Q: Unable to sign in to Skype v 7.26.0.101

"Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1511 for x64-based Systems (KB3176493)" along with the other usual patch Tuesday available updates:
"Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool for Windows 8, 8.1, 10 and Windows Server 2012, 2012 R2 x64 Edition - August 2016 (KB890830)"

I recommend downloading and running Reimage. It's a computer repair tool that has been proven to identify and fix many Windows problems with a high level of success.

I've used it in the past to identify and fix everything from blue screens (BSOD's), ActiveX errors, corrupt files and processes, dll/exe/sys errors, recover lost memory, Windows update problems, defragging, malware removal etc.

You can download it direct from this link http://downloadreimage.com/download.php. (This link will automatically start a download of Reimage that you can save to your computer.)

Hope someone can help me out. After 6 hours online with MS support, I am left with a computer I can not log on to. Long story, but as a result of their tinkering I was forced to do a Windows reset. Rebooting I get to a logon screen, with my name and what is supposed to be an outlook mail account. But when I first set it up I typed "putlook" instead of outlook. I was able to correct it later and everything was fine. But the reset went back to putlook and now when I try to sign on it tells me invalid account. Tried to find a way to fix it using cmd prompt and regedit, but no luck. Have enabled administrator account but logon screen still only shows my default account with outlook account. Any suggestions? Thanks, steve

I was only able to sign in once amongst all the times I restarted the machine manually, and even then, it was running so slow that I was forced to restart it again and once again discover the exact same problem. I've attempted entering in safe mode, and normal mode, and I still can't figure it out. I'm not as computer savvy as most of you, so if you have tips or questions, please explain it in lamen's terms. For starters it takes Skype several minutes to send and recvive messages as well as the CPU usage varying from 35%-60%(Average is 45-50%) it is also constantly using more than 0.3MB/s disk usage. But now and again Skype will tell me I have revived a messaged when in fact the message it said I revived was sent in Late December. Also it says some people are not on my contact list/ offline when infarct they are on my contact list and are online.

P.S I have tried Skype on other machines and it works just fine.

Problems (only on this computer and when using dial up, not broadband and wireless):
Cannot sign into MSN
Cannot sign into Hotmail
Cannot send email from Outlook Express
Cannot browse IE if opened with MSN butterfly

Although I CAN use MSN 9 Welcome page dial up and connect to Internet, it will not sign me in on my MSN account. After "signing in, attempt 2" it gives me Message 36. I can, however, minimize MSN Welcome page and then use the connectionto browse using IE.

When I try to send email from my any of my MSN Hotmail accounts using Outlook Express on this computer, I get the following message: The server does not support the required HTTP methods. Account: 'XXXXXX', Server: 'http://oe.msn.msnmail.hotmail.com/cgi-bin/hmdata', Protocol: HTTPMail, Server Response: 'Method Not Allowed', Port: 0, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800CCC35

If I use IE to open the Hotmail Homepage and try to sign in to use my email, it says my User Name or Password must be wrong - but, of course, they are correct.

Can anybody tell me what is going on and how I can fix it. Because this does not happen with braodband or another computer, my IE or MSN software must be messed up?

Thanks.

A:Unable to sign-in to my hotmail account

I've moved your thread, as the problem does not appear to be with Windows 7.

Most likely the problem is exactly as the message says: "an error on Web page may cause it to work in-correctly." In other words, it is probably a problem with one of the Hotmail servers and they will get it fixed within hours.

Since you last could login to Hotmail have you made any changes--installed a program, updated Windows, added a browser add-on, etc.?

I have a new laptop that I started setting up a few days ago. I'm trying to access it for the first time since then, and am unable to. It's asking for my password.  I tried my Microsoft password, but that doesn't work. I even tried re-setting it. I used the one I thought I had originally set up, thinking I may have remembered it wrong, but got the message someone else is already using that password. That "someone else" has to be me.  I don't recall setting a password to lock the screen.  There is an option to reset my password from the screen, but it says I have to have created a password reset disk, which I have not done.  How can I get into my laptop?     I'm using my old laptop to go into reset my Microsoft password, and had a code emailed to me.

I understand from your post that you are unable to sign in to Windows on your Notebook. You said that your password is not working and that you already tried to reset it by going to your Microsoft account. In this case, you are inquiring support from Microsoft to be able to get back into your Microsoft Windows Operating System. You can reach out to them using their Microsoft Community Forums as well.  Hope that helps! Have a great day!

I have no viruses or any other kind of malware so I have no idea why this is happening. I have updated my laptop to Windows 8.1 if that makes any difference. But if anyone has any suggestions I would REALLY appreciate it. Thank you.

Hi Guys,

For some unknown reason, I am now unable to sign into ebay.com.au, yet I can sign into ebay.com!!!!

I have tried, on both Internet Explorer 8 & 9 and both show the same error screen, I have attached an example.

I have emptied caches, temp files and enable all cookies, but I still can't sign into ebay.com.au...............any suggestions, would be appreciated.

Thank You.

A:Unable to Sign into ebay.com.au in Internet Explorer

I would try deleting the cookie for ebay.com.au.

