The image is very crisp and the colours are very bright and default factory setiings.
I have downloaded and installed the latest drivers, tried adjusting both monitor and graphics software settings without much success, the display still doesn't look as sharp and bright.
I have tried explaining the issue to Dell tech support, but without much success. The believe it is a monitor issue, as the laptop's built in display is working fine.

I haven't tried on windows but is that even working on Windows?I have another USB3 screen Asus MB168B+. It's not an option - with the seventh generation CPU you have, only Windows 10 is supported - there is no support for Windows 7 on this model.
If you need Windows 7, you'll need to return the system and order a different model with a Skylake (6th generation) CPU -- the last one with pre-Windows 10 support.  Some Latitude models still offer 6th generation CPUs.