Open IE> Tools (Gear icon upper right in IE9)> Internet Options> General tab> Browsing History> Settings

View files

Look for something like cookie: (Username)@ebay.com.au and delete it. You will be asked to sign in again when you visit ebay.com.au again. A Guy

* The date on your computer needs to be set properly -- double click the clock and verify that the time and date are set correctly.

* If your password information is not saved, verify that you are typing it in with the correct case (uppercase or lowercase).

* Change your password at Sign In to something smaller (under 10-12 characters), then try signing in again.

* Even though you disabled your firewall, it still may be blocking Messenger -- try restarting it and see if that helps the situation. You also might try uninstalling an installed firewall, to verify that it isn't causing a problem (even if it is disabled).

* Clear your IE cache and cookies -- open Internet Explorer, click the Tools menu, then Internet Options, then click the Delete Files and when that's completed click the Delete Cookies button.

* Check your IE Security settings -- open Internet Explorer, click the Tools menu, then Internet Options, then Advanced tab, scroll to the Security section, and verify that "Check for server certificate revocation" is unchecked. Also verify that 'Use SSl 2.0' and Use SSL 3.0 is checked. then click OK.

* Click Start, then Run, and enter the following:

regsvr32 softpub.dll
then click OK
and do the same for the following:
regsvr32 wintrust.dll
regsvr32 initpki.dll
regsvr32 MSXML3.dll

After entering my 4 digit numeric password, I get a message on the screen stating setting up Windows, and then the following message comes up in a pop-up box.
"We cant sign into your account . the problem can often be fixed by signing out of you account, and then signing back in. If you don't sign out now, any files you create , or changes you make will be lost".
I signed out several times, but still get the same message, and able to sign into my account.
 Any help will be welcome.

When trying to dial in to MSN, I receive the following error msg:

"We are unable to connect to our sign-in server. Please check that your computer's date and time are set correctly, because this is needed to transmit your password."

The machine stays connected and I am able to browse, but cannot access email.

Obviously I checked and verified the date and time are correct. There was a significant spyware infection on the machine that I fixed, but the problem pre-dated removing the spyware. The only other issue I saw was the computer had a corrupted copy of Norton AV 2000 installed (this is a win98 machine).

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Bleeping Computer guys, I'm trying to sign into emails and I get a screen saying my internet connection is not private. I don't understand why as its a 20 character key, only visable on the wifi box. This is a computer I just bought from my room mate and don't know what he had on it or what he did on it. On the screen I have the title, and below it says NET:: ERR_CERT_INVALID. Preferably I'd like to wipe the computer clean and rid it of all his stuff on here (as he is a constant downloader of movies and music). Thanks for your help! ChrisDDS (Ver_2012-11-20.01) - NTFS_x86Internet Explorer: 8.0.6001.18702Run by Administrator at 22:36:46 on 2014-09-29Microsoft Windows XP Professional 5.1.2600.2.1252.1.1033.18.2047.750 [GMT 1:00].AV: AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition 2012 *Enabled/Outdated* {17DDD097-36FF-435F-9E1B-52D74245D6BF}.============== Running Processes ================.C:\WINDOWS\system32\Ati2evxx.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\Ati2evxx.exeC:\WINDOWS\Explorer.EXEC:\WINDOWS\System32\WLTRYSVC.EXEC:\WINDOWS\System32\bcmwltry.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\spoolsv.exeC:\WINDOWS\System32\SCardSvr.exeC:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\AppleMobileDeviceService.exeC:\Program Files\AVG\AVG2012\avgwdsvc.exeC:\Program Files\Bonjour\mDNSResponder.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\dmwu.exeC:\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin\jqs.exeC:\Program Files\ATI Technologies\ATI Control Panel\atiptaxx.exeC:\Program Files\Common Files\Java\Java Update\jusched.exeC:\WINDOWS\system32\rundll... I'm teaching myself Hyper-V as an alternative to VMWare. I activated Hyper-V on Windows 8.1 and used it to create a Windows 10 virtual machine.
I'm not able to sign in to my Microsoft Account from the virtual machine because "to sign in remotely, you need the right to sign in through Remote Desktop Services."
Also, I can't change my display settings because "the display settings can't be changed from a remote session."
Here's what I've tried so far to remedy the situation:

Same problem on Generation 1 and Generation 2 VMsIn Hyper-V settings, Enhanced Session Mode is allowed in Server and UserIn the Windows 8.1 host machine, the user account with Administrator permissions (which runs Hyper-V) was added to the Hyper-V Administrators groupIn the Windows 8.1 host machine, "Allow remote connections to this computer" is enabled

How can I sign in to my Microsoft Account, and change my display settings, from a Hyper-V virtual machine?

Hi, a recent issue for my partner's laptop is in signing into her Hotmail account. She has Win 7 sp 1 64 bit, the same as my pc.
I can automatically sign-in but she has to type her username each time, which is a recent event.
Have searched on the Microsoft forums and sites, which does have posts relating to this problem, but no solution.

Does anyone have an answer to this issue?

Appreciate any help with this.
